Love Minnie's! Come every time we visit the island. Food is awesome, great portion sizes. I feel for the staff with the crazy renovations on the outside of the buildings. It makes parking and waiting a challenge. They handle it gracefully.

If u ain't coming here for breakfest something is wrong. Food amazing. Service 10 stars. Will be back for sure

My family and I visited AMI this past weekend and were having one of those "serenity now" moments while searching for a breakfast spot. As soon as we sat down, I saw the slogan on the back of our waitress's shirt and knew we were in the right place! The food, the atmosphere, and everything about this diner were fantastic. As Jerry said, “There's nothing finer than being in your diner! “

Love this local spot. The sand dollar sandwich is our favorite. Some others love the blueberry pancakes. Even when they’re on a wait, it’s worth it. Also, ATM right next door. They do take out as well which is a great option when you’re on vacation w a large group

It's a cash only place so make sure you have it. ATM next door in a gym. Once settled in it was a great breakfast!

Quaint little cafe with amazingly friendly staff and good food. We ate biscuits and gravy, grits, eggs and toast, omelets and blueberry pancakes with fruit. Everything was hot, fresh and good.

We arrived at Minnie’s around 7:45M and we were able to get a table with no problem. The two lovely ladies that served us were very nice and our breakfast was delicious!! The place is a little small so arrive early if you don’t want to wait for a table. We will definitely be back!

Awesome food and atmosphere, staff on it

Had to sit at the counter. No food 30 minutes after ordered, had to ask for coffee refill. After an hour still no food. Asked waitress about our order and it wasn't even back with the cook! We left and will never back!!!

The food was amazing. The wait was a little long and it was a little warm inside. The waitresses were very nice!

The food was pretty good, but a bit expensive. So to me, the value wasn’t great. Cash only, and the environment was average. The staff was kind, though.

We just had an excellent breakfast at Minnie’s! This is our 3rd year vacationing on the island and I’m so sad that we just discovered this gem! It has that old school home town restaurant feel that makes you right at home. My husband and daughter both got The Big Easy because they couldn’t decide. They thought everything was great and my husband said his hash browns were some of the best he had ever had. I got a half order of French toast. I’m usually a pancake girl but decided to try the toast because of the Challah bread. Oh my goodness it was so good and perfectly cooked but what really put it over the top was the homemade whipped cream that our waitress suggested. It was amazing!! Our waitress Tammy was so friendly we just loved her. It’s been mentioned before but do be prepared because they only take cash. Not sure why some people take issue with this because it is very clearly posted right on the front door, it’s not like they surprise you with that information when they bring the bill. We will definitely be back.

We added this to our list of great breakfast spots this morning! We’ve been coming to the island for 15+ years and somehow missed this hidden gem. I’m hesitant to say too much lest others find out and crowd us out! The food was great; portions were beyond generous, and service was kind and quick. We’ll definitely be back.

Great breakfast! The vegetable omelette and fruit boat were so good. The fruit was all so fresh.

Did not enjoy the food. The potatoes seemed old and reheated several times. Unfortunately none of us enjoyed it and we would not return.

Do not eat here. Although the food was good, the service was not. First of all they don’t have a hostess to seat you and when you try to walk in and find a table you get scorned from the wait staff and told to go back outside and put your name on a list and they will call you when a table is ready even though they also have a sign out front that says “come in and find open table.” The tables are on top of one another and when I tried to move the table by a few inches so I wasn’t hitting the chair of the man behind me I was told firmly by same waitress that I could not move the table at all. It’s another rule apparently. Only two waitresses for about 10 tables total but still had to ask for syrup for pancakes and another to go box for left overs because it was so small and never got offered a tea refill. Witnessed an older couple come in and seat themselves and then got scolded by same waitress for not putting name on the list and where told they may have to get up as same waitress went out to check the list only to come back in and tell elderly couple they where fine to stay seated. After 20 minutes of no one taking their order I saw same elderly man get up and go tell same waitress that they have not been waited on. She told him someone would be right over and as he walked away she began talking about him to the other waitress and to another customer sitting at the bar, basically complaining about same elderly man. When my husband complained about the service at the end of the meal we were told that they are short staffed. Then same waitress went back to the counter and began to talk about us to the other waitress and we could hear them loud and clear. We won’t be back. And they wonder why places are shutting down in the area. It’s not because people won’t work. It’s because those of us that come for vacation expect better. So do better.

