My order took a very long time. I asked an employee how much long it would take and it said that they were very busy, however the restaurant was only 20% full. The portions were amazingly small. I took a picture because I couldn't believe it. I used to eat there regularly and the portions were a substantial size but now only about 25% as much. Don't waist your time or money!

Its McAlister's nothing on their menu that I do not like. Your average deli. Nice and quick service.

Wonderful food! Always impressed. I got the pick 2 soup and sandwich. BBQ Chicken Sandwich and Broccoli and Cheese soup. In my opinion their soup is better than Panera's, way better! The only reason they aren't 5 stars is because I feel like they are a little over priced for the amount of food you get.

My order was missing 3 items. No way I was not going to drive another 30 minutes back and forth in the terrible weather. So I called and asked how they would like to handle this. The answer: 'we can't do anything'. So I asked for a partial refund. Was told I have to wait for the manager to call me in the morning. No call back. Big surprise. Called again 2 days later and was told by the general manager she can't do anything about the missing items. So I asked for a partial refund. She said 'I don't know how to do partial refunds'. So I picked the cheapest item on my order and asked her to comp that item. I just wanted to see even just the smallest effort to correct their error. Then I was told she has 'no way to issue a refund in the store' so she has to send in a request to their IT person. So bottom line, nothing is going to happen. I think the was GM was lying. Because if they make an error on your bill, she has 'no way to issue a refund'? Is that believable? You will have to 'request' a refund via their IT department. Anyone buying that? This is the GM saying this. GMs have full operational authority. Not buying it. Otherwise, how much do they keep because they can't 'issue refunds' ?? Or are we to believe they never make a charging mistake? Bottom line, we're never returning.

Mcalister Deli - The Villages During my recent visit to Mcalister Deli in The Villages, I opted for the "Choose 2" menu option, selecting half of a Savannah Chopped Salad and half of a Harvest Chicken Salad sandwich. The experience was delightful from start to finish. Savannah Chopped Salad The Savannah Chopped Salad was a fresh and vibrant mix. It was a perfect blend of mixed greens, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and roasted chicken. The addition of cranberries and Gorgonzola cheese provided a sweet and tangy contrast, elevating the overall flavor. The salad was topped with crispy tortilla strips, adding a satisfying crunch to each bite. The poppy seed dressing tied everything together beautifully. Harvest Chicken Salad The Harvest Chicken Salad sandwich was equally impressive. It featured tender chunks of chicken mixed with crisp apples, dried cranberries, and pecans, creating a perfect balance of savory and sweet. The mayonnaise-based dressing was creamy yet light, complementing the ingredients without overpowering them. This sandwich was refreshing and satisfying. The ingredients in both dishes were incredibly fresh and delicious. The ambiance of Mcalister Deli was welcoming and comfortable, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or a quick bite with friends.

Love their salads! Fun to eat outside and watch the people stroll by.

The Club Sandwich was delicious! 😋🥪 This was our first visit, and the girl at the register was super helpful with explaining the favorites on their menu. I was especially impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and how quickly we got our food!

Ordered the choose two for us and friends to have. Fantastic sandwiches and salads.

Prices little high but good sandwich

We have been going to this place for years and have been pleased until a recent visit. We like the french dip which is a premium sandwich..imagine our surprise when our sandwich had only one small piece of meat! It was all bread! I guess we will find another lunch deli.

I was expecting more like an old-fashioned deli, and this is not. The food was ok but nothing great.

I'm disappointed to review this location with only 3 stars. I realy wanted to try this place out since it always looks like it has people. I saw the pictures of the French dip sandwich coming in to order. Since this was my first time I figured I would give it a try. VERY disappointed, it was without a doubt nothing like the pictures. The meat was all brown and that only of what was in it. It had about 1/4 of the meat that the picture showed. I will say the ice tea and chicken soup was good and a generous size at that. However, I didn't go there for a drink, I went to have a late lunch. I will say that was my first and last time going.

Rude, MEAN manager. Heard, then saw him berating a very young staff. Towered over her, I thought she was going to break down. If it was someone older they would have slapped him. I hope she files a complaint with the labour board. I am upset with myself that I didn't step in, however this may have got her fired. All of us usually go in a couple times a week, not till he goes.

I usually like McAlister’s because it’s so close to my job and it’s convenient and the food isn’t bad but I specifically have put NO MAYO on my sandwich because I am allergic to egg and my sandwich has mayo. If any workers are reading this, I know being busy can make you want to get orders out faster but you could be making a decision detrimental to someone’s health.

