It's not McCray's; new restaurant selling BBQ and my first experience will most likely be my last. My sandwich bread was kind of soggy on one side, so I turned it over and put the meat on the other slice and found a hair right in the middle of the soggy piece of bread.

Food was delicious. The family meal was definitely enough, with plenleft over.

Looks like McCray BBQ has shut down. 😐 I have passed by a few times ⏲️ and no one was there. I don't know if they have lost their business 🤔 or not.

The man at the order window was very friendly. The two BBQ sauces I had were excellent. The conch salad was fresh and delicious. The potato salad and mac & cheese were okay, but the collard greens were so salty I couldn’t eat them (and I’m not usually sensitive to salt). They only offer St. Louis-style ribs, which were difficult to eat around the fat and cartilage—a really weird cut. It’s a shame because they were smoked nicely. I’d rather pay a couple of bucks more for baby back ribs. Overall, I’d recommend this place; it seems to be as good as you can get in Florida.

Over priced, poor customer service & def not worth the hype! Been shut down more than once for covid!

Terrible service and long waits

The BBQ is amazing and they made catering my event so easy! The staff is great to work with and the quality of the food outstanding. I received many compliments and asks of who catered the bbq. I will definitely use this company for future events and for dinner for the family!

Food is GREAT ALONG WITH SERVICE FROM HIS EMPLOYEES

I was visiting family from outside the area and decided to try out this location due to the reviews. I called in my order, however; when I showed up, I was told they didn't have fish or the dessert I ordered online. I was asked if I wanted to substitute but I declined due to food preference. I was told I could go back to the ordering website Toast Takeout to get a refund but that did not occur. I attempted to call for refund but went to voice-mail until it was completely full. Issue is unresolved!

Sooo idk if McCray's closed down or what, but it's ridiculous that my husband and I come all the way from royal palm beach after checking google to see the menu so we would know what we wanted, just to pull up and the place is closed. I checked Google again to make sure I wasn't tripping and that they were open. It was 3pm we went and sure enough I wasn't tripping. Google said they were open. Smh nothing worse than having your appetite set on something thinking you bout to eat good just for you to be disappointed. Damn mccrays use to be boomimg too smh.

3pm on a Friday and they aren't open. Just close the business at this point

Not the same cold dry ribs little good for the price never again lol

I've tried several times but this is the last. After waiting in line for 15 minutes I finally received my food and as we drive away I start eating and my food is cold. Ribs were previously done and were not warmed up enough before taking them off the grill I suppose. So disappointed and wish I would have chosen something else, I could have gotten a store bought Sub for much less if I wanted a cold dinner.

Ordered the Sunday meal and it was horrible if I could give it no stars I would’ve. It was more like I ordered left overs from Wednesday!!!! The chicken was so dry I could barely swallow it!!! Mac and cheese felt like it was made from left overs no flavor! I won’t return…ever!

Super dry ribs felt like cardboard paper but the sauce is really good

Worst BBQ I've ever had. Ribs were dry and not even cut by the rib. Bones were xhopped down the middle. Mac and cheese had no cheese on it. It was greasy noodles. They were out of greens so I got baked beans and I think all they did was open a can and warm them up. Way over priced for what I got. Won't be back ever! Only option is to walk up and order and sit outside.

They got a man wearing full makeup serving and taking orders. I have no problem or anything against the LGBQ community. However I witnessed this individual go to the restroom and not wash his hands then run to go receive and place orders. Eat at your own risk. That is extremely disgusting. Then has an attitude when he tells me there is no chicken on a Friday night. Thank you

Over 10 years ago, I remember President Obama visited when McCrays was just a smoker on the side of the road. Today was my 1st try, and I was a little underwhelmed 😬... I was aaight... not great but not bad either. The staff however... 10/10

The food is ok but they should try to offer an inside dining place

I placed an order online. Drove 25 mins to get here. Received the text that my order was ready ! Just for me to arrive and this lady walks out with an attitude! Saying we are only taking catering orders so i cant help you! Then i say well I’ve already spent my money and why are u still accepting online orders IF your closed? She said well I don’t know how to set it up online when im closed! And walked off.. i have had to fight with the bank to get my money back because guess what on the online order app it shows my order is ready and i did not pick it up! These people are scammers and now i see why it took them 15 years to get a building cuz they are BAD BUSINESS!!!!

