My favorite restaurant in Lakeland. I personally think they have the BEST tasting food here💕

We always have an amazing experience at Nineteen61. It's one of our favorite places to go for casual dining. This time we celebrated our anniversary and they made our menu all customized ! We appreciate the great detail and service. The food is always spot on and I can't recommend it enough. If you're planning to visit, I always make a reservation just to be safe because it's always busy for dinner. Overall, this restaurant is a Gem in Lakeland and you should visit!

Enjoyed our first experience to Nineteen61’s Rooftop. It was still too warm to go outside on the rooftop during our visit. However, the ambiance inside was nice. Good music and good vibes. It has an upscale feel to it. The food was good, but It is definitely an acquired taste. So don’t go there hungry. The rooftop space is more for enjoying drinks and conversation. The downstairs area is where you would get your dinner.

The only problem was we waited a while for the food. But everything else was amazing. The food, services, and all the workers were happy and helpful.

Hello, Please don't insult the Peruvian gastronomic, or maybe you can put Arroz con Pollo in Google and see if looks anything like what you sell. Teach your chef to cook authentic food from the native country. Other than that, customer service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean.

We had a good time, but I think our order got ignored/ took about 45 minutes between our appetizer and actual meal towards the end of the night… plus we got seated about 15 -20 after our reservation. Overall still a great time and would come again just disappointed

Nineteen61 is my favorite place to eat in Lakeland and its reputation is beyond well earned! It is my husband's and I my go-to spot for any celebration in town and Lakeland's best restaurant for special occasions; its Latin vibe and beautiful ambiance add so much character and fun to the downtown area. Every time we have visited, we are always blown away by the beautiful atmosphere, top-notch service, and above all the FOOD. On our most recent trip, I tried the Pulpo 61, 1961 Salad, and Pollo a la Brasa. Everything, especially the pollo, was incredible! Not pictured are the oustanding entrées we've had on other visits, including the Arroz Chaufa, Chipotle Salmon, and Market Whole Grilled Fish (they had a snapper one night a few months back that I am still thinking about!). In addition to their delicious cuisine, the cocktail list is also impeccable and they make some of the best drinks in downtown Lakeland that are equal parts fun and delicious.

This is the best place. Everything the chef put out was just divine. It was just heavenly. I would recommend 10 out 10 !!

Great food, staff, and atmosphere

The lamb shank was exquisite, salad with added meat was on point! Try the lamb 100%, the rice that comes with it was also delicious.

Angel and Joe are superb! Anytime you’re at Basco, ask for them! Angel was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me find the perfect drink. She was personable and made our group feel so welcome.

Incredible experience. Fine latin dining at its best in downtown Lakeland. This was a surprise birthday lunch from my hubby, and it was spot on. This Peruvian and Cuban infuse cuisine Restaurant most be in everyone itinerary when visiting Downtown Lakeland From the minute we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, and host Paloma was warm and welcoming. She coordinated the making of birthday card, and the menu was printed with birthday wishes, which was a nice detail. Our waiter, Zach, was a delight. Very knowledgeable and suggestions elevated that much more the experience. Recommendation Brussels sprouts Calamari Open face chicken sandwich Lomo Saltado Black bean ( the best my husband & I ever eaten), these beans were so good I would not mind eating every day. Spicy margarita Tres Leche cake is a most!!! ****Thank you, Chef & Staff from Nineteen61 for a lovely birthday dining experience**** We will be visiting soon.

The food itself was exquisite, a true testament to the culinary prowess of the kitchen staff. However, it was Tammy’s exceptional service that elevated our dining experience to another level. She was professional, personable, and genuinely passionate about providing an outstanding experience for her guests. In a world where excellent service can be hard to come by, Tammy truly stands out. I highly recommend restaurant 1961, and be sure to ask for Tammy if you want your evening to be unforgettable.

