Great place with lots of of vegan and vegetarian options

If there is one thing I will remember eating from my 6 weeks in Alaska, this was it! The crunch wrap Gyro, made my day! The inferno fries were kickin’ and killer good. The Burrito was the size of a baby and my husband demolished without evidence! This is a must stop in Valdez! Natalie was super friendly and personable! They were just about to close but were happy to make us food when we walked up. Thanks for the great experience!

First timer. We had vegan, classic and gyro crunch wraps with a side of fries. Every dish was flavorful and a reasonable value. Solid selection of local beers. It is right on the water and has a chill vibe. Would definitely go again if we were staying longer. $ 25/person with tax and tip.

Super busy but the food was super good! Their crispy flat wraps were so yummy I ate 4 of them the 2.5 days I was there! Their halibut tacos were also great when they have halibut in stock. Their staff seems overworked though so hopefully they can get some more help.

Hidden gem in Valdez! Great flavors - huge portions!

I ordered 1 banh mi crunch wrap and waited 55 minutes for it. They had a decent amount of customers but it didn't seem like an overwhelming amount. Others in my group opted to get food from a different stand nearby since Nat Shack was sold out of what they'd wanted, and they ordered after me but received their food a half hour before me, and the other place seemed to have the same steady flow of customers. Not sure if what I ordered just takes a while, but I wish I'd been told the wait was going to be that long before I ordered. The actual crunch wrap was OK. Certainly edible but lacked impressive flavor. I probably wouldn't get it again, especially coupled with a 55 minute wait.

Three words: The Halibut Tacos. Amazing food. It gets very busy at lunch and the line does get a little long. We waited about 20 minutes to get our food, but it was fresh and worth the wait. Besides, the views… My wife hand the crunch wrap on steroids…it was massive and tasty. We’ll definitely be back on our return trip.

While the halibut burrito I got was good, the sauce was tasty, they took an absurdly long time to make our food.

It's a food truck, so the atmosphere is hopefully find a place to eat your food. I ordered the Halibut tacos and the Bahn Mi tacos. They were both delicious. Nice portion of halibut and the Bahn Mi was just the right spice level.

Easily one of my new favorite spots for food in Valdez. The Halibut burrito is absolutely incredible and I love the location by the harbor. I highly recommend stopping here if you're in town.

Located in a funky lot with multiple food trucks, tents, and seating. The staff were very friendly and conversational. I watched eagles soar overhead as I waited for my takeout. Huge portions of delicious vegan options. Get the crunch wrap!

We had a quick lunch on a warm, sunny day. An outside dining truck was the perfect stop. We thoroughly enjoyed the halibut tacos. The fish was fresh and the tacos has a great combination of flavors and sauce.

Omg this place is amazing!! Visited here while we were in town. I have allergies to tomato (sadly bc I love them) , and they made sure everything was okay for me and even gave me extra sauces and veggies. They hooked it up! I had leftovers! We went here twice in a row because we liked it so much. Will definitely be back!

The Halibut bowl, is the best food/deal in Valdez. The meal is absolutely so delicious. My wife and I ate there twice, nothing in Valdez comes close. The help is so friendly. I will miss this dish in NY.

I visited Valdez for a couple days for fishing and seeing but when we went to find something to eat we found Nat Shack. It is the best restaurant I have ever been too the service was amazing and so was the food.

Very good business practice to actively close down before your designated close time while someone is actively waiting to order.

Super disappointed with my experience. Went to a little pop-up event they had and got their crunch wrap. Based on the reviews I read and word-of-mouth recommendations, I was really look forward to trying their food. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The crunch wrap was burned on the outside and tasted worse than Taco Bell's crunch wrap while costing three times as much. If I came back, I would NEVER get their crunch wrap.

Wow what a place! So good! We had the crunch wrap, burrito, then another crunch wrap! The servings are really big and the quality is top notch! Love the food and the people and would definitly go back! Might have to wait a few minutes, but get a beer and wait. It's so worth it!!!!!

As amazing as the reviews say! When deciding to eat at Nat’s I found it funny that multiple reviews stated people were repeat customers over their short trips to Valdez. My friends and I quickly became repeat offenders as well, visiting the Nat Shack three times over our two day stay 🤣. You cannot go wrong with the crunchwraps (our favorites were the vegan and the banh mi) and inferno fries! As they have amazing food and a local following, they do incur a short wait at times, but you can grab a drink and take in the beautiful views while hanging out in their eating area- the food was WELL worth the wait! The Nat Shack story is also worth looking into- it definitely is a labor of friendship & love. We will prioritize coming back to Valdez to experience Nat Shack again!!

Amazing food. We were so tired after a day full of kayaking and heard about this place from our amazing tour guide. We tried Crunchwraps, burritos and tacos and everything is good. My favorite is Crunchwrap and definitely recommend anyone who wants to taste good food

Loved the Bahn mi crunchwrap I had on day one of my Valdez visit and probably loved the chicken mission burrito even a little more on day two! Guacamole was a little boring but housemade chips kinda made up for it.

We got two burrito bowls. They were hot and fresh ingredients! We spent $40 here and it was soooo worth it. Cute fresh cut flowers on the table and the guy at the window was so nice. If I’m ever in Valdez again, I’ll be going back to Nat Shack!

We're from Texas near Austin, so we've had our share of burritos and tex-mex. This is by far the best burritos we have had in a long time. The sauce on the halibat burrito was amazing. My husband really enjoyed the steak burrito and our kids loved the crunch wraps. This place is amazing!

This must be a super popular place, as we arrived not too long after opening & there was a line. Our food was great. We ordered crunchwraps & halibut tacos/burritos. Our crew enjoyed their crunchwraps & my halibut tacos were amazing. Slightly spicy but so good. Definitely recommend.

The food is amazing. Definitely worth the wait if there is one. We stopped in Valdez for camping and stopped here for lunch the first day. It was so good we had to come back before we left. The dip flight and inferno fries are the perfect appetizer/shareables, Banh Mi crunch wrap was on point and the verde tacos were delicious. Will definitely stop here anytime we come to Valdez!

Stopped here for dinner twice while in Valdez. The halibut burrito was awesome! The following night, they were all out of halibut. So I ordered the chicken verde tacos. They were not that good. Chicken was grizzly and tough so, just get the halibut and all will be good!

The Nat Shack is INCREDIBLE! There was a bit of a wait the night we went, but totally worth it. Had the banh mi crunch wrap and it was absolutely delicious. Don’t miss this stop if you’re in Valdez!

It's a popular place so there was a bit of a wait to order and for the food. We each had a burrito which were large and tasty.
