Didn't really want to review this place cause I don't like sharing my gems haha

First time dinning here. Me and wife really enjoyed the experience! Amazing food and even better service! Will be returning! Well worth the drive to eat here! Ravioli was melt in your mouth and the flan was creamy and delicious!

Scarpa came highly recommended to us by a friend and I cannot be happier that they sent us here! We came for our wedding night dinner with our son, and from the moment we sat down we felt welcomed and impressed. The service was top notch, and the food was far beyond our expectations! We started our meal with the prosciutto wrapped shrimp and if I could’ve bathed in the garlic butter sauce I would have. Our son is a self proclaimed “meatball expert” and couldn’t say enough good things about his meatballs, pasta and sauce. I got the veal parm, which delivered tender veal filets and the most delicious red sauce I’ve had in forever. My wife got the special, the Chicken Sicilian, and it’s all she’s talked about since. We finished our meal with a perfect tiramisu. I never EVER leave Google reviews, but everything was so perfect I just had to. Our son has already requested this for his birthday dinner next year. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I have been here numerous times, usually anniversary or birthdays Yes we both have the same birthday, Food is amazing, service is great, YES it's a bit small inside but very intimate, over all a very nice place to eat, We will probably be coming again in July for our birthdays again..see ya soon

I enjoyed this place , I recommend making reservations the establishment was not big at all , it got a little loud at one point it it was not terrible, very small tables as well but amazing amazing service, our waitress was sooooo nice and attentive. We ordered The manicotti 4/5 ( meatball texture was a little strange) Penne pollo 5/5 Blackened grouper with fresh fettuccine noodles 5/5 The bruschetta 3/5 Crème brûlée 3/5 ( flavor was more subtle and the top layer wasn’t as hard as I would have liked but still good ) I asked for a sweet wine & it was amazing I believe it was moscato 5/5 I would definitely visit again.

This is some seriously fine cuisine. I had the chicken parm and will certainly be back for more. I love chicken parm and am quite picky, this place is in my top five of all time best chicken parm beating out all but one spot in Little Italy NYC.

My husband and I have been loyal customers of Scarpa's for over seven years, but we have been extremely disappointed with the decline in the restaurant's atmosphere over the past few visits. The experience has become far from enjoyable due to the constant loud and obnoxious behavior of some of the customers and the lack of attention from the staff. The restaurant used to be known for its exquisite food and wine, but now it seems to have turned into a party spot for rowdy individuals. The staff's inability to control the situation and their lack of concern for our discomfort was unacceptable, especially considering the amount of money we spent during our last visit. Furthermore, while waiting to be seated, we noticed that the hostess was more focused on taking online orders than attending to customers waiting in-person. This lack of prioritization is concerning and shows a decline in the quality of service. To make matters worse, I woke up in the middle of the night with excruciating stomach pain and vomiting after eating at Scarpa's, which makes me question the restaurant's food safety standards. If Scarpa's wants to maintain its reputation as a fine dining establishment, they need to address these issues promptly. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a quiet, elegant evening out.

Great dinner. Very nice atmosphere. Great service. Had the linguine with meat sauce. My mom had clams. Both were amazing.

Service and atmosphere were fine. I've never been more disappointed at a high rated Italian restaurant. Granted, it's my fault for not reviewing the menu and assuming the bruchetta was going to be traditional with fresh tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and shredded mozzarella and not just Pico on toast. Maybe people like diced onions, cilantro, and tomatoes on toast. But not me. I had the chicken francese and expected a lemon butter white whine sauce with some type of angle hair or penne pasta with a chicken breast that's lightly battered. Sadly I got a overcooked chicken with a slice of lemon with citrus glaze and orzo on the side. It wasint bad and was editable.... just odd in my opinion

Our server was good. Food was good. Place was small. The bill was Outrageous!! $65 for a ribeye. No salad, no potato. Just julianned zucchini. Our bill was over $300. The people were very nice but, for that kind of money, they should be.

