The tecno music was a distraction from the food. Anything but cruise carnival cruise music. Now for the food. I ordered Gumbo that was light on protine and Luke warm. The flavor was fantastic after I had it warmed up it was good. The red beans, to my surprise, had real pickled meat. Anybody, kows Monday beans deserves picked meat. They were very good as well. Please give this a try. They are doing very well.

They raised the prices too offen. Took away salad with meals. Now no bread unless u ask. And where the butter. Not the cheap stuff

You can never go wrong with New Orleans Food and Spirits!!! Voodoo egg-rolls are a MUST! Everything is good. I love the grilled tuna. Perfect every time.

Only complaint was it was hot in there. But everything else was absolutely amazing 👏 🙌

My husband and I were seated for over 10 minutes. Three waitresses passed our table several times, never acknowledging our presence, not even to say, “I’ll be right with you”. When the stewardess from the front who originally seated us, came back there and realized that no one waited our table yet, she was extremely apologetic. However, the blatant disregard by the waitresses at a time when the business seemed less busy, was enough for us to decide to leave the establishment and patronize somewhere else. Very disappointed in our experience here.

Really enjoyed the food. Charbroiled oysters, seafood gumbo, and shrimp poboy were very good. Excellent service as well. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I are regulars at this restaurant. The last several times we went we sat at the bar including last night. The bartender was absolutely rude eating her dinner fooling around in her purse and on her cell phone. She ignored two couples who got up and left because she didn’t even look at them while they waited to be serviced. She was so rude to my husband and I we almost left as well but decided to stay because he loves the fried catfish. It was so ridiculous. We decided we will not be back.

This was my first time dining at New Orleans Food and Spirit Covington location. The level of service and atmosphere was great. The food was amazing no complaints. I definitely enjoyed my experience. If you're looking for a great spot with fabulous service you can't go work. I will definitely come again.

Wow!! This place is amazing!!! Went the first night we were in town with another couple, and we had a short wait, but we were blown away by how good the food and service was. The second night we were still talking about it and decided to go back. Our previous waitress noticed us at the hostess desk and pulled us aside and seated us immediately. It made us feel special and appreciated. I'll never come back to Covington without stopping in for lunch or dinner.

My favorite restaurant in the area. Blackened red fish ponchartrain was amazing. The red fish was full of flavor and the crawfish pasta was as well. Such a great experience.

Fantastic menu selection. The food was delicious! Service was top notch. We had a group of 10 and everyone loved their meals. We had charbroiled oysters and they were very good. The PO boys were stuffed with shrimp. The spinach salad with shrimp was delicious and the large amount of shrimp was great.

Great food, I had eggplant filets with seafood stuffing over angelhair with shrimp cream sauce. Superb! Service was great, and the atmosphere was hip. Nice hidden gem in old covington.

Went for dinner and was blown away by the very friendly wait staff and kitchen crew as we were seated through the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and well organized. We loved the great happy hour prices, and the Shrimp Feast and Catfish Loozianne was amazing and warmed our souls. Wow! Very impressed!

New Orleans Food & Spirits name is spot on. Started with order of hush puppies, nice crisp outside not too thick with a perfect inside. Next a cup of gumbo. My mother spent her teenage years in NO. She taught me about good gumbo, The gumbo at NOFS was perfect tonight, right amount of file' and shrimp were plentiful. The redfish ponchetrain with crayfish garlic was a delight. The desert choices were white chocolate bread pudding, key lime pie. We simply had no room. We will absolutely be returning

The atmosphere relaxing the service was great. The food was great. The overall setting is a very relaxed professional people there yet they make you feel at home. I recommend this place to anybody wanted to go out to eat.

We’ve heard lots of good things about this place over the years and have not had the chance to experience it until today and to be honest I’m a little disappointed. So when we got there the hostess was very nice and seated us in an area we preferred. The atmosphere was great, I liked all the natural lighting from the large windows. Our waitress made a point to tell us she would be with us in a minute as soon as we sat down, which was great. After looking at the menu for awhile we put drink orders in, then appetizer, and eventually entries. The overall wait for ordering was reasonable. For our appetizer, we got the charbroiled oysters which was the best thing we got. Their oysters are comparable to Dragos Oyster's and possibly better than Dragos, though they come pretty close in my book. The entries we got were the crawfish pasta with crab cake and the stuffed shrimp cakes with shrimp Alfredo pasta (I forget the exact names). The crab cake and stuffed shrimp both tasted great, but the pasta was bland with no seasoning. I would personally never get their pasta again from this experience. I also had shrimp shell inside of both of my stuffed shrimp cakes (the entire tail was in both of them). The waitress offered to get me a replacement, but I declined because I did not want to have to wait awhile. Neither of us ate much of the pasta we had, but I did bring it home in hopes I could add some flavor to it and not waste all the money we spent today. We paid full price for the food, we were not offered a discount for the shells inside my food, but I also did not feel like making a big deal out of it so maybe they would have if I had. Overall the food experience was so so and the waitress was also ok, I do feel like she could of been a little more apologetic about the mistake at the end, but overall she was nice and didn’t make us wait very long. I was unsure if I should rate a 3 or 4 for my experience, but decided on a 4 because overall the experience was fine, but it definitely did not live up the hype.

We loved this place! It was the Cajun food I was looking for. My wife loves hush puppies, and theirs were terrific! The staff was on point and very friendly. Highly recommend this place. They are very popular.

We love this place so much! It's a weekly family tradition. My favorite is the seafood sampler. The steaks are chargrilled and absolutely delicious. Best hushpuppies and onion rings too.

The Stuffed Eggplant w/ Crabmeat was excellent & could have been hotter.. Also the Restaurant was very cold inside, thus cool airflow, may have caused the Lunch Specials to cool quickly.. A friendly cute place but I ordered the wrong thing. My husband loved his fried catfish plate which was little strips of tasty catfish. I had the crawdad stew with a tiny bit of rice. Yuck, flavorless n I guess those tiny lumps were crayfish. Disappointed as all git out. Portions are on the small side.

Ate here with girlfriends on a Friday night. Of note: they don’t take reservations, but the wait was short, about 20 minutes for a table for 4. Food was quite tasty. Loved the crawfish voodoo appetizer. I also had the gumbo which was very good. My friend loved the creamy blackened shrimp pasta. Cocktails were decent. Service was friendly and quick. My only negative for this place is the garish lighting. It’s SO BRIGHT in there. Tone the lights down a bit; it would make the atmosphere so much cozier.

Took hubby there for late lunch Birthday meal. First time at this location. Usually go to Bucktown. We were sitted on a small, glass enclosed patio area. Nice view of trees. There is a wheelchair ramp from the street that goes directly into the patio. Parking can be a problem in this tight area of town. Our waitress was Brittany. She was very attentive and pleasant, and made a great strawberry lemonade. The food is as great at this location as it is at the Bucktown location. I went there on Tuesday 6/6/2023 and I ordered a bowl and a cup of gumbo with the rice on the side and the gumbo was horrible taste like boil water with no seasoning.
