⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an incredible experience we had at Meehan’s Irish Pub & Seafood House in Saint Augustine! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff, making us feel right at home. After a long day of exploring the charming streets of downtown, we were craving a cold beer, and Meehan’s did not disappoint. The atmosphere was inviting, with a perfect blend of traditional Irish charm and waterfront views. Now, let’s talk about the food! I absolutely loved the clam chowder soup—it was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor! Although I’m not a fan of oysters, my family raved about them, so I guess they are great! If you’re looking for a place to eat, drink, and be merry, Meehan’s is a must-visit!

Great Irish pub with awesome grub...oh and beer!

Great food. It was packed and it was loud so we fit right in. Finally met some fantastic bartenders that know how to pour a good stout and we could see the ocean where we sat. We ate oysters (3 dozen) and a couple Reuben rolls. The oysters were fresh and they offered everything to go with them like horseradish, hot sauce, crackers, and cocktail sauce. We had a couple hiccups with the service because it was so busy but they still tried their best. Still 5 stars.

My husband, daughter, and I tried out this AMAZING restaurant for the first time yesterday. My daughter and I now have a new favorite restaurant! Definitely sit upstairs if you can. They even have outside if it isn’t a million degrees outside. Atmosphere was great. We did have to wait a little bit for a table. There is a bar upstairs and downstairs you can wait at. Our only complaint would be our waiter. He seemed to take care of the table next to us, who was seated after ours, even taking their order first and filling their drinks without caring about us. It seemed to us that he sized us up for not having a lot of money, therefore we were a waste of his time. Food on the other hand, was worth the wait. My daughter and I got mussel and clam dishes with linguine and my husband got a French dip. All was amazing and delicious! Keep in mind there isn’t a parking around the restaurant, therefore you’ll have to find either a paid parking lot or the parking garage. But if you’re staying at any one of the B&B’s in historic district, it’s walking distance. Check out Unique Finds of Florida Facebook group where this restaurant was featured!

What an amazing time we had!! Our server Micheal was so friendly and knew everything about the menu! We met with the manager Sam who was so helpful and also knowledgeable about the restaurant and staff!! If you are ever in St Augustine this is a must go destination!!!

Top Notch quality food, the staff was perfect, atmosphere was tranquil looking out over the water, and the management blew me away! The manager, Sam, was so hands on, and attentive with every aspect of the Restaurant. Delivering food, drinks, and table touching. She was so present… which is so crucial with both staff and customers. Phenomenal job!!! Michelle, our server, and was simply amazing! From initially accommodating my service dog to offering food options from her knowledge of the menu, just made me feel amazing! The kindness she offered, poured over our entire dining experience. The host was so kind and kind nvitingband wanted to make sure we sat where we were happy! I am leaving here a VERY HAPPY LADY… and I will put this at the top of my list of places to eat when I travel back to St. Augustine! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!

The place was beautiful. We sat upstairs on the balcony and enjoyed a great view of the harbor. I had meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans, and my spouse had chicken wings. The service was really good too. We'll definitely go back.

So many places to choose from in St Augustine. Glad we chose Meehan's. Food was great. Got the cabbage soup, corned beef rolls, mussels and fish and chips. Evrlerything was delicious. Drinks were good too.

THIS place RULES! I remember the food was slamming BUT I was already drunk by the time it came….because they have created the MOST delicious version of Irish cream I’ve ever had! Meehans Irish cream is the best thing YOU’ll ever have as well. I was floored and then I was on the floor! Haha! I was begging them to sell me a gallon of this stuff to make the BEST boozy ice cream of all time. But of course…they don’t do that!!! 👀🥹🥹🥹 Absolutely crushed Bailey’s or Amarula if you’re familiar. Truly. I’m going back there just for that. Although their Conch Balls were FIYA! Hey Meehans…when you get your act together contact me. I want to make that ice cream!!!

Third time visiting and we love it! The beers are great and the food is excellent. Walker helped me find the perfect beer for me. The food came out fast and it was perfect! Will be back again soon!

