The food was good. We would go back there again.

An unassuming restaurant in a strip mall with excellent sushi! The hand rolls are divine and the salmon nigiri is absolutely delicious. Order on line for pickup or head in to experience lovely service!

Food was genuinely bad. We are visiting Santa Fe, and wanted a change from New Mexican food. The only thing edible was the edamame. I ordered a veggie special, and everything just tasted sort of weird and old. Not sure why this has a high rating at all. Would not recommend.

This has hot to be the worst wannabe Japanese sushi place in the whole country. Pathetic ambience - abominal servuce, and the chef needs to be educated on the basics if preparing sudhi

Took my grandkids here for a late lunch. The food and service were very good it is like a cafeteria type setting but quaint, good Japanese music as well. I had a very good pan beef with rice noodles, delicious. Everyone else had the rolls, avocado, California, veggie catapiller, tuna, happy, and the shrimp roll, with a side of meatless Japanese fried rice. They didn't have any mango mochi, but the strawberry one was good. It was a bit short on the edamame, but it was good. I did like their iced green tea, very tasty. The place is clean and the staff is very attentive. Plenty of parking.

We were definitely pleased with our dinner. The sushi was great and the server, Sophia, was the sweetest. We definitely will go back there when we visit again. We had •wontons (cream cheese filled- 1st pic) •shrimp tempura roll (2nd pic) •tiger roll (not pictured because it was so good we ate it too fast) •spicy tuna roll (last pic on left) •mars roll (last pic on right) We are a little picky about sushi, so we were happy to find some where that we feel is as fresh as possible being so far from water. The price of the rolls is definitely worth the money. They do not skimp on the fish! We can’t wait to go back!

The fish servings get smaller and smaller. Have to think about ever coming back. Understood the price increase but the less food is not a good value. In 21 years having survived 3 owners and lots of changes, I get it. At $150 a dinner the serving sizes are not worth it anymore. Bummer

Exceptional food. Waitress was impersonal, indifferent, unfriendly, unconcerned, and did not earn her 20% that we left. It's not that complicated of a job at a very simple establishment. Food was exceptional though.

ALWAYS good. The green chile tempura roll is the best thing I've ever eaten.

Delicious little hole-in-the-wall. Miso is some of the best I've ever had. Softshell crab was also some of the best ever and I love eating sushi so this place is legit. Ordered: avocado roll, sweet potato roll, ojo caliente roll, spider roll, California, Calamari roll, miso, soft shell crab, and seaweed salad. Service was super fast and attentive with water refills but not hover-y.

We ordered takeout at a busy time. The customer service was excellent, we felt taken care of and the food did not take too long. The gyoza was perfectly cooked and delicious, and our sushi rolls were great as well.

Not bad. I really like sushi and sashimi. I thought the quality wasn’t great, but I do understand how hard it must be to get quality fresh fish in a landlocked place. The service was awesome. Kind of overpriced for the quality. The nigiri tasted fine, however, the small ball of rice under the huge piece of salmon didn't have a good balance. We received extra pics of salmon with some bits left on which was interesting. Eel was incredible and had a good portion of rice underneath. I'd honestly take a smaller portion of salmon on the nigiri.

My only go to place for sushi. If alone I sit at the bar and talk to Sam. I love the monkey balls, spicy, tuna salad, and the special rolls in particular. Service is typically quick and the fish is fresh. Always flexible when it comes to ordering something unique.

I am sorry to say this place has lost some of the best sushi. I had visited b4 and food was amazing, this time we had the camel roll and was disappointed. Not the flavor as we have had b4. The Service was not good at all. Had to ask for basic things that are common sense to give out to people like plates and utensils. All do the food was on spot the service messed it up. Had an argument with the bartender that never should’ve happened. Paid in cash in large bill for lunch and waited for change. When I asked for change, bartender said you told me to keep it. To which I replied no I did not. Instead of returning change promptly , the bartender kept change, left the bar area for quite awhile. When bartender returned, I asked for the change again, and copy of receipt. She told me she threw the receipt away and had no record of my bill. By this time I was already 40 minutes into trying to get my change. Who doesn’t keep the receipt who throws the receipt from a customers lunch away? I keep my receipts for tax deduction. I really wanted to like this place, and I was so excited to go. A cute little hole in the wall, kind of dingy on the inside but with authentic-feeling Japanese decor here and there. Unfortunately, it smelled like old fish and bleach. My wife got the chicken yakisoba, which I had a bite of. It tasted swampy, murky, like the sauce was dirty or old, and the chicken was just okay. When they arrived, there were two colors of wasabi mashed together on my plate, one normal-looking and one a kind of radioactive green. The california roll used crab stick, cucumber, and a dab of avocado for filling, so none of the creaminess that I love so much. Mostly just crunchy and watery. And it was watery. I have had meals at Masa Sushi since it opened with a Japanese sushi chef, probably 15-20 years. It changed hands years ago to a Korean sushi chef & it was OK. This evening we had take out, since all the restaurants in Santa Fe are take out only. The food was not just bad it was horrible. This is the last time we will ever eat here again. I recommend against ever eating here. Over priced & BAD.

We went there for Mothers Day - the Sushi was delicious and the service was excellent. I still believe that it is rude to set a minimum number of characters as I an taking my time to aid in your marketing programs.

We'd been on the road for 10 days, and were running low on clean clothes. Our hotel did not have laundry facilities so we found a laundromat quite a distance from "home". Now, it takes a long time (and not a little money) to use a laundromat in Santa Fe, NM. Maybe that's true anywhere--but how would I know? I'm a guy. By the time our four loads were cleaned and dry, we were very hungry. As we were waiting for the laundry process to finish, we looked around the little strip center and saw one Mexican restaurant, but were a little burned out on Mexican food. Then we spotted Masa Sushi and decided to give it a try. We ate two kinds of sushi. Also, my wife had vegetable tempura while I had shrimp tempura. Both were very, very good. But I only got 4 shrimp and one piece of vegetable on my dish. I thought that was pretty skimpy and, so, overpriced. But we enjoyed our meal; the sushi was fresh and good. The tempura was also good, but as I said, mine was overpriced for the size of the entree. Would we eat here again? Yes, we would.
