Nyle’s the man! Great time on the water! Amazing experience

This was our second time whitewater rafting with this company! Both times have been great. Beautiful scenery, safe, and most importantly fun!!! Our guide Nile was really personable and did a great job of leading the trip. The crew even went above and beyond to help us fix a flat tire! Thanks Nile, Julia, Nick and Dindy!

This was our 2nd year at NEOC. As other reviews have indicated, the view of the lake and Mt Katahdin is incredible. You could sit there with a good book forever. It’s that peaceful even with occupied cabins in the back. We stayed at Big Mud cabin last year and Fox Den this year for a bit more privacy but as other comments have stated they could use better lighting or at least install a dimmer on the canned lights. Also, at Fox Den we later discovered the toilet was leaking and the wi-fi was completely useless. It kept dropping only seconds after connecting despite reconnecting the router as instructed by the staff. The connectivity wasn’t a big issue because we were there to hike but on one rainy day we had it would have been nice to have stable wi-fi. Lastly, we had to leave a day early due to obligations at home. We reported the toilet leaking significantly and that they should address prior to the next occupancy. The manager was not apologetic at all for the inconvenience and stated no refunds unless they get a walk in the same day. How would we even know if you had a walk in or not?? Secondly I didn’t ask for a refund for the day but common courtesy would dictate that it would seem plausible given the toilet issue. One last comment. Given the expected hot and humid summers even in northern ME NEOC should consider heat pump mini splits in the cabins rather than leaving a very loud dehumidifier and/or fan which draw much more electricity.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Our white water rafting guide, Nyle, was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we set off, his expertise and enthusiasm was evident. Nyle made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable while injecting just the right amount of adrenaline and fun into the adventure. His deep knowledge of the river and its surroundings added a fascinating educational element to the trip. With a perfect balance of professionalism and humor, he turned a great day into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an exhilarating and safe white water rafting trip! All of the staff was knowledgeable and friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do. This will be a yearly trip for our family now. The lunch they provide was surprisingly delicious and flavorful. I can't say enough great things about this place. They really "WOWed" me.

We had our wedding here this past weekend and we couldn’t be happier. Not only is the location gorgeous the NEOC staff are truly amazing and go above and beyond. They fixed a friends flat tire and another’s car break. They seamlessly pivoted our ceremony when the rain didn’t want to let up. The food was amazing. All of our guest had a great time. We can’t wait to keep going back.

Lunch was good. View was beautiful! Did not stay but the cabins looked well maintained. They were hosting Hike for Heros to remember military, emergency personnel, law enforcement & firemen that had died while serving. A number of gold star families were in attendance.

Didn't stay there as it was eclipse weekend but heard from others the accommodations were very good. The service and the food were excellent. And the view of katahdin is amazing.

Our wedding at Ktaadn Resorts (NEOC) was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived for our venue tour, we knew there was no where else we could imagine getting married. The spectacular scenery and convenience of having your entire wedding weekend on property are immediately apparent, but what really sets this venue and experience apart are the staff. Shorey leads an absolutely incredible team and every one of them went above and beyond to make our weekend special and our guests feel welcome. We couldn’t imagine of day without all of them. The newly added spaces on property give endless options for the perfect weekend of events. The patio of River Drivers was a dreamy location for our rehearsal dinner. Knife Edge Brewing was the perfect spot for our casual welcome dinner with pizza and beers. The lakeside in an ethereal place to walk down the aisle and see the beautiful scenery and all your favorite people waiting. And finally, the new event center space is an unbelievable grand finale for our reception. The newly built space is pristine and gives you the best of both worlds with lawn and outside to enjoy, and the inside for the evening when it gets chilly. And the best part about Ktaadn Resorts is that it is the perfect place to visit year after year! We are already looking forward to a visit this spring and all our guests from across the country are already dying to come back too! Thank you for everything, Shorey and team!

I stayed here this past weekend to snowmobile the trails out of the property. The trails were fantastic, most likely due to the local snowmobile club being run by the resort itself. We stayed in the Millinocket stream cabin and it was great and had an awesome view of Mt Katahdin. The staff working could not have been more friendly from the people at the rental desk, groomer operators, and everyone else. I am looking forward to coming here many more times in the future.

I have been to this place twice, in the last three years, for a long weekend of snowmobiling. The service here is outstanding. The staff is extremely accommodating, and they even helped us out when we found ourselves down a sled late one evening. The team here is great, and if you're looking for a get a way for the weekend you won't go wrong staying here.

This was the best meal I've had in a long time. Phenomenal service, amazing food! After dinner I made a reservation for a cabin to come back and bring family and friends. Must visit!

