We visited Oak Valley originally for brunch but were so impressed with the food, service, and views that we reached out to discuss hosting our wedding here. Oak Valley appears to be a great event venue - they had a bunch of options you could add-on, from catering to decorations, and it was very reasonably priced compared to other venues. In fact, this was one of my favorite options but my fiance decided a vineyard wedding in the winter was not for him. If we were having a Spring/Summer/Fall wedding, would definitely have selected and strongly recommend for anyone still looking in the SA area.

Every single dish was stunningly and tastefully prepared. The service was impeccable. I can’t wait to return.

All of the people are very nice and they are very hard workers, and the food is very good and Devin is a good waitress.

This is one of our favorite places to have dinner. The food and the beautiful charm of this restaurant is the perfect atmosphere for a very relaxing evening. The staff is excellent, but Lori is our personal favorite! She goes above and beyond every single time we are dinning there.

Lori is 5 star and atmosphere 5 star. Best cheesecake ever. Made our 48th anniversary one of the best.

I love Oak Valley Vineyards. The Steak is the best I have ever had and the desserts are always fabulous. The staff is always great and the venue is absolutely beautiful. The prices are also way better than any other high quality restaurant in San Antonio.

Lori was so hospitable and gave us an amazing experience. She even turned on the outdoor lights so that we could walk around and take pictures after dinner. She recommended an excellent wine and put us on to a new favorite dessert - sticky toffee pudding. This place checks all the boxes and the winery cats were a bonus.

Our waiter offered us a table within minutes of our arrival. The food was top notch, everyone was satisfied with the wine recommendations.

If you're looking for a quick romantic getaway, this is the place! Beautiful grounds, delicious food and excellent service.

Good food, great ambiance but slow service

Here are the superlatives: Excellent Bloody Marys, excellent Mimosas, excellent fried Brie and fried green tomatoes, excellent shrimp & grits, excellent sticky toffee cake. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is charming and the grounds look very pretty - I’m sure they will be much prettier when the Spring growth starts. We will definitely go back.

Booked the upstairs for a surprise party for my wife's 50th because she enjoys eating here. Staff was great to work with (I dealt primarily with Lori) for the reservation and had no issues when I had to adjust the number of guests. We ordered from the menu, didn't try (or inquire) about the possibility of off-menu choices. Lori suggested the South Texas Caprice as an appetizer (wife and I don't like tomatoes) and she was right, we LOVED it. Wait staff was attentive and timely even though they had to keep coming upstairs. Guests had a great time and, most importantly, my wife was THRILLED. Highly recommend Oak Valley Vineyards whether it's dinner for two or a party for more!

Nice, intimate setting and perfect for a date night, or a small family party. The food never disappoints, and the staff are friendly.

Amazing! The food was just fantastic. Both of our meals were delicious! I had the crab stuffed flounder and my fiancé had the pecan crusted salmon! Could barely finish there was so much! And very reasonably priced! Such a sweet, relaxed yet romantic atmosphere and the staff is beyond friendly! So happy to have found this little gem! Highly recommend!! Update: We had our wedding here this past weekend and it was perfect!!! Beth and Lori and the whole staff were wonderful, helpful and so kind. The ceremony and reception were beautiful and the food was so so delicious. Their in house DJ Patrick was spot on and Don their florist went above and beyond! I could not have asked for anything better. Thank you!

We came for our gift exchange. Wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu items and made great recommendations we will be going back next Christmas!

We could not have imagined a better place to have our intimate destination wedding! Beth and the staff were so awesome. They worked with us to make our special day absolutely perfect. The chef even helped me with creating my idea in having a brunch, we came up with a waffle bar and the food turned out absolutely delicious. I still dream about eating it again. We also had our flower arrangements prepared through their vendors and they were beautiful. The venue itself is so gorgeous, and for a mid March morning wedding the weather was fantastic. I cannot rave about this wedding venue enough! Having my wedding there was like an absolute fairytale. The staff was so great about making sure we had everything we needed and that nothing was left out. It definitely took the stress out of it, making our special day even more special. All of our guests continue to tell us that this was the best wedding that they have ever been to! I definitely recommend them!

We've come here for many special occasions over the years, and the food, the servers, the lovely twinkle lights are always perfect. Relaxing and refined at the same time.

We went during Brunch and was seat immediately and the wait staff was very professional courteous and accommodating with all. We wanted an item off Brunch menu and they were able to give us exactly what we ordered. We were treated with such great service we booked our family gift exchange with them.

