The owner and waitress are very nice and kind! The food was fresh and delicious. Very tasty and good quantity. Highly recommend this place!! We will be coming again.

Decided to go here on a lark. We weren't particularly hungry, but wanted something better than fast food. The restaurant was very clean and we loved the design and decor which was opulent, but not ostentatious. We got the fried spinach pies as an appetizer which were very good. My wife got the Blackened Fish and I got the Red Velvet Chicken. Both meals were absolutely delicious. The fish had an amazing depth and balance of flavor. The sauce was cooked with a variety of vegetables, mushrooms and spices, which was a perfect balance of spicy and umami. My wife took the first few bites, let me taste some (which was amazing), and then squeezed the lemon onto it. Absolute game changer. The fish went from amazing to excellent. The lemon really opened up the flavors of the dish and added a dash of freshness that we didn't even know it needed. The chicken was moist and extremely flavorful. It was cooked in perfectly caramelized onions with bell peppers. Again, the depth and complexity of flavors was unbelievable. Both dishes were served with rice and hummus, which were both the best we've ever had anywhere. Our server was attentive and sweet. She was always there when we needed her, but never hovered. The chef came to the table after the meal to check on us and he had a great personality. We have eaten at several Greek/Lebanese restaurants, in several different cities and states, and this was by far the best. This may be the best restaurant in Lake Charles. I cannot say enough about how great this whole experience was, and there is no doubt we will be back.

Had a dinner , took kofta kaboob after verbal assurance of the server and chef that meat is halal. Very juicy and seasoned kaboob with good presentation in the plate . Hummus with bread was tasty . As per the chef , all lamb dishes are halal and they have lots of halal options but currently having issue in halal chicken supply. Server was very attentive and gave us excellent service . Price is on the higher end but will go again , as we have now another halal but authentic Mediterranean option in our town .

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. My husband and I arrived on a Friday night at around 6 pm. We walked in and there was a couple sitting at the bar and only two other tables were occupied. We were sat in a booth. We were promptly seated and greeted. Even as far as introducing all the servers and the cook for the night. We ordered a Moscato and a Dos Xx, which they were out of both. I ordered a lemon drop off their menu and my husband ordered a crown and coke. We ordered an appetizer of hummus, I believe it was the spicy one. It was AMAZING! It came out quickly with hot pita bread. I ordered the beef kabob and my husband ordered the shrimp kabob. I ordered a drink called the dragonfly. The beef was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The vegetables were on point. I don't know what they did to them, but they were AMAZING. My husband's shrimp, oh my, the seasoning was good, now, he did wish he had more of those shrimp. But he wasn't starving by no means, but they were so good. The hummus with the chickpeas on the plates were great too. To finish it off we ordered baklava to split. It was warm and so good. 🤌🤌🤌🤌 The atmosphere, service, and food 10/10! I will be back!

The owner of this establishment is absolutely horrendous. He's rude, disrespectful, and racist, and the food is tasteless and subpar to say the least! I would not recommend anyone waste their time or money to patronize this place. He got offended because my friend asked for change for a tip in cash. The owner was not even our waiter but came over to our table and rudely harassed us because we asked for change...after the meal was already paid for with a credit card. We then went outside to our vehicles in the parking lot and told us we were never welcome back to his restaurant and that he would call the cops on us. We then called the cops ourselves due to feeling threatened and harassed. I'd give this place 0 stars if it wasn't required to give 1 star to be able to post the review.

One of the best Mideastern food restaurants around. Service was excellent, pricing was good and reasonable for the price. Whole crew treated us as a food critic covering them.

Just amazing atmosphere, super nice and knowledgeable staff. The inside is an absolute jewel very intimate and romantic setting. You’re able to see the chef prepare your courses ! Great drink selections a must have when in the Lake Charles area !!

My wife and I (after reading about Kawal's Kabab House & Grill in Lagniappe) went there for dinner on Thursday evening 1/25/24. Everything not only met our expectations, it surpassed them. The food was excellent and the service unmatched. Prices reflect today's expectations for quality restaurants. They can compete well with the other top-quality restaurants service Greek-Lebanese type foods. Excellent Beef Kabobs, meat grape leaves, outstanding humas. We will be return customers.

Traveling and was so tired of fried everything. This place is new but the food is fabulous. If you’re a fan of Mediterranean food or are just looking for something different, Nawal’s is so worth the adventure. I had the Red Velvet Chicken and it truly was a taste experience. The Lebanese hummus was to die for. So good. I think we’ve found our new favorite Lake Charles eatery.

It’s an American dinner pretending to serve Mediterranean food .. I would rather have not eaten than to have been thru trying different terrible dishes with no flavor

Easy’s food is incredible. Easy is one of the chefs that helped feed thousands of people after Hurricane Laura and continues to provide amazing food and service at Nawal’s. The man has a heart of gold. Highly recommend for delicious food and an amazing time. Family friendly.

My wife and I ate there on 12/9/23 after Christmas shopping. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife had the Gyro plate and I had the Blackened Fish with cream sauce and blackened shrimp. It was so good! We would definitely recommend and will be back! The waiter was so attentive and all of the staff so friendly and amazing. It was one of the best best dining experience we have had in Lake Charles and for a very affordable price! They even brought us complimentary chocolate martinis. This place is truly a gem and and a place to “watch” out for (joke with the staff / owner). because it will surely be around for a long time!!!

My family and I ate here for dinner. The food is absolutely delicious. The dishes are a great portion size. Our server was very kind, attentive, and helpful. The chef came over near the end of our meal and recommended the black cherry sauce on our cheesecake - which was the perfect choice. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Lake Charles!

Really good food the chef is great. Try the cabbage rolls to start. The clay pot chicken is fantastic. Make sure you finish with a Turkish coffee.

We very excited to try this restaurant. Servers were okay but very forgetful. No feta on our salads or hummus. Asked for tahini sauce, didn’t receive it until after we were finished eating. We were charged an extra $6 for using a credit card without being told that prior. Food came out, rice was ice cold chicken was steaming hot? Not sure how this establishment has 5 stars. I will never return. Very disappointed.

Michael is the man! Came from Houston and stopped by to eat, food is delicious but man the customer service is excellent and tops it off. I personally haven't seen such customer service in Houston.

My wife and I were the first ones there when they opened. We were skeptical at first because the staff was late but the Chef said we wouldn'tregret staying. He was oh so right!! It was fantastic. Best we've ever had!!

Tried this place out because i was craving something different. I was not disappointed at all. Got the combo plate and chicken kebob plate to share. It was delicious. Also, I got a Lebonese tea, so good on a hot day, very refreshing. I will definitely be back to Nawal's. Sorry, i didn't grab photos, but next tim, i will for sure.

Our new favorite in the area! Service was amazing— couldn’t catch our server’s name but he was SO good!— the owner/chef came to our table multiple times to answer our questions and give recommendations, margaritas are strong, food was DELICIOUS, and we couldn’t believe the cheap note. Great atmosphere, super clean; we are fans! Can’t go wrong with the Nawal’s Special, original hummus, and beef kabobs.

If you are looking for a delicious, authentic Middle Eastern dining experience, Nawal's is the jewel in the crown. Pristine, elegant interior, a bar equipt with Lebaneese wine, and dishes that are lovingly presented.. The staff is friendly and attentive (Thank you, Colbey and Mike). The owner, Eazy, is in the kitchen, giving personal attention to every plate. The roast chicken and lamb stew are to die for!

Delicious food and spectacular service. The staff was courteous, prompt, and very friendly. Best hummus I've had in years! Husband had sampler platter and I got vegkabobs. Amazing flavor and you can watch them preparing everything.