This place is everything!! We celebrated our anniversary there and they gave us a signed card as well as personalizing the top of the menu with our names! Zach was the best server I’ve ever had and super knowledgeable. All of these incredible things aside, the food is insane. Even if they didn’t have the incredible service and someone kicked me in the shins while I ate, I would still come back because the food is perfect. Order the Peruvian ceviche and the Cubano poutine.

SPECTACULAR ! Food preparation is outstanding ! Flavors literally "explode" in your mouth ! Everything is outstanding. Waiter Tim, excellent. He explained food preparation. Paella & Vaca Friday were excellent, as was tres leches.

This was my first time and won’t be the last time dining at this establishment. Joe was a phenomenal waiter. He was attentive to our needs. Everything he suggested was delicious. Thank you so much Joe! Hopefully on our next visit we can have you again. Going to definitely stop in on a Tuesday and go upstairs. *wink wink*

Legitimately amazing. Service was phenomenal, luckily we got there when we did because we got the last two seats at the bar. Bartender was so nice and attentive despite being super busy. Everything we ordered was delicious. I’m Cuban and lemme tell you this was like being at family dinner again. Perfect way to wrap up my last night visiting Lakeland. I left with a full tummy and happy vibes. Croquetas were phenomenal, cafecito was on point, mojo was exactly how I like it and I left garlicky enough to kill a vampire. I will be back for sure next time I visit. Muchisimas gracias!

Nineteen61 is a gem located in downtown Lakeland. This place has an amazing atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and efficient. We visited for lunch and the service was amazing. The front of house staff were able to get us a table for our party (4 adults and 2 kids). They welcomed us like we were regulars. The service is efficient and kind. We could see the chef at the expo station making sure all dishes were perfect prior to leaving the kitchen. Our food was exquisite! The seasoning was perfect. The chicken, beef and pork were all cooked to perfection and the combination of classic Cuban dishes with a modern twist sets them apart from the competition. The house old fashioned was made with love and craftsmanship. The macho margarita was the perfect blend of spicy and savory. The deserts were all great but the key-lime pie stands above the rest. I highly recommend Nieteen61 and will return again.

Eat here. You won’t regret it. In a world where dietary restrictions can often pose challenges, Nineteen61 sets a remarkable example of how exceptional service and culinary expertise can create a truly inclusive and delicious gluten free dining experience. I may not recall all the staff members' names, but I would like to commend Tamaria at the front of the house for her patience in answering my questions and putting my mind at ease when I called to make a reservation, and our waiter Tim for his professionalism and wit which certainly added to the enjoyment of the evening out with old friends. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service there was phenomenal absolutely fantastic, atmosphere was very good. Food was amazing ,Very very good. Prices were very reasonable very clean. Very well run definitely recommend. apologies on the photos of the food. I never thought about taking them until after we started eating.

The food, service and general ambiance is great.

One of the best Latin restaurants I have been to in or near Orlando. Delicious. Upscale, but reasonable prices and portions that far outclasses what you will find in other places. Recommend the vaca frita (though it should be more crispy and charred) and the masitas de puerco. Their croquettas different, but very good. Really happy with this place, will return and hopefully often.

We celebrated our 29th anniversary here, and enjoyed every aspect of our dinner. We were a little early, so we were invited to get drinks at the rooftop bar, which we did. Waitstaff, drinks, and the appetizer we shared were terrific. When it was time for our reservation, we went downstairs and were seated promptly. Our server, Zack, was, as the manager described, a treat. Attentive, warm, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful ...just a delight overall. He really enhanced our dining experience. The personalized menu was a nice touch, and we enjoyed the complimentary champagne that arrived shortly after we were seated. The ceviche was fresh, zippy, and delicious, and the suggested plantain chips went with it beautifully. Great for scooping, and added a nice crunch. We split a 1961 salad, which is one of my favorites, and, as usual, was fresh and flavorful. My grouper saltado had a flavorful sauce, and the grouper was tender and well cooked. I enjoyed the chaufa that accompanied it as well. Gray's pork shoulder was equally tender, and delicious. We also enjoyed the dessert we shared, which was like a chocolate mousse cake, but, sadly, I cannot recall its name. I prefer a booth, but we were seated at a table, however, the seats were super comfortable, so I didn't mind. Overall, a wonderful experience for our special occasion. We'll be sure to return.

