She over charged us because we purchased many items. At the end I asked for the receipt, and she got nervous. She gave me a receipt with no descriptions for the items she had entered. I suggest asking for a receipt and checking your purchased items one by one.

Best middle eastern food for a 50 mile radius, and one of the best local restaurants, hands-down. Great service, fantastic shawarma and don't skip all of the bean salads and sides. Their baba ganoush is so flavorful and smoky. The staff is always so kind to our young daughter and offer her sweets on the house. I urge you to try it and see for yourself!

The seller woman charged us more than she was supposed to! We noticed when we got home and checked our receipt!

Neat little unassuming place that would fool ya. On business travel looking for something different and stumbled in this place. Glad I took the leap after reading the reviews and weighing options Food was excellent. I did the chicken shawarma platter and was beyond stuffed. All the extras that came with it were great and very flavorful. Service was friendly and quick. Many good things to bring you back a 2nd time. Will definitely go again next trip to Danbury. Price is right too.

I would like to say this restaurant is a hidden gem, the food is delicious; the service is outstanding. The lamb special was really good as well as the appetizers. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the owner really goes out of his way to make sure you’re enjoying yourself. I will gladly be returning to this restaurant and I encourage others to do so as well. There is so much to choose from And so much to enjoy. I will be returning soon.

Beautiful, delicious food! The best lamb shawarma I’ve ever had. The platter option with salad and rice was perfect. Generous portions. We were passing through Bethel on a road trip, but I would come back just to eat here.

This is the best Lebanese food I have ever had. Whenever I visit the area and my family asks what I want to do, my first answer is always to eat here. The owners are amazing and kind. The schwarma is to die for. 1000/5 stars.

On our way back from Boston to NJ, our navigation system routed us through this city, and we stumbled into this restaurant by accident. But boy are we glad we had our dinner there. The shawarma we ate was delicious 🤤 The owner was very kind and friendly. It has nice big paintings of erstwhile Lebanon culture, which were nice to see. But I can't say enough about the shawarma. To top it off, the Walnut Baklava was great too. My wife had this local tea, and she really liked it too. We liked it so much, that we wanted to take a detour next time we went to Mass or NH to stop at this restaurant and grab a bit.

Wonderful service, Flavors that bring smiles of yum ! What a great find tonight as three of us had dinner from lamb shwarma combo, chicken schwarma combo, to chicken kabob platter,cucumber with yogurt. Homemade ice tea. All Wonderful. We also stocked up on cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Lebanon. Although a bit of a drive from Norwalk to Bethel, this restaurant will be on our return list of go-to favorites. Thank you Nour for a wonderful meal and your welcoming warmth.

This place is exquisite! And this is coming from an Armenian Lebanese woman who cooks all this food at home. I’m super picky and Noor did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The fried potatoes , I loved so much I ordered another one to take home. Also bought a bunch of cheeses and nuts. Great prices! And the owner and his staff were so kind and genuine.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! They have the best Lebanese food ever. Everything I have ever had from here has been absolutely delicious! They often give food samples to try, which I love and they are always so tasty! Everyone who works there is so so sweet and the owner takes the time to chat and get to know you when you are there. They make you feel right at home. I couldn’t ask for more. Best experience ever! I highly recommend!!

WOW, this place is so good! Everything is very fresh. We got the chicken shawarma, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The slow cooked lamb special was excellent, and the falafel were the best I have EVER had. Portion sizes are generous, prices are reasonable, and you can tell they take so much pride in providing food made of the best ingredients. The gentleman working even walked me through the grocery section. I can’t wait to come back. This place is an absolute gem for the Bethel community

We were craving Lebanese food and hadn't been here since pre-covid. Not sure if the owner changed. We left disappointed and had to give it 3 stars. I've been spoiled with fresh home cooked Lebanese food and Nour Labanese Cusine fell short. The grape leaves were mushy. The salad, hummus, and babba ghanoush did not taste fresh. Thankfully, the kiddbeh and Swarma with rice was really good.

Food is so good and healthy super nice owners a little pricey but I think it's worth the money inside is nothing special don't let that fool you its good

They make you feel like family. The food is made with love and the flavor is authentic. And they give you a full plate! If you get the chance to go there, you won't be disappointed.

I'm from out of town visiting my daughter in NY. She took me for an outing and needed a bite to eat. Yelp reviews were good so we took a chance and came it, so good we did. It's an experience to dine there, the food (heavenly) the service (superb) and the ambiance completed it.

Great Lebanese and Mediterranean food. What I love is they have many veggie options for my wife, who is vegetarian. The service is nice and the owner often gives me a small container of his latest dish to try out. (Free!) They also have a small store where you can buy Lebanese food essentials.

