Service and presentation were fine. Food was extremely bland and tasteless. Not like it was used to be here.

Come back to Illinois! Marigold Maison has the best Indian food in the area. I went many times at bannackburn location and Lincolnshire. Many people mis you! I'm sure the rent is sky high in lake county. How about over the border in Wisconsin and a smaller venue. I will drive to eat there. Please just a hole in the wall takeout. Anything. The tika masala was like no other.

Picked up 2 orders from there recently. On the first order it wasn't prepared by the time I got there. The two female staff members refused to give me an amount of time that the order would be ready in. My second visit. The two women staff members refused to acknowledge me. So the owner (I'm guessing seeing as his picture was in the restaurant.)had to ask me what order I was picking up. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's getting old that every time we try and order they say they are unavailable or closed when they aren't but they evidently are just not delivering. It gets tiring and we just end up ordering from another Indian restaurant or another restaurant all together. Sigh. AWFUL.

I didn't know how great Indian food could be. In fact I wasn't sure I would even like it. Not only. has Marigold changed my mind but I have been there three more times. since my first visit. it's incredible and I wish I could suggest what to eat. yet it's all so good. and I still don't. know exactly what the dishes are called. At. this point it doesn't matter because its all so good.

This was the first Indian restaurant we tried in Scottsdale about 5-6 years ago. We weren’t crazy about it the first time, but someone highly recommended it as one of their favorites, so since it’s been a while we decided to try it out again for lunch on a Saturday. The waiter provided excellent service and was knowledgeable about the food and discussed its sustainability which is great. His recommendation of mixing their lemonade with black tea to create an Arnold Palmer was the best part of the meal. Unfortunately as a vegan, my veggie Hakka noodles tasted like seafood as if there was some cross contamination going on! The yellow dahl was pretty good and had repeat value but the Hakka noodles ruined it for me to the point I had to write a review to talk about the cross contamination experience.

Love the food. Half the time when I would like to order they're closed, such as 1:30 pm on a Saturday, so I'll be spending elsewhere.

Spectacular Indian Food! Seriously, this place may have the best Indian food anywhere in the valley, and the owners are such lovely and wonderful people. They order all of their spices directly from India and grind them and the quality of the other ingredients is also amazing. Plenty of options for every type of dietary concern, all in a very charming location. Very fair prices as well.

Everything was great. We ordered chicken thali and aloo paratha. Food was awesome. The song selections there was perfect. We even heard a bengali song.

I came here almost 3yrs ago and sang its praises but with my recent visit something felt different like maybe ownership changed. It was still ok but just ok.

Jeffrey, our waiter was fantastic. Food is okay. It doesn't have the authentic Indian flavor. Especially the naan was different! Almost like a regular pita bread! We would go back again. Maybe other dishes have more flavor! We ordered the eggplant dish! The yogurt drink was smooth and refreshing...

The food has no Indian taste. The price was exorbitant. You know what?? They wanted us to forcibly give them tip which was very untypical of Indian restaurant in the nation. Don’t try to go there or you will feel sorry.

I called in a takeout order to Marigold Maison, one of the tastiest Indian restaurants around. Known for authentic North Indian dishes, I came by to grab tea time snacks. When I arrived, the order was not quite ready yet, so there was a 5 minute wait. But the samosas, paneer pakoda, and dahi poori were hot and perfectly packaged up when completed. The samosa shell was delicately crisp and encased a savory potato blend inside. The pakoda was made up of lightly crispy batter around paneer cheese cubes. And the dahi poori contrasted tangy cool yogurt with the crispy poori bread. The flavors were clearly prepared with expertise and care. Considering the great quality and convenience of pickup even with the short wait, Marigold Maison remains my go-to when I want to savor the deliciousness of authentic Indian food at home. I would highly recommend them for takeout anytime!

If your a delivery driver avoid this place at all costs you will lose money waiting

I just ordered samosa chat sorry but it is not worth of eating samosa chaat just dipped in tamarind is not a chaat at all. I don’t how people have posted that samosa and samosa chaat is good.

They have very limited options in their menu. Food taste is not as expected and not worthy for the price. Ordered food with medium spice and we got it with extra spice (felt like chilly flakes were added right before serving). If you are looking for actual Indian cuisine especially south Indian, then please don’t prefer this.

Great service. However, the food was just ok. I came here for the authentic Indian spice, but I didn’t find it when I dine here. However, they were very generous with meat in every dishes.

I am updating this review. Unfortunately I feel that their food doesn’t taste as good as before and the variety of options has dwindled. This used to be my favorite Indian food restaurant and since my last two visits, it just isn’t the same. I will try it one more time in the near future and see if there have been any positive changes.

Food was pretty bad and unflavored. This is not REAL Indian cuisine... it's basically a ritzied / modern take on Indian food but in regards to flavor it's nowhere near real Indian food. Also the spice is a joke, I asked for as spicy as possible and the dish was maybe a 3/10 on the spice scale. Service was atrocious. We were waiting for ever to have our server come to the table and to collect our bill we basically had to chase someone down. Don't even attempt to wave anyone down from your table, they'll simply look at you and ignore you. Won't be going back. If you want authentic Indian good THIS IS NOT IT. Also way overpriced

The service is not good, little attention at the reception and I was waiting for more than an hour and they only said that the order was coming, but in the end my order had not even started and all the people who arrived later had already received their food. I was very disappointed by the lack of sincerity of the people who work at this place.

