I exclusively come here for their gryos. I don't know what they do, but these are by far the best gyros I've ever had. They are overstuffed and have the best tzatziki I have ever had.

The Philly cheese steak was great, they actually use shaved steak 😋👍🏾

Some times they're awesome... food is delicious....i especially like rib tips... when they're done right... they are lip smacking...and other times... and other times you smacking out of frustration... cause the meet ain't chopped up... like now... this pizza im eating... taste like they cooked it yesterday... and put it in the microwave today... gross

I always get a turkey burger with cheese and pickles with fries .I go to the one right off 63rd and Damen depending on who takes your order some are not always polite when they greet u ,I always speak and ask them how they are doing and have left tips but if the person is cold I won't leave a tip. The men who cook your food are nice and they work at both locations on 79th and Ashland. I have no pictures the restaurant is always clean.

Two tacos $9.00 and sour cream is $1.50 extra...In better areas you get this cheaper with sauce included his prices too high for the hood

This restaurant used to be really good. The food I paid for was tasteless and I didn’t even have Covid. It was not worth the $40 I had to kick. Prices hand up but the quality of the food has gone way down. 2.5 stars the fries were the only good food we ordered. The customer service wasn’t good either.

Food just too order an Italian beef and a cheeseburger with fries and a can pop almost 35 dollars

I ordered Italian beef. Dip heavy dip, sweet peppers and dip sauce on the side. Well, I gotta tell you the truth. Light dip gardinera on the side. No sweet peppers.

I drive way from Riverdale for a sub. But this was my last time. They now charge you to use your debit card. They sell 1 Liter sodas that expire March 25th for $3.50 and charge $1.25 for lite jalapeños. Lost a customer forever

Whoever is working feb 29 2024 at 3:30-3:40 answering calls is extremely unprofessional. I called and politely asked for a general manager she said there was none at the moment but that his name was Nick. I was about to ask a question and she hung up (i was NOT put on hold) i called back and let her know i was in the middle of saying something and she interrupted to say “i told you to wait like 5 times and put you on hold” i told her “i was never put on hold” and before i could say anything else she hung up again. I just wanted to know if they are hiring. The lady is black, not sure of the name but clearly she needs more training before being in charge of taking orders or answering the phone.

I usually order ahead, and my food is ready, or l have a short wait. I love their chicken salad.

Listen, I grew up eating at Nicks…. They almost never miss with the food… I’ve been eating here since I was about 8yrs when they were across the street by the liquor store… I’m now 40…but, what has changed are the cashiers… mannnnnn they have one cashier she is the rudest “mofo” in there… I’m pretty sure other people are familiar with her too… he may stick her somewhere else… cause she is not the 1st face you want to see when going in there… she’s not helpful at all… so for anyone new visiting Nicks on 63rd… I’ll just say…I hope you don’t get her as your cashier… cause she will definitely give you that “I’m going to yeah yeah this girl” but other than that Nicks… great job over the years!

Overpriced for the amount and quality of the Italian beef I ordered. This was the cleanest restaurant I've seen in a long time. My daughter swears by this place and has been going there for years. I used to frequent Nick's when it was across the street from their current location when I lived in the area more than thirty years ago. I will go back!!!!!

I got 2 Super Jim Shoes they came with fries that were half cooked when I called I was told to keep them until I came back. $25 + and that's your Idea of compensation. What about taking my name and giving me replacement fries on my next trip there? Wow no customer appreciation at all.

The food is TERRIBLE I ordered hot wings and they're mixed with barbecue sauce and smells sooo BAD I ordered chicken sandwich and they Sent me fried chicken without any vegetable this was the first and last time in my life.

I had the Buffalo wings and they were so delicious. I had a few other sandwiches from here and the quality of food was always good to me. I have no problem ordering from here for lunch or late night food.

Order the wing special for 6.99, it was terrible, no meat on the wings, they were so small, it was only bone 🤔🤔

Ordered closed to closing time, we ordered two Italian Beef. In the app it doesn't let you add the peppers or cheese. We called and the person who answered was great and let us add to it. Honestly I was ready to cancel because I realized I ordered from the wrong restaurant and wanted a different one. But I'm so glad I didn't! The Italian Beef were delicious!!! Definitely one of my favorites, I will be ordering from here again.

I had a chicken Philly cheesesteak from here today!! OMG BOMB it had flavor. It was hot and fresh ! The cooks did amazing job Thank you. my daughter had a Philly cheesesteak. She enjoyed hers as well ! I’m ordering me another one tomorrow :)

Food is good in my opinion. But the prices are kinda crazy. Make sure you ask for fries with your order because that’s extra for some reason

Just had $15 gyro everything w/ fries and soda from Nicks on Damen. The sandwich was good but very small for a $15 sandwich. There was no lettuce or tomato just onions cucumber sauce and the peppers I paid extra for. Likely won’t return or will give Baha’s across the street a chance.

