Very disappointed with the quality of the food. The review rating was not accurate.

Very disappointing that you don’t have anchovies. This is a staple of Greek cuisine and is often requested for pizzas. Both of your waitresses did not even know what they were. Please add to your menu.

We just happened upon this Olympus Greek restaurant while we were in Johns Creek for an appointment. What a jewel of a place! The food was authentic, great tasting and plentiful. We started with the calamari which was absolutely amazing and our meals were delicious. We left full but couldn't resist taking some baklava home for later. It's an hour drive from our home in the mountains but we will definitely be back.

Stopped in here for lunch one day, and the first thing that occurred to me was how empty it was. It was lunch time, but there was almost nobody in this restaurant. Honestly, I can't figure out why. I ended up getting one of the gyro meat combo specials, it came with pita bread, hummus, and some excellent cuts of meat and the presentation and flavor could not have been better. Plan to return...

I recently had dinner with friends at Olympus Tavern in Johns Creek, and it is truly a hidden gem! The moment you walk in, you're captivated by the warm Greek atmosphere and the impressive display of desserts. The food is authentic, fresh, and generously portioned. The wine was excellent as well. A fantastic spot for a memorable dining experience!

What a disappointment! Waited 20 minutes in the parking lot for the restaurant to open at 11 (as posted). The workers began straggling in at 11:10. We asked if they were open and they said, “Give us about 20 minutes to prep before we can take any orders.” We left and went to the Mexican Restaurant down the plaza. Probably won’t ever return. It’s a shame after having such wonderful food in the past. Unacceptable. Oh my goodness! Great service! Great food! The owner: “This is your first time here? Have some baklava, fresh from the oven! My pictures are from my “take home box” on my plate at home! The picture of the Baklava is one of the two which she gifted us! Obviously 🙄, eating my leftovers left me no room for Baklava! Amazing food! Awesome service! I ordered the OMA platter and subbed Babaganoush for the Hummus. It’s enough for 3 meals. $19.95 well spent!

The food is excellent quality and the prices are reasonable for the large servings. The traditional Greek salad is wonderful and the lamb gyro is out of this world delicious. They also have a huge selection of fresh desserts, cakes, cheesecakes and cookies. This place is terrific.

Amazing Greek restraunt must try. You wont be disappointed.

We love Mediterranean food and this is our new favorite restaurant! They have some of the best falafel and hummus we have ever had, and they have a very nice authentic menu with many options. My husband has had their original gyro, their Greek pizza, and a calzone. We have had their falafel, hummus, Greek salad. I have had their chicken gyro and fries, and it is all amazing! The amount of food they give you and the quality of the food is so good especially for the price. They also have a wonderful health food score which is always the deciding factor first for us. Their staff are friendly and personable and attentive. We love Elpida and her mom, Maria! We will be regulars for sure! Thank you!

Philly cheese gyro and the Greek salad with pork souvlaki was wonderful. Huge portions, very tasty. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza.

Best Greek food ever!!! The manager Maria and her husband do an amazing job keeping the food authentic and of incredible flavor and quality. My family and I have come to this restaurant for a long time, and the food is consistently flavorful, delicious, and generous portions. We asked her one time and she mentioned it’s all in the ingredients! She sources so much from Greece including salt, honey, and yogurt. The family is most hospitable and incredibly friendly every time we come. Sincerest compliments to the chef and the entire team! We love coming here!! 🤩

This place is really delicious and has excellent and attentive stafff. Their dolmades are very tasty, seem fresh, and 6pcs is a good amount of food. Their gyros are large, full of well cooked meat, and have a good amount of lettuce and tomatoes, but have way too much onions (based on having gyros multiple times, both dine in and take out). Their Greek potatoes (i.e. lemon potatoes) are also really delicious but pretty expensive for the amount you’re getting. Their spanakopita is good, but is on the dry side - I love it cooked like that, but be aware if you prefer a non-dry version I would keep your expectations in check if you order it here. Falafel is not worth eating - dry, crumbly, and overall not very flavorful. Their tzatziki sauce is REALLY good and makes a great dipping sauce for gyro platters and fries. Baklava is ok, but nothing remarkable compared to other places in the area. Overall I’d say they consistently have the best gyros in Gwinnett. Rose and Olive nearby is also really good but Olympus will be getting my gyro business moving forward.