Amazing stay! The lodges were well stocked and comfortable. Food was delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

We had our wedding weekend at NEOC the weekend of 10/27/23-10/29/23 and it surpassed all of our expectations. We worked with Julie and she made planning and organizing completely stress free - she gave us timelines for when important decisions would need to be made and made sure everything on the weekend was executed flawlessly. She even gave (extremely helpful and accurate!) suggestions for which cabins would suit family or friends best. In addition, the staff at NEOC was SO KIND and helpful. Our guests could not stop telling us how kind everyone was, how nice the cabins were, and how beautiful the grounds were. It was so amazing to spend the weekend in a place with all of our guests around us. They were able to rent canoes, kayaks, and go on hikes around the grounds! Also the food is incredible! The views from the event center are absolutely stunning, and the brewery was the perfect place to hold our welcome dinner. We give everything about the weekend an 11/10, it truly could not have been better. NEOC is the best place to have your wedding, especially if you want it all in one place.

The restaurant is very nice and they actually know how to cook a good steak. To have some really interesting specials from time to time. It is worth the drive to eat there but make sure you have reservations in peak season.

We recently stayed in a cabin. We loved the proximity to the lake (on the water) and to Baxter State Park. We also loved the food at the restaurant. However the cabin could use some attention. The lighting was terrible. With all lights the room was so dark trying to prep our gear at night was difficult. Also, the furnace did not work. We set it to 68 and when we woke up the cabin was a very chilly 61. We double checked to make sure it was on but it wasn't working. Thankfully the bedding did keep us warm. While it was clean, the floors made your feet black walking barefoot. Overall not bad, but not our favorite for how much it was (overpriced).

Super happy with my experience with NEOC. The cabin was perfect for what we were doing there and the guided climb to summit Baxter Peak summit made this experience an amazing one. Tallie was a great guide that helped us through the knife's edge helping us comfortably check off a bucket list hike.

No hot water during our stay for taking showers, maintenance guy said if there is no hot water there is a pizza place a mile up the road that has showers if we need to use them. I think he was just being nice. I was holding my dog in my arms during check in. Was told that our dog could not be there was told this is a pet friendly place but dogs were not allowed. Was going to buy some merchandise but never did after they kicked us out of thier lobby. Maybe it just wasn't our lucky time to go. Manager understood our concerns and was very professional. Other than that If you like the outdoors it is a very beautiful and relaxing place to go with an excellent scenery.

We just simply loved it there!!! Our stay was just perfect.

My family and I did the morning wildlife tour via pontoon boat with Matt as our guide, he was a very good guide with lots of information and interesting history about the area. Although we didn't see a moose, it was in no way due to our guide not trying, we all felt he did everything he could to find one, it just wasn't meant to be that particular trip. We absolutely loved being out on the water, it was a beautiful morning and some of the best scenery we have seen.

We did the wildlife boat tour on Lake Millinocket with Bob, starting and ending at NEOC Twin Pines. The setting is beautiful, and the operation was well organized. Sadly, we saw very little wildlife. There were several of us constantly scanning the lakeshore with binoculars for 2+ hrs. A beaver, and a couple of loons. It's not withing Bob's control whether animals decide to parade in front of us, but still, that's one star off. Bob is knowledgable and interesting, but he didn't make much effort to engage a number of folks in the boat who were sitting in the back. He doesn't project his voice well. I think he'd do great with a half dozen guests, but there were 11 of us.

Gorgeous spot with jaw dropping views of Katadin. The one downfall is the roads. They are very rough.

Great place to camp, super friendly staff with lots to do. Free use kayaks and canoes at the dock for those staying here and Dave is an AWESOME host !

NEOC Great place to stay, beautiful area with the view of Mount Katadin! The trails are well maintained..... easy access from cabins. The service is remarkable, the staff are very accommodating. The mattresses could be better! I would highly recommend this resort for a great vacation.

The location and the staff at NEOC are incredible. If you want a place where you feel like family, this is it. We visit during snowmobiling season and it's such a great experience, I can't recommend it enough

We tried to go cross country skiing but none of the ski trails had been groomed after the hard rain crust formed.

Great maintained trails for biking and skiing, with access to both a clean, modern, beautiful restaurant on the lake and a brand new beautiful brewery and pizza up on the hill overlooking Mt. Kathdin. The staff is always so helpful and positive. I highly recommend the NEOC !

Great location, great views, great atmosphere. Love the River Divers restaurant. Food is consistently delicious. Menu is small but has a nice variety, I've loved everything I tried. Will definitely go back, can't wait to dine on the gorgeous outdoor patio.