Just Excellent! So good in fact, MAKE SURE you have a reservation! We didn't... coming home from a long day at the dealership with our new RV, we were not able to get in for 2hrs. BUT, my lovely wife used our 10y anniversary card after some negotiating and we were able to order TO GO, and enjoyed our meal out front in our new camper. It couldn't have been more romantic and perfect for our special evening. The staff was so nice, lent us champagne glasses and dining wares while we ate in our own private VIP space. Food was beyond our expectations.. the seafood fettuccini was to die for. Soooo good! We will be back any time driving through the Lakeland area! Truly a 5 star Italian joint, that even the Godfather would approve.

Veal Parm with red sauce on top and Alfredo sauce on bottom is awesome. Dining experience is top notch.

I took my husband here for his birthday and was really excited for the food as I had read great reviews about this place. Unfortunately my expectations weren't met. I ordered the seafood fettuccine and when my food came out my noodles were well undercooked, for the price of the meals I would have assumed they would remake my entire meal, nope they made me some noodles and then drenched them in olive oil, not even the sauce my dish was made of, and I couldn't eat it. My husband got the lobster ravioli and it was fair. I think if we would've been in the "in crowd" per se we might have been treated better. All in all we won't be back.

One of the best steaks I've had in a long minute. It happen to be a special for the night so couldn't tell you when it's available but the 14oz NY Steak wow. Wife got the Seafood Pasta and just great Fresh Pasta not store bought

Absolutely delicious food! I had seafood fettuccine Alfredo & hubby had chicken parmesan (Christine's way, she's a waitress) that's where you mix the marinara&Alfredo sauce together! The moscoto Scarraco she suggested was very delicious & I'm picky about wine. Friendly staff & manager. We were the youngest couple there on a Friday night but very nice ambience for a great date night dinner like we did! Definitely will be going back! Plan on spending $25+ on a meal.

Scarpa's is the perfect place for a date night, special occasion, or to impress out of town guests. I have never had a bad meal there and honestly, I think I could point to anything on the menu blindfolded and be delighted with the results. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable and the ambience is lovely. Be sure to make a reservation.

The lobster ravioli is literally to die for... I discovered this place last year and just traveled to Florida again from Michigan just to eat here again. I am constantly amazed at how good the food is here. Everything is made in house and is so fresh and delicious. My boyfriend gets the seafood fettuccine alfredo and he loves it as well! Thank you Scarpas for being consistently DELICIOUS ❤️

Best food, always fresh. Will not disappoint

First the good, the food is excellent. I had the shrimp diablo and it had some solid kick without losing its sweet tomato flavor. Shrimp were cooked perfectly. Pasta is fresh made in house and you can tell. I wish there was a little more pasta or a little less sauce. We got the Bruschetta which was just about as good as I have ever had. We also got the calamari, which was very good as well. Everybody got the crème brûlée for dessert and it was a solid crème brûlée. The service was excellent, I never had to ask for more water, which is one of my pet peeves. The server was always attentive, made recommendations and she was quick to point out different things about different dishes that might be a little bit different than a traditional dish. I wish I remembered her name, but whoever she was, she was amazing. I don’t have any complaints, but there are a couple of things to be aware of. First, there are no handicap parking spots that could be seen when we parked. If they do exist, we didn’t see them. This isn’t something that you can hold against the Restaurant. it just is the way the parking lot is set up . The second could be pro or a con depending on the way you look at it. This is a small restaurant that only has 12 tables, maybe. With that you can look at it has a quaint feel because of this. The downside to this is that it can get quite loud in there and if you have any trouble with hearing, it could be difficult to hear people talk sitting right at your table. This has nothing to do with the restaurant just something that was affecting people in our party.

We went for an employee move to management. Was excellent. I had the seafood pasta. My husband and manager had the grouper again, and it was an excellent choice. Wines were very good. It's hard to make reservations. Just because they open at 5 pm.

Intimate restaurant with fantastic Italian cuisine. Absolutely loved the sausage and penne. Highly recommend. The next time we visit from Virginia we will return here.