Excellent burger great server good view no rushing u out will go back again

On vacation. We had been there four times. Service was great until the last visit. The last night we went, there was a young blonde bartender on the second floor who chose to wait on everyone at the bar besides us. (Yes, there was a younger crowd who she was friends with). She waited on people who were there WAY after us then proceeded to yell at us when we asked for service. We told the manager. He offered us "shots" and said she didn't mean to be rude. Yet she had someone else wait on us instead of apologies? The manager was very nice but obviously trying to be politically correct. I didn't want anything extra but an apology by the bartender, which would have spoke volumes. If she wasn't trying to be rude, why did someone else wait on us? The whole situation could have been handled differently. This place is on my "Never Again" list.

Great location, awesome food, good drinks! Good prices for the location! The outside terrace/bar area is nice to relax after a walk through the old town. Quite a few draft beer options to choose from. Also, dog friendly, which is a big plus for us paw parents!

Some of the best food at the. At the most reasonable pieces in st Augustine. A solid selection of inport beers and Irish whiskeys punch this place up to the next level. After walking in 90° heat for hours , Walked in ( obviously hot n tired) the greeter asked inside or out , I said ( joking like) obviously inside then he asked Booth or table, I didn't hear what he said.So he for some reason took offense...Then he rudely asked again talking to me like a parent scolding a child. Should of turned back after that. Waiter was ok, not overly friendly but efficient enough. Food overpriced, 75$ for 4 people drinking water. Shepherds pie was good, fish n chips good as well. Burgers average not an 18$ hamburger. Visited on a hot day with heat advisory and it wasn't cool inside. Not a place I'm returning to.

First time visting the area and this was the best place to dine .i had fhe swordfish burger and parm fries so delicous .manger was fantastic and if your lucky enougj to have our outgoing refreshing kind helpful waitress kylie your blessed .Her warm welcome and smile and outstanding service qill make your day ...tell her the two aussie girls she served yeterday say hi

This place was fantastic! Great service and great food! Prices in the area in general are high because of the location, but this places delivered an exceptional quality for the price! I can't imagine any other restaurant in this area beating them in that category! The corned beef and cabbage was the freshest and most delicious one ever had! We ate on the outside patio by the bar and it was the perfect environment for dinner with the family.

Meehan’s is always a go-to place when you’re staying in St. Augustine. The food is excellent and the staff are incredible. Because Meehan’s is one of the more popular joints in St. Augustine, it can get fairly crowded. Similarly, finding parking close by can also prove difficult depending on how busy downtown is. Prices are fairly reasonable for a place like this, not too expensive but not cheap either though you do get a good bite for what you pay for. Overall, one of my favorite spots in St Augustine and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

The Right seats of the bar outside are not leveled up with the code standards. Service 😱 please get another restaurant manger, them staffs look miserable. My fries were cold fried in dirty oil too my roast beef tasted spoiled for the French dip one. Terrible service all around!

Pros: The server was extremely nice. Awesome service here. Drinks and food came out fast. Cons: The table we sat at was right by a slamming door. We asked to be seated inside because it was really humid and hot that night. Since we were right by the door, the AC stood no chance. We were hot, and the table was so sticky. The soda was extremely flat. It tasted like a bottled soda that was left open all night. I had high expectations for the Shephards Pie & Corned Beef & Cabbage because, well, it's an Irish Pub. Nope. The presentation of the Shephards pie was pretty, but the taste and texture were horrible. The meat was minced to the pont that you couldn't tell if it was meat or potatoes. The corned beef was tender but completely flavorless. The cabbage was clearly boiled in water and nothing else. No salt, broth, or anything. We ended up returning everything. The manager didn't come to talk to us. Meh. We were offered to try something different, but I was worried that I wouldn't like it, and it would be more wasted food.

Good solid pub for St. Augustine. In the center of a touristy area, it's a nice place to grab a burger and a drink or two. Good beer and mixed drink selection!

First thing first, Cris was absolutely amazing! I have never been to a place where they treat you as though you are family. Service was great and so was the food. My son and I had the shepherds pie and my husband had a French panini. Everything was flavorful and exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend them!!!

Our server was amazing and the Caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had. That’s saying a lot, because I’ve had many Caesar salads as a salad lover! Our server Brett was excellent, kudos to him! The prices were just right here and the portions were perfect. Also, the drinks are very tasty and they don’t skimp on alcohol on the mixed drinks like other local spots!