Wow! What a great place! I had the Delmonico Ribeye and it was great. On par with Bavettes in Chicago, SW in Las Vegas, Eddie V's in Plano and Joe Allen's in Abilene Texas. Yoany was my waitress and she was awesome. Prices were good compared to other high end steak houses and well worth. Highly recommended!

Though all I can give is 5stars I'd give 10 if I could. This is the best service I've ever received! EVER! We arrived promptly at 6:30 for a reservation that they were so sweet to reschedule from 9pm. We were seated within 5 minutes and in that time had great conversation with the hostesses. The hostesses were friendly and welcoming and all around great attitude and beautiful personalities. We were seated and Daniel was our server. Daniel was attentive and knew the menu very well. I truly mean top notch service. We started out with drinks. I got a beautiful cocktail and my partner got a glass of Chardonnay. Next came our appetizer of Pulpo61.... This was the most exquisitely delicious octopus I've ever had! The execution of this plate was Michelin star worthy! Kalamata caramelThe slight brininess of the olives and the sweet nutty caramel flavor was like the chef was enhancing the natural flavors of the ocean! Spectacular! For my entree I chose the Vaca frita.... This meal was literally Cuba on a plate! It was elevated just enough but still held its humbleness of a good solid comfort meal. My partner got the filet mignon with risotto. The steak was so tender and delicious. They were able to get a beautiful sear yet while maintaining its succulent juiciness! The risotto was the best I've ever had! Not one undercooked grain. Thank you for only sending out exceptional food! Lastly was the Grand Marnier crème brûlée. Hands down best I've ever had! The hint of orange from the liquor to crème brûlée to a new exciting level! To the customer service.... every staff member provided exceptional service regardless if they were our server. No dirty plate remained on our table for more than 1 min!!!! No dirty silverware!!! From the bottom of my heart this dinning experience truly touched my heart! The attention to detail that you all took to make this night special left me speechless. It's been a hard year after a scary diagnosis and your actions meant so much! In all my years I've never had a restaurant print my name on a menu, create me a card and put my dessert on the house! Thank you Nineteen61 and staff.

This restaurant was incredible! We had the empanadas and croquetas for starters and for lunch we had the arroz con pollo and bistec sandwich. Everything was delicious and well seasoned! The star of the show was Niel! His hospitality and attention are unmatched. Such a pleasant vibe he brings to the restaurant. The owner was also there and was incredibly attentive and nice! He even gave us a tour of the rooftop. Such a great experience. Would recommend 10/10!!

The best spot for Latin food or for a date night in Lakeland. If you want a great server make sure you ask for Jordan! He was very attentive, friendly, and had a great knowledge of the menu.

We all went there this afternoon after my nephew's wedding. The detail of there name on the menu was a wonderful surprise. The food, the service, the drinks, management and hospitality was exceptional. I loved everything. Thank you nineteen61!!

Absolutely amazing experience. We came for our first time to celebrate a birthday, and were immediately greeted with a signed birthday card from all of the employees and glasses of champagne! Drinks were great, and the food was absolutely incredible. I got the pork shank steak and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best pork I have ever had in my life. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was perfect. Can’t recommend this place enough! Will certainly be coming back.

Great date night or date, the spot we always sit at the bar. I have sat outside once with my mom. We love downtown and the food / drinks, and employees are always fantastic. The Empanadas are the best around.

