Wow! This is an amazing restaurant! I highly recommend it to my friends and family.

Had a great time there yesterday the food was great and the music by John Ranel was perfect.

This was our 3rd time dining here. First time was over 2 years ago and since we moved to Punta Gorda it’s a bit further drive but wow well worth it. Tonight we celebrated getting married and chose to have our dinner here. It did not disappoint. We started with shrimp Rangoon which was their own version of crab Rangoon but 100x better. We also ordered the crab cake which was good, we did enjoy the pickle veg that accompanied it. They still had the $40 restaurant week menu which My wife ordered, beef brisket poutine. It was my first time having poutine and wow amazing, brisket was so juicy, I couldn’t care too much for the cheese with it but overall great. By the time our entrees were served we were both getting full. I had the duck breast which the portion was huge. Best duck breast I’ve had. My wife had the skirt steak which she barely touched bc she was so full by that point but I’ll be eating that for lunch tomorrow. To end we had the bread pudding which topped it all off. Went for restaurant week 😋 the menu was amazing, l portions for the 40.00 price where so big !! Or waitress aka the bartender was so nice!! Live music 🎶 Will return again even worth the 45 minute drive 👍👍👍👌

As soon as we walked in we were in love with the piano and the paintings of some of the greatest music artists of all time on there and on walls throughout the restaurant. Every course was fresh and delicious and our server, Kelly was impeccable! She was friendly, attentive and helpful when ordering (plus she has the cutest hair color). If we lived in Sarasota we would definitely visit often! I highly recommend this restaurant!

When walking into Mattisons 41, you are instantly struck with the warm welcoming atmosphere of this excellent establishment. The kind hostesses and well experienced staff are always a friendly sight to see. Not only is this establishment family ran, it is completely professional. Whether it is the compassion shown from the hostess, or the expertise shown by the waiting staff, this establishment is one to write home about. Mattisons 41, you have earned yourself a life-long customer!

I visited this dining establishment during the savor sarasota week. The brisket poutine was to die for and the marinated strip steak was one to write home about. As soon as you walk into the place you are met with a classy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are super nice and the service is near instantaneous. I will 100% be returning here very soon.

Our family chose Mattison's for a birthday celebration. The service, recognition, and attention paid to the birthday girl made the evening all that more enjoyable. We ordered Shrimp and rice, Salmon, and two pizzas. All the dishes came out at the same time and were outstanding!

Attending a large work dinner party which rented out the entire back room. Service and food were excellent. Highly recommend

We just had an unbelievable experience for Easter Brunch.... we have eaten at the best of the best Capital Grille Ritz.... the quality here was by far the best.... @ $30 pp .... didn't go for the price .... but was delighted with the quality !!

We made reservations and were excited for Easter dinner. When we arrived we were seated in a booth which was freezing. We tried to ignore the temperature but could not due to the fact that when we sat down the air conditioning blowing on our food turned it cold instantly. We asked the waitress if it was always cold and she brushed us off saying she was hot. I had to go up to the entrance hostess to request another seat. We asked for a different seat and were accommodated with an outdoor seat. When we sat outside our table was swarmed with 10-15 flies which we had to swat at in order to eat comfortably. Our waiter outside was unorganized, spilling food and gravy down his shirt. My son in law picked the salmon which was undercooked in the middle. The crepes were soggy and not cooked properly. The uncured ham was as dry as a Popeyes biscuit with no beverage. The whole experience was disappointing and landed us with a 260+ dollar bill. It was not worth it and I would NEVER recommend to anyone.

Fantastic service, superb food, wonderful atmosphere. Live music really set a fun vibe for the whole restaurant. Mae, the manager, made sure our experience was top notch! She was extremely professional, kind and helpful - I thoroughly enjoyed it with my family and highly recommend.

Delicious food. Sweet potato with the salmon dish was wonderful. Great flavor on the dressing on the beet salad and grouper was wonderful. Great service and atmosphere.

dinner for anniversary...wife ordered filet med rare (rare per waiter) and was cooked medium...as the manager (italian) happened by and asked how the steak was and we said over cooked...in 6" she had a replacement "rare" filet with the sides included...delicious...food was very good service the best...wine well priced...and the manager boxed up the medium filet for breakfast...we'll be back...thank you...ron and sue

Food and service are average. Salmon was very sweet and sweet potato souffle left more to be desired. House salad is very good, along with the French onion soup. Atmosphere was dead. Maybe we just hit it on a weird night, but during the peak season time here in Sarasota you would think that it would be hopping.

VERY ACCOMMODATING! I had a reservation for 6 on Thanksgiving day and because it’s a holiday a credit card was required to hold it with a 24 hr cancellation policy. We had an emergency situation and had to cancel less than an hour before the time we were to arrive and due to the circumstances we were not charged. We are very grateful and look forward to dining here in the near future!