Solid Chicago fair. Worth a stop if you're nearby

This is a hood staple sort of speak. I love their gyros & their sub sandwiches are the bomb. This place is a hookup for late night eating.

First of all, the food is always good at Nick's!!! The staff could be a little more friendly and they definitely need to invest in security!

They are alright...I recommend you go in to their restaurant to get your food, that way you can make sure it is prepared properly. If you get it delivered, you will be disappointed.

This restaurant as many others accept EBT purchases. Why are they charging ppl and extra 2.22 for a cooking fee. No other EBT accepted restaurant is charging this fee.

The food is uncooked fries are dry

This was my first time trying them and it was worth it. Everything was super fresh and very very good. I ordered the rip tip meal with fries. They give you a even amount of both ribs and fries. It was delicious. I will definitely be ordering again

Muy buena la comida, y todo está agradable. Y muy amables los empleados. Pero el peor detalle es q está tan caro porque una hamburguesa casi $10 y una pizza de queso mediana casi $15 wow es ridículamente caro y toda la comida igual. Y lo más absurdo q no te incluyen las papas fritas, por $10 dólares deberían.

Just came from Nicks Gyros, I ordered a 6 chicken wing dinner and a gyro with no fries. The gyro was dry and the chicken wings were so small they look like they came off a pigeon. I will not visit place again

They have joined everyone else and raised their prices through the roof. I got 2 gyro cheese burgers and 1 large order of fries and the price was $25+. Their food isn't good enough to justify those prices. It's places closer to my house that have better food that's cheaper. I bet I won't come here ever again.

The garlic butter fries are to die☠ for👻. You must like, love, or be a fan of garlic. I couldn't finish my gyro because of the abundance of fries, which I absolutely loved. I wish I had their specific recipe. Instead they'll make a fortune💵 off of me. By the way, the gyro was great too. A lot of meat🌮 for one sandwich which I have no complaints👏🏾. A loyal customer for life👌🏾.

Nick's NEVER disappoints. Food is always delicious, portions are never lacking, and staff is very pleasant and engaging.

Been going to Nick's since I was a kid when it was smaller across the street. I always get the super taco meal which is good but it's very costly $12....even with just the taco its alot.

Very clean place. Had a couple dogs. The buns were kinda hard. Would be better with steamed buns. The fries were good. Not like the old Parisi's from a few miles west fries but just ok.

Okay food, but not a very good area

Some good food but the Gym/Jim shoe was great except 1 of the meats was chewy and the other meat was tough in some parts then normal in other parts. Waited over 35 minutes for a 25 minute order. Fries were okay. No bathroom use.

Alot has changed. All of the cooks and servers are different. I waited 25 minutes for my food. The food is not as good as it used to be. The fries wasn't edible, the meat was good and the pita was (raw) cold not cooked. I think there's hope but I will not go back.

So while in Chi Town I asked for the food spot and the cousins insisted I eat here🤔 and all I can say is this place is lotto for the foodie!!!! All I can say is " This place is Boys town for the gay baby, Deer country for the hunter and a heavenly first meal to the newly released detainee!!!

Pizza puff to die for, So being a Cleveland native and having to visit Chicago. I was introduce to NICKS GYRO. And since then I travel to this spot every time I visit . The pace is normal and makes sure the food is cooked throughout perfectly . The different types of food ranges so there something for everybody Don’t wait . I would drive the 6 hours any day to get the food from here

Can't beat the $3 Gyros they got going on now...they are good...I been going to Nick's since I was a little girl & definitely has changed food is good when I do go but since I don't live that way I don't go much.

The food here is pretty good! It's your basic takeout stop with burgers and hotdogs etc etc! Customer service is usually great!

The first time I had it and it won't be my last. I had an Italian beef sandwich, I should have told them not to dip my bun into the juices. But that was on me, I just wish they did better at adding the lemon pepper on my fries most of my fries were plain. But there is always room for improvement. I will till be back for more food and to enjoy other items on the menu.

This place is amazing. The chicken sandwhich is super super delicious.it is not greasy and does not leave your hands all sticky after eating like at other places. The cashier was amazing. She was super cool and really nice. Always had a smile and was pleased to be helping us out. I will definitely be back for more.

They have meal specials. They're fast and friendly. Great restaurant in the Englewood neighborhood to dine in or get it to go. Most of Chicago Police Officers eat here. It saves you time if you call ahead to place your order. Good value.
