Literally the best place for breakfast in Daytona!! The atmosphere, food, and service all top notch!! I’ve been coming to Daytona for years and just now found this place. It will be my breakfast go to from here on out when I visit from Tennessee!

We ate there yesterday and the staff was great! They were super friendly and don’t know a stranger. Food was great and we are headed back there this morning!

My husband and I visited Monkey Morning earlier today. What a wonderful experience! The food was SO delicious and our waitress, which happens to be one of the owners, was so sweet and attentive. Her husband was SO kind. He came out and checked on the customers and interacted with them. We totally enjoyed it so much, we plan on going back tomorrow. I would encourage anyone to give this place a try. It was great!! It just goes to show, you don't have to be a big name restaurant to have BIG flavors!! Thank you for the memories!!

Food is HOT, FAST AND GOOD! We live in Florida now and this place by far has the best gravy. Seems like nobody else can get any flavor but the NAILED IT! Also the owners are very hospitable!

Very humorous staff, very helpful with the menu selection. The homemade iced tea is recommended. The menus are freshly prepared and very tasty. If you want to have a cheap and tasty breakfast or meal, you should definitely come to Monkey Morning Cafe!

Our SCRC 545 riding club went for breakfast. There were 16 of us. The food was amazing. We had a great time with the staff and owners. What an amazing place. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

I had the Monkey Cristo and it was great. The grits were good. My wife had corned beef hash, eggs and hash browns. All done to perfecting and her biscuit was delicious. I would definitely recommend a breakfast here when you are in the area. Staff was super friendly and came over and talked to us and asked where we were from. Great group, felt like we were part of the family.

This is long overdue but Russel Cook was the highlight of my time at Monkey Morning! He sat right down and even allowed me to take his picture. He was fantastic! The food and atmosphere was such a delight. Worth the drive over for the American vibe🇺🇸

Great community breakfast joint. Serves was attentive and even the owner works the dining room. We did find that they will be moving the location over winter and will be closer to the shore. Strongly suggest giving yourself an hour to eat as they are a local favorite.

Excellent service and food. Portions are very fulfilling. My wife and I love there. So sad they they are moving. They are literally in our back yard. But we will still visit them. It’s only a 10 min drive. Keep up the great work Mark and Jerry

Family owned cafes are usually hit or miss and I have to say this was a hit!!! Such friendly people & great atmosphere!

Our family ate here for breakfast. It was great! Hubby and I had the eggs Benedict with the chunk potatoes. Super yummy!!!! Kids were happy as well. Staff was super friendly

I am visiting the area and I came here, without a doubt you have to come, it is spectacular, they make you feel like part of the family, I recommend them 💯, it is fantastic and the customer service is wonderful. I would definitely return again

The place is ran by a husband and wife combo, between the jokes,atmosphere and the food you have the perfect combo for an amazing breakfast, if you're a local or just here for vacation you have to stop in.

I’m the type that like to read the reviews so that’s why I decided to come here. I saw all these 5 stars how great this place is… it’s not. They are nice and it has some very good biscuits & gravy but the customer service is horrible!! They gave us the wrong food and half of my family didn’t get theirs! The people beside us came in when we did & maybe no one saw them but they didn’t even get their orders taken in and waited 2 hours & they probably got upset waiting & left. Maybe I’d come back when it’s not busy because clearly a full house; it’s chaos! You must be insane. Who doesn’t call in ahead of time? Maybe people who go visit!? I’m not local I went to visit. And what’s it to you if my family didn’t speak English? All our orders were WRONG! Of course the client isn’t right all the time but in this I am right. Own up to it. My husband didn’t even get his food at all!? I suggest people not to go to your place at all because if this is the way you response wow disgusting. I have a company of my own as well and I do not responde to my clients like this.

Would love to say this review is for the food but we never received our food or even our drinks. This was our first time in, it wasn’t very busy and a couple tables left after we arrived. We waited for about 5 minutes to be acknowledged by staff before we went up to the counter asking if we ordered there instead. We were told someone would take our order shortly. To their credit, someone did come and take our order and then who I presume to be owner came over and apologized for the wait. After more waiting for our drinks and food we noticed tables closer to the cash register were getting refills/checked in on and new customers were sat down and their drinks were ordered and swiftly provided to them. We noticed staff behind the counter chatting with each other and just hanging out while we were still waiting for our drinks. We finally decided to leave. Mind you this was an hour and half before they closed and we were one of three other tables in there. Never going back. Before the owners respond to this review with some rude, snarky comment as they have the other reviews, reflect on yourself and your business and do better.