This is the second year we have ordered their Thanksgiving feast to go. Absolutely delicious and a great price for all that you get! Our new family tradition. We also love their Mother's Day brunch and Easter brunch buffets!

The newly remodeled Mattison’s 41 offers great service - delicious - locally sourced food - easy and abundant parking and helpful, friendly staff. A great spot for happy hour or a romantic date.

Private dining room, everyone was very friendly. Every person we passed on the way in and out said hello to us!

Highly recommend for great food at reasonable prices in a pleasurable atmosphere. My cold water lobster tail and 10oz filet were cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. Kelly, Roy and Jim know how to treat a hungry customer! And the atmosphere is very swanky with a beautiful piano and artwork galore. A must for a fine dining experience.

The lobster, steak, salmon, and tuna were all delicious. They somehow managed to incorporate classic rock n' roll into the decor yet still maintain an upscale vibe. As for the service, when Donny the bartender heard that I was on a first date, he made a special dessert for us. Definitely coming back.

This is one of the most elegant restaurants in the Sarasota Venice area. The service is impeccable every time. The food never disappoints. This is the second year we've celebrated our anniversary dinner here. We also introduced our friends also from the northeast, and they loved.

The food was decent but not good for the price point. Two of my family members got very bad stomach ache and diarrhea after eating here yesterday evening. They both had the seafood gumbo. The service was ok but not great.

We had a real fun night. I had the Shrimp and mango salad. It was very good, but maybe the mango could have been a bit bigger. The 9 oz filet was very tender. Fish and Chips was excellent. Our waiter Shawn was delightful. He was knowledgeable and a very fun guy. He really contributed to the atmosphere. Definitely give him a high 5. Will go back again.

Allyson is amazing! She made sure to keep me and the paving crew hydrated and fed us delicious food. I can’t wait to come back!

We had a very large group, so we tried a large variety of appetizers and entrees, and they were all excellent, as were the portion sizes. Between that and the very good service, we will definitely return.

We enjoyed our cocktails, charred tomato bisque soup and our entrees - duck for my husband and snapper for me. The risotto that accompanied our dinners was outstanding. The bread was also very good. Our waitress was excellent. This was our first visit to Mattison's Forty-One and we plan to return.

Came for Easter Sunday and I I have never been to a better buffet. I’m clear that a buffet is not their typical fare, but as my first time it could not have been a better experience. The staff were extremely helpful and the facilities were clean and comfortable. I’ll make an effort to get back their for a “regular” day when I go back to visit my family down there in the coming months.

High marks for quality and diversity of the menu. Excellent atmosphere and service. Ample parking.

Been there dozens of times in the 15+ years we have lived here. Keep trying, and yet always disappointed. Mostly staffing attitudes which always seem both not well trained, and worse - not carrying! Actually to the point of rude. For example, last night went and simply asked for more bread for our table of 4 couples, and the waitress response was - "there's 10 pieces in the basket". When we finally convinced her we wanted more, she brings it out and literally tosses it from more than 1' away right onto the table! And the final straw, prompting this review - and one I just knew was coming!!!! - we left a 5% credit card tip, and the waitress conveniently turned it into a 15% tip - did she think I wouldn't check my paper receipt!!! I'm not only asking for my 10% back from Mattisons, I'm asking for the entire $400 bill to be refunded! I've had enough. And truth be told - it's always been a "snobby" place, and overpriced for mediocre at best food.

Food was awesome. Had the rack of lamb and it was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very friendly and really helpful. We had reservations and everything was ready on time. Table was in a perfect place for some privacy. Everyone loved it and no one went broke. Very affordable. Plenty of parking, too. No question a 5 star in my mind.

Reviews sounded great, so the four of us took the plunge. I had requested an outside table but ended up sitting in the fully populated lounge, packed with seniors...who were have a really great time. This is where the "bring your sense of humor" comes in. This crowd truly enjoyed the piano player and the songs he played...so much so that when he hit Sweet Caroline, the place erupted with women of every age singing, dancing, and visiting each nearby table to implore you to join in. It was a hoot...but if your looking for a quiet fine dining experience, make sure you ask for a table away from the lounge. That being said...the food was terrific. I had the best truffled gnocchi with pork ragu I've ever had. The bruschetta appetizer is enormous. My wedge salad was a treat. The calamari was good...but nothing special. The roasted beet salad got smiles, as did the shrimp & mango salad, the pan seared snapper and filet mignon. Nice wine list, friendly people and attentive service. Go..have fun.

We've eaten 4 times and not great folks. Jambalaya was bland and nothing to talk about. Prime rib was greasy and sinewy. Fish n chips were soggy and terrible. Appetizers are not what we'd expect from Mattisons. Nothing outstanding. Service wasn't good at the bar either and bartender...well she seemed to not care, she couldn't make a decent dirty martini either... and she was very discombobulated.