This is hyped up as seen on TV food. Small portions for the price point ( similar dishes for same price point at IHOP i.e. Fish and fries though this place offers snapper but 1 small filet.). Also, when you charge extra for sauces that do not have bespoke ingredients: you are chasing the pot of gold or struggling. It’s a one time taste experience stop. There are soul food and fish fry places on route 1 that offer similar food with more zeal and passion.

Went there yesterday and I don't like the changes they made with the food or pricing! The ribs still taste good but my bread wasn't toasted..my sides were miniscule and quite frankly no longer worth how much they're charging for it! Very disappointed!

The service as in acknowledgement to the customer at the window is great. I would've given a higher grade but as a driver for picking up orders and deliver I've had to call my customers so far three times to ask if they would like to change their order cause you guys were out of what they ordered and subsequently end up losing the order so that's the only reason why the low grade but other than that you deserve higher.

Food was just as good as I remember from the belvedere food truck Walmart location, I was greeted with the nicest person Ms berry so nice and sweet, and she even offered me a sweet tea, I will definitely be back to this location. Having nice people with great attitudes goes a long way🥰

While staying in west palm beach I was looking for something local & black owned & this BBQ spot I found in my search & it wasn’t too far from my hotel. Google said it closed at 10pm, caught a LYFT there around 8:30/9 & it was already closed so i definitely was annoyed about that. Came back few days later earlier in the day to try again. Because the food look so good in the pictures on line, I was so determined to try it out. So I thought we could go in & sit down but that day seemed only drive-thru or walk up window. The service was nice & friendly. I ordered pork ribs (with their house made Hot BBQ sauce on the side), bbq baked beans & Mac n cheese ! Everything tasted so good & was worth the wait. Next time I’m in west palm beach I would definitely come back.

I want to McCray's Backyard Barbecue and got ripped off for my money how old are the brisket dinner but I ended up with a pot roast dinner they're trying to pass a pot roast off for brisket dinner I paid $30 for a pot roast dinner

My husband is a backyard weekend Bar-B-Q'er, and if this is what people are calling "World Famos" then we need to go in business. I know everyone has their own opinion and their opinion on BBQ as well, but man' come on. Put them smokers to use. Let the smoke roll, instead of using a gas grill. I just hate that we wasted $45 on LUNCH!!!

Worst barbecue place in West Palm Beach. I ordered conch & fries and got five pieces of conch and about eight french fries. Also order pigeon, peas, and rice and mac & cheese , I got more pigeon peas then rice , Mac and cheese was dry , conch was tough, not tender. No flavor at all my husband order a rib dinner that suppose to be 6 Pieces of Rib he got three ribs cut in half pigeon, peas and rice very small. It was inside a side container. And we where over charged for our order I give this place 0 stars , they take no pride in their food the way it taste the way. I was very disappointed with what I got will never go back there to support McCrays BBQ again., they should just close the whole restaurant down it was very disappointing

The food was alright but kinda cold. They didn't have any white meet chicken so a half chicken plate was 2 drum sticks and a thigh. The Mac and cheese was good though. The large tea was a bit pricey at $4.

They should be ashamed of serving this kind of food. Rib was super hard and chewy. One of the worst ribs I've had in my life. And they served stale dried bread. Never ordering from here.

Fish meal, How is this worth $19 portion size for the size are small enough to fill a 5 year-old. at best meal is worth 12.99, not $19

Friendly staff , excellent service, excellent food, you can smell that excellent BBQ in the air, makes your mouth water walking up to place your order, might of not mention it yet , EXCELLENT PLACE, go on up there and check it out.

Been twice and was disappointed both times, but I will try a third time and hope for the best. I have a feeling this place can be really good if I apply some finesse to my strategy. I want their shrimp dinner but the two times I ordered it, it was unavailable. The chicken and ribs were fine, they have a good flavor and the sauces are very nice, but grilled BBQ tastes best when it’s really hot and both the chicken and the ribs have been lukewarm. I hope I can figure out how to order at a time of day when they have shrimp, because I got my hopes up twice already. The macaroni and cheese is awesome imo and the star of the show. The small sweet potato pie is also amazing - buttery and sweet, perfect warmed up with a little cream on top and some milk. If you get a combo, the portions are very very small. I would say the portions are almost like sample size so the second time, I ordered a side of large Mac and cheese. It’s the only thing I really, really wanted (pregnancy craving) but somehow I still got stuck with the small portion. So I’m pretty disappointed. I also haven’t had a chance to taste the collard greens. I’m just a little disappointed because I feel like they put whatever they had in my bag, which was kind of a good intention, but at the end of the day, it’s not what I wanted at all. I wanted a simple order: fried shrimp, large mac and large collard greens. I ended up with two orders of ribs, a tiny mac and a tiny potato salad and tons of bread. I will try again but I’ll go in person next time instead of a ordering through Uber because it’s a huge disappointment to look in the bag and have completely wrong order that takes a really long time to arrive (especially when you’re pregnant).

