My coworkers and i run the low cost spay and neuter clincs at the Mahood fire station. (Asside from seeing everyones fur babies) the highlight of the day is when the entire team stops here for ice cream on the way home. The flavors are delicious and selection is amazing and the staff is always super kind (not to mention patient being that there is at least 6 of us ordering and deciding what we want lol) 100% recommendation from myself and my coworkers!!!!!

the lady who took our order was extremely rude to us. i got a tornado with cheesecake and cookie dough candies. i asked if i could add malt as well and the blonde lady was so annoyed and scoffing at us. “well usually people only get one candy”. okay?? on the menu it says you can add additional candies for a price. there was barely any candy in my tornado and i feel like they did that to spite me. i get the same exact order at kings cone and never had a problem. will not be coming back. i can tell their employees get their customer service skills from the owner by how the owner replies to their reviews. only extremely defensive and non apologetic which comes off incredibly unprofessional. they obviously don’t care about your experience. look elsewhere.

The ice cream is good, but the service lacks. The hours are inconsistent, and they have closed early on occasion with no note on windows or google. Family business doing what they want I suppose.

Best ice cream in Butler county

The very best ice cream in the area. Homemade, creamy, delicious. My favorites vary year to year, but solid 5* flavors that I always come back to are Rocky Mountain Raspberry, Oregon Blackberry Cheesecake, and Heavenly Hash. Good ice coffees too. Coolatte is a special treat. Towards the end of the season, the cookie sundaes and apple dumplings with vanilla are amazing. Support this great small business!

Updating my review from about a year ago, The ice cream here is great, and the people are very friendly. But the wait time is insane. I've gone here a few times this summer and only got ice cream once because of the long wait. One time I waited in line 30 minutes, and there were only four people ahead of me, and only one of them was served by the time I decided to leave. But what really puts the cherry on top for me, is looking at all of the recent comments and reviews with the same complaints, and the owner trying to justify it instead of taking it as legitimate feedback as to how to improve the business.

Expensive as hell...$9 for a Large strawberry milkshake, wasn't the best milkshake I'd ever had unfortunately but you'll have that, was still good

To be fair, I’ve only been to Mazzantis one time, and unfortunately it was my last time. I am all about supporting local small businesses, but when you charge nine dollars for a large milkshake, you’ve lost me and my loyalty. I’m in sales and I understand things like costs, overhead, margin, and labor. I’m guessing a large milkshake costs the business owner less than $2.00 to make, and that may be on the high side. I see no justification to charge $9.00 for a milkshake, and if you want to charge more than any other ice cream vendor within 100 miles it should be one helluva good milkshake worth driving 15 minutes for, not thin and runny. They may have good ice cream, but is it really that much better to justify fleecing your customers. Does anyone remember Brusters when they were open? They had a very short run in Butler because they priced themselves right out of business, and at the rate Mazzantis is going they’ll suffer the same fate. Good luck.

Delicious coffee and ice cream! The espresso float with Caramel Turtle Praline is a must have. And the service was exceptional.

Great ice cream and other stuff, when they properly staff the place. Just left there a few minutes ago (7-9-23) after a 15 minute wait in which literally zero people got served. Would possibly be more profitable for the place to just not open for the day at that pace. Again, stuff is great but not worth what would have been over an hour wait with how many people were in front of us. Will update when they pay for workers.

Outstanding ice cream. I had the chocolate and the butter pecan and it was awesome. They have so many flavors and they have soft server as well. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Will stop again the next time we visit Butler.

We’re never in the area, so we were really looking forward to getting ice cream tonight, but they must have been extremely short staffed. After 20 minutes, only one person ahead of us had ordered & there were at least 15 more people ahead of us. We left & went to King Cones Castle.

Ice cream was good, but Waaaay too expensive.

Their coffee flavored ice cream in a waffle cone is delicious.

Their tornados (another version of the blizzard) is all candy. There is maybe 1/4 cup of actual ice cream in them. I don't know many people would like to eat an entire cup of almost nothing but candy. Paying $12+ for two tornadoes that are just candy is absurd.

This place is great. I bring my family here a few times a month just because the ice cream is so good and the the people are super nice. I can’t understand how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. Really good ice cream, good prices, and good portions. I only wish they were open year round.

This place has it all! Great service and amazing ice cream. There really isn't much more to say other than this friendly little neighborhood ice cream shop has me as a lifetime customer. I live about 5 minutes away and just works out. During my first visit, I mentioned I had a pet dog, and the nice woman was kind enough to hook my boy up with a massive vanilla pup cup. lol. This place is the GOAT.

Stopped for my all-time favorite ice cream. "Bittersweet Symphony" is coffee ice cream with dark chocolate and fudge swirled in. Never disappoints. My husband went for "Butterbeer" his favorite too. Portion size is very generous as well.

Drive-through is a little slow but well worth the wait!! Super-creamy hard icecream generously scooped. We were coming back from a weekend drive (Pittsburgh to Franklin Pa and back) when we decided to give it a try. Really wish it were closer to home. It's just about worth a 90 minute round trip.

I love this place!!! The ice cream is so fabulous and I love the option of the drive through which is so convenient with kids. Try the Butter Beer.. you won't be disappointed

We usually stop here on the way home from our camp up north. The prices are really good and the servings they give you are huge. Ice cream is really good as well. Should definitely stop and try it out if you're in the area.

My husband is addicted to this place thanks to me. I have never had a flavor I haven't loved lol. The hard scoop flavors are insane good and their soft serve is just as good lol don't get me started on the sherbet 💜🔮

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The (I presume) owner made a really nice gesture towards us when we came for my birthday (he didn’t even know until after). This is one of those local businesses everyone should be supporting. Good owners and even better homemade ice-cream.

This place is the REAL DEAL! THE Gelato is authentic is far and away above any other Italian Ice place I've come across. Lines can be excessive sometimes but that just means you are in the right place. Go get some after you read this!

This was my second visit here and I am so sad I never knew about this place the past 32 years. The ice cream here is to absolutely die for. Staff is very friendly and helpful about answering questions. You can park and walk up to the window or they do have a drive through which is super convenient. You must stop here at least once in your life and try their hard ice cream. I believe they have soft serve as well and a myriad of numerous different products that can be made instead of just a cone although let me tell you, their handmade hard ice cream is so good all you need is a spoon to be happy 😁

So so so yummy! I got the butterbeer cone small it tasted just like butterbeer! Prices are decent and the proportions are great size!