AMAZING FOOD, INCREDIBLE ATMOSPHERE

We were relieved to find somewhere open at close to 9 pm on a Sunday night after getting to town late. We sat down right away and our drink order was taken within a few minutes. The server was very responsive to my wife being pregnant and fixed her up with a mocktail. I had bangers and mash, my wife had a burger and fries. My dinner was delicious and hers was not bad at all. We would definitely come back here and try other items off the menu.

Absolutely great service and phenomenal food - especially if you want very fresh seafood. Will definitely go back for more.

This is a restaurant, Irish Pub, only. Every trip to St. Augustine we stop by. Inside and outside sitting. Good food and cold beer.

The food was delicious and the beer was cold! Our server was really nice and appropriately attentive. I love the area that it's in. There are a lot of shops nearby. And also, next to the water inlet, if you want a great view of boats coming in and out.

An excellent lunch spot with friends. Local oysters were delicious. They created a perfect Black Velvet, draft Guinness & cider. The fresh catch Swordfish was grilled and prepared well. The breezy seating on the balcony had beautiful view of the water. Highly recommend!

It was great food, priced reasonably, and had Amazing views. We sat out on the balcony and it was a wonderful place to have dinner. She had the Salmon which was a 10 out of 10. I had the Shepherds pie which was good. The coffees with Irish Creme were a 10 out of 10 as well. It is definitely a solid choice to stop in and have great food with friendly people ❤️💯🇺🇸

I don’t have much to say about the rooms but I can speak for the rest. Service was good but it wasn’t great. There’s a difference between having a table to serve and owning your table. Our waitress was nice nonetheless. The food was incredibly good and the famous Irish creme was the best one I’ve ever had. 10/10 would come again. Even For the view alone it’s totally worth it

Stopped by on a Wednesday around noon. Our group had bangers and mash, reuben rolls, and a cheeseburger. The food was delicious. Came out fresh, hot, smelled divine. Also had a kilkinny irish cream beer, to cool off with. Our server was super nice!

Waitress was kind of rude. The server that brought out our meal spilled half of the au jus on the sandwich. Fries were cold. Will not return.

Review is based on the restaurant and nothing additional at this location. Walked right in off the main thoroughfare and were seated with a partial view of the waterway. Ordered fish and chips, along with bangers and mash. Both items were delicious. The fries were a bit soft and undercooked tasting for my liking. Service was friendly and attentive. Would return when in the area.

Good standard Irish. Well, if something is not perfect Guinness is. I had Meehan meatloaf was good, Shepard pie was so, so. Guinness was great and view. I recommend.

Worst bar ever, my friends and I were pub hopping for a wedding party. I was DD, when my friend (who was getting married the next day) tried to enter the bar they refused service, when he asked why, he got sucker punched in the face by the bouncer for no reason, they proceeded to punch his dad who came up to ask what was going on and pushed his sister who had just had surgery on her ankle. It was so stupid, they didn’t answer any questions just started swinging like it was no ones business. Worst bouncers ever!!! The cops came and said it was no fault! Ridiculous!!! They should be held accountable for their terrible actions! I demand these bouncers be fired, tattoo arms short(night of May 26th 2024) Terrible place! Never go here if you want to have a good time, I wish I could give zero stars or negative stars.

Wanna get physically assaulted? Look no further. We were bar hopping for a bachelor party and my friend was denied entry, when he asked why the bouncer punched him in the face. His dad also came up to see what was going on and was also punched in the face. ON TOP OF THAT this man pushed his sister, who just had ankle surgery, TO THE GROUND. You need better training, and to hold this bouncer accountable for his actions towards a group on people that are nonviolent and just looking to have a good time. Do better.

Terrible place. If you want to be assaulted by untrained bouncers, whos only option is just punching people come here! If you want to have your night ruined by a pub then this is your place to be. Terrible service, overpriced and bouncers who de-escalation tactic is to surprise punch you in the face without any verbal warning. Owners wont even respond back with apologies or a stance on the action that was taken. Unbelievably unprofessional.

