I am appreciate this restaurant. The food is great, however, what I like to highlight is something I experienced as a veteran. On veteran's day, Miquel's offers anything on the menu, not just a limited menu, not just multiple courses, but also the waitress outright refused to accept a tip (on a side note, a bartender for another restaurant, which I will randomly refer to as MappleTees, explained they not only pick cheaper dishes but also dishes that encourage a thirst). Great food, great service, and great place.

Super nice hostess and server. Very educated on what was and wasn't gluten free. Chicken fajitas (gf option) have a chimichurri sauce on them that gives them a smoky flavor, definitely different. TONS of food. They offer GF chips (they make and fry in separate fryer- super delicious!)

Excellent food, vegan options. My husband loved his sizzling fajitas. Great service too - our waitress was friendly and attentive. Solid selection of hot sauces on the table. Also, they have blueberry habanero hot sauce which was surprisingly pretty good!

Good Mexican! The menu makes great accommodations for paleo and gluten free options. They even have a GF fryer for GF corn chips +++!

They have 3 AC chargers here (6kW), so they helped us a lot by letting us charge on our way👍🏻⚡️.

My husband and I stayed at Bangor Inn & Suites and walked down the hill to Miguel’s for dinner. We sat in the bar area and the bartender/server was excellent. He was attentive and fun and explained all the specials happening. The food was delicious and the atmosphere allowed for conversation without being stuffy.

I really wanted to like Miguel’s. The food was just okay. The waitress brought us a basket of crumbs for chips. We should have said something but the salsa for dipping wasn’t anything special so we didn’t. Absolutely no heat to the salsa or any of the food; I expected some spiciness at a Mexican restaurant. The Spanish rice and the black beans were good. There were four of us there to celebrate a birthday but the quality of the food put a damper on the occasion.

We thought we would give Miguel's a try so we stopped in for lunch on Friday. They had Margaritas on special for $5 and fajitas on special for $20, so that's what we had. We ordered the beef fajitas and got five good sized pieces of skirt steak, plenty for five fajitas, along with plenty of grilled veggies, rice, refried beans, pico de hallo, etc. The margaritas were very good. We were surprised that we were able to choose between Cuervo and Hornitos. We chose Hornitos of course. Disappointed that they don't offer flan for dessert.

Well prepared. Meals looked artful. Staff was cheerful and polite. Tuesday $2 tacos.

OK Mexican food, and satisfied our needs. Slow service surprised us, but not our waiter's fault. We thought that just before 6pm would be snappy, but DoorDash orders pushed us down the queue. Handy to our motel (Country Inn at the Mall). Our booth was near the bar, which was pretty loud even at 6pm.

Never had mexican food that tasted Italian place was nice service was good but the food was far from what you would expect won't be returning

It was ok, beans tasted like canned, and the rice tasted similar to rice a roti. Carne was good, the tortilla was too dry and broke durning meal. You need to use white corn tortilla steam them and double up .

Four of us dined here while passing through Bangor. We lucked in, it was Taco Tuesday!! The tacos were delicious and the beer was cold. A very enjoyable meal at a reasonable price.

Foid and drinks just ok. Restaurant needs a good cleaning.

I was a frequent customer until yesterday when I found two toothpicks in my food and when I mentioned it kindly to the waitress, I was offered no apology nor did the manager come over to apologize. I did not expect to have to have anything deducted from my bill, however I did expect to have the manager come over and acknowledge the mistake. I will no longer refer people to this restaurant nor will I be eating there again.

I've never eaten here, but when they fire an employee the next day after missing a shift due to a family emergency, when it's the only time they've ever missed work, they aren't a good company. Lack of understanding, lack of empathy. Not worth giving them my money. .

All the food here is amazing as is the staff and atmosphere. Consistently 10/10 on all levels! If you’re in Maine and are looking for the best restaurant, look no further. Miguel’s exceeds my expectations each time I go in. What more can you ask for!?! I highly recommend 5 stars without question ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I went here for Taco Tuesday. Price is great ($2 taco chicken or beef). The waitress was great! She checked on us several times, made sure we had drinks and refills, and kept the chips and salsa coming. The tacos had great flavor and came with salsa and sour cream. The fried ice cream is amazing as well. The environment was pleasant, kind of the typical American/Mexican decor. Has a small bar area where people were gathered for after work drinks. I deducted one star for the greeter. We walked in and was greeted by a young man that you could just tell he did not want to be there. He did not smile and instantly acted put out that he had to seat us. That is my only complaint.

Great food and great decor at Miguel's! In a sea of chain restaurants and fast food by the Bangor shopping district, Miguel's provides and authentic and independent dining experience for the discerning Mainer or tourist. Grab a zesty enchilada, packed burrito, or a sweet Margherita and enjoy your evening.