First of all I have to thank Laurie and Beth for their amazing help with planning and executing our rehearsal dinner. They overdelivered on what they promised and the food and experience was incredible. The venue for a rehearsal dinner and/or wedding would be amazing and I cannot recommend the atmosphere, the staff or the ambience enough. FYI if you’re planning an event around July time, when we were there scouting for venues the grapes were ripe on the vines which just added to the already amazing atmosphere. As a stand-alone restaurant the food is equally amazing. I highly recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding when available but everything is extremely high quality and incredibly delicious! This is by far one of the best restaurants in SA/NBTX area and I cannot recommend it enough!

We stopped by because it says it's a vineyard. To us, vineyard means they make wine. This is not the case here. We asked about wine tasting and were told they have wine but from other vineyards and that they are a restaurant. It was 3 pm at the time, so we were not even ready for dinner. I will say they were smoking some meat, and it smelled wonderful. If you are looking for a vineyard, this is not it.

Interesting venue. Interesting menu. Does not produce its own wines. More if a dinner or event location choice.

The team at Oak Valley made all of my wedding dreams come true! The food was amazing, everything was beautiful, and they handled nearly everything so the day of the wedding was a breeze. There were a few setbacks, communication errors, and lost boxes (the empty boxes to put glasses in), but overall we had a wonderful time as did our guests.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner in the outdoor pavilion for 70 people. The food was fantastic -- many of our guests raved about the meal! The pavilion is the perfect space for an event. There are tons of scenic areas for photos.

We had over 40 people celebrate our son’s graduation from Medical School. The staff was awesome! The food excellent and the wine is top notch. Thank you for the great event and accommodating our family is a few weeks. Completely recommend this hidden jewel!

The appetizers and entrees were delicious. The service was great. The grounds outside the restaurant were beautiful to stroll after dinner.

Our first time there and the service, food and atmosphere was terrific! We were a little surprised they don't make their own wine and a little disappointed that they don't offer wine tastings. It'd be so great if they did, then we could just purchase from them. However, the restaurant itself and grounds are pretty, the staff was very accommodating, the food was delicious and the Bloody Mary's were spicy! We were there for Sunday brunch.

I absolutely loved this place. The food is truly delicious…. I had the filet mignon and my friend got their chicken pasta… we were surprised! The dessert was also unique and melted in your mouth. Lastly, the wine was Ofcourse 10/10. They also have a beautiful wedding venue! The staff is friendly, warm and welcoming and I would recommend everyone visit!

This is a warm and cozy spot, delicious entrees, and terrific staff. Atmosphere was tainted by a group that carried on loudly with total disregard for other patrons.

This is such a beautiful vineyard and restaurant! It is a very small restaurant with a nice view of the vines and wedding/event venue. The service and food were phenomenal! We were a bit underdressed, as our visit was not previously planned, but I would definitely recommend a reservation. I got the Cajun Shrimp Eggs Benedict and was definitely not disappointed! My husband got the Chicken Pablano Alfredo, which was just as amazing. They had a nice wine menu with a good variety. Our server was wonderful, as was everyone we had talked to. Laurie, I believe her name was, also greeted us and chatted for a minute before we left. It was overall a very nice experience.

This was, unfortunately, the worst Mother's day experience. I wanted to surprise my mom with an amazing experience and thought that maybe this vineyard/restaurant was going to be great. However, they did this outside brunch buffet style. There were flies everywhere, they could never control them, they had this small fans on the tables that did nothing to them. They were on top of food, drinks I mean flies EVERYWHERE!! Also the food was horrible and definitely not worth the 65dls they charged per person. I am so disappointed and I rarely give bad reviews but this was a really bad experience. I hope they make it better this year or I at least hope people read my review before deciding to book for Mother's day brunch. I gave it 2 stars only because the place is beautiful.

Had my wedding here 03/19/2023 and I couldn't be happier. They were very accommodating and understanding! Everything was beautiful and they did everything in their power to ensure that my (now wife) and I had the PERFECT day!

This place is excellent. We may be biased because we know the chef. He had worked at our favorite place in Seguin many years ago. We just enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting event I would recommend to anyone. What a wonderful place

Wow, absolutely, amazing! Our waitress, Lory, was fantastic. She went above and beyond and provided us with outstanding service which is a rarity to experience in the current industry. The food was very delicious, portion was more than enough, and extremely fair pricing. Great assortments of wines from around the country and world. Dessert was ample for two people of share, again, they do not skimp on quality or quantity. We high recommend Oak Valley Vineyard and very much hope you have the same outstanding experience my wife and I had this evening.