First visit to Scarpa's for dinner. Not very impressed with the food or service. I'm an Italian immigrant born in Sicily living in Lakeland now. I'm not even sure the owner is Italian, or maybe a third or fourth generation Italian. I found the restaurant to be over rated and over priced. If you want Italian food go to the Palace Southside in Lake Miriam Square. The owner Daniel is from Italy, the food and service are excellent. At least I can speak with him in my native language. Try his restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

1st time here...looking for a new local date night spot. We were greeted kindly by a hostess at the door. Kristen was our server and although she had some knowledge of the menu...she was not able to answer all of our questions. The more we asked...the more annoyed she became. "Are you guys appetizer people or what?" This was the type of terminology being used at a place that is supposed to be more high-end. She didn't even thank us at the end of our evening or wish us well. Literally just grabbed the bill off the table and took off. The dinning room is small and dim. Interestingly weird decor for an Italian place. Music was a mix of Christmas with some Italian music mixed in. I thought that was nice. We tried 3 apps, a glass of wine each, and our entree. $200 out the door! Expensive!! And honestly it was just ok food. We were trying to explore their options to get a good feel for it. For the price...we were definitely expecting better. (Including service) They advertise that the pasta is made in home. I got a penne dish...but was given a slightly curled macaroni noodle that was literally all different sizes. I had a 4 inch noodle in my bowl! My husband got the veal...hoping to find his new spot to enjoy this dish often. The cauliflower that came with the dish was completely awful and the veal was the wrong texture and taste altogether. He ended up with a stomach ache at the end of the evening. I don't know for sure...but maybe some re-teaching from an actual authentic Italian chef might get you guys on track. (We've been working in the restaurant industry for over 20 yrs, 10 with an Italian background.) There is no shame with sprucing up your kitchen staff, re-teaching and updating things every now and then. Also the commotion made in the dining room when a couple regulars came in was astonishing. It was like a mini party...so disruptive to us and other tables around. And then they were the only couple sitting on their cell phones the entire time lighting up their little dim area with zero communication amongst each other or acknowledgement of the other guests around them. I was like...these are the people you celebrate!? I guess we won't be one of the locals coming back. Best of luck to you.

I’m not going to lie we drove two hours to eat here for our anniversary, when we got here we were extremely disappointed with the outside area of where the restaurant is located, after deciding to commit man were we happy, once you walk in it’s like a complete different experience, the food was absolutely amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere was perfect, an absolute gorgeous place for any date night I 100% would recommend :)

Went for our first visit on our 2nd anniversary and had an amazing night. The food was incredible, desserts and wine were amazing and our server Nancy was a delight! We will definitely be coming back!

Referred by a friend and wasn't disappointed. It was our Anniversary and we wanted a special place to celebrate. The staff were very nice and were attentive to our requests. Our waiter was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and asked good questions to help us have a perfect experience. She even brought out a cannoli with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. My wife had the pasta vernazza and I had the 16oz grilled ribeye. Will encourage our friends and family to go. We have a new favorite place.

We took a chance on a new Italian restaurant. My girlfriend was quite pleased. Which is good. She was in a bad mood when we were driving. In between the gnocchi and lasagna we were very happy. Then came the creme brulee. 😍

Best Italian restaurant in town. Expensive but you do get what you pay for. Staff is friendly and attentive. The music and atmosphere is nice. Only complaint I have is it becomes difficult to hear when the restaurant is packed because it's such a small space.

The good: service was amazing! They were super friendly and very attentive to our every need. The okay: it's a fancy atmosphere for a date night. That's not really my thing though so I could take it or leave it. The bad: food was very meh. A couple of us didn't finish our meal, not because we were full but because it just didn't taste right. The Penne Pollo was overwhelmed by a salty Parm taste that I still can't get out of my mouth. I also tried my grandmother's chicken parm, the sauce was okay but the chicken was cooked to death! Prices were also pretty high $25+ per plate. TLDR, for the price I'd choose Olive Garden or making pasta with Ragu at home all day long.

Amazing place that I have visited several times in the last two years. They still keeping the quality of the food but not the service. I went twice in the last month for different celebrations. On April 4/2023 service was super slow & the waiter was very unprofessional ,not fulfilling the restaurant standards. On April 22/2023, the waitress was really rude and snobby.