Such a cute location. Prices a little steep but the king club, herb mayo and sweet tea were delicious. Nice cashier too !!!! Bathroom needed a little tlc

The Black Angus Club was delicious! Efficient, friendly staff. The store and bathrooms were immaculate.

I would give it zero stars, but they won’t allow me to. This place is run by a bunch of children. They don’t care about food quality or customer service. The restaurant is dirty disgusting and the bathrooms are worse. I would stay away, no matter what. this is a $14 club sandwich with wilted spring greens absolutely disgusting two thin slices of meat and one piece of bacon lol what a joke when I asked the manager to give me a refund she refused

Wanted a lite lunch and something different from the burger and fries. I enjoyed the soup bowl and a pickle. Check them out sometime soon and see what happens for you.

The Chipotle Chicken and Bacon Spud was delicious and looked amazing, too! It was a nice outing for my work colleagues and me.

The French dip was somehow tasteless yet bitter. It was very unappetizing. Cashier was nice though.

Never disappointed in taste and quality of the food. Service is excellent.

Food was good. Person who took or order had an attitude. I tried to use the app.I had enough point to get a free sandwich. I ordered and he told me to start with that the app,only takes up to 8$ off, instead of an actual free sandwich. Then when he tried to use the app for the deduction it wouldn’t take anything off. He said something but I didn’t understand him. So we paid full price. Then when I got my receipt there was no scanner code on it. All n all not a very good experience.

Visited the McAlisters in the Villages, Florida today with my husband. Food was good, but the most impressive thing we noticed was an employee who was working so hard. Pat Duffy was cleaning tables, serving food, bringing in dishes, refilling drink machines, and never stopped. Pat was the only employee performing these duties. Pat was so impressive I had to thank her for her hard work and write to let you know Pat Duffy is a great employee who works independently. Kudos to Pat.

Have eaten here many times, usually have a good experience with service and food. Yesterday was not what I expected. Met a business associate here for early lunch, about 11:20am. When we entered, there were two couples ordering, one single in front of us. Several more couples came in behind us. One register open, at least 4 other employees moving around the front counter, but made no effort to take anyone’s order. After bout 15 minutes, ordered our food and took a seat. Meals arrived, everything going pretty well, until I bit into what I am assuming was a nasty piece of chicken skin, or fat. Moved it to the side of plate. When waitress came by, gave it to her in the dressing cup, and told her to check on the chicken they were serving, she agreed, and took the item back with her. We finished meals, I gave up on the salad and ate the soup. Thinking someone may have addressed this issue, but after another 10-15 minutes, we finished and left. I know all restaurants seem to be having issues finding staff , but this should have been addressed quickly by management. Another restaurant I can add to my list of places Not to eat.

I will not use this location for catering again. My customer was very unhappy with the food portions and food. They added a large gratuity which I had not agreed to.

Their pecanberry salad is the best!

Kinda disappointed, ordered a club and it came as a single sandwich, when I said something about it not having 3 pieces of bread I was told it was because I changed my bread to rye, so they just slapped another piece of toast on it and called it good, the meat portion was sad I can get a better sandwich at publix for half the price, definitely not a $12.50 sandwich

I can't eat here anymore. The only thing good about this place is their tea except it is pricey. The food tastes like it's just reheated, there's no flavor on anything. I wasn't wanting anything heavy so I got the broccoli cheddar soup one day and it was way too salty and I was disgusted when there was literal hard, burnt pieces in it. It was like they kept the soup at too high of a temperature in the pot and they gave me the hardened parts scraped off the side of a hot pot. It was really gross and I wish I went back and got a refund.

Large sandwiches that are moderately expensive. Probably the best Reubens around. Known for the iced tea and lemon ade

The service was amazing! There was a nice young man name Jadarian and he was very sweet all the workers are very friendly and nice and the food is really good. I get the jalapeño turkey crunch every time and I always enjoy my meal. Always come with friends and always enjoy my time here.

Food was terribly expensive for what you got! Side salad such as a Caesar salad was $4 and change up charge . I opted for potato salad which was goog. I did get the McAllister's club which came out looking like a grade school kid made. Did not look appetizing. Taste was just okay. Staff was very friendly, and meal served promptly.

Got the ultimate nachos and they were delicious!! It was also free tea day and the peach tea was great!!