Delicious! Their cauliflower risotto is the best I've had anywhere. The cold smoked steak is amazing. Pasta dishes are tasty, too. Highly recommend ordering family style to sample more of their food. Make sure to call ahead to ensure they aren't closed for an event.

I was expecting much more than what we got. I've worked in the high end banquet service industry, and experienced some inconsistencies. I can understand that the winter can present challenges in terms of keeping guests comfortable, but from turning the heaters on late, not allowing the room to heat up even slightly beforehand, to also leaving the door open, allowing very cold air to the room. Then the dinner buffet, when we got closer to the serving area, I saw the chef/cook come out to the buffet line, to see how much had been consumed so far, I heard him say that he would not be making anymore food, that sufficient amount remained for the rest of the people in line. So the rest of us received very small portions of salad, vegetables and potatoes, which may sound trivial, but I saw as being cheap and cheapened the entire experience for myself and others. While the beef entree was tasty, the experience was mired by the lack of effort by the banquet staff. Would I recommend this venue? Not in my opinion, no

Amazing dinner with excellent service. Our group of 4 enjoyed the Brie and Green Tomato appetizers. We had the smoke ribeye and the daily special which was crab stuffed red snapper. Both were outstanding. Highly recommended!

Awesome dinner with loved ones Sunday night after Thanksgiving. Excellent service even though they had a private wedding happening at the same time we were there. Very nice wine selection. I enjoyed the filet mignon, butternut squash soup & warm buttered bread served! Would definitely return!

September 24th 2022 Bride here... and WOW! I'm finding it difficult to put how great my experience was into words or where to even start... And to preface, not a SINGLE THING went wrong on my wedding day because of this place. **Pricing (something big for being a bride): I would have paid quadruple for the experience I had here. Everything outlined below was worth more than what we paid to be honest. If I'm being transparent, this venue is for every budget. No matter if your budget is Low to High, this place will feel like Hill Country Luxury no matter what. To top it off, you won't have to look far for your vendors. They work closely with quite a few optional vendors who rock. I had an open bar for the price of what most venues would only serve sodas for. **Staff: Holy mackerel. These people were UNSTOPPABLE!!!!!! Lori, Beth, and Team... just wow. Constant communication days even weeks before the wedding, making my vision come to life, and IMPECCABLE service. I mean, you tell Lori what you need, she will find a dang way to make it come true. The service staff were young, vivacious, great personalities, and fast. **Atmosphere: The most naturally beautiful ambiance you could imagine. It was vibrant and romantic at the same time. The reception hall was customizable and well built. The aisle walkway down to the flowery vine coated pergola where I said I do was enchanting. Being surrounded by butterflies, nature, and utter hill country silence made even that much better. **Food and Drink: The talk of everyone at the wedding was the food and drink. The Ribeye and The Chicken pasta we had, OH MY GOD!!!!!!! TO DIE FOR!!!!!! Guests thought we had hired a specialty chef to fly in from somewhere, when in fact the food was made in house. The drinks were phenomenal, and the specialty wine Lori PERSONALLY BROUGHT IN FOR US (I mean wow) truly was awesome. If there was a 5,000 star option, this place would get it. We loved working with you guys and we are so appreciative. Thank you for making our big day phenomenal.

I am a photographer and needed a space to take bridal portraits. This place was so cute and accessible and picturesque. All of the staff was so helpful and accommodating… i was so grateful for how amazing they were. I would definitely recommend for a small wedding — photos —& the food smelled great!

After having had several exquisitely prepared, scrumptiously tasting Sunday brunches, we recently attended our second wine pairing dinner. Both dinners were marvelously prepared and delightfully tasty. Each course and wine was explained by the chef and sommelier. Beth, the proprietor is a gem and her wait staff are very accommodating. It’s cool that Chef Paul greets each table and gives meal preparation info. OVV is nestled in a neat, serene setting. It doesn’t get better than this!

Nice ambiance. Server was very nice. I believe her name was Haley. We had a great time joking around especially about wine. She always came by to see if we needed anything. Definitely would recommend. We had the Brie appetizer. The parmesan dressing on the salad was very good. For our entrée we had the Gulf shrimp with orzo. Was rich and creamy. Planning on going back and trying the Gorgonzola and steak salad.
