A long overdue addition to Savage Mill and quickly becoming our favorite little Diner/Cafe. Great sandwiches, drinks and more - even breakfast waffles. Ample seating in a great atmosphere.

Coffee ice cubes elevated my iced coffee, and the service was excellent - very happy to support this business!

The new location is great. Same amazing food and customer service. Would definitely recommend to others. The food is seasoned well and the smoothies are delicious.

Went to the mall for pottery and after that me and my kids were jus roaming around and saw this shop.We tried mango and dragonfruit lemonade ,tea and coffee cake .Everything tasted so good and fresh.We came to know that the lemonade and tea was made by the lady who served us .She was so nice and gave my kids some extra cookies to try .I liked the tea so much that wanted to buy the 1/2 gallon container but I think she is really famous because it was all gone.Will definitely go again and try other food and lemonade/tea too.

Spent the day at savage Mill and enjoyed breakfast and lunch here. The food was delicious!! The owner was super nice too. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Had breakfast here this morning and it's top notch! Great coffee, and my breakfast bowl was delicious. Grits with soft scrambled eggs (done to perfection), and turkey sausage. I was prepared to season the grits but I'm glad I tasted them first. DELICIOUS! Definitely worth a trip to the mill. By the way, they have amazing deserts. The cherry cake... addictive. 😊

Service was great. My fam loved the breakfast croissant with bacon and the turkey sausage, egg, & cheddar croissant. I had to add a lil salt n pepper to my egg, swiss, lettuce & tomato croissant but it was still great! Oh, and they have the BEST lemon pound cake! We have a new breakfast spot! 🖤

The waffle breakfast platter was not good. The waffle was hard and dry. The potatoes had too much herb seasoning on them. The cheesesteak had the same herb flavor. We did not enjoy either meal.

I loved the jerk chicken and waffle! So yummy. Very nice folks and great pricing. Wish they opened for more hours but their catering business is popping. Love this place

When my husband first took me Maryland, he said I would love this place. He was correct and this was one of the first places I fell in love with. The owners are a beautiful family.The food is excellent. On this visit it was Bagels and Lox for the win.

So the food is amazing but the ice coffee is pretty nasty. It taste sour.

The breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito my husband and I got was nothing short of phenomenal! Everything was perfectly seasoned! The salsa on the vegan breakfast burrito was full of flavor! The vegan sausage was so juicy and I am so happy they added spinach and fresh tomatoes to the sandwich it elevated it so much. Often times places fill breakfast burritos with extra cheese which some may like but I don’t prefer it so I really enjoyed the freshness of the veggies. My husband got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel and he could not stop talking about how good it was. Whoever made the sandwich made it like they were making it for themselves. It was THAT good and they added plenty of delicious bacon to top it off. I also got a mango lemonade which was hands down the best lemonade ever. My husband ordered a green machine and was convinced there had to be added sugar because it was THAT good! My only complaint is that the store isn’t closer to my house. We were immediately greeted each time we walked in and the guy working at the register seemed genuinely appreciative of our visit. I can’t wait to go back!

Great atmosphere, service coupled with amazing food for lunch. Always a great finding more vegan options and that vegan chick wrap is A1 Nana hibiscus lemonade is liquid crack and I had to grab two of em!!

This was a fantastic coffee/tea shop, massive bagels and sandwiches, the coffee was incredible and the iced coffee is chilled with frozen coffee ice so it never gets watered down and their home brew tea is better than anything you could get from Starbucks

Ordered a ham, egg, and cheese on white bread with a side of potatoes and a mango, pineapple lemonade and OMG it was all sooooo good. It was my first time there and they completely blew me away. Customer service was wonderful, the gentleman at the front is very helpful and patient! He knew everyones name that walked in lol!! Please try this place!! 10/10 sooo satisfied

I wanted to really say this experience was great as far as food. My sandwich looked nothing like the others in posted pics as I asked them to. My chicken was white w no real flavor and the coco bread was a little soggy. I’m not happy. I hope they will turn the experience around for me. I went out my way for this sandwich.

Phenomenal food, drinks and most importantly service. If you're ever in the Downtown Laurel area, you must stop by. That Jerk Chicken Egg and Cheese on Coco bread should be illegal, but I'm glad it's not lol.

I had been seeing this place all over tik tok and finally decided to go,what a great decision!! The guy at the counter was very nice and welcoming as well as a lady worker who was outside at the parade. They didn't have the full menu available on the day I went but that was fine because I wanted the tik tok famous jerk chicken breakfast sandwich. It was so good a nice little kick of heat, tender meat and soft bread. I didn't get to take a pic because I finished eating it before I thought of pictures. I went with my 10yo who I had to share my sandwich with. From now on she will get her own or I will come while she's at school.

