Love the food. The Bartender give Great Service & she makes everyone Smile!

Our server worked with us to get a ‘special order’ spectacular grouper sandwich! We wish they would put it back on the menu……amazing!!!!

9-1-24, 9-3-24. Sundays special was 2 toppings pizza with 5 wings. OMG my first time having their pizza. Excellent. Tuesday special are the wings, which I crave and eat every Tuesday. Alberto, Ja, Sam are all great behind the bar. I highly recommend

Service was good. Food was fair

They're food was not that great. Cheese wasn't added to a Philly cheese steak that is automatically added. Mgr yelled at me for smoking at end of the restaurant outside stating I had to go down towards another store. No "No smoking" signs posted plus it's a sidewalk area. Not owned by Norma Jeans. Very bad experience.

Stopped in for a quick bite on my short lunch break yesterday. They almost had me sold at 75 cent wings but that 2 for $10 I just couldn't pass up. That philly cheese steak slider and lobster bisque was exactly what I needed. Just had a water as I was working. I'm going to find myself here a lot more, especially for the happy hour menu, it looks really good. Alberto did great job and was very helpful helping me decide what to get. Very friendly and funny. Can't wait to bring the wife back. Lunch and tip $15. I'm sold.

Came in this Monday night to try out the infamous burger special I kept hearing about. What a steal at $5! It was cooked perfectly pink (as requested). Samantha, at the bar, explained everything so perfectly! Food was excellent and will definitely be coming back. My favorite thing was the atmosphere! All of the staff are super friendly and chatting with their customers! I love that! I hate feeling rushed and pushed to hurry and eat! I can’t wait to get back and try out music bingo!

If I could give negative stars, I would! So sad. The “Grillroom/Steakhouse” used to be our “go-to”, 3-4 years ago. Separate entrance, Separate room, different menu and ambiance. Went yesterday, and none of that no longer exists. Same menu and service as the bar. A special trip turned into a same old bar visit and meal. Won’t be back. Will go to Dockside or Bogeys for a better place to spend our money.

We come down for vacation here every summer and always make a trip to Norma Jean's. Found them by accident and took a chance, been hooked ever since. The atmosphere is amazing!! Played some 90s hits bingo tonight and Won!! You guys rock!!!

Chilli was too soupy and didn't taste good, ended up wiva sour stomach

I ordered prime rib because online the picture looked amazing but it was far from that. It looked like they just defrosted it from the freezer and it was very dry even after soaking it with AuJu. I was very disappointed but the staff was very nice.

The boneless wings were great! We also had delicious spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and salad. Great meal!

It was quite busy but our sierra was excellent and friendly and fast!

We are visiting the area and saw Norma Jean's from the road. What a great experience!! Nick was waited on us. He is a very nice, customer service awesome young man. In this world where it is hard to find good people, Nick does a great job! We had Fried Pickles as a starter; grilled chicken sandwich; and a patty melt. Good food, great service and a friendly place! Keep up the great work!

Our waitress Andi (with an i) provided us excellent service for our group of 5. She explained the nuances of the specials and various menu items, and was very attentive throughout our dinner. The food was excellent, especially the clam chowder and Reuben sandwiches., The prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended. Will definitely go there again!

We came from the Legacy bike trail. found bargain priced "cold beers " food was good had chili. Found a very nice patio area all in the shade with a nice breeze with plants ( everywhere else was hot concrete strip mall ) service by nice people ( we liked Norma Jeans. Would go again, but was nothing fancy just a nice place to hangout )

Our first experience at Norma Jeans was a great one, Burgers were delicious and Beers cold. Dillon our server and bartender very pleasant and attentive. Look forward to visiting again when in Venice.

We're visiting from Maryland and always make it a point to stop and eat here. Norma Jean's has the best burgers around. Our server Andi (with an i) was very personable and gave us great service! We'll be back again soon.

Our server Charlie, was very informative and knows the menu well. He kelp our glasses full and table clean. The food was great and fun atmosphere!

Got takeout here before with no problem, food was made quickly and was good. Have tried to order takeout several times over the last 2 weeks (both for lunch and dinner) and nobody answers the phone. Goes to voicemail. My husband and coworker has tried as well with same results. Disappointed! Won't be trying anymore. Lots of other places like Gold Rush and Bogeys that want our takeout order!

We had a snack here on Sunday. My wife was shopping at Bealls so I stopped here for a beer and a side order or onion straws. The onion straws were perfect and tasty!! My wife joined me and we ordered a steak quesadilla. It was very good and I'd recommend. Overall the place is a nice respite from shopping with good service, fair prices and excellent food.

Super casual. Great food. My husband had a grilled chicken sandwich and I had the wrap. My wrap was perfect - generous proportion and fresh veggies.

We just stopped in for a cold one (or two) after a day at the beach. It is a nice sports setting to take in a game or for eats. The place was full so I suspect the food is good. I know the beer was good and cold.

