Comfortable nd quiet accommodations in the historic, yet lively Manayunk neighborhood. Spectacular breakfasts...good coffee. Kind host.

The Manayunk Chambers Guest House was the equivalent to a 5-star hotel with a special breakfast dining experience. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the owner. He even gave me a brief history of the Guest House. Fascinating! My room was beautifully decorated with the top-of-the-line room amenities. For Breakfast, the Guest House owner served freshly baked pastries, which he baked himself, plus a delicious fruit entree to compliment. The Guest House is perfectly located a few blocks for Manayunk main street which is filled with shops, restaurants, pubs and live music. Thank you, Mark, for making my 4-night stay the perfect vacation get-a-way.

Mark went above and beyond what I have experienced before in welcoming, accommodating and clearly enjoying and taking pride in what he has created with his guest house. The rooms were beautiful with extra touches, the food delicious and the service superb. Thank you so much!

A short walk into main part of town this bnb is beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was home made pastries and fresh fruit and yogurt. Mark provides comfort and elegance with personal care and I would be happy to return

Excellent experience. Clean rooms, friendly people. Location is walking distance to main street but far enough away to be quiet. Breakfast was the best freshly made baked goods and fruit I have had in some time, expertly prepared. We don't typically do BnB stays, but we were both very glad we did. Thank you Mark!

When we were planning our trip to Manayunk, we searched for a less expensive and more personal alternative to a hotel, and we were very pleased with this guest house. Our room was comfortable, attractive and quiet. The guest house is within walking distance to many good restaurants, which is advantageous since parking is difficult. Breakfast was included and consisted of a lovely presentation of fresh fruit, yogurt and a basket of delicious breads. Our host was attentive and helpful with recommendations on restaurants and things to do. We appreciated the variety of snacks and drinks at our disposal. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and hope to return.

We had a fabulous weekend.  We were busy with two graduations in the area, and it was wonderful to have such a lovely and welcoming home base to gather in between events.  The house is so charming, decorated beautifully, and loaded with amenities.  The location is very convenient to the surrounding areas and walking to the main street.  And we can’t say enough about the delicious breakfasts!  Thank you for making our weekend extra special.

We had a great stay at the Manayunk Chambers Guest House. The host, Mark, greeted us and showed us the parlor with all the amenities available: coffee, cold drinks, wine, snacks and array of books and quiet piano music to enjoy any time of day or night. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated in Victorian fashion. My room (Garden Suite) had a very nice bathroom as well. Breakfast was fantastic and included fresh pastries and bread, toasted granola, fresh fruit and juice with a little different twist every day. As a vegan, Mark accommodated me with plant based butter, soy yogurt and vegan smoothies in the mini-fridge! I would recommend this place highly and will definitely be staying there again when I visit my family in Manayunk.

Beautiful house, very confortable room, impeccably clean. The breakfasts are the most delicious and truly unforgettable. Convenient location to restaurants, shops and nature walks along the canal. The host Mark is not only an amazing baker but so gracious and attentive.

Outstanding, truly high-touch, heart-centric stay at the Manayunk Guest House. From the moment my mom and I arrived, I was enchanted by the place. It is cozy, refined, and swoonworthy. I was sending photos to my family saying I could not wait to bring them there someday. Our entire Philly trip was made memorable because of this guest house, its wonderful owner Mark and the sweetest innkeeper and assistant, Cynthia. 100% most memorable bnb experience of my life. Warm, welcoming, and wonderful! This B&B was such a great find. Our innkeeper Mark was the perfect host — AND a master baker! Breakfast was truly awesome. Relaxing in front of a fire with a glass of wine in the cozy living room was perfect after a long drive. Plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. Warm, comfy rooms. Highly recommended!

Mark is a fantastic host, and this little gem was well worth every dime! He is a baker by trade and made the BEST fresh pastries for breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Walking distance to bars and restaurants galore. It was a wonderful stay!

This is an attractive and comfortable B&B in a lively neighborhood with many restaurants and specialty stores. The room was very comfortable. The host, Mark, was attentive and helpful. His breakfasts were excellent, with delicious house-baked pastries. Parking is at a premium in the area, but overnight parking on Main St. (free between 8 PM and 9:30 AM) was plentiful and there are a few small parking lots that were not full. We highly recommend this place.

I loved staying here! Mark was so attentive and easy to communicate with, he let us check in fairly early and made us feel welcome. The room was good, bed was comfy and bathroom was good. I loved the downstairs parlor, plenty of refreshments including multiple types of tea, seltzer and wine. Breakfast was lovely and you could tell it was homemade. My only small complaint was a few small areas of the room were a little dusty but that's easy to fix. Location was convenient to downtown manayunk and I found parking fairly easily at 2pm on a weekday. I'd 100% return! I can imagine in the winter it would feel extra cozy!

