The Olympian is a consistently good restaurant and has been forever. Georgia is wonderful- she is always friendly, kind, courteous and prompt. Our breakfast was brought to us quickly and was quite flavorful. The eggs benedict was very good as were the pancakes and vegetable omelette. This is a restaurant where the staff cares about and appreciates your patronage.

Look, you will have a hard time finding a restaurant is SLC that uses fresh spices and not dried. Even if you do find such a restaurant, you'll pay $30-$60 a plate. You most certainly won't findd a restaurant using fresh spices charging less than $20/plate. If you're looking at reviews to see if you want to go, just do it and order their marinated pork. You WILL NOT regret it. You'll walk away feeling like you underpaid and over ate.

Love the Greek salad, gyro and pretty much everything else they have!

A wonderful family restaurant that I plan on returning to soon. The staff and family all work together and coming into this restaurant makes you feel part of that family. Not the mention, the burger was the juiciest burger I've ever had. The waitresses are amazing and great, I could never find another place like this. Love the Olympian!

We ate there yesterday March 24, 2024 for the first time and the experience was amazing all around from food, service and atmosphere I recommend the restaurant Well done Sass, we were very pleased, we will be back soon.

I had the daily special. The food was tasty and the portion was huge. I took 1/2 of it home.

Ordered steak! It was bland and tough! Gravy on potatoes tasted awful no seasoning, rice was bland… service was as bad as the food! Not worth 57.00. I’ll stick to the the drive through greek spots.

I have eaten two different kinds breakfast and lunch as well from them. Each time I have eaten there it was amazing. The Olympic platter is amazing, not one thing was bad on it. Their waffles are so good you can taste the love. They have great bacon and not very many restaurants do but they do. Their eggs taste like fresh farm eggs, hashbrowns are perfectly cooked, and their butter and syrup is delicious. Their baklava was the best i have had from a restaurant and the other dessert that is like a burrito version of baklava with cream filling is good as well. They have more that look delicious but haven't tried them yet. The best thing they have out of all their stuff is their chicken rice soup. It is intoxicating. I always get a quart to go. It is lemony, buttery, brothy, and even if you are full you don't want to stop eating it. They are so nice and get your food to you fast as well. You fill like you are home. I wish I could eat there everyday but I live an hour and 15 minutes away.

Good tasting food and it was not too loud. You could actually carry on a conversation during your meal.

I've passed this place every time I come through SLC & had a craving for a good Greek salad. Saw they had amazing reviews, and since I was in my way out of town, I figured why not. A lowly middle-aged white woman walks in alone, chooses the stereotypical gyro, and of course, she asks for a substitute on the side choice... not the house salad, but a Greek one, because that's what I was really craving. Great decor 👌 lots to look at and honestly didn't even get a chance to look at my phone. Waitress was an absolute doll and very accommodating - apparently, other people request the Greek salad instead of the house! I wanted feta and cukes. The tomatoes. Ok, look, I'm the person who can grab a good garden tomato and eat like it like an apple and sprinkle with salt. Most places tomatoes are... mushy or way too much watery and seedy bits, not much of the tomato 'meat'. Oh no, not here. Big slices of tomatoes with plenty of the firm meaty parts and perfect texture. Real olives, crunchy cukes, sweet red onion, crunchy green pepper slices & banana peppers.. it perfectly hit the spot and everything so fresh. The gyro lamb meat was tender, and tatziki sauce was so fresh as well. Then of course my wonderful waitress asked if I'd like some dessert - there's only one Greek dessert I'd want and no place I'd ever been to ever actually had it - so as she listed off everything from cheesecake to baklava my heart sank... that's ok, I was satiated, didn't need any more food. But then she said it... "Oh, and we also have galaktoboureko," as if it's the most plain boring thing ever they could serve. My face absolutely GLOWED as I said yes, please! I honestly did not need any more food, I was that perfect fed but not filled or anywhere near full. As soon as she brought it out, though, soaking in syrup and a small roll of filo pastry wrapped custard, I dove in. So filling, so full, could barely move. Zero regrets. Will go again.

I finally found a place where pancakes are worth it 😋. The server was a really nice lady. Clean and pleasant place. Prices are fair.