Extremely disorganized with no emphasis on customer service or efficency. The number on the website is disconnected so you cannot call ahead to place an order. I sat in a drive-through for 35 minutes AFRER placing my order only for the food to STILL not be ready by the time I got out of my car to walk up to the window. A total of 45 minutes of my lunch hour wasted. I can’t tell you what the food is like because I never got it. I try to support black business and more often than not I’m left disappointed and underwhelmed You guys really need to do better. This is absolutely unacceptable.

McCray’s what is going on? I love your food! This review I’m giving you is in hope of solving this problem. The problem: DRIVE THROUGH COMMUNICATION. EXAMPLE: I pull up to the drive through, on several occasion’s, The individual working the drive through doesn’t communicate what is not available for order instead, they tell you one moment. Sometimes that one moment is one minute, and sometimes that moment has been more than 5 minutes. Tonight I have had it. That moment was 8 minutes long. After 8 minutes we’re up, I was made aware that you guy’s had no fried food at all tonight. HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. 1st. Welcome to McCrays “list what’s not available today/tonight.” Makes it easy for you and us. 2nd. See #1

Food was average. Prices are on a tv screen and somehow they “can’t update them” to reflect a large difference that you are not told about. $48/pound brisket is the most expensive I have ever seen, especially when it’s only “decent.” I am quite certain there was not half a pound of meat in the box as it is. Will absolutely not return. Mac and cheese and collards were the best part of the meal (and I would eat again if I were to return-which I won’t).

Review is on service waited in the drive thru call box for about 8/10 mins keep hearing give me one sec please at least 5 times. I never eat here before but was excited to try since my office is now close by. On my lunch break so couldn't keep wait. Very disappointing 😞

I ordered a barbecue chicken dinner thinking it was the same as the pictures on the website but unfortunately the quantity was very small for a half a chicken dinner I asked for double Mac n cheese thinking the white styrofoam was going to be the quantity’s instead it was a very small container that sauce would come in And to top it off they forgot the barbecue sauce on the side it had flavor and was old and dry it was 8:45pm I think they should jus said we have No chicken For 16$ and a drive from Port Saint Lucie I’m goin back to the 13$ spot witch looks like a 22$ plate major quantity.

Staff were all very friendly. Food took a bit longer than expected. They were out of brisket and cracked conch. I got the fried snapper with collard greens. The food was great. The greens were seasoned perfectly. The lime cream sauce with the fish was amazing. I will be back to try the brisket or conch on another day.

1st time eating here BBQ was excellent. Ribs were fall of the bone and the sauce was very tasty. Team was very helpful and attentive. Definitely recommended. Only have outside seating. Fans and TV. very clean.

They only have a drive through and outdoor seating. The menu is impressive to say the least. The sauces are diverse and tasty. They sell out of some normal items quickly due to the demand. Definitely worth the price and time to get the food. Would recommend if you’re looking for barbecue and seafood.

They serve us 2 dinners and a chicken. Much dry could barely chew it.

Went to McCray’s and I had an issue. I just happened to see the owner and I spoke to him and he apologized and got me right. I must applaud him for that. No business is perfect and when you have people working for you they can mess up and cause you to lose customers but the owner fixed the issue right away.

I paid $18+ for a rib dinner that consisted if 4 small ribs and tester containers of mac& cheese and collards... very disappointing

The food has changed or they have a new cook. I use to love their barbecue and the baked beans. I ordered a rib dinner and it was dry and like I was eating wood. There was more bones than meat & more like lil tips of ribs. The baked beans had no flavor which is not how they used to taste. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich and it was okay. Definitely, saddened by this especially with the cost.

Only had 1 bbq sauce in ribs. Some were lean and some were not.