Mark is not just a wonderful host, a caring, kind soul genuinely active in this colorful community, but the man is also a damned magician in the kitchen. I can't recall the last time I've had such perfection in the pastry arts. If ever. Add to it a wonderful sense of humor and a deep understanding of all that is cool about the area, and I don't think you could ask for a better place to stay. Thanks so much again Mark!

This is a fantastic little gem. The house is restored beautifully, the breakfast is light and delicious, and the location cannot be beat (a pleasant neighborhood with a small-town feel that's only a short train ride to Center City). Mark is a gracious and responsive host. We would be excited to go back at the first opportunity.

Mark was a gracious host and the lodging was beautiful. It was located within east walking distance of all the shops and restaurants downtown. Parking was a little difficult but it wasn’t too bad to find a spot on the street.

I stayed here overnight after moving my daughter into her home for her last year of college. I couldn’t have picked a warmer, cozier, or peaceful place….run by wonderful people. It was relaxing and just what my soul needed. Mark is an amazing host and made me feel at home the minute I made the reservation. Mark went above and beyond …..excellent communication prior to arrival…welcomed me at the door and shared details of my stay (while sitting in the warm and inviting parlor loaded with interesting books, player piano, AND complimentary wine/beer/water)…..and woke up to an amazing breakfast (doesn’t hurt that Mark is a trained and seasoned baker/pastry chef). I will obviously be back and hopefully soon! Was hard to leave! Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience at the Manayunk Chambers. My wife and I stayed here for our wedding and were blown away with the room, the breakfast, and the graciousness/kindness of Mark (the owner). Mark went above and beyond to make our time special. We lived 3 minutes away for years and never knew this hidden gem existed, but will most certainly come back and tell all our friends and family to do the same.

If you want to feel like you are a special guest, I encourage you to stay at the Manayunk Chambers Guest House. You will be greeted by the owner as if you are a good friend and stay in a romantic room and a house with a combination of antiques yet comfort. We loved Manayunk with its many restaurants and little shops.

If you're looking for a quiet, clean, and charming place to stay with a warm and gracious host, and exquisite, delicious breakfasts made with expert care, this is it. Mark is the consummate host; it is obvious he's had years of experience and loves what he does. Every detail and decision in making guests feel comfortable and welcome has been given thought. The location is a short walk to Main Street where independent shops and a wide array of restaurants await. We look forward to our next visit when we will again stay with Mark at his superb guest house.

Beautiful house located a short walk to Main Street and a short drive to Philadelphia. Mark was very helpful during our stay and his morning breakfasts were outstanding. Room was very comfortable. Guests have 24/7 access to coffee, water, beer, wine and snacks.

An excellent bed and breakfast with a breakfast that provides freshly baked goods and fresh fruit, prepared on-site by Mark. Mark is an excellent host and is very accommodating, he allowed us to drop off our bags and let us check in early once the room was cleaned (we had a super early flight arrival). If you are staying in Manayunk, everything is very walkable and public transportation is very close. This is the perfect place to launch your Philadelphia explorations from, you'll be so tired at the end of your days that you won't mind not having a TV....you'll just want to crash and do it all over again. I will definitely stay again when in the area.

I had a great time at the Guest House. Mark met me when I arrived and even set me up with "to-go" bags of his from scratch baked goods in the morning.

The breakfast was the best I've ever had at any B&B (maybe ever). *Chef's kiss* to Mark! The location's great; right up the hill from the train stop and Main Street. The room was super comfy (the bathroom had heated floors!) and the ambiance was superb (don't forget to check out the scrap book when you're there). 5 stars 🤩

My husband and I stayed at Manayunk Chambers Guest House for the long weekend over President's Day. The bed and breakfast is beautiful restored, and Mark (our host) kept the sitting room as a lobby and lounge area, which made me feel like I was stepping back in time in the best ways. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and our bathroom had heated floors, a large clawfoot tub, and a separate shower. The best part of our stay was easily the breakfast. Mark bakes fresh pastries for all of his guests daily, and after returning home, I've found myself wishing I had a pocket Mark who would bake these delicious treats for me every day. The B&B is located a short walk from Manayunk's Main Street, which has a lot of small town charm with plenty of dining, drinking, and shopping options to choose from (I recommend The Goat's Beard for brunch). The train station is just off Main Street, and Center City is about a 20 minute train ride from Manayunk. When my husband and I go visit Philly again, we will definitely be staying at Manayunk Chambers Guest House!

Wonderful experience! The room was cozy. The Inn was spectacularly decorated. Mark was personable and the food was fantastic! He went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend!

This bed and breakfast is a few minute walk from a lot of bars, restaurants, brewery, etc. The location is perfect, and the neighborhood is safe. The place is well maintained, cozy and charming. Mark, our host, was very accomodating, and made us delicious pastries for breakfast. Definitely stay here when visiting Manayunk!

The personal touch. That’s what you get from Mark. What a gracious host in a charming city town home. Easy walk down to Main Street. It is Manayunk, so parking is an adventure but Mark will help all he can. Delicious breakfast! Free beer and wine is a treat. Can’t wait to go back.