Horrible. Completely disorganized. We followed the directions of where to meet up for the rafting and no one notified us that the meet up was somewhere else. There was no phone signal so we couldn't call to find out. We ended up back tracking and found it only to almost miss the whole trip! All 10 of us. The following week I called to find out when the photos would be posted. No one knew but said they'd get back to me. No one did. I've called several times, left messages, emailed...still no answer or where they are. Finally I see on the website that the rafting the day after ours photos were posted so I called to find out when ours would be only to be told that they were completely erased!!! One of the managers said the owner had called me and told me what had happened and that i was all set but no one did...so the owner is a blatant liar. Even the staff admits they're frustrated with the owners because of all the disorganization! Don't waste your money at NEOC go local to Moxie Falls or another rafting business.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. These people were more than great. We took the tour on the pontoon boat and enjoyed our guide and spending time on the water. Such a beautiful place. Then we had car trouble and Max tried to help us and he even YouTubed possible solutions. However, the car's gear shifter was stuck. We went up to the restaurant and had a wonderful meal. Crab cakes, steak, fries, salad and deserts so yum. However, as good the restaurant was Paige our server was also wonderful. But somehow the owner of the place found out we were stuck and offered up a cabin for the night. Such kindness. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, clean, spacious and so generous of the owner. We thought we would be sleeping in our car and not the beautiful cabin. Thank you so much NWOC for saving us and helping make a car break down not so terrible. All the staff were excellent, helpful and caring. We will be back!!!!

Took the moose tour. No moose today, but awesome pontoon ride either way!

What can I say. A few years back this restaurant would have gotten 5 stars. Now? Not so much. Average food for way above average prices.

Knife Edge Pizza NEOC!! Beautiful location. Amazing staff. The pizza was amazing. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I rented some kayaks and had a wonderful time paddling around and taking in the views around Millinocket lake. Rental for two kayaks for 4 hours was 80 bucks. They have some nice sit in kayaks and few sit on tops as well. After you're done paddling around you can have a nice picnic on some of the benches or eat at the restaurant.

I've been here recommended by another center of neoc, it was the very first day of opening. I must say that I was pleasently surprised by the quality of the food and beer selection. Me and my girlfriend shared two home pizzas with very good ingredients. The place serves fire wood pizza. Amazing place that deserves to have a lot of customers in the future. They seems to be equipped to give a lot of services in the close future. They also have a new England Outdoor center merchandise shop! I'm very happy i could be here for its opening!

Excellent. Excellent. One of the most beautiful places you will ever see. The staff are the best we have encountered in all our years of traveling. Restsurant food and serve was fantastic. Just wonderful.

Had a great time at a wedding here. The property is beautiful as well as the cabins. They have hiking trails, bikes and kayaks for use. The only negative was that there was only 1 cabin on the property with AC and none of the cabins had fans. It got hit at night especially with temperatures in the high 80s during the day.

The three hour pontoon ride was perfect for what I wanted to experience in Twin Peaks. My family hiked Katahdin while I viewed a moose, bald eagles, cormorants, loons, terns, box turtles, and heard the sound of coyotes in the woods. Matt, the pontoon driver, shared information about the area and wildlife. The New England Outdoor Center offers a lot to visitors of all ages.

The burger and fried haddock was excellent. Good service and atmosphere.

We took a moose tour on 18 July at 5pm. Pros: 1. beautiful boat ride! Gorgeous nature! Very relaxing! Boat is high quality & comfortable! 2. Outdoors center territory is very picture perfect and great to walk around! Food at the restaurant is good! 3. If you dont see a moose you can go on another tour ($5 extra only and lifetime guarantee, so you don't have time this year, next summer then) Cons: 1. Last few miles after the turn to the center is...just holes and in a very bad condition. Not sure why can't they fix it. 2. We didn't see the moose ( but I get it, it's not a zoo, not guaranteed). But our tour guide was extremely not knowledgeable! One every question his response was: Well, it's a good question..... No facts, no history of the area, only basic information that everyone knows and can Google -))) I believe he was from NJ, not local. We would prefer a local... 3. It was so relaxing that some people even fall asleep lol Overall: I still have no regrets on taking the tour. Thank you!