Haven’t been to the restaurant in awhile but visited it on February 22. My son and daughter in law came for a quick visit and my first choice was Mattisons 41, Didn’t disappoint- great atmosphere, great service and great meal. I’m a hero. Now that Covid is not such an issue I will make more visits. My wife just wishes that the menu include more Italian dishes.

Erlinda was the sweetest waitress I have ever had, I have never had a waitress care so much about her customers the way she did, let alone, the food was out of this world good, not a single bad thing on the menu, I’d give this place 10 stars if i could, and I’m from New Jersey, I would come back to Florida just to come back to Mattisons, it blows every other restaurant out of the water.

Great food and service. Nice outdoor patio and indoor atmosphere. I had the Philly Cheesesteak for lunch and it was very good. Update 2/1/23 - went again for dinner. Brandon, our server was excellent. Calamari was delicious. My Caesar salad was not very flavorful and was a small portion. The French Onion soup was fair. The Shrimp and mango salad was disappointing with how little shrimp and mango were in it and it was mostly greens and was definitely not worth the price.

Food was good. It was pricy though. Not much under 25 dollars.

Brandie was our excellent, personable server. The rack of lamb and grouper piccata were delicious. Highly recommended.

While visiting some friends in the area, they took us to Mattison's for dinner. The service was absolutely amazing and the food was excellent. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Great food and great staff!!! The pot roast reconstructed is my favorite meal. If you are looking for a great meal with great staff then head to Mattisons 41.

The food was exceptional, had the bruschetta, artichokes, and pork belly appetizer to start!!! The Pot Roast Reconstructed was so delicious along with sampling some other family choices, the Bertha Palmer and the Rosemary honey glazed salmon!! Presentation and flavors, 15 out of 10!! The spicy blackberry margarita is also a wonderful twist for those tequila lovers!! The menu choice has a little bit of everything, but not too overwhelming. Having the grandkids in tow at the birthday celebration, they also have a nice children's menu with a word search activity to keep them occupied. For those that haven't been, check out Mattison's on 41, a nicely decorated and spacious restaurant with outside seating weather permitting!! Thanks to our server Sean who definitely catered to all of our needs, certainly a big kudos to the chef!!! And let's not forget Robert the matra-d who's the icing on the cake! Thanks for a woderful evening celebrating papa's bday get together.

presentation and service were Booked a private party for 135 people and closed the restaurant. Food, Staff, Dessert were superb! Accommodating staff and banquet mgr.

I received a 100.00 gift card for my wife and I. There were four of us dining. I purchase the duck which I never had before. What I received was small pieced of duck onder cooked and one leg of duck. The leg was very good. I spoke with server about it and she brought a large red hair woman who told me this is what you get on that order. I stated I ws now happy with it"S appeareance and would drather have a small duck leg like the one first served. she said fine. And huffed away. I have eaten there before and enjoy most everything. This manager needs to be replaced or learn how to help customers. The four of us spent of 240.00. She upset everyone with her attitude. We will not be back till we know she is gone and will tell others of this person. Server was very nice and attentive..

Just had dinner with family and friends here. One of the best experiences we have had. Service was excellent (Shawn was our waiter). Food was great. 10/10 would recommend.

We used Mattison's to carter our Employee Christmas Party and we couldn't have chosen a better company! The food was superb and was beautifully garnished. The servers, bar tenders and chefs were fabulous. They took care of everything - making sure all the guests had anything they needed. We heard over and over from our employees how great the food was! We are using Mattison's to carter our daughters wedding next year and I am so glad we chose them! I already know the wedding will be a success!

The have great menu selections and I love the Artichokes Esther to start my meal. The service is so friendly and the new renovation are amazing!

A wonderful experience in a slow moving luxury restaurant. The waiter was solicitous but not cloying. the food is great, I had the seafood gumbo which was a marvelous fish stew combination of lots of fish, shrimp, shellfish and seafood. Absolutely delicious. Quiet piano entertainment on the night I was there. I'll go again.

My husband and I both ordered the lamb chops which are served on a Greek Salad. We had four chops each, cooked to perfection.

Well, after looking all over for a place that was open on Thanksgiving, I saw a full parking lot here. Was able to get two turkey dinners and sides to go. The food was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend

Had dinner at Mattison's on the river in Bradenton. Food was awesome, lamb was amazing, and the service was outstanding! Crystal was our waitress and did a GREAT job and was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends!!

This location has a fairly old crowd. The service is exceptional with a decent menu and food/drink options.

First visit to Mattisons 41, initial impression of the restaurant was good. However we could not have been less impressed with the food. We chose pork ragu with gnocchi which was obviously not cooked to order since it arrived too quickly after ordering. The appearance was disappointing too, the whole dish was swimming in what looked like canned tomatoes with a few gnocchi and little or no pork - $54 for two bowls of what looked like store bought ready meal pasta. Definitely won’t be visiting again.