Food was fantastic! Came out hot without a long wait. Tasted.really really good. Not too Spicy, chilli sauce served on side, so you can adjust to taste. Appetizer was also delicious. The service was great even though they were short handed. This was my wife's & I first try after great recommendation by friend, we will definitely be returning. They lived up to their great reputation. We simply loved this cozy, family run restaurant! Best to get there early to Ovid the crowds. PG

Made a reservation on Open Table for my son's birthday. Drove 30 minutes and when we got there, they had already closed the kitchen. Staff didn't seem to care. Used to be a good place but last couple visits were not great either.

Why tf is it 22$ for an entree ? What generation do you live in

We reach there from 40 miles and they have change the close timing and donot change in google so it’s very redeculaa for this type of bussiness this type of management does not think usa

This place sets the close time randomly. I drove 40 miles after taking the reservation for 8pm to know that they close at 8pm. Closing time is supposed to be 8:30. Do not trust any website or google. Always call before taking the drive. We were not seated and the response was cold. This has happened to me thrice now. You guys should improve your system or atleast update your website and dont give out reservations

I never had too sweet Indian curry even if you ask for spicy curry.

We’ve tried many things,,,,tikka masala, samosas, lassi, tea, curry, naan, etc. We usually get chicken tikka masala, naan, and rice. I like it a bit spicy, so I ask for it. It’s best when I can eat outside on the little patio.

Food was okay…not authentic Indian food. Tried samosa chat today, it was very Sour and no onions in it. Dal tadka was good but but sour. Tried butter roti…it was not cooked properly. Paneer makhani was very sweet.

Restaurant has tables for both and indoor and outdoor dining. We were here on a Saturday evening. Abraham was our waiter, manning the entire restaurant literally solo. Super pleasant and friendly. We started with Chicken Pakora and Gobi. Both were good, Pakora a real winner. For mains we ordered Paneer Masala (flavorful sauce), Fish Tikka (salmon was awesome), Chana Masala (nicely seasoned) and Chicken Biryani. Garlic Naan was gone in an instant. A winner.

Have eaten in the Restaurant and take out. Everything we tried has been fabulous!!

We stopped in before a movie and had a great dinner! Greeted immediately and seated quickly. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with the spicy entrees we wanted. Chana Masala and Vindaloo Chicken were both flavorful and plentiful. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow! We also enjoyed garlic naan. Not too garlicky and very light. I forgot our server’s name but he was pleasant and knowledgeable. We will definitely go back!

Went for dinner and tried Gol Gappa and Chiken Curry. Curry was watery and felt they could have cooked more. Okay ish overall...not authentic Indian food for sure. One comment to owner - Restroom has these frames with Indian Pictures - Why represent some minority group of Indians? You think people will find interesting to see Indian village women carrying water or person fixing bike Tyre, people using bullock cart and street sellers! Show all sides if you really want to make it interesting.

This was Me and my fiancé’s first time eating Indian food we where so nervous I kept looking at the menu when I tell you guys everything we had wasssssss soooo good I will be back the curry the tikkamasala omg Amazing.Abraham our host I love him he told me what to get and it was so good the customer service amazing I will for sure be back thank you so much.

Wonderful food cannot overcome horrible service. We have been coming to this restaurant twice a year for 7 years. We always make reservations through Open Table because they are always busy. The last three times we have even in, we have been served by a small older lady that is rude, slow to serve us and really does not like being there. Tonight we walked in early for our reservation and she told us they were too busy with the Ferrari Club and she wouldn't honor our reservation. No.more Marigold Maison for us. Rudeness just can not overcome food.

Good service. Authentic Indian food wise… lacked flavorful taste in the food ordered. Maybe good for people that don’t like any spice in their food, however, for a better Indian food flavorful experience, was not up to par with the chicken tikka .

I've been to many Middle Eastern restaurants in the valley and this is the best by far! Amazing food, great service and recommendations. The Tikka Marsala with lamb was omg fantabulous as is all of their food. I highly recommend if you're wanting something different and amazing.

We live close and were searching for something new to try, and we're glad we stumbled across this Indian gem. The restaurant is quaint, being right near many other restaurants. They had one server, which was ample for a Sunday night. We ordered chicken Korma and Lamb Korma. The portions were perfect for two hungry people, and rice was served along side the meal. It was tasty, good value, and perfect if you want great Indian food. They are only open for dinner, so no Indian food at lunch there. Great service and great attitudes by the owner and the server.

We had a 7 PM reservation and were on time. After sitting down and settling in, we placed the appetizer and drink order. however, at 7:30 our waiter came back to us and told us we should place the entree order as well b/c their kitchen closes at 8 PM. This was a complete shock to us as we were hoping to enjoy our dinner rather than rushing it. The restaurant did not rush us to leave except for placing the main order. They did tell us we could still order dessert later (though everyone was pretty stuffed). In terms of food and flavors, everything we ordered (pretty much everything vegetarian) was delish! I would def. come back here, just give yourself enough time to ensure you can enjoy a slow paced dinner. Maybe call them before hand to confirm what time they will be open till.