Food is good but a little pricey for the size of the sandwiches. Don't like the one size drinks for $3.99. They're too big. My wife asked for lemon for her iced tea they charged us $3.99 for lemon wedges. Including tip, two sandwiches and iced tea's lunch was $50.

We ordered 2 roest beef dip sandwiches to go and when we tried to eat them they were so salty we could not eat them. When we complained to the manager today she would not do anything. This was at the Brownwood Paddock store. So very disappointed at her no care customer service. We will never eat there again.

Went for lunch, and where pleasantly surprised. Food was totally delicious! Big portions, nice and hot, Brought out very quickly. Would highly recommend . A little pricey but worth the time.

French Dip was very meaty and delicious. Broccoli Cheddar soup was very thick and cheesy. Enjoyable lunch with mom.

I'm so glad they started serving the carrot cake, again. I'm not sure when they brought it back. Initially, they served the best carrot cake and then they must have switched from where they got it. That did not taste good at all. Then they stopped serving it altogether. Now, it tastes like it did when they first started serving it. It's awesome. My husband brought me a piece for my Birthday. It was so good I wouldn't even share it. Lol

Great french dip, large portions, kids enjoyed the soup and mac n cheese.

All in all, not bad. The only gripe I have is the value or cost versus the food size/flavor. For the same amount of money, I know there are places that are the same or less expensive and offer quality that is better. I love iced tea and so I had several refills at the $4.00 price. The service was pretty good, but busy as it was lunch time. So, given that, I thought the staff did a good job. I’m not sure if all stores are priced the same as I was in a tourist area, where I would expect it to be priced higher. Also, being a vegetarian, I am very limited as to choices. My wife eats meat and she found her needed gluten free options. I only wish they had a bit more choices for me. I asked about removing the chicken from the $13 salad and was told that it would still cost the same whether with or without chicken. So, for the vast majority, you will like it. If you are picky about food or price sensitive, then you may find it not to your liking. One last thing is, I do know that their cookies are good. If you have a sweet tooth, grab one of those.

Always ordered Takeout and always an item missing that I paid for? Ordered macaroni and side order of potatoes salad! Got the potatoes salad, but no macaroni🥸. Macaroni for spouse, so that went bad for me🙈

Good food, good quality. Wish portions were just a little bigger. Good service too!

Sandwich was dried out, like it had been made earlier and was sitting. Meat was dry and edges were like crispy bacon. As a long time customer I remember signs asking you not to tip servers. Now they try to coherse into tipping. Also choosing Mac and cheese as a side is now a $1 upgrade. Overall a disappointing dining experience for me and the group I took there.

Fantastic fresh deli stlye sandwiches and salads. Good sized portions, and nice fast service. Great lunch spot while you are in Brownwood!

Very clean and open concept inside. They have outdoor seating as well. When I went they had daily specials that in retrospect are very good deals. I had the roast beef and cheese, broccoli and drink combo. The sandwich was good. The roast beef was semi rare. So anyone thinking Arby's, it's not like that. The drinks are one size only and it's huge. Total cost was $16.99. Not the best deal in town and why only 4 stars.

Best sweet tea at a chain restaurant

20 min wait but all food was great!!

Found photos of a 2017, a 2020, and yesterday's (March 2023) taco salads. Shrink, shrank, shrunk. Lunch yesterday cost a bit over $20.00 for a taco salad that had 1/3 of the plate covered in chips. Lettuce and other toppings were sparse, minimal, very very disappointing. It's taken sixteen trips to this venue since it opened to learn my lesson- where to go for extremely expensive corn chips with a few shreds of lettuce as garnish...McAlister's!

Weekday lunch was yummy! We both enjoyed the broccoli cheddar soup (hot & flavorful) with half sandwiches (club, piled high!) and BLTA (avocado instead of mayo). Both were delicious. Give this place a try, you'll be glad you did!