The food was very surprising. I have gluten and dairy allergy and our waitress was fantastic!!! She know her stuff and there were a ton of options. Then when the food came there was so much food I actually brought some home. I don't remember the last time I brought leftovers home. Highly recommend. Only thing was our kids nacho was large but plain. Would have expected more of a cheese sauce. It was mostly chips.

Have dined at plenty of Mexican restaurants in maine and this one was by far the bottom of the barrel. If anyone has eaten at any other Mexican restaurants there is no way they would go back to Miguel's. First off, the street corn,,, boiled can of corn from Walmart. Please Miguel's look up the proper way to make that. Go to Mexico more than once every two months. Next what is up with your spotty spices? Again, no consistency. I could go on but now I'm eaten at better establishment.

We were visiting Bangor for spring break and looked for a Mexican restaurant for our last night there - the decor was cute and atmosphere was great but the food was so over salted it was difficult to eat and left a bad taste in your mouth. We did not complain, we just ate our food and went back to the hotel to pack up leave. We were highly disappointed but were not planning to leave a review - just call it bad day and move on - however this morning I saw they took it upon themselves to change the tip amount to give them an extra $10 tip for bad food. So not only did we have a horrible last meal now we paid an extra $10 tip for extremely over salted mediocre mexican food.

I just had real authentic Mexican this year in Florida. Was excited to discover Miguel's. Absolutely the best restaurant in Bangor as far as this redneck is concerned. 😁🤤

Please stop wasting your time going to any other Mexican cuisine place in Bangor. This is THE spot to go. Great specials, friendly staff, moderately priced menu! Food is plentiful and exceptionally good 🤤 plus the margs are delightful! Salsa and chips with the table is ACTUALLY salsa and so dang good. Can't wait to go back!!

Very disappointed in Miguel's to the point that I will not go back. Ordered the Cali burrito and it was full of potatoes that tasted like they were leftovers from the day before. I have never had a burrito with potatoes in it at any Mexican restaurant! My meal was also cold and when I asked the waitresses if it was supposed to be served that way she didn't know. The manager did come to the table and said yes it was supposed to be cold because there was quacamole in it, and they only heated the chicken. What about the rice? It was cold! He did take $10.00 off the check after my friend complained her meal had potatoes as well and she asked not to have them. Obviously the waitress ignored her request or the cooks don't read the tickets.

When visiting Maine, we ate at Miguel's; It was awesome. The service and food were top-notch. We even spoke to one of the owners, and he couldn't have been nicer. This is a must-stop if you're craving Mexican food in Bangor.

I have driven by this place more times than I can count. I don't know why I didn't eat here sooner. The food was amazing, and the waiter did a wonderful job. I went with my 3 picky teen girls who devoured their plates. I will definitely return again. Especially on a night I am just too tired to cook and I need a place all 3 of my pick teens will eat. Thank you, Miguel's, and your wonderful staff.

First, if you're from California or the Southwest, adjust your expectations. That said, this seems like a great spot if you're craving Mexican in central Maine. The service was great and the specials were excellent value. We were there on $10 burrito and half off margarita pitcher night. I had the birria burrito which was super flavorful. They have a decent number of vegetarian options, too and my partner said her vegan chorizo burrito was delicious. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying some more of the menu.

It’s a beautiful restaurant with exotic decorations inside that give a beach vibe. I ordered a wet burrito and it was average quality so was the salsa that came with the chips. It was just tomatoes and onions in a cute little dish. The fries tastes good. The wifi does not work.

Excellent meet and great...Fast service 15 minute ticket time..Now to the food.. i lived in EL PASO TEXAS AND MEXICO and this food was bland.. The pico no flavor add some chopped cilantro and lil lime juice and jalopenos kick it up a bit..NO MACHACA OMG....NO SABANA BOTH ARE THE best MEXICAN DISHES..Lard is in the refried beans ....The tortillas were not fresh like they should be .. How can u not have a tortilla oven and make them perfect ????...The meat wasnt seasoned well at all..The cook needs to go to Texas and work to know how to cook mexican if a customer is paying $17 for tacos yet served below average pico and tortillas hard to return..

In town for a couple nights and wanted some Mexican food Wow glad I stopped here. It was a bit early for dinner but I was hungry, so there was no wait. The chips and salsa was average. The drinks were cold and favorable I had the fish tacos, unlike must places, they let you build your taco at the table so you can see that the fish looked really fresh and all the condiments were just as fresh The slaw was sweet just the way it should be, The corn was a bit picky and flavored perfect All in all a great place to eat

Passed through Bangor with my mom and we stopped here for lunch. My mom is gluten-free so we were happy to hear about the separate fryer they have dedicated to the gluten-free food items. Everything was SO delicious and fresh! Our waitress was kind, patient and helpful with the menu. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again.