Didn’t even get to taste the food unfortunately. Waited a while after being sat and had to grab someone to be acknowledged. Then owner apologized which was nice, seems like a good guy. But that’s where the pleasantries end. Never got our drinks despite the place being almost empty when we came in, and the owners and staff were just chatting and eating and drinking up front. Fine people have needs, but then other tables came in and got attention and drinks right away and the owner even sat with them. Then other people were coming in but were told to leave because they were “closed” despite it being like 12 and them closing at 2. First time ever leaving a restaurant and most likely won’t be back.

My wrap had maybe one or 2 very small eggs and a ton of burnt bacon. Mediocre for $18 breakfast a wrap and coffee

You're looking for a great place for breakfast and probably some other stuff too, this is for you. Don't let the outside fool you, everything in here tastes great that I could see. It's quite a bit of sports stuff and the whole place is monkey themed. I'm definitely hitting this place up again next time I'm in Daytona. If you like breakfast specifically country style breakfast, you have to make it here. I would have taken pictures but it was also good I just started digging in. I'll let you in on a little secret you can get your extra biscuit covered in gravy.

My family and I were trying to find a place for breakfast and we stopped into Monkey Morning Cafe, I’m so glad we did! Our server Charlie was amazing! She was very nice and attentive to us. The owner Steve was phenomenal! He checked in on our table multiple times to make sure we were doing ok! This place is really great the atmosphere is fun and friendly!

The syrup was off the staff was nice the potato’s was hard. And it would be nice if I had a juicy brioche bun

Service and food were excellent. Everyone was friendly. Steve, the owner, sat down and chatted with us, and made sure everything was good. Highly recommend this place, and the Monkey Omelette!

This was the BEST breakfast I’ve had in Daytona Beach! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The service was awesome, the food was amazing, and the decor was super cool. Very casual, homey diner and the owners made us feel like family! Next time you’re in Daytona Beach area, definitely check out Morning Monkey Cafe!

Wish I could give this place a million stars, we had the most incredible experience and if you’re in the area, it’s a MUST! The staff treats you like family, and the owner is there with such a positive attitude that lights up the room! I would have posted pictures of the food but we ate it all so fast I didn’t have time. We got blueberry pancakes, the monkey bowl, and the country breakfast and all were the best breakfast we’ve had ever! You can tell it’s cooked with so much love. My 3 month son was so cozy in the place he even fell asleep right in my lap. Oh and the music playlist is also amazing! They let us know they will be relocating down the street soon, and we made sure to tell them we will be back no matter where they are! GO HERE if you’re in the area! Beautiful food, restaurant, and people. ♥️💙

Great customer service here and the food was very good. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were poached PERFECTLY. My son had the fried fish platter and my husband enjoyed their biscuits and gravy.

This place was hot. Their air was broken, and that had an effect on our overall experience. The food was ok, the service was great. I think we would have enjoyed it more had it not been so hot.

Let's start with the amazing and warm greeting, talk about welcoming.. Service was spectacular and the food what can I tell you. Florentine Benedict was perfect and Texas French Toast where amazing.

This southern girl knows her way around a biscuit. When I tell you this place has the best biscuit ever, please believe it! A week later and I still miss it so much, I could cry!

Wasn’t sure where to go to eat around here because I I’m not from this area, but I’m so glad I stopped. The food is absolutely wonderful, and it’s a peaceful and clean place. The owner is actually in the front of the house greeting people and hanging out with the customers. If we ever pass back through here we will definitely stop again. I’m thankful for small businesses like these and such a welcoming group of people! Great food and service!!

My family always loves going to Monkey Morning. The atmosphere is so friendly. The owners are absolutely amazing people and always make sure to speak to my family when we go in as if we have been friends for years. The food is always great and very filling. I was on google looking for a beachfront breakfast for our mother/daughter weekend when Monkey Morning Cafe showed up. We went there instead. The food was great, the service was exceptional, and the prices were appropriately set for the food. We had no fewer than 4 people who serviced our table and gave us great service. Highly recommend!

