All things considered, Needles Lodge deserves a 5/5. The ambiance was great, and the food was even better. So many options to choose from, with multiple stations that made your dish on the spot (omelettes, waffles, etc.). The price is steep, but the experience was well worth it in my opinion.

This is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to. I didn’t think a ski resort in the middle of summer could offer so much fun! Gondolas were cool. We saw a moose. Food at the buffet was insanely good. Everything is pricey but you pay for quality for sure.

**Needles Lodge at Snow Basin - A Perfect Mountain Retreat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** I recently had the pleasure of dining at Needles Lodge, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! After an exhilarating ride up the tram, I was greeted by breathtaking views that set the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. I opted for the healthy bowl featuring sweet potato and quinoa, and it was absolutely delicious! The combination of flavors and textures was delightful, making it both a nutritious and satisfying choice. It’s evident that the kitchen prioritizes fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the presentation was beautiful. The lodge itself has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of outdoor adventures. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. Whether you're hitting the slopes or just looking for a serene place to enjoy a meal, Needles Lodge is a must-visit. I can't wait to return for another delicious bowl and to soak in those stunning mountain views!

We rode the Gondola up to Needles Lodge for Sunday Brunch. It was a wonderful buffet with Breakfast and lunch options. My favorites were the prime rib, Mac and cheese, Eggs Benedict, and fingerling potatoes. There was a beautiful view and the Lodge itself is very pretty. I can’t wait to come see it in the winter.

Stay away from the pastor tacos. Most places that serve pastor i would at least think are decent. If they are generic its just chicken and beef. So i was excited to try it. Its giant hunks of pork and had absolutely no flavor. Probably zero adobo that it sat in overnight (legit what makes pastor....pastor), just plain cooked pork. Definitely not pork shoulder slow cooked on a spit and shaved in thin slices. That plus the adobo to add mexican spices are what pastor even is at the very least! The corn tortillas tasted like store bought ones, which is a fine vessel if whats in it is good, but this was not. I chose the "spicy" salsa, and i wouldnt even classify it as medium, plus it too was lacking seasoning. Salsa needs salt. ALL salsas need salt! Its not even expensive! Even if its a sweet salsa, the rest of the ingredients need salt and the sweetness adds another layer. It tasted like just vegetable pulp without any seasoning at all. Not even exaggerating, the best part of the tacos were the white onions. Even the cilantro was wilted. It also comes served with a tiny portion of completely tasteless white rice (not even butter?), and completely bland black beans. Again a refusal to use any seasoning. Onion powder and garlic powder go a long way. I dumped Cholula in the tacos to make them somewhat palatable. For $30 its a joke We also got the loaded fries, and those tasted good. No complaints with those.

The Needles food is overpriced garbage but I guess when you're a ski resort you can charge $20 for a plate of chips with 3 ingredients and call it "nachos" Thinking that the food here is 5 stars that says a lot more about your taste in food than you want it to.

A beautiful site but our dining experience left a lot to be desired. We saw a moose on the way up and trees were just beginning to change. Our reservation time was 2:15 with last time of 2:30. Yes, we got enough to eat but it wasn’t necessarily what we wanted as much of the selections were either gone and not replaced or dried out and cold (all of the meats except the prime.) Since I can’t eat prime, I settled for an omelette. The young man behind this station didn’t know that you cook in the onions, cheese, etc. and not just pile them raw on top of the finished omelette! I had a pretty good waffle but it was taken from a bag and not made fresh in front of me. Many of the desserts were missing as well so our selection was lacking. If it wasn’t for the beautiful setting I would rate this as a 1-2. Definitely not worth the hefty price! I imagine this would have been a great experience for an earlier reservation time but that wasn’t our experience. They were also closing umbrellas and taking apart the patio while we were still eating! Definitely took away from the ambiance!

Okay wow. I barely have words. Sunday brunch is out of this world! They have so many stations , you are sure to find something for everyone! The Brussels, biscuits and gravy, cracklins, and prime rib were my favorite but honestly I didn’t eat a single thing I didn’t like! if you can get reservations here, do it! IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! The service was phenomenal as well. they have a dessert table (I loved the pistachio cupcake), they have a charcuterie station, omelet station, carvery, and several other stations just full of food. everything seasoned perfectly and all perfect temperature wise too. A lot of times at buffet style brunches, things are soggy or cold or taste like mush of flavors, but not snowbasin. They had people changing our food frequently and it showed! The only tiny downside is the alcoholic drinks weren’t that strong but it’s Utah and to be expected so no worries there. The view is also amazing if you’ve never eaten up there before. The patio was great and had good shade where needed. I wish snowbasin did this brunch all year around because it’s an actual gem.

Brunch at needles is a fun experience. The food was great quality, and everything tasted amazing. If you are gluten-free, they do label the food. The views are stunning. I recommend the watermelon margarita. Cocktails are not included with brunch. That's when things get more pricy. Patio seating is beautiful but can get windy before noon. After noon, wear sunscreen or get a table with an umbrella in summer. After brunch, go for a nice scenic walk around the mountain. Wear appropriate shoes if that is of interest.

I visited at the end of the ski season, so only the grill was open, and it was a little slow. I attended the restaurant earlier in the season when it was running on all cylinders, and it was much nicer with more choices and was much faster getting the food. Surprisingly, while not necessarily the inexpensive, the food was not as expensive as other "theme parks" and resorts. While obviously what you order dictates prices, I would say that the average meal, which is both good and filling, would run about $20/person - a large pizza slice is $10 and prime rib is about $25 during the 2022/2023 season.

Not classifying this as 5 star dining. As far as ski resort set up and service goes, quality and price, Snowbasin continues to excel. This day was spent mostly in line waiting for lifts, with an influx of people the lines remained non existent. Every single employee was kind, courteous and fun. As someone who has worked for resorts and owned a restaurant the best part is the people here. I hope this speaks to how they feel and are appreciated. Experience is everything, kudos to Basin.

The Needles Lodge boasts breathtaking views and great ski slopes, but the real standouts are the exceptional food and drink selection. The cuisine is top-notch, with a range of delicious options to choose from. The drinks menu is also impressive, with a great selection of premium wines, spirits, and beers. However, all of this luxury comes at a price, and the Needles lodge can be quite overpriced. Despite this, it's still worth a visit for a special occasion or if you're looking to indulge in a luxurious ski experience.

We went to the Sunday brunch. It's $75/person (which is a little pricier than the brunch at Sundance which is $50/person). But a gondola ride is included for each person in the party (an adult gondola ticket is $25). Also, unlike sundance this brunch has a fresh crepe station and fresh egg Benedict station in addition to the carving station and omlete station (which sundance has as well). All drinks (except alcoholic drinks) are included with the price of brunch. Everything was clean, delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. We went for the Sunday brunch buffet & it was excellent. The gondola ride up and back down really set the tone and gave us time to appreciate our incredible surroundings. We walked in to the restaurant feeling hashtag blessed lol. The brunch spread was fancy - lobster ravioli, eggs Benedict constructed right in front of you (the ham was perfect and hand carved, too), chocolate covered strawberries with hard-to-find actual chocolate (not the wax most places put on strawberries). And you can walk around the area for incredible pictures, too. It was blessedly about 10 degrees cooler at the restaurant than it is on the ground, so that was a welcome change in August. Only weird thing is no bathrooms. I guess that helps get people away from the buffet, lol. But don't do what we did by exploring nature before you eat, because if you want to wash your hands you can't!