We went to Irish Pub corned beef and cabbage was not the best corned beef and cabbage if that I have had I think the Cabbage was not cooked enough very little cabbage would not go back again it's not happy place was overpriced for what they're giving you think twice before going yes they do not give veterans any percent off when I asked about it they said you have to be in uniform to get veterans rate which does not make sense who's going to go out to the beach in uniforms that is one reason I will not go back they do not cater to veterans

First off I have to thank Milltop for ignoring us so that we had the chance to have the best version of the evening that we could! Brett was our server and was very swift and personable. We sat outside and enjoyed humorous banter with a nearby table while watching the boats and carriages go by. The dishes were amazing. The atmosphere immediately melted the fatigue of the day away. Im all About trying different places to eat but after the dinner (as well as lunch the next day) Im not sure we will eat anywhere else! This was last weekend and overall we had the french dip, buffalo oysters, raw oysters, fish and chips, and a wonderful blackened fish sandwich that I cannot recall the name of. We also tried the in house made Irish creme. Ty for the guest services that you provide and we cannot wait to travel there again!

They have a beautiful view and a nice staff. My only complaint is that if you're not getting a speciality, the food doesn't blow you away. The grilled chicken sandwich was a bit soggy and the burger was a burger. The fries were great, though! And they had good beer and cocktails.

We had the best clam chowder for lunch. Creamy texture,perfect amount of potatoes and clams. Server and atmosphere was fantastic. Definitely a great place to try some fantastic food.

After reading reviews and scrolling through pictures, my husband and I decided we would give this place a try. I am so glad we did! The service was excellent and the views were amazing. The food, though, was the real star! We ordered the fried buffalo oysters as an appetizer and they were incredible. I would have loved to bottle up their homemade buffalo sauce and take it with me back home. My husband tried a seafood stew and I got their burger. Both of our entrees were delicious and the burger was cooked perfectly. I was impressed with the whole experience and would return if ever back in the area.

Looking for a bowl of clam chowder after closing the shop. Most food places in the historic St George Street district close at 9pm. Meehan's closes at 10pm on the weekdays. Whenever I walk by it's always busy; I decided to stop in. Immediately we were served with a smile from Bryce. I ordered a bowl of $7 clam chowder and a hurricane. I wanted ginger beer to add to my hurricane - Bryce obliged. The clam chowder was served hot within 5 minutes, Brian did a good job. I'm giving 4 stars because the clam chowder is too salty. Aside from that it was very good. The hurricane was PERFECT! However, ever more so - the service was 10 STAR! I enjoyed all the patio fans and outdoor seating. I recommend Meehan's (aka Tropical Cafe or another name - couldn't see any Meehan's branding on the menu and drink cups - I actually had to ask for the venue name.) REASONS TO VISIT: 1. Reasonable Prices 2. Good Drinks 3. Excellent Service 4. Outdoor patio / bar

Enjoyed a delightful dinner at Meehan’s on May 9. The hostess greeted me politely and lead me to the table of my choice. I sat on the lower level with a view of the river. Unbeknownst to the hostess, she happened to seat me at my favorite table. Ordered a dozen raw oysters, which were delicious, and the Reuben rolls. Frankly, I order these items whenever we visit Meehan’s, and they are always superb. The oysters were fresh, tasty, succulent and (this is important) shucked well. As for the Reuben rolls, outstanding! The Kerrygold cheese was, quite simply, the “icing on the cake”. Please excuse the culinary mixed metaphor! My server, Brandon, was attentive and ensured dinner ran smoothly. He was a delight. There are many choices in St. Aug. Meehan’s exceeds expectations every time.

Got there and there was no hostess us and 3 other party’s all walked in and waited in the crowded lounge while servers walked right past us. Someone eventually told us to seat ourselves upstairs. We walked up to be told we had to wait to be seated and to go back we explained that there was no hostess and someone told us to go up. Well we’re standing there and a couple asks to move to the table we’re about to be seated at so she seats us at their table which is the worst table. Was staring at a wall the whole time. Then our server comes up and he is very polite we order and after a while the food comes it was very good. Then after 45 minutes when we’ve both obviously been finished for a while he comes back to ask us for drinks. I asked for the check and he said he would be right back. 20 minutes go by and I start to get aggravated because we’re getting close to the parking limit and we wanted to walk around some. 10 more minutes goes by and I asked another server to bring us the check. I walked in to see our server sitting flirting with girls at the bar which was aggravating because we had asked for the check now 30 minutes ago. Needless to say he did not get a very good tip and probably would not be back.