We popped in to check out the new rooftop bar, Vasco, and it did not disappoint. It’s part indoor and part outdoors. The outdoor area was equipped with many fans and umbrellas for the Florida heat. We had the Paloma, smoked old fashioned and I forget the name but it’s a new cocktail with lavender and rose (featured in the video) which was a lot of fun AND tasty! We also had the special which was a kimchi slider with fries, which was also amazing! Love this new spot!

Any time I'm in town, I have to stop in and enjoy this restaurant, and every single time it exceeds my expectations. From the brunch options till the night menu, the food, service and atmosphere are top notch. For a super fun time, I highly recommend you sit at the bar with Brian and enjoy the sensational service, food and custom drinks. Overall a 10/10 place!!

Really good food, great waitress (Clarissa I think it was. If not, my apologies). Peruvian ceviche was just like in Peru and very fresh. The shrimp and grits were full of flavor, like they were made with love by someone who cared. Much, much better than anywhere else. The beans accompanying the vaca frita were scrumptious. I like that the kitchen was visible and that the toilets were clean and well decorated. They even managed to find us umbrellas when the downpour wouldn't stop. They are pricey and I would prefer a portable machine so that they don't have to walk away with my credit card.

As always food was amazing and our server Daniel knocked it out of the park!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch after the Farmers Market and we are so happy we did! The service was top notch from start to finish and the food....SPECTACULAR!! Everything we had was beautifully flavored and cooked to absolute perfection. We don't eat out often because we usually end up disappointed, but after yesterdays experience at 1961 we can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu!

I had the great pleasure to go celebrate my birthday yesterday at Nineteen 61, and it was the most wonderful place and experience I've had in a while. Our waiter, Zack, was so professional and so knowledgeable about the plates and the restaurant. His desire to serve us with excellence was so incredible. He made my night unforgettable and exceedingly special. I wish every waiter would learn from him in the way he serviced with excellence, passion, and professionalism. Food and service were fantastic!

Loooooove the Bourbon selection. The signature salad is really good. Our waiter, (although very nice), could barely speak much English, so it was a tad bit hard understanding anything he said. But he was super nice! We were never told what the 'spwxial' of the day was, as the waiter that was serving the table next to us offered. The calamari was caked) heavily layered batter- which I asked our waiter for lite batter. The seafood dish I ordered,(paella?), had a huge amount of salt, & a huge amount of rice, with not much actual seafood. The scallops were Awesome. The Lobster, very tough. The shrimp, were fine. My wife's lamb shank, was super dry. And ALL the food was Soooo salty. But the wine & bourbons were good.

We recently dined at Nineteen61 and overall had a good time. The food was amazing—I highly recommend the scallop appetizer and the pollo a la brasa main course. However, we did encounter a few service issues. First, we arrived early and checked in for our reservation, being told they would call us at our reservation time. When our time had passed, I checked in with the host again and discovered that we hadn't been checked in correctly. Thankfully, they were able to seat us right away. The second issue arose when we had to remind the waiter about our drink order, which he had forgotten to put in. While we received our drinks promptly after the reminder, it was still a minor inconvenience. Lastly, we noticed that one of our forks had some sort of crusted debris on it. We didn't bring this to the waiter's attention since we had two forks, but it did detract from the overall experience. For a restaurant that charges for an upscale experience, the service did not match the price, although the food certainly did. Overall, we had a good time, but we probably wouldn't return.

Came here for a birthday and the place is amazing! Appetizers are delicious, the entrees are full plates and filling meals. It is not extremely expensive but be prepared to spend some money! The strawberry margarita was amazing! And so was the tres leches cake. My entire was great!

Phenomenal food, service, and presentation! Love love loved everything we tried..from the scallops (freshest!!! Starter), to lamb shank (filling and tasty) to burger (amazing and tasty)…just amazing! And delicious tres leches dessert!!