What a great experience at this restaurant! They had such excellent food. Everything was delicious. I had the chicken Shawarma and the tabouli, as well as a baklava for dessert. Everything was outstanding, and the owner made me feel like family. I highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Exceptionally delicious! Nour is hands down my favorite Lebanese restaurant! My family has been eating in and taking out from Nour for 10 plus years. The kafta platter is world class & everything on the menu is made from scratch with love. You can taste it!

Solid spot! The staff are very friendly and you really get the feeling that this is your local, family-owned middle eastern joint. I ordered the beef kebab platter which was pretty good, but a bit pricy for what it is. However, while I waited the staff was super friendly and offered a small plate of rice and hot sauce to snack on while my order was being prepared. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with this place! Recommend you try it at least once

The best Lebanese cuisine i have tried in years!!!!

I just walked into Nour's for the first time and fell in love. I bought a few spices and treats from the store. While waiting for my take-out meals, the sweet owner fed me a nice bowl of amazing homemade chicken soup (which I bought a container of!) and pistachio butter cookies which I also couldn't resist.The food is phenomenal! We got a roasted lamb platter and chicken shawarma with hummus and babaganou. I can't wait to go back and sit and gorge myself! 😍😋🥰 I'm kicking myself for not having discovered this wonderful place sooner! 💖

What can I say about Nour’s? From the minute you walk in you are always greeted with a smile! You feel as if you have known each other for years! They love to feed you as you wait for your food to be picked up! And when you get your food and before you leave, they have to give you another item or two complimentary! They love people, they love to feed you, they love to make you happy! This is one of the best and friendliest establishments ever! Their food is out of this world and has amazing taste! If you want amazing food, customer service and have a laugh, this is the place for you!

Incredible food in an eclectic setting. The dining area is also part of their store where you'll find lots of Middle Eastern delights for sale, and the other side where you walk into is also part of their store. Be sure to take some time and stock up on packaged goods, plus homemade baked goods. You will not be disappointed and will be planning your next trip back as soon as you leave.

Went to pick up a kafta kebab from this place. The owner was the most personable and friendly man I’ve ever met that was not family. Offered me spicy chicken soup on a cold day and let me sample some chicken while I waited on my meal. Send me back on the road with a coffee on the house. Shook my hand and asked my name. Everything about this place screams quality and they have a lifetime customer and friend. Also goods in the store for you pantry and fridge. Don’t come through Danbury without stopping in!

Actually came to purchase groceries. Absolutely lovely experience. Extremely friendly outgoing. The cook Hasan hope I spelled his name correctly was the most outgoing sweetest person I’ve come across in a while. Then we get to the food and oh my goodness wow…it’s freshly made with the best ingredients and very fresh. Nour *really* knows how to feed people. Large portions of fantastic food and a laid back atmosphere, and plenty of goodies to shop for on your way out the door after a meal. Nour is about an hour from where we live, and it's absolutely worth the trip. Their food rivals some of the best food we've tried from NYC or the west coast. You can't go wrong with any pick from the menu, and their desserts are (literally) the icing on the cake. Just ate there this weekend, and already looking forward to our next visit!

We were staying at the Microtel next door. It was raining, and we didn't want to get back out. At first, walking in. The restaurant looked unique. The waitress was not very pleasant. We ordered and actually pointed to the items we wanted on the menu. The food was ok. Liked the Beef and the Lamb. It was not until we checked out that we realized we got the Combo Platter. (Which is not what we pointed to on the menu) We felt deceived for sure.

Love the food. Quirky inside and maybe a little odd, but always good food. So yes, you have to take your drink inside the fridge before going into the dining room, and sometimes you might have to take your own silverware. But, it is not overpriced and it does not pretend to be something it is not. It feel homey without pretense. They give some little appetizers at first, always something new, and always nice. Take what ever you like on the menu, it will taste good. The waitress might seem a little harsh at first, but she has a heart of gold. She is nice and always wants to make sure everything is OK. Don't let first impression fool you, go back and again and you will love it too.

Food was incredible. I came two days in a row after my first visit. The owner is very friendly, the service is great, everyone is super helpful when you ask questions, and they give out so many samples of the most delicious side dishes. The portions are very generous for the price. I’ll certainly be a lifetime customer. Easily some of the best food I’ve had in CT!!!