We were ignored outside after being seated there. Our next mistake was moving to the nearly empty bar to see if we could be served there. When the bartender approached us, we were ready to order our meal after studying the menu for 15 minutes, but she refused and would only take our drinks and condescendingly told us that twice. Maybe they are under staffed. Or maybe I should have read more reviews.

Friend of mine and I used to go here weekly. We stopped after the "three stikes your out" rule. The food was always pretty good but the place is filthy and the waitstaff often clueless. The last straw was when one of them was so stoned she couldn't string a sentence together. This was the second time in a row we were being served by a person under the influence. After a 9 month boycott I stopped in for chili reminding myself of the good food. Silly me to think things have changed. Place is still REALLY filthy. Watched the bartender serve three other people, stare mindlessly at a screen, help a waitress "fix" errors on her check whike I watched her customer get agitated, and on and on and on... So I watched, and I watched, and I watched... in awe ... patiently as he continued to cater to everyone and everything but myself. I watched somemore. Decided I would leave if he started making that martini this girl ordered when she sat down next to me 15 minutes AFTER I let him know I just wanted to place a "to go" order. I decided if he had the nerve to start slinging her martini I was out. Well I walked away as he grabbed the shaker. Then he had the audacity to acknowledge me as I was leaving with some sort of sarcasm. I bartended for many many moons... Why oh why did I give this place another try? Never again. Four strikes and you are sadly out. Sincerely, A customer for probably 15 years. PS Stopped in Bogeys immediately after and within the SAME amount of time i stood at Norma Jeans bar being ignored, i literally ordered, paid, and walked out with my to go chili and wings. I'll give Bogeys my business!!!!

Don't come in with wandering eyes. This place is busy and poppin for good reasons, but finding a friendly face and good service isn't hard to find. I had the filet, with LARGE broccoli and a loaded tater, cooked with a perfected char. Medium rare. On 5 dollar burger night on a game night. Give em a shot, give them two.. love this joint.

Went on wing night. Our group was 8 people. 3 of which ordered 12 wings. One person could not eat all 12 and we were told we could not take the 4 wings home. Really? Plus over 3% extra charge for using credit card. Good food, but will not be going back.

Sad to have to give this a bad review because food is usually good and owner tries to please. We had outdoor seating and the waitress was horrible and we ordered drinks and it took 45 minutes to get them and we gave up on our food after over an hour’s wait.

Burgers are over the top yummy! Staff is very accommodating for larger parties.

Can only comment on the service because we got up and left after waiting about 25 minutes and no one came to even bring water to the table they sat us at. Upon arrival the woman was yelling at everyone, told one customer waiting for a table (a million were empty in the restaurant but making people wait to sit) to get away from her because standing near her wouldn’t make her get a table faster- keep in mind there is no standing area to wait (but there were a bunch of empty tables we could have sat at). Absolutely horrible, would never go back.

Ive been dating my guy seven years. I dont know how many tines when I finally moved to Nokomis he mentioned how good it was , and he went there alm the time when they were on the island. Well one evening we wound uo needing a plave to go out and eat and it was getting late ( everyone knows places around here shut down between 9-10) He said ok when I suggested Norma Jeans. I cannot remember what night of the week it was, but we got there at 8:15 and the place waa still busy. All the tv screens were playing Football of course. They had a build a burger deal and a fried fish wrap. Both our meals and service was really great. Glad I finally got to try it after all these years. Too bad I dont watch sports anymore .

A "sports bar" closed on Sundays. 😆 and food went downhill.

Showed up for the recently introduced all day Friday fish fry for $12.99 and it didn't disappoint. Everything came out quickly, hot, and fresh. The three (3) pieces of Cod we're huge and tasted amazing. Plenty of options for sides included with the option (minor up-charge) for premium sides if necessary or wanted. A great local sports bar with a small town feel was awesome after a long day at the beach. We will definitely be back in the future; an excellent experience.

First time here most definitely will be back. Coleslaw is like what Mom made.

Besides the elderly gent hitting my parked truck in the parking lot. This was a nice little bar to grab a quick bite before going to the beach. I will say my salmon was a bit over cooked and needed more seasoning. The waitresses were sweet. Busy yes but sweet. The bartender thank you for your hospitality when serving me my drink. I will definitely be back. Fried pickles were good too. Gracias!!!

Have been here a couple times already. Always in bar area. Great service and very good bar bites (shrimp, skins, wings). Prices reasonable as well. Will be trying for dinner some day and will update.

Have been coming to norma jeans for years for the grouper. Earlier this week i Ordered one grouper sandwich and one dinner. The fish coating was very salty and there was a large amount of grease on top of the fish. Used 2 paper towels to absorb it. And another 3 towels under the fish to absorb the grease. Our waitress was less than attentative. When I told her about my fish. She totally ignored me. It will probably be a long time before I come back there to eat.

Table for 2, please! My husband and I have always heard such good things about Norma Jean's, and we just happened to be in the plaza visit a different business, and when we were finished, we decided to give it a try. We are both so glad we did. The food was amazing and we only had lunch. My philly cheese steak sandwich was excellent, and my husband's burger was cooked just like he ordered it, medium. We can't wait to go back for dinner and try one of their evening specials. We even liked their Facebook page so we can keep track of what the specials are.