I ordered tandoori chicken on Christmas Eve. It was not tandoori but rather just plain chicken with no spices on it and wet like it had been stewed or steamed. Not sure what their interpretation is for tandoori but it wasn't this - very disappointed! Also ordered chicken Tikka. It wasn't very good chicken. Seemed like leftover chicken cut up

My Dad and I went last Friday for the first time for dinner, it was phenomenal. The service, the food, the atmosphere….all a pleasant experience. Abraham and his assistant were so friendly and welcoming. We love Indian food and will be back for sure! Thank you for a great evening.

Amazing food, clean restaurant. Respectfully staff. Update: we dined here again last night after a few years and was still satisfied with our experience. We sat outside on their patio which are the best seats there. The menu has been scaled down a bit but it still provides many great options and our favorite Tika Masala is still on the menu. Can't go wrong with adding chicken and the amount of spice/heat is customizable. We will definitely be back 👍

We are so lucky we found this business… It was a recommendation by some friends who hadn’t even been there but we are so glad we went… We have been several times and everything is a home run. The bread is exquisite and each dish just a little bit different. Very authentic and we recommend it highly !!

Our very favorite Indian food, nice service.

Ate here for my birthday dinner. The food was okay. We only got two entrees so I can’t really say much about the rest of the food items they offer other than the ones I got bc they did have quite a few options, but I kept our order simple for my fiancé’s sake. The gulab jamun was my favorite part of the meal and very delicious.

This is a fantastic place to get really well made Indian cuisine. The menu is not overly complicated but has some amazing choices. The staff is wonderful and very helpful for those in your party that may not have had this type of food before. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for classic and innovative choices.

I didn't like Indian food until I ate at Margold Maison. Not only did they make me like Indian food, every time i've eaten there, the food had been amazing. I rave about this place whenever the topic of Indian food comes up. I highly recommend it and I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Super yummy, love eating here, the food quality is consistent and you will leave with leftovers. I was told their vegetarian dish Malai Kofta (Dumplings) was one of the best things on the menu by the bartender on my first visit. Despite my love for chicken tikka masala, I ordered the dish and wow was it good. I can't get myself to order anything else on the menu because I have never had anything like it.

You can’t find any bad item on the menu. It all tastes great and authentic. I came with two friends from Bangladesh and they came back two days in a row proclaiming that it was the most yummy and legitimate Indian eatery in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Also, while here, try a few of the various Naan breads. The variety is wonderful. Every time I come here, I realize why I love it so much.

The Chef at this place is pretty cool! The food has always been amazing. Been coming here for years.... I remember when it was a smaller restaurant and like chipotle style. Wish the restaurant would open earlier instead of 5 :-/.

This was my favorite spot to eat when I visited AZ last week. Their chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) was my favorite over rice and garlic naan. So yummy that I am still dreaming of it. Their Chicken Tikka and Samosas were great as well.

I never quite knew about Indian cuisine and was hesitant to try. I tried it and This place is amazing and delicious. Authentic dishes with fresh ingredients. If you want to try something new, try the Tikka masala and samosa Chaat!! Yum yums

Very Delicious and Authentic Indian Cuisine. This was my second visit and I will definately be coming back again. The service was very good and our server took time to explain the background and process of making Paneer.

Tikka Masala is incredible! Spice it up with a side of the Vindaloo chile sauce.. bam! Curry is good too.

Amazing restaurant!!! My husband and I devoured the lamb saag and the chicken tikka masala! The mango salad was one of a kind and the shrimp tikka was OMG. BOMB DIGGITY BOMB FOOD and SERVICE!

A good intentioned chefs plan going wrong — chef tried best to make up for our bad experience. The food is mediocre, creamy and lacks the Indian spice touch. Understaffed, rude service and forgetful. Not sure why you would want the lethal combination of mediocre food and horrible service for night out with your kids.

Very Nice and beautiful place. The food is awesome and i will definitely visiting again. We went a small group and the ambience , staff , food everything was really great. The staff were very friendly and smiling. This experience is a good one to remember. The Thali was having good options and not too spiced up or less. Has good veg and non veg options as well. Price is also average. Good work team, keep it up. We will be visiting more often for sure .

Here's a thing you should know about Indian food. It's impossible to find an exact match for the food you really get in India abroad. And it makes sense, cz the key ingredients i.e. spices and species of vegetables are either sourced or local to US and can't be always fresh. But Marigold Mansion comes as close as it can get to giving you a authentic Indian food experience. Special mention: Mango Lassi

Definitely one of the best vegan thali plates I have had! Everything is always delicious when I eat here! The dal has a wonderful flavor. Great portion size for the price. Service is good as well.

Very nice staff that are helpful and knowledgeable of the cuisine. Highly recommend trying the "all you can eat sampler" if you are not sure what tastes good, but I promise you all of it is delicious! It was worth the trip from Tucson!