Very nice understated restaurant. Wouldn't have found it without googling, but good breakfast spot. The owner (I assume) took something off the bill simply because my husband was full. That was very nice of him.

Amazing food and staff. I had the 3 meat omelette and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were absolutely phenomenal. My wife ordered the can’t decide and said it was amazing as well. The staff was very friendly and the price was very reasonable.

5 stars all around! The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. We randomly stumbled upon this place on our first day in Daytona and im so glad we did! We are already talking about coming back before we head home. The chocolate chip waffle was the best waffle I have ever had. 10/10 recommend.

We are here visiting and this was our first breakfast outing and went by the rating and at a 4.8 we thought it would be great. Not at all the case. Most of the 4-5 stars must be from friends of the owner. Waitress took forever to take our order then to be pulled to another table and we got a different server. Friend of owner was sitting at a table next to us being rudely loud talking across the room to the owner. Food was average at best. Surprised this place is still open. Reading the reviews seems the owner can’t take constructive criticism instead wants to put blame on the customers for their low reviews. Maybe listen to what your customers are saying and make improvements upon that to better your business and you wouldn’t get so many bad reviews.

I love their strong coffee, great food and most of all how they support our veterans and military ❤️ A must visit!

Sassy service with more than a smile. Clearly a place run as a labor of love. Servers literally sit down next to you to recommend favorites and take your order. One visit and you'll feel like a regular. We have now been there three times and it seems to just keep getting better each visit. STEAK and Eggs was perfectly prepared. DON'T underestimate the breakfast burger sandwich, it will definitely be ordered again and again. The signature Monkey Omlette 🐒 is extremely tasty, loaded with fillings and smothered in sausage gravy. The cheese GRITS were better than I expected. This is a must go spot for breakfast if you are vacationing...but still a "best kept secret" among locals.

Mom and Pop place. Nothing fancy! Service excellent. Food plentiful and delicious. Coffee and ice tea refills spot on. Definitely should be on on every ones visit list.

We waited almost an hour before we were told there were still four tables ahead of our order. When I asked on the phone, I was told it was only about a 30-minute wait on food. Super slow service, had to walk out. Edit: I saw their kitchen, and the cook was making the orders one at a time. There was a huge flat top with only 2 eggs on it. Every tables' food was coming out one plate at a time. That's not the fault of a small kitchen's, its a lack of efficiency. Even with the place being busy, over an hour wait for breakfast food is ridiculous. If you can't handle a breakfast rush, don't tell people it's only thirty minutes for food when it's actually almost triple that.

This place deserves more than 5 stars! I am willing to wager that this may be the best kept secret for a breakfast cafe! Probably THE best breakfast I’ve eaten! Staff is great, food is FANTASTIC, diner is old school. My only tip to anyone that has never eaten here…. Parking is limited, wait for a spot to park to enjoy this place! It’s worth the wait. 🤘👌👍🇨🇦

Everything is kept immaculately cleaned. Even the sugar containers on each table looked to be freshly wiped after each day, and same with the ketchup bottles. Outstanding service, excellent food, and wonderful attention to detail. I will most certainly be returning as much as I can!

The food and coffee were good and the servers and owner were friendly and attentive. You can tell the biscuits they serve are made from scratch, and the sausage gravy was creamy instead of watered down like other places. We will definitely be back.

Feel like we were swayed to come here to due all the high ratings, but were all disappointed with our meals. People are great, but food was below average, drinks were flat, fruit was old.

Happened to find my way into this great little family run restaurant while traveling. They made my wife and I feel right at home! Food was great service was phenomenal! The owners were so sweet and hospitable!! He noticed we were taking a photo on our way out and yelled “STOP! .. come back here… if your going to take a photo you have to go behind the bar and get a good one”. We sure did get a good picture but the story of what happened after that photo I’ll let him tell you ;) Do yourself a favor in your in the area and go have a meal with them!

It was our first time here and was really impressed. We ordered the Irish coffee which was alcohol I thought it was just the creamer. We ordered the half biscuits and gravy, really good. I ordered the can’t decide with egg whites, sausage, pancakes and home fries. My boyfriend ordered the can’t decide with scrambled eggs and bacon with pancakes and hashbrowns. Everything was delicious. What I liked about this place is that it isn’t a chain and the owners and employees were so nice and down to earth. If you haven’t tried them you should. 10/10