A beautiful restaurant with delicious food

I made reservations for my twin daughters’ graduation. We arrived and they knew who we were and our table was ready. They had menus printed that said “Congratulations” and also cards signed by the staff, recognizing my daughter’s accomplishments. My daughters loved this so much. I cannot begin to explain how much they loved the cards and menus. Their reactions were priceless. Alec was our server and he never missed a beat. Our drinks remained full, his knowledge of the menu was exactly what was needed to order the right dishes and his recommendations for desserts and cafe con leche were on point. The overall experience from start to finish was so much more than I expected. Hands down the right choice and we will be regulars moving forward.

Amazing service for me and my family! Even while the restaurant busy, we were seated quickly by the staff. The atmosphere was fantastic, there was even a small window to the kitchen, giving an impressive view to the chef’s work. The waiters and waitresses were absolutely lovely and prompt while serving, they were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be engaging and kind. If this restaurant is within your budget, I would highly recommend visiting!

I have been here many times and it’s just not what it used to be.

High end food with a latin flare. The options are not your typical rice and beans, but rather more popular dishes that are given hints of latin flavor. Favorite dish was the brussel sprouts, and i ended up eating the poutine Cubano with a garbanzo soup. All the food was tasty, and i reccomend coming here for a special night as Munn Park is pleasant to walk around after a meal. The tres leches can use a little work, it was more like a pound cake than a sponge cake.

We went for brunch celebrating Mother’s Day. The quality of the food items on the brunch menu were outstanding. The service and atmosphere is unmatchable. I love Nineteen61

Do not go here on Holiday’s! My wife and I have been here twice and the food was amazing. We bragged about the food to my Mother In-law and she has been dying to try the food. Well today on Mother’s Day my wife made reservations for 6 and we were looking forward to great Latin food and my Mother In-law was excited. We sat down to eat and it turned out to be a buffet and that wasn’t bad, but the menu was rice, prime rib, salmon, fried chicken, Chicken Frances, mashed potatoes, green beans and salad. WHERE IS THE LATIN FOOD? This was a big disappointment to all of us. Not only were we disappointed there was no Latin food, but the food was tasteless, especially for the price of $75per adult, and $35 for children 12 and under. They also had the nerve to charge extra for fountain drinks. That wasn’t the end of it. Imagine going through this and bragging about a place to a Latin woman in her 80’s and she ends up eating this food. What do you think the car ride home was like? Who ever had this hair brain idea to serve the cheapest food possible in a restaurant like Nineteen 61 needs to have their head examined. We could’ve went to Golden Coral and probably would’ve had a better meal.

DO not come on holidays. We went for mother’s day buffet and we were severely disappointed in the food. We expected the normal menu buffet but instead got generalized american food without specialized entrees with no taste. Not only that the buffet is 75$ an adult while charging EXTRA for sodas. I recommend coming on normal non-holidays.

We took our son to Nineteen 61 for his birthday. Madison was our server, and we want to give special thanks to her for her assistance throughout the meal. Our son is gluten-, egg-, and dairy-intolerant, and she knew which menu items were safe and which were problematic. She was also very helpful with menu choices for the rest of us - cheerful, friendly, informative, while remaining professional. We started with some appetizers: I enjoyed the Pulpo 61 - octopus served in a great complementary sauce with fingerling potato slices. The others had the Brussels sprouts (tossed in maple balsamic vinaigrette, and topped with raisin caramel and manchego cheese), and the Chips with avocado mousse & tomatillo salsa (excellent). We all enjoyed the appetizers and then moved on to the main courses. I had one of the day's specials - a New York Strip steak, "gaucho style". Wonderfully flavorful and nicely seasoned, it was a large steak (no bone), so my son wound up taking half home for his dinner the next night. I also had a small "1961 salad" which was a very nice salad with cheeses (manchego and baby swiss), manzanilla olives, and the signature house dressing (like a slightly thicker vinaigrette). Two of our party had the Seabass Chimi - wood grilled with house chimichurri plus caribbean sweet potatoes). They loved the texture and flavor of the fish (and the potatoes). One had the Churrasco steak - a marinated flat iron steak with sides. All our meals came with one or two sides, and there was more than enough food for everyone. The restaurant had no desserts that were gluten-, egg-, and dairy-free (no surprise there!). We had checked the previous day, so we earlier went to Mimi's and got some great ice creams (yes - gluten-, egg-, and dairy-free ice creams - delicious). So - unfortunately, we skipped dessert at Nineteen 61 and went back to our hotel for a birthday dessert party. Overall - a great experience at the restaurant, and another shout-out to our server, Madison, who really made this an exceptional experience.