Great food could use some service help

Restaurants are hospitality business not a kitchen to cook food. You can cook food but people don’t walk to a place to eat because they cannot find better food other places, or eat at home. Competition is high and running a place and present a restaurant is not an easy task( I have 3 of them in California) 1. Food in Nour is not impressive, just very average level. 2. The lady who was giving us service never smiles, she acted like she doing us a favor working there. There is no doubt that it is no easy to run a restaurant and keep people everyone happy. But if you cannot manage a good attitude, pleasant and spend a couple of smiles, change you job. 3. She gave us the menu, right away she stand next to us meaning, tell me what you want to order. Miss, we don’t know your menu, we need two minutes to look at menu. This is extremely unprofessional. 4. She gave us menu and never asked if we want water or not. In my places we offer tap water and bottle. In today’s hospitality business, water is essential. It is the sign of a professional place that they know the biology of a human. Offer water! Also if you don’t offer tap water( to make more money on the bottle) don’t tell your customer “water is in the fridge go get for yourself) if I wanted to get my own water I would go to a fast food restaurant. 5. Put a lots of old tools and ancient decorations in your place doesn’t give the feeling of a exotic food. Dolma from cans! Are your serious? We make dolma in our restaurant and people come back just for that. I am middle eastern. I own 1 restaurant back in my home country and three here in California. Customers have high expectations and competition is super high. When people go to Mediterranean restaurant they don’t go there to see statue of horse or deer on the wall. What we present is culture+food+experience. Food is in the middle. Yes sometimes customer are brutal and rude. But not everyone. In my places, we focus on the presenting the culture wrapped up with food. We make communication. People come there for being treated like special. ( YES, even for paying $16.99 for a dish) they should be treated like a special person to come back. People don’t come to my restaurant for just food. They come for our culture, food and presentation. we are representative of the culture that we make the food. We have few things in our menu that I suggest you add to yours. Good attitude, smile, don’t ask customer what they need right after giving them the menu, at the end don’t hand them the bill, give them the detail of the order( don’t you think I don’t remember the price of the food and you may do a mistake? Give them the detail as courtesy) and water! Gosh! I cannot believe in 2023 there is a restaurant that don’t ask about the water. And when you ask she tells you it is in the fridge go get it! Wow! I come CT very often, there are 3 more Mediterranean places in the radius of 15 min drive. For sure Nour ( meaning brightness and light) will not be our choice.

Food is delicious and generous! Had the lamb special last visit - very nice presentation and abundant leftovers! And what's really cool with this venue is that the front of the house is a specialty store! All sorts of goodies - oregano bread, dates, Turkish delight, dried apricot rolls, I could go on and on. We never leave empty-handed. W/r/t atmosphere - it has more of a diner feel and it is a dry establishment.

LOVE this restaurant!! Stopped in for sharwarma and falafel wrap but as always ended up with so much more! every time you pick up food here, you are offered multiple other dishes while you wait. such a great way to try other delights. Highly recommend the potato salad and feta dip. All the breads and wraps are amazing!

Probably the best shawarma Ive ever had. Delicious falafels too...they also give you plenty of treats to eat while you're waiting...everything they've given me has been delicious. Will definitely try to get here regularly.

Fantastic food... going back next week!

Nour Lebanese Cuisine is a diamond of a resteraunt. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch and were blown away by the hospitality and quality of the food. My boyfriend had the falafel sandwich and I had the kibbeh sandwich- both were wonderful. Their fresh baked bread and cold salads are also a must try! The bean salad, bulgar wheat salad and potato salad were so delicious we brought some home with us for lunch this week! Everything is fresh... fresh flavors and fresh ingredients, fresh preparation. Our waitress, Rena, was so kind and helpful. She welcomed us and was happy to answer any questions we had. We are excited to go back and explore more of the menu!

My partner and I went to this restaurant yesterday, as we first come in the owner offered us and another costumer amazing tasters while we look at the menus. We ended up having a few of their food items and my goodness, the taste, quality and quantity of the food were absolutely amazing. I always prefer home made food, and the food felt like my mom cooking for me. There are a lot of options for meat eaters and vegetarian. It’s truly a great restaurant that I highly recommend. Great yummy quality food.

This place is FANTASTIC. I got the slow roasted lamb special. Transcendental. The flavors are amazing. The meat itself was incredibly tender and delicious. One of the best dishes I have ever had. The falafel platter, spinach pie, labneh and stuffed grape leaves were all also fabulous. Everything is made from scratch and by hand. This place is an absolute gem. The woman behind the counter was very nice as well! Also they have a very very nice looking market area that I didn’t get to use this time, but absolutely will in the future. 5/5. Must try!!

Super friendly and the amount of fresh herbs infused in their dishes is impressive. The falafel is the best I have had. And the market brings another culinary trek to it. Check out the cheese, potato salad and olives. This place has it and they’re so welcoming and gracious. And the shawarma is beyond legit. A vertical spit of marinaded meats sliced in a certain way resulting in tasty treats we should all should be so lucky to enjoy. It’s worth not only a try, it is worth a fandom.

Delicious Lebanese/Middle East cuisine. The mix of spices and ingredients will please your taste buds. A must if you like tasteful food.

We had blast here this is the best Lebanese cuisine you can have in connecticut its authentic and rooted to the Lebanese style. We had Chicken Shawarma Combo and Lamb special and its cooked to perfection. Lamb is tender and rice is flavour full. Chicken is marinated well with Shawarma spcies and cooked to tender. Welcome platter is not to miss. Owner Assam is so friendly and had great conversation about the food and culture. It’s is must visit for anyone who wants to try Lebanese food, will visit again for sure!