I had never eaten at McAlister's Deli in the Villages in Florida before and I was looking forward to it. It was a disappointment. The food was just ok, but the service was terrible. I ordered online and received a message that my order was ready for pickup. Upon arrival, my order was not in the pickup case nor on the pick up counter. It was not even ready, because apparently they had not even made it yet. There was a line out the door and only two employees working the counter. I waited patiently at the pickup counter but was ignored as the two employees were helping everyone in the long line. An employee finally acknowledged me and said they would check on the order. I waited while approximately 30 walk-in customers had placed and received their orders. I was also informed they had run out of mac and cheese and potato salad even though they had already messaged me that my order was ready before I had even arrived. When they brought my order to the pickup counter, I began verifying that my order was correct, and was asked to move by one of the employees, because I was "DELAYING" other people from picking up their orders. I refused to move because: "I HAD ALREADY BEEN WAITING 30 MINUTES FOR AN ORDER THAT I WAS TOLD WAS READY WHEN OBVIOUSLY IT WAS NOT, BECAUSE THEY HAD RUN OUT OF THE MAC AND CHEESE, AND I HAD TO SUBSTITUE SOMETHING I DID NOT REALLY WANT INSTEAD OF THEM DISCOUNTING MY ORDER." Why does McAlister's even offer online ordering with ready pickup if they are not going to fulfill their service? This must be a recurring problem at this McAlister's because another customer who had ordered online had the same complaints. Where was the manager? McAlister's is a deli. I did not think it was possible to screw up a deli until my experience at this McAlister's. I will never eat at McAlister's again. I suggest McAlister's Corporate send their managers and employee's to the deli at Publix to educate themselves on how to conduct a business.

First thing the baked potatoes weren't even ready half hour after they opened. Then we waited 20 minutes and only ordered 2 sandwiches. After 20 minutes I went up to the counter and asked the cashier where our food was. The manager came over and asked if we were being helped and I told her the issue. She talked to the other cashier and then continued what she was doing with no response. The cashier that took our order said it was coming up now. The manager brought it to us and it was ice cold. The cheese had been melted at one point but then just sitting there under no heat lamps and got ice cold and she served it to us. We ate a few bites and asked for boxes to go because the food was served cold and would heat it up at home and eat it. Just gave us the boxes with no response. It was our first and last time there. $35 for 2 sandwiches after 20 minutes and they were cold.

I absolutely love the food here. I have never gotten anything bad and I can't complain about the quality or the service. They are extremely a bit pricey. My husband and I each had a half a sandwich and soup with a drink and it was $30. A little pricey for soup salad and sandwiches but definitely good food.

Bad services ok food. We ordered a Jalepno Turkey cruch sandwich. We were told 10 after we sat down that thy ran out of Jalepno cheese. They just opened. Wth...the restaurants in Clermont Fl don't care anymore. 3rd restaurant we have went too not caring or out of food.

SLOW service; had to go to counter when I saw our food just sitting there while other orders were serviced. I've been disappointed the last two times I've been here (missing item with last takeout order). Food is still good but on the expensive side for this type of restaurant.

Expensive for a soso sandwich. Softdrinks are over 3 bucks. You can buy a beer for less. Staff was friendly enough.

Baked potatoes are amazing. The tortilla soup was so good. I was surprised. They serve it with tortilla cups on the side which was great for dipping. Service seemed a little slow. Maybe just an off day. It was my first time so I really don't know.

Let me start off by saying the place was clean and the staff was friendly. The food on the other hand not so much. I ordered the veggie sandwich it didn't come with "their own house roasted bell peppers". And my husband got the angus roast beef spud which had 5 small bites of roast beef. I know times are hard but at the price of these item we should get what we pay for. Will not be back!

The worst catering experience I have ever had. Will never trust them again. They made a mistake on sending me a receipt that was wrong and then charged me $120 more without warning due to their mistake. Never use them.

Service is very good BUT food served less than warm (French Dip), plus an upcharge on everything, even the you pick 2 menu. Not worth the money. 4 french dips + 4 drinks 67.00 at a deli. Won't happen again. The gals that worked there are sweet gals so I gave them the star.

Had the grilled cheese, apparently you're not allowed to have cheese in the sandwich. Restaurant needed to have some attention when it came to cleaning floors.

I had half of a New Yorker sandwich and a cup of chicken and dumplings soup and both were excellent. A little spendy but worth it. Will go back.

I wanted a Reuben. I won't go back. The place does not have a clue about how to prepare a Reuben.

My husband and I went for the first time yesterday, always looked busy so we decided to try. We walked in and realized you go to the counter and order like McDonald's. I ordered the brisket dip and my husband ordered the rueben. We have had this many times before elsewhere. Reuben was nothing like he had before. Bread not grilled, meat and cheese cold didn't even look like a rueben, my sandwich was mediocre at best we ate less than half and left the rest. Only good thing I have to say is the guy at the register was very nice and knowledgeable. I don't recommend going. If you want a great rueben or a French dip go to toojays