How did we get here? I wanted to eat Sushi. It happens that it was close on Monday. This nice lady who also wanted to eat sushi recommended that we stop by Nineteen Sixty One. We did. We were greeted with a beautiful smile and were seated in comfortable area. Dave was extremely professional and recommended to us his favorite drinks and food choices. He was on point. I observed the Chefs. This team were a coordinated cooking ballet. Well coordinated and each plate was a delicious plate. Extremely please. My wife said " Food was exquisite" Ask for Dave.

A wonderful slice of Latin American cuisine in the heart of Lakeland

If you are in Lakeland or any surrounding area - this is a MUST TRY! The atmosphere and staff, the menu selections, and bar list are the best offerings around. Our group had the ceviche and the special 36 hour Mole and were blown away. Perfectly served and enjoyed! The drive from Tampa is always worth it!

We went for our anniversary and the staff was wonderful. Very nice atmosphere and very welcoming. They even presented us with a card and personalized menu for our anniversary. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection! We will definitely go back.

I was wowed from the moment I sat down!!! The food was superb. Salmon cooked to perfection at the chef's temperature. At the end of the meal, I was presented with a Congratulations card because I am graduating with an MBA today. Customer Service & a keen eye for details to the max. The customer service, superb cuisine, and lovely atmosphere wowed me.

The food is outstanding. The service was friendly and prompt and were able to accommodate allergies and requests. The atmosphere is also really enjoyable. I'll be dining there again.

I usually don't leave reviews but last night was truly amazing. We went to celebrate my Birthday and they made the day and experience 10/10. Down to my name on the menu, personalized birthday card from the staff. Little details like that makes you want to continue going. The food was incredible, Zack’s knowledge of the Menu and his vibe just tied the whole dining experience. I will be recommending to everyone I know and we will be back for more.

Amazing atmosphere, I would say, a must if you’re visiting Lakeland and necessary if you’re living there looking to make friends. The food is great, full bar, good service, the staff knows and understands their menu perfectly, ask for Meadow. Also their appetizers are gourmet. A little pricey compared with the Lakeland standard but good.

Excellent food. Had the Ropa vieja and it was amazingly delicious. Matt gave us great service. All of the staff was attentive. Great variety of choices on the menu. A wee bit loud environment but it got quieter as the evening progressed past 8:30. I highly recommend going.

What a find! Today I needed to take my mother for an xray and wanted to find a nice lunch spot to spoil her a little. So I did a quick dive online to find something in Lakeland. Wow! What a wonderful experience and I definitely did not expect what I found. Service, ambience, food and beverage were fantastic. As someone who’s been working in the restaurant industry for going on 30 years, I fully appreciate the efforts that have gone into this project. Kudos! Thank you, Meadow for the hospitality.

Food was all decent except the chevche which tasted off. Had good service. Kind of like their old location better. I do believe I got severe food poisoning from here. Can't be 100% sure, but 99%, I ate at home for lunch. It was so bad I was really sick for 3 days after eating here, and months later my stomach issues are still ongoing. Edit: I just wanted to add to this since the owner did. They had multiple food safety violations when I got sick and they still do! Watch out! Tried to say my kitchen was probably dirty, certainly don't want to eat in his again.

Phenomenal service, quality, and experience. The team at Nineteen61 made our celebration and date night incredibly special. We cannot wait to return—it was so good we didn’t want to leave!