The food was mediocre, I had Fish and chips . The Fish part was not amazing but ok. The chips(fries) were greasy and not crispy an not freshly cooked. My wife had the shrimp gumbo and she didn't like it either, she said the shrimp didn't taste fresh. Calamari appetizer was ok though and the desert for 2 was so so . Waste of $100 IMO . Could have gotten better quality food across the street at Culvers honestly. for $25 and no tip! Funny but Paul the owner really dropped the ball on the food quality and preparation. For the way he acts when you meet him I would have expected more. Guess it all an act. However to his credit The restaurant was clean looking and well kept ill give you that but we wont go back.

Disappointed in their new bar menu change. Obviously going for the 'snow bird' clientele. You have lost this local's business. $18. for a burger & then a $1.00 upcharge for cheese??? Really? Not classy, at all!

We enjoyed at wonderful lunch. The service was most excellent and the food was delicious. The ambience is inviting, laid back, and conducive to enjoying the camaraderie of good friends in a warm, welcoming environment. I had a simple lunch of French Onion Soup and an artfully composed side salad. Overall we had a most satisfying meal here and will definitely be back often.

It was a rainy afternoon when my partner and I stopped by Mattison’s 41. We were greeted by Shawn, our server, who was just a joy. From helping Jim into the restaurant, to superb service, it was a memorable afternoon. So professional and friendly and I can’t say more about how we were treated. Check it out and ask for Shawn.

Great atmosphere for a semi-casual sit down meal. Menu was limited, but delicious nonetheless. Rated 4/5 due to the price, but that was my fault for expecting the good food to be cheap.

Had a wonderful Friday evening. Service was great and the food was fantastic. This will definitely be on our list for where to go when we want to be sure of a good night out. PS do not skip the dessert. We had ours put in a to go box because the meal filled us. It made for a pleasant snack later in the evening. Thank you

The food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. Whenever we visit the Siesta Key area, Mattison's Forty One is a favorite place to dine. Our server was Shawn and his Tuesday evening recommendation of the Chef's Pasta Special was right on. Wish we could buy his recipe.

Shrimp poppers were good, bruschetta fair....my cocktail had jalapeño in it which gave it a nice bite, but I really do wish they'd remove the seeds, both because of the additional heat and the "mouth-feel" of all those little seeds .... annoying and excessive

Gave it another chance! We used to have our annual Board meetings here every year. Had a couple very bad experiences. It’s been a while and it was my birthday this week so thought I would give it another chance. Food is usually very good. Unfortunately staff is rude and service is bad. Walked out before dinner was served. It was that bad. First time I have ever done that. Will never be back. Went to Conners. What a difference. Had a wonderful dinner.

We came for dinner 🍽. Shawn, our server, was great. Very attentive. I had the house special fettuccine with fresh veggies and jumbo shrimp. House special soup was beer cheese with red pepper. And for dessert we had blueberry, white chocolate chip bread pudding. My husband had the reconstructed pot roast, house salad. It was all so delicious 😋.

Monday night dinner at Madison’s 41 was a welcomed surprise. We were welcomed at the front door and met with friendly, helpful, and prompt service in a crisp, modern, and comfortable atmosphere. The staff was attentive, our dinners were cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully. The generous servings of dessert and drinks were delicious . To top off the evening, we had the pleasure of Joe Thayer’s exceptional talent at the piano; smoothly and beautifully singing a variety of songs, including some of his originals. What a wonderful way to spend any evening, but a true find for a memorable Monday night!

Wife and I went here for lunch today. We have lived in the area for years and never been there. It was ok but not great. The tenderloin and fries were good but not memorable. Wife's chicken burger was good. I guess we expected better since it's a beautiful place. The lunch menu is pretty limited too. Not sure if we will go back. A little pricey too. Just being honest. Not bad but room for improvement.

My father, stepmother and I visited for dinner. The entire experience was quite impressive from beginning to end and down to the smallest detail. The staff was polite, professional, and considerate. Our server was Linda. She is by far one of the best servers I have had the pleasure of interacting with. The food was outstanding. The Prime Rib was as good or better than the big name high dollar steakhouse chains we all know. The sides were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. In fact, the overall experience was so good that I asked to speak to the manager to share my high satisfaction. I never do that and had never done that. The Manager's name was Mae. She was appreciative of the accolades for the staff and quality. Accordingly, I am sharing this with the public so you may take the opportunity to enjoy your visit as well.

Love, love your restaurant. We come there all the time. Staff are fabulous and food consistently good. But PLEASE PLEASE buy a cappuccino machine! Ladies usually want one at lunchtime. It’s my ONLY criticism….🤗
