This place is phenomenal across the board, be it sushi to go, or a chunk of tuna to bring home and grill. Must visit.

CLEAN. They even had corn on the cob, which they brought to us from the back room.

Super fresh fish & great service!

Sushi is always on point but we ordered "whole belly clams" per the menu and when we received them it looked like remnants of clam strips with mostly chunks of cooked batter that were not filled with much clam. When I asked about them they confirmed it was clam strips ...but the menu said whole belly...and they just sort of looked at me and shrugged. Fish and chips was sub par at that and just tatsted like fryer oil....lobster roll was soggy and chewy. First time out of 25 times I've been there that I had this happen. Usually only get sushi. Don't slip up now guys!

We ordered fish and chips and some sushi rolls. The size of fishes are really small like chicken nuggets. It's almost same size of lemon inside. Sushi rolls are also small and taste is average. It's fresh because we waited for the order. I moved from Tokyo, Japan. I was looking for good place to eat, but this place is not for me.

Great sushi selection and excellent prices. Gluten free soy sauce (tamari) available. Service is also very good. Quality, quantity, freshness and taste was exceptional. Will definitely be back for more. No photos this time.

The quality here is so amazing, we drive all the way from new haven to get our week’s fish supply! I love their clam chowder too, and we just had some of their lobster and I just had to leave a review. We also often get sushi for lunch from here. Totally worth the drive!

Go here for lobster roll! My husband grew up in New England and has had tons of lobster rolls, and he said it was the best lobster roll he'd ever had. I have never had a good lobster roll before and I'm a convert immediately - that was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. They have great sushi too. And the staff are friendly. Exactly what we were looking for. Would happily give it 6 stars

Beautiful, clean bright and great display of fresh fish and Sushi. The young man at the counter was very courteous and took his time, explaining about some of the fish on display. There was a bit of a snag with our Sushi order( nothing too crazy) we just had to wait a little longer than expected, he gave us a container of sea food salad, when we paid our bill. The tuna and salmon , we ate that night were so so delicious. I would recommend this place if you want a big array of fish and seafood.

I've had sushi here and the fish is very fresh and delicious. Today, I tried the fish n'chips. The fries were not cooked correctly. Not crispy and tasted like they were only cooked once. There were only three small pieces of fish, for a price of $16.95. You can judge how skimpy it was by the small container of Cole Slaw. The fish was very fresh, but tasted semi steamed with a tasteless batter. Maybe the oil wasn't hot enough yet as we were there early. At any rate... stick to sushi here.

My family and I ordered 5 fish and chips advertised for $14.95, as displayed on both the board and online menu. However, we were charged $16.95 without any prior indication of the extra cost. When we raised the issue, the staff dismissed it, citing outdated boards. The order was already placed and she took the money so we felt bad just leaving. The least she could have done is honor the price on the board after failing to mention the up charges. This is how business gets resolved literally everywhere. This lack of transparency is concerning and disappointing. As visitors from Jersey, it left us with a negative impression of the business during our first visit to Connecticut.

I have been going there for fresh fish and sushi. I love their sushi. The employees are all so friendly and helpful. Their prices aren’t the cheapest but their quality is second to none. Shop local!

With a group of sushi snobs and everyone loved it. Spicy girl roll with jalepeno was perfect - personally like it a little spicier, but think for most it’s spot on. Friends liked the Empress roll and shrimp tempura roll with onion frizzles. Give it a shot. Employees also very nice. There’s parking in back.

Absolutely outstanding fresh products. Kids friendly! Great service and super friendly staff who patiently helped us choose, advised and let us try yummy soups to make our minds. Mandatory visit. We tried 🦞 lobster rolls, prawns, soups and sushi. It was all amazing, tasty and fresh.

Amazing food, amazing people. Everything we ordered was awesome (sushi, soup, shrimps...). But honestly we went there after reading a review claiming they had the best lobster roll... It turns out they actually do!

Update: they continue to bring amazing hard to find at high quality ingredients such as uni and caviar. Being a fisherman and half Japanese I am very picky about my fish. This a place I trust and am always happy with their selection of top quality seafood. Staff is knowledge and super helpful. They often have interesting and harder to find sushi grade items such as yellow tail (hamachi), sea urchin (uni), fresh sushi grade salmon roe (ikura). Parking can be crazy out front but there is large lot In the back.

Best, most fresh seafood in all Connecticut! And awesome customer service who really care. If you’re looking for top notch a seafood this is your place to go!

Hands down the best seafood store in Fairfield County. They know their stuff and love to share.

Always have great selection and choices. A little pricey but always fresh. Very helpful. Sushi is excellent. Try it all. You will not be disappointed.

Nice experience. Fish fresh. If you get a bass like I did, you will need to wait 15-20 for cleaning. Not much lobster meat in case. Sushi looks good. If you’re there for the atmosphere then awesome but if you go to a local fish market outside this area, it’s about one third of the price.

Ordered food for sit—in and waited in the place. After 20min and us checking on the status got our half-warm food.

You all saved me tonight!!! I came in because we were having a funeral reception and my family grossly underestimated the amount of guests. I slammed you guys with platter orders in the middle of the reception and you pulled it off in minutes. Everything was devoured by the end of the night...I must selfishly admit, I was bummed because I wanted leftovers. I have been getting sushi and lobster rolls from Nordic Fish for a while now and they never let me done. The fish is so fresh. The lobster rolls are absolute amazing.

Just started trying sushi and I am in love with their spicy California roll. Had it twice and the quality and freshness were on point both times.

My dad and I had an amazing lunch at Nordic fish. We both had the fish and chips... The batter was light, almost like tempura so you actually taste the perfectly cooked fresh fish. The fries were equally good. We had an early lunch and chatted with the manager who is passionate about seafood. We also tried a pate made from red snapper and I think haddock. Delicious.

Great atmosphere and workers but prices were insane.

We were served mussels and clams that were prepared by the manager. The service was superb and the food was the freshest ever. Great experience! Nice job, folks!

Great place to get fresh quality seafood/raw fish AND they also offer quality sushi at very reasonable price! We love to grab sushi for takeout from this place. Our favorites are the tuna sushi sandwich and Osaka roll(looks like sandwich too lol). We also love their seafood salad and smoke fish dip. We often come on Sunday morning because the Fairfield farmers market is right next to it (not open due to Covid). When the farmers market was open, we’d just get everything in one trip. You should definitely swing by if you’re seafood lover.