A little disappointed last night. Brought friends for their first time there. Food was on point as always. Service was off. Took longer than normal to get drinks and main course.

I had a truly unforgettable culinary experience. The pulpo61 was cooked to perfection, remarkably tender and full of flavor with each bite. I paired it with their signature side salad and elevated my meal creating a balance of textures and flavors. Having tried pulpo dishes at various restaurants, I can confidently say none have come close to matching Nineteen61’s pulpo dishes.

Came here to celebrate a friend’s Birthday dinner and we couldn’t have had a better experience. First, they personalized the menu for the birthday girl and the whole restaurant signed a personalized card for her. They gave us all complimentary champagne and dessert too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as well. The food and drink were delicious. Overall great experience and would highly recommend to those visiting Lakeland

Enjoyed 1961 catering at the Sun n Fun Airshow. If they can present such a nice buffet off site, we look forward to dining at the restaurant itself! The servers were all so pleasant, courteous and accommodating. Thank you!!

What happens when you’re at an event in Florida (#SunNFun) and a man walks up to your booth and asks about your nonprofit, and you notice he has an embroidered logo on his polo that says NINETEEN61, so you ask him about it? You learn about the best kept secret in Lakeland (Minnesota Park). And you enjoy the most delicious meal, service, hibiscus 🌺 tea, desserts and appetizers EVER! Peruvian Ceviche? Yes please! Vegetales Saltadas? Absolutely! Empanadas? Por supuesto!! Everything from walking through the doors, the greeting, the hosts, the table seating and the atmosphere was a solid five stars ⭐️ out of five! And this is why we love to “talk to strangers” when we travel- we learn about little gems like this along the way! #PearlsWithPurpose team had happy bellies tonight thanks to NINETEEN61

This place is an example of what... 100% is. Only perfection from beginning to end. Pisco Sour a must.

First time at this Restaurant! Wow, the Atmosphere was amazing and the Hostesses were so nice and professional! It was my mom’s birthday, I came in from Atlanta to spend it with her! Everything was seemingly going well until we met the Server (B)!! I understand in the service industry, we get tired and frustrated and even uninterested, but we should never let that energy shine through! This guy, Mr. B, had to be ready to leave for the night! It was late and they were closing at 9 PM, but this attitude and the rush and the breathing hard and we seen all of the faces guy were making! It started off when he said something, I thought he said, what was the occasion, I said her birthday- He responded, that’s not what I said to you, I asked if you were from here! I then looked up at him and said, Ohh my apologies, I didn’t hear you, but it was the way he said it! He was really coming off as rude to the point I was ready to leave. Not even making eye contact with us at times when we were trying to order! We were asking questions about the food and choices, he just seemed like he didn’t care! And Yes he had the sound, Yes my friend, Ohh No problem, but you could tell it was fake at this point! He rushed us to order, forgot our drank order. Called him back over, I ordered, my mom at that point said, she will just keep the water! Food came out, my mom and her husband didn’t like the taste of the soup! Hers was to salty and no seasoning, he pretty much just snatched it up, didn’t ask her if she wanted anything else! At this time Madison the MOD came over to ask if everything was ok! I’m assuming she saw our faces! I let her know it’s not the best experience bc this guy seems more interested in his other tables and maybe just wanted us to leave! She apologized and brought my mom out a salad! I guess she mentioned something to him, he came back with a little different attitude! I changed my order at the last minute, I didn’t want the salad, I wanted something else, he said he would check! I guess he forgot the kitchen is covered by glass and I saw everything he said out of his mouth to the cooks! These customers this, these customers that, changing at the last minute, then he steps back into the dinning room and puts that fake smile back on his face! It was just Not a good first time experience! I hope everyone else doesn’t get this same type treatment from B! On another note, the Chipotle Salmon was Amazing !! That did help that the food was really good! Ok, I’m done!