Arrive with a big appetite, the portions are huge!

Smaller classic breakfast diner located in one of the Holmes Beach strip shop/businesses near 52nd and Gulf Drive. Have found the service and food quality to vary considerably on different visits. Menu features typical breakfast fare. Note: Cash Only and try to avoid having to use the restroom!

Be prepared to wait. Took long to get our order taken. Took almost 30 minutes to get our breakfast. Food was very good, but the wait was too long. Tried Minnie's last year and had same experience. Decided to give it one more. Same result.

The waitress' were very helpful & accomodating for our large group with 5 kids. The food was reasonably priced & good-sized portions! The seating was a little cramped, but we knew going in that it was going to be a tight fit since the place was described as a "nook" in the description I read beforehand. Also, it seems like most places on the island are kind of tight fits anyways!

Sorry to hear about your health department issues. But that many Cockroaches is inexcusable

The best! Great service and huge portions. I had two pancakes with two eggs and couldn’t finish. Friendly staff, quick service and a quaint atmosphere. The biscuits are the size of a side plate! We would definitely recommend this little spot!

Had the BIG MESS... Best breakfast I ever had. To put it over the top, I add their homemade hot sauce. (Which I bought 2 bottles).

Minnie's is simply the best breakfast and lunch spot on AMI so don't miss out going here. Great home made food served by superb ladies who are friendly and helpful. This is one of those little places from a bygone Era. Today we had their Veggie Omelets served with home fries and toast and an extra Pancake. They were bursting with fresh vegetables and plenty of homemade home fries. The Pancake is the size of a dinner plate so able to share. Fresh coffee is always topped up regularly. Cash place so remember to bring it. Enjoy

Looking for a big and delicious breakfast place on AMI? You've come to right place! Bring cash and your appetite because you'll need both here. Our fast and friendly server recommend their Breakfast Quesadilla special for me, and it did NOT disappoint! Packed with scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, peppers and onions, it was all I could handle but handle it I did. My wife had one of their famous fluffy (and massive) omlettes with crispy hash browns and wheat toast. It looked like a mountain of awesomeness, and she confirmed as much! We were fortunate that there was no line to today, but it would have been easily worth a 30-60 minute wait. Highly recommend this AMI gem!

This is not a fancy place. Or is an old school diner and it is fantastic. The biscuits are huge and wonderful, hash browns delicious, eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, get it all! If you’re a hot sauce kind of person make sure you use some house made hot sauce too!

I don't like lukewarm food and wasn't cooked to the way I asked. Won't be back. My husband ordered milk with his food and didn't get till he was almost done.

Always very rude when we went there . They treated us like we are outsiders , little did they know that we actually live here and would have given them plenty of business. Never again . One of the sisters raised her voice at me for no reason because she wasn’t having a good day. That’s as not my problem. We tried this place 3 x and she’s been rude each time . Food is good but unfortunately she is not a nice person.

The waffles are delicious, and the fresh whipped cream couldn't be a better accompaniment! The server was friendly and attentive. If you can get in, it is well worth the visit.

A cute little out of the way cafe. Amazing for lunch we had muffins, a bagel and drinks. Coffee was tremendously fantastic.

Firstly we were shocked to find out when we walked in they only accept cash. We ordered a waffle breakfast that came with bacon and two eggs. The waffle was over cooked and had no flavor at all. The syrup was in an unmarked bottle so who knows what it was. The coffee was weak. I would not recommend you go for breakfast. Rather if you can’t find a good place to go I would suggest going to Publix to buy cereal or yogurt. You would be much better off!!

Unfortunately we did not enjoy the food at all. The potatoes especially seemed old and reheated.