In all the years I’ve lived in SLC, I’ve never dined at the Olympian. It is a cozy restaurant rented out for a Celebration of Life. The service was attentive and kind. Mary and Tony - the owners - came around to talk to everyone. The limited menu was delicious. Spanakopita, jalapeño poppers, meatballs, fruit salad, biscotti and baklava.

This cute restaurant is FABULOUS! The most beautiful thing is the people, it is a family business and they really make you feel at home, everyone is Super Friendly and affectionate and you can feel how the vibe of the place makes you feel good. Tony and Maria are a Greek couple and the most beautiful people you can meet, always with a smile and with many stories to enjoy and learn. The cooks and waitresses are their children, grandchildren and other people who became family. And OK let's talk for a moment about the food: Exquisite! Pork, potatoes and waffles were my favorite dishes. Hands up to the chef Kosta and our waitress Lola who made our brunch memorable! Every time I visit Salt Lake it is my safe stop. This place is a MUST if, in addition to eating delicious food, you want to look for a cozy and friendly place.

Our favorite breakfast spot in the valley. We come many times throughout the year, along with every Christmas eve. My husband has been coming here since he was a teen and now we have been bringing our family here for the last 14 years. Family restaurant that treats everyone like family and the food is the best!!

Food was good, seating was quick and service was top notch. Atmosphere was really good. While most reaturants tend to be plain chow halls with no decorations, this restaurant had personality. Iconic Greek restaurant in sugar house. Made a small mistake when ordering and got the Hercules breakfast, and to my surprise this things feeds like at least 3 people. It was a fun mistake. Great service good food at reasonable prices, great place for breakfast.

The Olympian appears to be a converted old Astro Burger, or the like. Upon walking in, it's very reminiscent of a Denny's restaurant. The food is standard American/ Greek American fare, and it's average. Nothing bad, but also, nothing very special about the Olympian. Also, be advised, the food is pretty greasy. The restaurant itself appears clean, but (at least while we were there) grossly over crowded. And oddly enough, although wait staff were teeming, the service was EXTREMELY slow. Once we, finally, placed our order, it was about 30 min before our breakfast was served. On top of that, our server didn't come back to check on us until we were well over half way through our meal, so it wasn't until then that I was able to ask her for the orange juice she'd forgotten. The orange juice was, unfortunately, not worth the wait. I'm pretty sure it was concentrate, from a can, that they added far too much extra tap water to, in order to stretch it... and the tap water, here, is AWFUL! I strongly advise against drinking it. Their city water is so bad that they really owe it to their clientele to install a water filtration system at the Olympian. Under certain circumstances, $100 for breakfast for 4 isn't horrible, but it is decidedly far too much for this place. I guess I can't complain too much about the Olympian, but conversely, I don't have any high praise for them either. Probably won't be back... unless I'm really hungry... and someone else is buying. 😁

ABSOLUTLY DISCUSTING !, from the moment I walked in the nasty ,Musty old Cigarette's smell about blew me away! I had the Gyro , and it was terrible , I couldn't even eat it , I threw it away!!! the meat looked like it was that impossible meat or something , but it sure wasn't good Gyro meat , the service was ok , nothing to write home about , just women doing they're jobs I, myself will never go there again , and wont recommend to anyone!! AMAZING! The portions are great, the service is awesome, the prices are impeccable and the hash browns are out of this world! It was a perfect portion, they were buttery, and you can add salt n pepper if you want a bit more of a hit. We went in for breakfast, just the basics and they were incredible. This is one of the restaurants I go to when I want to treat myself. I always get the gyro with the lemon chicken soup and a large Greek salad. I have tried other Greek restaurants, and this is my favorite. The last time we visited Utah from out of state, we drove the 45 minutes to get here so we could get my favorites. We haven't been able to find any Greek nearly as good where we moved. I wish we were checked on more often - we often have to flag down an employee - but all the employees are friendly and happy to help once we get their attention. Oh my heavens! How have I lived in Salt Lake for so long and not known about this gem! The have THE BEST customer service! And most importantly, my favorite food done to perfect, PANCAKES!