Didn't care for the mac and cheese or the collard greens but the ribs and the sauce I chose was great and also the pink lemonade

Food was not good at all . Meat wasn't seasoned, bread was wet and soggy, French fries weren't even cooked. And watch out for sitting outside millions of flies all over everything and continues flying on your food, drinks and tables. I kept hearing about this place and how good it was back in the day so we decided to try it for lunch. They open at 11 got there at 1130 so you'd think everything would be fresh. It tasted like yesterday's food . It definitely smells alot better than it tastes. I really couldn't see myself going back. The only thing I liked was the sauces but yet if you want extra sauce they charge and I feel if I'm paying 30$ + for 2 small plates I should get some extra sauce . We'll we came, tried and it didn't live up to the hype.

Nothing fancy but excellent food and service.

Being World famous I was excited to try it for the first time. It was nothing to write home about. Cole slaw had no taste at all. Fries were way undercooked and the ribs had a drizzle of sauce they were very dry. For what I paid I was expecting something better. Disappointed in this BBQ

I ordered a PORK BBQ and Dr. Pepper. What I got was Turkey (I think) and something that tasted almost like a Coke but not quite. 1st and only trip.

Every time I purchase ribs, I never get bread. At the time I was there other people had problems as well. Slowly but surely weening away from here. Also you need to ask for center cut instead of chopped up bones that can easily cut your mouth. Sometimes you may get center cut if you tell them then Sometimes you don't. O before 1 STAR.

4-8-23 He's not even giving u a pound! It's 448 in a pound. I paid 21.80 for a little over half a pound. Could someone please come to our rescue. This guy is robbing our community. 1he was selling bones , now he's just cheating us. Again, RIDICULOUS! 7/17/2020 I was charged $15 for 10 rib tips. That was cold. Could someone please open another place spot or side the road rib stand.. Please this man is REDICULAS!! And the food is not exactly that great or good. I went back 2x to complain about the same thing. And still got unflavored, unseasoned, yesterday meat. He will never be his Dad!! And he doesn't clean his meat properly!!! Like he just throws it on the grill!!! I wish I could show this picture of the film that covers the meat before u cook it. You're supposed to clean and peal it off, some people leave it. But that's apart of cleaning or preparing ribs before u cook them. Not to mention sale!!!

Im all about supporting independent establishments but, if you're thinking about eating here move on and save your self the disappointment, had a chicken dinner $16 they gave me the smallest pieces of chicken I have ever seen in my life, literally pieces of breast and thigh not the whole pieces it was also dry and shriveled and they must be using baby chickens it was just so small!!, the bread was also cold, on a positive note the flavor of the bbq was decent and so was the collard greens. I felt a little taken advantage of here sorry to say but I won't bother to try again.

I used to eat at Mccrays when they were on Old Dixie Hwy in Riviera Beach. Then moved to Broadway next to the bank. The love Mr. McCray poured into the food made it soul food. I was not happy to see staff warming food up in the microwave right in front of me. Ribs were not great. I remember Mr. McCray scrumptious rice and peas… not sure what has happened but it’s not the same. At least be discreet about warming up food…

No indoor dining, minimal outdoor room also. Great flavour palette.

Stopped in after checking out the Pollo Tropical and Wendys to the west of here and found them Dirty. Should have gone there as after trying to eat their so called ribs,(more like crispy bacon wrapped in fat.I was sitting on the toilet with Diarrhea and vomiting spells. Should have known better when our order was served in a 2'x2' garbage bag cold slaw was good.I might have just unlucky but to say the least we will not be back

Got a fish dinner with 2 sides. My side of rice and peas was put in a sauce container.... literally 3 spoons worth. Same as my sauce cup worth of potatoes salad. Fish was mediocre, but better than the disrespectful size offered.

How do you advertise Ribs on a me u and no ribs. I saw staff put food in the microwave. Only thing is fresh is fried foods. BBQ Chicken nor sides were fresh. I saw a large aluminum pan of baked beans and Mac sitting on a warmer and an employee scooped some out for the togo container and placed in a microwave. Why have it in a warmer if you have to microwave it. Unacceptable

I heard a lot about this place and was excited to try it. The ribs and the barbecue sauce was good and my fries were nicely seasoned. I thought the portion sizes for the sides were kind of small and my mom’s chicken was half done. The sweet potato pie was very good.

The sauce is the only thing to look forward to the ribs I was given had little to no meat and where mostly fat the sides are big enough for ONE spoonful tbh probably one of the better options in west palm Beach very disappointed overall