Great experience. They happened to be having an event with a radio host so there were raffles and lots of fun. The service was great and so was our food. I had a delicious jerk chicken sandwich and a green smoothie. Ingredients were fresh and yummy like the sharp taste of the ginger in the smoothie and the bread from their baker.

The breakfast sandwiches here are good though the quality is not always consistent (you will enjoy them on a good day). Beware of random price increases. I recently paid significantly more for the exact same order that I had gotten just two weeks prior (and several times before that) for almost $5 less. They don’t list prices on the menu, which I find insidious and they charge a la carte for many things that other coffee shops would include in the order. Finally, I do believe that the recent increase in social media mentions has engendered their sudden price increases (they’ve gotten a little pompous with the surprise you at the register price increases). I enjoyed them more when they were more humble (with prices and when they had tables for you to sit and converse at). You now pay a lot more (restaurant prices) for less service and convenience.

Stopped by late morning, the smell of jerk chicken reeled us in. I had jerk chicken salad on a house salad, my friend had jerk chicken/egg/swiss sandwich on choco bread. She had house made cold-pressed apple juice and I had drip coffee in the flavor of the day. The food was absolutely delicious, just the right amount of spice on the chicken. She said the apple juice was the best cold pressed she ever had, and I got a refill on my coffee. Portions were generous, and service was great!

It was my first time visiting More Than Java Cafe. My experience was beyond the 5 star that they deserve today. It was more so 10 across the board. I ordered the vegan sandwich, veagn sweet potato pie and the vegan cookie. Which all 3 was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone that's a Vegan as well as a non vegan. They serve all tastes buds. If your in Laurel please go and check out this Gem. I would differently visit again when I come to the Laurel area. A very satisfying Parton from Randallstown,Md.

I typically don’t write too many reviews, but after having their breakfast sandwich, I just had to let everyone know how delicious it was!! I got a jerk chicken egg and cheese on an everything bagel and my husband got the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and we split our sandwiches. It was the first time I had jerk chicken on a breakfast sandwich and I think it changed my life! Their jerk chicken was so tasty and flavorful and took my breakfast sandwich to another level. I feel like I can die happy now…. If you want a life changing breakfast experience, I’d highly recommend this place. On top of that, the man who served us was just so happy and kind, you can tell he loves this place and food.

Excellent customer service and food. My first experience was top notch. I ordered the bacon/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich on coco bread and an iced hazelnut coffee. The sandwich was not skimpy on the bacon and the coco bread was delightful. The iced coffee was delicious, also. So glad I found this place. And the employees/owners are so pleasant. There’s street parking and additional parking on the next intersecting street. Undoubtedly, I’ll be a repeat customer. Bonus: I think you can get breakfast all day! So you won’t miss out, even if you like to sleep in.

Amazing food! We ordered a vegan breakfast sandwich on a biscuit and a regular breakfast sandwich on a croissant - loved both! Got lattes with oat milk and the espresso roast was so good! Also got a berry smoothie and was delicious. Idk how we haven’t been here before! New favorite local spot 👍🏼 be mindful though there is no where to sit currently - would love to have indoor seating at some point!!

This morning I got a steak 🥩 egg 🍳 and cheese sandwich on a croissant 🥐...It was mouth watering 🤤... better than delicious!! I also got their strawberry, pineapple 🍍 Lemonade which was awesome! Customer service was also five Stars! I will definitely be back!!!! My new breakfast spot!!

On a busy morning, I stopped in to pick up a smoothie to tide me over until a late lunch. I had their Green machine smoothie. It had a light fresh flavor and was not too sweet. They also have a nice selection of little sweet treats. Have been back again and their smoothie recipe is consistently delicious.

This is my favorite BLACK OWNED breakfast spot. My Husband and I get breakfast here at least 2x’s a week. The staff is super friendly, The coffee is good and they have the BEST breakfast sandwiches in Laurel. 10/10

Best breakfast spot in the area! The staff are incredibly friendly and kind. You can't go wrong with anything on menu. Some of my favorites are their delicious homemade lemonades like guava and passion fruit, the jerk chicken sandwich, lox bagel, and any of the desserts especially the lemon pound cake and banana pudding. Such a hidden treasure!

