Finally stopped in after hearing so many good reports. Mr. Pollo did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. Don't miss the Tres Leche cakes. So yum!

If there’s one Latino spot I love, it’s Mr. Pollo! The food is spectacular, the flavors are on point, and the service is exceptional! There’s this bearded guy in the afternoons who definitely makes your visit more enjoyable—he’s super attentive, polite, and honestly, really handsome! I recommend this place with my eyes closed!

Ordered right before they closed and got an amazing serving! Very happy with Mr Pollo! They never disappoint!

I love this place. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered it on door dash…it’s a lot. I don’t mind the fees that come with that, it’s kind of far from me but it’s so, sooo worth it. It’s always delicious. It’s really our favorite place to get take out. So grateful for these folks and the wonderful food they’re making. Mac n cheese is al dente (the way pasta should be), coleslaw is flavorful, plantains are soft and just sweet enough, yuca is cooked perfect and surprisingly travels well with take out, potato salad is also full of flavor- nothing is bland or overly salty. And the salsas add a good kick of flavor with the chicken, but it’s just a bonus, because the chicken is great as is (don’t let the burnt look fool you, it’s crisp and delicious) Don’t hesitate to try anything on the menu, they’re consistent and never disappoint.

Hands down this was the best food experience so far in Pensacola. I would give 10 stars if I could. The chicken for 2 fed 4 of us and we couldn't finish it all. We got plantains & black beans.

I ordered whole chicken to go meal with 2 sides about 2 months ago. I’ve been meaning to write this review. The whole chicken’s skin was burnt. I was pleasantly surprised that it still tasted good. However, I find it deceptive that they didn’t informed me. They were trying to get rid of it. She (unknown) hand it to me with a guilty conscience and I ignored my senses. Have some courage in your convictions by standing by the quality and taste of your chicken. I took 1 star off due to lack of honor and integrity.

They were incredibly nice and the food is SO GOOD! If you are craving a delicious chicken meal! The Cole slaw is great and not too creamy. The hot sauce is freakin great! I really really like this place! The whole chick combo with two sides is around $26-$28 and is plenty of food for two really hungry people or for two meals for one. Enjoy!

The chicken was juicy and flavorful with crispy skin! The slaw was fantastic! The hot sauce topped it off! Paired with great service, this place is a treat!

Great place. Just the food sometimes isn't consistent. The cup of fountain juice doubles in price.

I ordered the chicken bowl which was extremely filling! I had leftovers for later there was so much. It was even more flavorful when I added the sauces and pico that came with it. The employees were very friendly. Not an abundance of seating, but what is there is very comfortable. I love plantains, they were cooked perfectly. I will go back and I highly recommend 👌 ☺️

Don’t sleep on this one! Tostadas, chicken, yuca, plantains, flan… so good! I grew up in Central America and it reminds me so much of food I ate growing up.

Chicken is always amazing, the garlic sauce is so good, and the mashed potatoes were great!

I got the 1/4 with two sides dark. Awesome rotisserie chicken. Moist and packed with flavor. Side of plátanos and potato salad. Plátanos took me home to PR. Loved them.

When I tell you this food was so good I got the macaroni and mashed potatoes and 1/4 piece of dark chicken probably the best grill chicken I have had in the city 10/10😋

Ordered the creamy chicken soup and whole chicken. The flavor of the soup was delicious and the chicken was very tender and juicy with lots of flavor! The service was very friendly. I will definitely be back!

rotisserie might have been the best uber ever had. mac and cheese wasn’t fully cooked. salad and the dressing was amazing. and the side of pico de gallo WAS A REAL SIDE OF PICO. so much and so yummy. green salad is great too!

All I can say is WOW! New to the area and just heard about it from a coworker. Literally the best chicken I have ever had. Amazing flavor and cooked just right. I also got the Rice and Beans with Mashed potatoes which is a must try. I hope they have a frequent flyer program lol

WOW!! My husband and I came here for the first time and I took a bite of the food and it was SO SO GOOD!! I cannot recommend this place enough, the food came out so fast, it was so fresh, the staff was so nice, if I could leave more stars I would. GO HERE

This tastes so, so awesome!!! Can you smell the smoky, salty, grilled. chicken goodness. Plus smooth, hot black beans with sweet plantains... hmmm so good. Dark green is the spicy verde sauce. Light green is tarty, tasty cucumber sauce. We got half chicken meal and split for two. Be back! Welcome to Pensacola!

Mr pollo is our go-to place! My favorite meal is the 1/4 dark + 2 sides. I always get a salad and mac n cheese. Also the green sauce is actually spicy, which i love. I also get the tres leche. The food choices in Pensacola were really disappointing me UNTIL i found this place.

What to say? This was a wonderful surprise that I found while going through Pensacola. They serve Peruvian charcoal chicken; it was moist, tender, and juicy. The potato salad was equally as delicious, and the pickled onions were excellent. Large portion size. Great selection of drinks. Will definitely be going back.

Just ate here for the first time and loved the chicken, plantains and fries! I was there for a lunch meeting and had limited time. The food came out very quickly, was hot, and tasted great. Thanks Mr Pollo!

Tried for the first time today. I have driven by thousands of times and never stopped for lunch. Today I was able to stop and I am glad I did. I was immediately greeted with a friendly hello and welcome. I told them I had never been before and asked for suggestions. I was recommend the 1/2 chicken with 2 sides, I took the advice and had fried plantains and black beans and rice for my sides. Food was very good, and very quick. They are just around the corner from work so I will be back. Thank you.

Everyone was very friendly, and cashier was very helpful in deciding what to get. Chicken was a little dry, but very tasty. The portion size of the sides you order, are huge! Potato Salad and Mac and Cheese were good. Tostones were also good. Would eat here again.

This place is very good. We stopped here for a quick meal before going to the airport and the people were so nice and the food came out perfect. I shared a chicken bowl with my fiancé and we both wanted to order another one because it was gone in no time!!!

1st time visiting here and ordered whole chicken with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. All delicious. Chicken was cooked perfectly and great taste. This will be the only place we will get rotisserie chicken going forward.

Best chicken I've ever had, go at least once a week! Its amazing!

The food was delicious, had no issues with the food but we had an issue with the staff. We ordered to dine in, but also ordered a whole chicken to go and the employee asked if we wanted to wait to get it after we were done eating and we said that was fine. When we asked for the chicken they said wait, we waited 15 minutes and asked again about the chicken and they said they already gave it to us when they hadn't. They started giving us attitude, and ignoring us about it as if we were asking for free food.

Great place to pick up great food…only chicken and variations. The place does have a few (maybe 10) tables but I only gave a 4 stars since it is more along the line of a fast food atmosphere but good beer. Prob better for lunch. For 2 of us we split the 1/2 chicken and got plantains and black beans for our sides. We also ordered mashed potatoes and the cream potato soup. Plenty for us. Everything was delicious! Want to try the tostones next!