Great little spot for breakfast and lunch. They close at 12:45, and take cash only. Food was large portions and tasty. Very " hometown diner" feel.

We walked in and the place smelled old. I was willing to look beyond that because I was hungry and the reviews had been good. My husband and I sat at the bar and waited for 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us - it never happened. People came in after us and were waited on as we sat there. The one waitress was literally eating behind the counter 1’ from us as we waited to eat. The other waitress never even made eye contact. It was not busy so I am not sure what the problem was - don’t go there the service stinks. I would give it zero stars but the review does not allow it.

A must breakfast visit while saying near Holmes Beach. They get busy and don't take reservations so be prepared to wait and the wait is outside on the side walk or in your car! The restaurant is very small so the turn over can take a while when waiting. The service is very friendly and the food is delicious! The omelets and French Toast are what we ordered and were delicious. I got a side of homemade hash browns on the side and they were very good! They do have lunch menus and offer take out for both breakfast and lunch. I would return.

Get here early because they only have about 10 tables but the monster omlette was good and they only take cash.

Small quaint Cafe. Only 9 tables and 4 seats at bar. Outside tables too. The food is amazing. Huge portions. Fresh fresh fresh. Homemade Their biscuits are very large. If you’re a biscuits and gravy fan order just one - very filling. Sandwiches made with Boar’s head. They have lunch as well. All looks great - but we’ve only been for breakfast

One of our favorite Breakfast places...(Don't get me wrong....EVERYTHING is good , fresh & HOMEMADE...you don't find many of these kind of places anymore! You can also stop in for Lunch or a carryout for the beach. We love the food but the people of Minnie's Beach Café are the reason we keep coming back!! Shoutout to Tammy !!

This small diner is fabulous. It’s a little place in a strip of shops but don’t let that deter you. Only about eight tables (and a few counter seats) and they are a cash-only establishment. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. If you leave hungry it’s your own doing. You can tell the biscuits are hand rolled and the sausage gravy is genuine. A real menu full of comfort food. We went for breakfast but they stay open for lunch until 2pm. Love this place and will definitely return in our next visit to the island.

Waited a long time for a table just to be treated rudely by the waitress. Got 100% better service at Dunkin.

One of the greatest cafes you could ever come to. All the food is spectacular. The portions are large enough to satisfy any appetite. The staff is incredible and you'll feel like you're eating at your grandma's kitchen. They made one of my very favorite dishes of all time here. Hawaiian fried rice with a couple of over easy eggs on top just absolutely blew my mind.

Good “ma and pa” food. TINY dining area (which means it’s also loud), so get there early and maybe reconsider for those with hearing or sensory challenges. Can’t say we’d return, but met our early riser needs. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Busy place - clearly poplar. Huge portions of nicely cooked food. The Biscuits and Gravy delicious - omelette their speciality. Wish they had cappuccino but a small thing considering everything else was so good.

Absolutely fantastic no frills breakfast experience. Our server, Tammy, was awesome and incredibly attentive to both the adults and the kids at the table. They have a great range of classic breakfast fare and it can be ordered however best suits you. I’d go every morning if I could.

Wirklich wie erträumt. Ein kleiner ordentlicher Raum, mit ein paar blau-weiß karierten Tischdecken. Die Karte klassisch, Eier, Cakes etc. Geschmissen der Laden von Minnie, für die alle Honey sind und die mitreißend fröhlich und freundlich ist. Eigentlich vor allem Locals hier, wirklich so schön.

We visited Minnie’s on a whim and we were not disappointed. The eggs were cooked perfect. The hash browns and bacon were crispy as requested and the atmosphere was quiet and quaint. The prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly. The best breakfast on the island in the last 5 days.