This place was fabulous! The staff were super nice and helpful, and the coffee was delicious! I got a iced caramel latte, and they use coffee ice cubes which I love, because that means your drink won’t get watered down. I also got a caramel frappe, and that was delicious as well. I always make it my mission to check out the local coffee shops, and this one is one of the best I have ever been too.

Amazing coffee and breakfast food

I stopped into this cute small town and found this friendly coffee shop. They have vegan cheese and made a really delicious bacon, egg and vegan cheese sandwich with rye bread! It was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The also have vegan cookies: coconut, peanut butter, chocolate chip, and oatmeal raisin vegan cookies. It was delicious! The owner and his wife were so nice and accommodating helping move their outdoor table and chair to a shaded spot outside of their shop.

Great Neighborhood place to get a quick bite. The good is great and the atmosphere is even better. Tabatha and her family treat everyone the same and very well.

I have been here a couple times, and the owners are always friendly! I like their vegan breakfast sandwich, though it was a bit on the spicy side today. They have cookies, desserts, smoothies, fresh pressed juice, chips, and other miscellaneous items. They also have some outdoor seating. Be mindful that there is an additional charge for cheese and some other condiments that you will be asked if you want added to your sandwiches. They do not make customers aware in advance that these things are an additional cost. Texts are sent when customers' meals are ready. The way that it mentioned after every order, sometimes feels as if they do not want customers waiting in the cafe (maybe because none of them are wearing masks🤷🏿‍♀️). They are not open on Monday, Tuesday, or when they have a catered event.

I have lived down the street from this place for almost a year and JUST FOUND OUT about this place. I'm so mad I didn't find it sooner. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant and it was just soooooo perfectly made. And I got two of the lemonades and... MMM MMM MMM... just get one. They also have jerk chicken and waffles and that is exactly what I am going to try next. And it's a black owned business! Say less. Go here you won't regret it!

Today was my first visit I got the jerk chicken salad over kale Which also comes with carrots avocado tomatoes and cranberries. I was thrown off by the cranberries at first but the sweetness really compliments the spicy and savory in the jerk chicken. Amazing healthy food and really great people what more could you ask for 💯

I’ve recently started eating plant-based foods and miss the old go-to breakfast sandwich option. I stumbled upon More Than Java Cafe, pulled up the menu on my phone and saw that they have vegan options. I decided to give them a try. To my delight, the customer service was stellar, staff/owners were friendly and outgoing. I inquired about the vegan options and chose the vegan sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit — it was delicious!! I ate it in my car and had to go back to the cafe to let them know how good it was… Plus, they sell the seasoning that they use on the sandwich and I bought a bottle of that!! My husband took me here for a birthday breakfast yesterday and I'm so glad we decided to try something new because we really enjoyed ourselves! Luckily the weather was warm enough that we could eat outside. The food was delicious (we got a breakfast sandwich and a wrap, and one of the organic juices). Not sure if it was the owner we interacted with, but they were super friendly, which made it all in all a really great experience. :) They also sell art from local artists (at really reasonable prices), so definitely check them out!!! We'll be going back for sure.

This spot is unique. I found it on a Google search and my friends and I went one morning. I was visiting from NY, so your girl was craving a baconeggandcheese. For those who don't know that is a delicacy in NY so I was hesitant to get it here. After contemplating between another breakfast sandwich, I ordered the (turkey)baconeggandcheese on a French toast bagel (per recommendation from the person at the counter). Y'all, I think I messed up. The turkey bacon wasn't the brand I was used to. It was thick and flavorless to me. That was probably what threw off the taste of the whole thing. I should have stuck with pork or something. Additionally, I am used to this sandwich being served on a roll for $3 and change. In conclusion, I should have had the sandwich on coca bread to give it that pop, got pork bacon, and the $6 and some change was a bit too much in my opinion. P.s. my friends enjoyed their meal - Veggie burger and a wrap with a smoothies

Awesome local cafe right on main st! The people who work there are welcoming, friendly and give excellent customer service. I pre ordered two pies, cookies and brownies for a party and wow! Couldn’t have asked for better and the prices can’t be beat. Highly recommend.

I love Java cafe! I started coming for the smoothies, but I love the breakfast and freshly made cold pressed juices and lemonades, and most importantly the wellness products. I buy the seamoss gel that the owner makes, along with other products like black seed oil, elderberry, ginger shots, loose teas, and turmeric. If you catch them when they’re fully stocked, there are even more products. It’s so great being able to go to local black owned spot that values wellness and makes the products easily accessible to the community! If that’s not enough, the couple that owns the shop are genuinely friendly and kind. Great customer service. I love stopping in weekly!
