We had a first amazing experience here! Food, service and overall environment was more than fantastic!! The manger (or owner) was soo welcoming and friendly! Will definitely be returning!

We have been to Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Mexico, and all over the USA. This is BY FAR the best Indian Food we have ever had. God bless the owner and his family, they are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. I get this food on my birthday every year. We have also tried just about every Indian restaurant in the Phoenix area, and none even come close to comparing to this one. Thank you Star of India and may God give you prosperous futures and allow you to continue blessing the people of Arizona with A+++ quality Indian food for generations to come!

We just had a delicious meal at Star of India. They were quite busy, so my husband's meal came after mine, but it was just three people handling multiple tables, so no dings for that. The food is fresh made and honestly, it was the best chicken saag I've ever eaten. Rich and full of flavors, with lots of chicken. I ordered a spice level of 3/5 but it was so flavorful I didn't miss the extra heat. I had enough to take some home for leftovers. My husband ordered chicken biryani and it was a large amount, so there's enough left for two lunches! The garlic naan was fresh, soft and airy. I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner was very pleased and grateful that we enjoyed our meal. I will definitely go again, and save room for dessert next time.

Very good and authentic Indian food; the mango lassi was amazing and very sweet, unlike some other restaurants that make the mango lassi bitter. The garlic Naan was tasty and very crispy, and the chicken Tika Masala had a very good taste and texture. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the rice. I think they put some type of spice I didn't like, but it still wasn't bad. The service was amazing, and the restaurant was very clean. I got family-run vibes from the place. The food is also Halal, which is amazing. I got my whole meal within 10–15 minutes, which is very fast for Indian restaurants.

We love this place and the food is delicious. Unfortunately, it took over an hour for our food. They need to get better systems in place. It seems like this is an ongoing issue. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! This Indian cuisine is absolutely amazing!!! Had palak paneer, extra spicy. Sooo delicious. My brother in law is in town and was craving some, so we ordered from Star of India for the first time tonight! I’m sad I haven’t tried it before, but sooo glad I found it now! Preet, we’ll be back!! Food was Fantastic! Our first time here. There were 5 in our group. We loved everything! We were not rushed and could take our time enjoying our meals, drinks, and talking. Great service. Very attentive. We really liked the Indian beers Kingfisher and Taj Majal. We definitely recommend coming for dinner. We will be back!

We've been dining at this family-owned restaurant for many, many years, but in the recent year past we have not made it over. Well, we did last night, and the meal was FANTASTIC as usual. Everything was bursting with flavor, freshness, and all homemade, by family members. We've known this family and restaurant for years! The service is on point, restaurant is very clean, and everyone is very happy to see you, THANK YOU Star of India, we will see you soon. For the record we had Curry Chicken, Chicken Saag, Vegetable Biryanis, and Garlic Naan.

Been eating here for years and it's still not "old" to my taste buds. Never had a bad meal here. Service is sometimes spotty and take-out can take what feels like forever but the food and friendly and accommodating owner is more than worth any slight ding. Love the mini bar and the ambiance with the Indian tunes playing.

Fist time HERE & now a forever REGULAR. Delicious succulent dishes of every form, each bite was like a fluffy cloud of heaven. Garlic NAN bread is a must have. It's been 9 long years since I had this type of fine cuisine and it brings me joy and I can't wait to have more real soon. To top off my experience, the atmosphere is so welcoming and a class of its own, I recommend those who have elite but particular palettes, please judge in your own discretion.

The BEST Indian food in the valley!! 🏆 We have been here a few times but last night really was outstanding! I placed an order to go in person and went next door while we waited. THIS RESTAURANT IS A SCAM! We've ordered here before with no issues, everything was fine. Not this time though. Placed an order online that should have cost ~50 dollars, ended up getting charged $75 for the whole thing. Turns out, their online prices are NOT their actual prices and nowhere does it say that! Tried to call them about it to get our money back and they tried to gaslight us about the whole thing. Will be posting on all the forums about poor business practices. 0/10 service would not recommend.

Placed a takeout order and our food wasn't quite ready (SHORT WAIT) but we were offered refreshments immediately and enjoyed the atmosphere. We just ran into this this little restaurant. We ordered palak paneer, daal maharani, garlic naan, veggie samosa and kheer. The food was great. The kheer tasted a little dated or stale. Update: Their food quality has improved tremendously and very delicious! Tried chicken curry, garlic roti, vegetable samosa, daal maharani and vegetable byrianni. The price is steep, which would prevent us from dining their frequently; other than that I would recommend this restaurant to others to try it out.