The wait for a group of 5 wasn't too bad (~10 min) to be seated. But oh my gosh we were not prepared for the best pancakes of our life (SO light and fluffy) and the best crab cakes I've ever tasted (and I don't usually like crab cakes). Even their sausage was better than your typical breakfast place. I adorned my breakfast with these very cool looking hot sauces they have on the tables (turns out someone local makes them from peppers in her garden). We had to buy one of each hot sauce after we tried them. Not to mention that the owner is one of the kindest people I've ever met. I can't believe a beach cafe made me believe in humanity again, but it did, and I'm not exaggerating. You must try it if you're in town! If not for the food, for the wonderful people that are hard to come by in this day and age. Cheers Minnie's Beach Cafe, from Massachusetts. I chose Minnie's Beach Cafe for my breakfast on Anna Maria Island. Centrally located, this non-frills place was extremely friendly and served great food at fair prices. I sat at the community table, as every other table was taken, along with some other folks from just off the island. Nice conversation and recommendations. It's a cash only establishment, so important to note. Not a problem. My server was super-friendly and accommodating and made my time there a great experience. As I checked out, whoever it was that took the cash was equally as nice. I highly recommend Minnie's...and when I return to the island, I'm going back! You should too!

Really excellent breakfast, coffee, and tea. Turkey omelette and home fries were amazing, and my sister loved her pumpkin pancakes. Cash only but worth the trouble!

Minnie's is absolutely wonderful. I am off Facebook, but my husband and I will be going back to Minnie's around Christmas when we go down to pick oranges. Bruce and I will only be there for a few days, but look forward to seeing Mary, Kathy, and Kaylee. Such wonderful people!!!!!

AMI-AZINGGG. First time here. Minnie’s staff was was quick to get me seated as well as get my amazing breakfast out to me The staff seem to be family, as they were all equally helpful. Lots of locals in here, always a good sign. Kaylee and Denise are the little cuties that took care of me. Would go hang/chat with them and eat that delicious breakfast daily if I could.

OMG!!! Buttermilk Pancakes are 11 inch diameter and 1 inch thick! Taste Perfect. Largest Pancakes in my 74 yrs!!! Long Time Beach Icon. Always Feel Comfortable & Happy Here!

The food and the staff were amazing! The biscuits were awesome and massive, the omelets were very good as well. The servers were very friendly. They took time to talk to us when they could and really made you feel like you’re at home.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ⚠️ Waited an hour and a half on food for it to be hard and cold. The home fries tasted like they had sat out for hours. We didn’t even eat our food and they didn’t make us pay. Waitress were extremely rude and it was 86 degrees inside with a mini air conditioner. Everyone was complaining about how hot it was.

I really wanted to love this cute lil beach cafe. Looks like a charming place. It’s hard to get seated but we were lucky. It’s difficult to get drinks, food ordered and food delivered but in the end my husband’s breakfast quesadilla won us over! I had the pancakes and they were great. You need to be on Island time and not let the wait get to you.

We didn’t notice the wait list sign in sheet outside and were spoken to a little rudely. We went back out and signed in, in spite of the multiple empty tables. We were seated after a few minutes, and from there on got great service. This was easily the best tasting food we got on Anna Maria. My daughter’s fruit bowl was a work of art, the coffee was good, my boyfriend got an amazing, overstuffed veggie omelet, and I had a first corn beef hash that was delicious and not dried out. When we asked for hot sauce, the response was which brand? I chose Texas Pete and know they also had Tabasco. I was too shocked to ask for more choices. This will definitely be a return place for us in the future.

This place was fairly good, with kind service. The coffee was very strong and bold. I got their big fat fruit boat, which was true to its name! Fresh, mixed fruit! It was one of the best breakfast places we ate at this week on our trip. Amazing!

We returned after 22 years and to our delight very little has changed. Friendly, efficient service, great choices and good value. Minnie’s omelette was the best. Thank you Dawn and team. Perfect.

Just an FYI before traveling to this dive, this restaurant only accepts cash.

Absolutely not worth the wait. After waiting 45 mins and still not being called they chose to take a larger party who had missed being called multiple times which included an actual phone call to their cell. So instead of taking the people who waiting there in line listening for their name to be called they decided to screw everyone else in line by taking a party that was late because they didn’t bother waiting like the rest of the people wanting in the restaurant.

This is a small cafe and the service was somewhat slow, but the breakfast was good. We got the traditional breakfast of eggs, toast, bacon and grits.