Wife got a bad hamburger!! She lucky only took one bite, she reordered to a tenderloin which was fine. They still charged like nothing ever happened!! That's fine we're done with them. I believe they've changed hands because last year was so much better.

This is a very nice sports bar in Venice. Very good burguers. The service was quick and the waitress was very nice. While there, we heard a couple of performances by a group of gentlemen sitting on the next table. Their voices were amazing! Check the video.

This was the 3rd time in the past 2 years that we have eaten in the Grill Room. 4 of us all had different entrees and all were excellent. The service was professional and first class and the prices were very reasonable. We worry that it will not continue due to the lack of advertising for the separate and upscale Grill Room as compared to the sports bar and Grill with which it is connected. There were only about 10 customers there when we attended. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, so sad. I had to crosed it of from my list. 1. I had the worst drinking water there! Smell and taste like chlorine! So bad. 2. The worst French onion soup I had ever have! I had the stomachache the rest of the day! 3. Burger was cooked on the flat top not on the grill. Yakk! So. Not my cup of tea. Maybe thier food good with beer? Lol So sad. The server guy was very friendly.

Waitress was very friendly and attentive, but made a few mistakes with basic order - like wrong food, drink, etc. Food ok. Management or employees lurking around were not friendly and didn’t even speak.

The food was good, but if you want to share a sandwich they will charge you a $4 fee, so be prepared to pay $$. Just because you have it posted as a side note on the menu does not mean you should not be more clear to a customer sharing. We would have ordered differently if we had been informed by the bartender. We ordered cocktails and appetizers, and it's ridiculous to charge a split plate fee on the sandwich. We did not even ask you to put it on 2 plates. I said to her that next time we won't mention we are sharing. Bartender said I would have seen that and added the $4. Talk about the menu police. There is nowhere else we have eaten in Florida that has done this to us. Sharing a meal is common, especially with retired couples wanting to eat light and enjoy eating out without breaking the bank. Maybe you should reconsider your policy because we will not be back and we will tell others to beware.

Good pizza but a 12 inch pizza isn't a large. $20 for a pizza that doesn't feed more than two people is a bit steep.

Sadly this place was a good place to eat, but it has been declining for the past 2 years. Since the addition of the steakhouse it seems they gave up on the sports bar side of the restaurant.

I've had a hankering for an Indiana breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Norma Jeans hit the spot. It's the closest BPT sandwich to Indiana that I've come too. It was delicious.

There was 10 of us for my husbands birthday, the food was terrible, I ordered a 7 oz. filet-Medium Well, the outside was Black and the inside was rare, another persons food was cold. Someone else order shrimp, she said they had boiled it and then sprinkled seasoning on it, out of 10 entrees, 10 were awful. The waitress was great, but the food was not worth $100, I will not be back.

Delicious burgers. Our server, Gina, was very good. We were seated by the kitchen where orders are placed for pickup by wait staff. Aldo, not even our waiter, brought our plates to us to help Gina because he’s a team player. We were there at 5 pm and it was very very busy. Even the Manager was lending a hand. Good team spirit. I like that.

We went to Norma Jeans last Thursday......very disappointed after many previous visits. We both got Ruben Sandwiches with fries. Small Greasy Ruben had a few small scraps of corned beef with no Sauerkraut, and fries were cold. We ate half and left the rest. Beer was good. What happened ? $38 bucks - Seriously???

We tried Norma Jean's a couple days ago. I got linguini and meatballs and my man got a Cuban and onion straws. The Cuban was ok and the onion straws were amazing. The meatballs are delicious but the pasta was bad. The pasta was stuck together in some spots but it was overcooked and not drained enough which resulted in watered down and bland marinara sauce. We will probably go back again but I will not be ordering anything pasta. It was a shame such delicious meatballs were paired with that hot mess.

My husband and I stopped last night, (Monday) forgot is was Burger special day. It was packed inside and out however the waitresses and waiters had everything under control. This restaurant was crazy busy being NFL Sunday and the staff was well prepared and everything went flawless. Food came out in reasonable time and all staff was very friendly and attentive. All the games were on the many televisions that were present, no matter where you sat you could see any game from your table. Will definitely be coming back in the near future!

3 of us went for a quick dinner and weren't disappointed. I got a veggie burger with Bleu cheese and a side of coleslaw and a Jai Alai IPA - all were really delicious. Server was Stephanie who was an absolute gem! Kiddo got pizza which was pretty tasty. Somewhere in all that, we tried the French fries and they were bussin!! Owner/manager brought down the experience by talking on his cell phone while pacing around the dining room. He should have been scrubbing down the rank (like horrid) smelling men's room, which lacks a door on the toilet portion. I've been looking for a small town feeling bar, that's cheap with good beer. I really think this place fits the bill. Get the owner squared away and clean up the restroom and yall get 5 stars.