We dropped in here for lunch and were delightfully pleased! It has been several years since our last visit. The lodge is gorgeous, with a simple dining room overlooking Millinocket Lake. Eating lunch with Mt Katahdin on the other side of the sparkling blue waters was a magnificent treat. The meal was very well done, on par with very, very good restaurants. The staff was attentive and served everything quickly. It is about 15 miles from Millinocket, so be prepared for that amount of travel, but it is well worth it. After lunch, we strolled grounds. Numerous rental cabins are available, a nice waterfront for boating or swimming, and the grounds are well-tended with plantings everywhere, some with flowers and many with vegetables and herbs. I’m sure our next visit will be sooner!

We booked a Moose Watch (aka Wildlife Tour) through them and not only did we see a Moose we had an amazing guided tour of Millinocket Lake with tons of history and wildlife facts about the area (Thanks, Ken!). We also saw a bald eagle, osprey, loons, common mergansers, a beaver and lots of other ducks and gulls. And very few black flies, mosquitoes, and deer flies since we were on a pontoon boat. Highly recommended Wildlife Tour and NEOC was very helpful in making recommendations for what else to do during our stay near Baxter SP and we also got some great food from their onsite restaurant, River Drivers!

I was out on an adventure on my snowmobile and I decided to stop here to get some gas. After I went inside to pay for my fuel I saw that they served food. I sat down and had lunch. Food was good. Service was great and prompt. Awesome place.

We just returned home from there. So much fun and absolutely everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Cabin was warm and cozy, hoping to stay a week at some point this weekend!!

Place was awesome. Staff is excellent. Great snowmobile rentals and tons of trails. Restaurant was great too.

We had an amazing experience at NEOC. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the lodge we stayed in was exactly what we'd hoped for. There's so much to do that we only scratched the surface in the 2 days we stayed. We definitely recommend and hope to come back soon.

Beautiful place. My husband and I had our wedding here in August and couldn't have been happier with the location. Shorey and the whole team helped pull together a wonderful weekend for us and our wedding guests. The food from River Drivers Restaurant was delicious, and the views of Mount Katahdin and Millinocket Lake in the backdrop are spectacular. We stayed in a cabin a few days extra for our honeymoon. Highly recommended for a wedding ceremony/reception.

The beauty of these buildings blend gracefully into the surrounding wilderness. Excellent food and drink. A must see and do experience for anyone coming to this area

You have to go here as soon as you arive in town. Its a bit of a drive but here is where your adventures should start no matter what time of the year it is.

Had an awesome time. I highly recommend this experience to anyone not from Maine. Hopefully you will get Ken as your guide, so that you can learn about the area. Again I will schedule this each time I am in Maine.

This restaurant was a gem in the middle of the Maine wilderness. The restaurant is called the River Drivers Restaurant. There is a full service bar with a good wine selection. The food and service were excellent and the prices were reasonable. Reservations are recommended.

Great spot on the lake, recently put in some excellent mtb trail

We came here for dinner at the restaurant and everything was amazing. We had cocktails (bloody Mary, blueberry lemonade), butternut squash and cider soup, fried haddock, and lobster risotto. Everything was delicious, you should definitely check it out. The view would've great too, but there was a big rain cloud obscuring the peak. But we got a beautiful rainbow instead!

Beautiful location, never tire of looking at it! Good breakfast. Chicken nachos are bomb. My burger was ok last visit but not great. One of my go to places.

Beautiful place to enjoy scenes of Mount Katahdin across the lake. We strolled the waters edge, passing by many lovely flowers along the path. Reserved (recommended) our spot for an early evening meal, before taking pictures. Food and service proved excellent. This is probably the best place to eat in the Katahdin area.

Outstanding burgers and fish tacos. Everything is good. Waitress was amazing. You can see Katahdin Mountain from the window.

The views from the cabins are stunning. This is my second time here and my love for this place keeps increasing every time I visit.

Stayed at the Twin Pines NEOC cabins for four days. We took advantage of the canoes, kayaks, trail system, and campfires. After a year with everyone on screens it was the perfect getaway. The River Divers restaurant was a true gem with excellent food and draft list. We also booked a Lower River rafting experience that was top notch. If you want to disconnect, embrace adventure and nature let NEOC help guide you along the way.

Fish fry Friday, cold fish and slow service. Never asked if we wanted more drinks. Wife had pasta. Said it was very good

Went whitewater rafting and it was a amazing fun filled day. The guide was great and the company put on a great program as far as the first part of the day good food then the 2nd partt of the river. Excellent experience

Had a lovely post Katahdin hike lunch here. The food was fantastic and the patio idealistic.

We had a great time white water rafting with these folks. The guides were awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable. The facilities were clean and accommodating. The rafting is not for the faint of heart...it starts with a level 5 rapid, but it was so much fun. I would do it again, for sure. Oh, and, the pasta salad rocked. 😜
