Hands down the absolute best authentic Mexican food in Portland - quite possibly on the west coast. The cart is family owned and ran by Raúl, his wife and children. My friends and I have been coming here almost three times a week for 4 years and have built a lovely relationship with Raúl and his family. Best prices, best food, best location, best people. You won’t be able to eat another burrito after coming and trying Raúl’s “Neza Mex Burrito”.

Dude is dope. Good Mexican food which Portland absolutely does not have. Please don’t come here if you like por que no or chipotle. No offense. This place is so good. And the price is good. Salsa is so bomb too. So glad this place is doing business. May the force be with him and shall he live long and prosper. The pork is the way.

The best Mexican in Portland. I LOVE this place— you have to go to the left of the House of Vintage (if you’re facing it) and down the alley with the mural. It’s an affordable little food cart with nice staff!

Friendly people, delicious food, great price

Everything is always great but the Alambre is my favorite. They’re kind of tucked away behind The Hazel Room and Bar Mame (both also awesome) and hard to see if you don’t know they’re there , but you should make the effort.

I have made this a frequent lunch spot! It’s hard to find if one doesn’t know it exists—I live a couple blocks from here and didn’t notice it. The staff is extremely friendly and the food makes me believe in Portland’s Mexican cuisine once more. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent food--I'm from Tucson, and really picky about Mexican food. This is the best I've had in Portland. The owner is really nice (he offered my dog a little treat of rice, too.) And the prices are a relief! Nice to be able to pay under $10 for a really good meal (and tip) when every other food truck costs $15-20.

It's out of the way of the main street which makes it feel super intimate and very quiet. Tacos are affordable and delicious. It's be around for years and has never disappointed any time I come here. The owner is so sweet and really gets to know his customers. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this truck for anyone that wants to get away from the main street.

The al pastor torta is wonderful! You will not be disappointed. The bread is perfect and everything else matched. They are no longer on the Hawthorne sidewalk but just around the corner in the alley way now.

Neza is a gem. Even now, their food is reasonably priced with super generous portions! The owner is the kindest person ever, even giving my little dog a tasty rice snack if there’s a long wait (which there hardly ever is). Burritos are stuffed full with the perfect balance of rice to veggies to protein, and the salsas are flavorful and pack a punch. Go to Neza!

This spot rocks, I pass by 2 other burrito places (both also very good!) to come here. The prices are great and the quality is top notch. The tortillas are very good and the filling is always delicious and evenly distributed. Love it!

Hidden gem. Asada tacos are perfect!

I never leave reviews, but this place was fire. Got the chicken quesadilla, it was bomb as hell. Fair prices too, unlike most of the bs sold on Hawthorne. Fire.

I just moved to Portland and it took me a few months before I found a Mexican spot I can go to religiously! They’re food is super flavorful and not bland AT ALL they have this yellow hot sauce that taste super lime centric that was AMAZING I had a Veggie Torta and my partner had four Asada tacos all for $16 It was worth all my money I will definitely be buying from here again

We love Neza and the awesome family that runs it. Raoul the proprietor is the best - he has been making custom burritos for our son since he was 3 and each year the burrito keeps growing. Now 7 years later they are almost full size! The soyrizo burritos are amazing and it has been fun seeing their kids grow up over the years. A hawthorne institution and essential part of the neighborhood. We ❤ Neza!

Tasty, high quality food at great prices! Pretty simple menu but it's just right. Good veg options too. I've had the chicken tacos, pork burrito, and my partner has had the veggie tacos and burritos. Looking forward to coming back again.

I live in Salt Lake City, but make a point to come to Neza every time I’m in Portland. There is truly no vegan burrito more delicious than this one. The hot and mild sauces are amazing, and the owner is super friendly. We love you, Neza 🥺💕

The best burritos in Portland. I’ve had the vegan burrito, the simple burrito, the breakfast burrito and the vegan tacos and it’s all delicious. The breakfast burrito is in my top 5 favorite foods of all time (I get it with no sour cream/bacon and add avocado) and the owner and staff are all sooo kind.

Some of the best Mexican food I have had in Portland. The veggie burrito is killer and the price is unbeatable at $5.50. The guy that was running the stand seemed super nice and everything was done pretty quick despite a line in front of us. Definitely stop by

This little food truck has the best burritos in Portland imo. And the owner is always super cool, as well as the young lady i assume is his daughter, nice people. So no need looking elsewhere for my Mexican fix. My wife agrees, Neza is OUR go to for burritos and tacos.

I am in love with this taco truck, you guys. The guy running it is super friendly and makes such good food. From burritos to tacos to tortas, they're all delicious and he has vegitarian options too! If you want great authentic Mexican food and flavors come see this guy!