This is our go-to Greek restaurant in the area. The food is always delicious! We always seem to end up taking home a dessert as well, which are always very good! We definitely highly recommend Olympus Creek Taverna!!

I love this restaurant and it has become one of my favorites. Everything is good and fresh here. I am a big fan of the gyro and the pizzas are excellent. If you like gyro's, definitely try the "world's best greek pizza" - it has all the toppings that you'd find in a gyro and is incredible.

Great interiors and lovely Atmosphere. Food was very good and tasty. Was tired of going to Mexican and Thai, then I looked into this. It was good experience but little expensive than I thought offf. Dint like the Red Velvet Cookie Cake($13.95) and Baklava was not soft to chew, they are not fresh and not juicy as well.

This place has one of the best gyros. I love gyros, but it’s hard to find places with chicken gyros that taste delicious and this place got it!

Lovely family restaurant with Greek staples and super nice people. A buddy of mine suggested this place after he’s eaten there a few times. I was not disappointed! I had the gyro and fries and it was delicious. My wife had the pizza and loved it. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals and the dessert was tremendous as well.

Words fall short to describe the kind of special that you will find at Olympus Greek Taverna. This is a very proud family owned business with the home made recipes to prove it!! My husband and I had the "My big Fat Greek Wedding special" and the saganaki. Not only was our meal indescribably delicious, but they brought our saganaki out and lit it on fire in traditional fashion! I would like to note that immediately upon entry this restaurant showcased a traditional atmosphere that was tasteful, beautiful, and clean, unlike most Greek restaurants one usually might find. Maria, spent time with us discuss and describing every aspect of the family owned recipes and traditions. Her daughter, Elpida, served us cheerfully with the same family pride. My husband who, has been to Greece, (I have not yet) said that thus was the closest to the actual food of the country he's ever found in the US I could continue describing everything that makes this restaurant amazing but we would be here all day. With spectacular food, service, atmosphere, and tradition I cannot recommend Olympus Greek Taverna enough!

We have been looking for a quality Greek restaurant and have found it. The food is amazing, freshly made every day. The wine and the salad and meal is beyond comparison to anything else's out there. We have found a home. Or at least that the way we feel when we are here.

I had a great lunch date right before a surprise party started in the rest of the beautifully decorated restaurant. The service was just as amazing as the food. I had the Opa Gyro Platter and my date had a pizza. I don't know which one was better but I will definitely be back to try more items and next time I'll try to save room for desert!

Best place for real, authentic Greek food! By far best restaurant in Johns Creek. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu - everything’s delicious and always fresh. I usually get the Big Fat Greek Wedding dish to share. Owners are from Greece and truly wonderful people. You can tell how much thought and love they put into all of their dishes. 🇬🇷💙

Came here for dinner with my fiancé and we were blown away. The food was so fresh and everything tasted amazing. I highly recommend the saganaki which they flambé table side. They have the most incredible cakes and cheesecakes too. Our server was not very attentive but was very nice along with the rest of the staff so I’ll let it slide. You get a ton of food for your money. We will definitely be back!

I have lived in 7 states, and tried gyros in at least a dozen Greek restaurants. These are likely the best gyros I've had the pleasure of enjoying. The tzatziki is good, the meat is flavorful. The staff are friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for gyros this restaurant is the place to go if you live in the Atlanta metro.

This is such a hidden gem, immediately when you walk in you are impressed by the warm Greek atmosphere and endless display of desserts. The food is authentic fresh and plentiful. Do not miss the Greek salad pizza and the traditional lemon chicken soup! Both are insanely good!

This is our second time here and compared to other Greek restaurants, we prefer Olympus. We made a special trip here today just to eat the delicious food. Service has been good as well. We will be back again.

We had a great experience at that place! Saganaki was delicious as well as beef gyro that was so juicy when usually in another Greek restaurants it’s too dry. And Baklava was amazingly delicious, the best Baklava that I have ever had in any restaurant! We will come back to this restaurant many and many times!

My wife and I have been coming here ever since they have opened the doors. Back then, they didn't even have their beer and wine license. The food is always delicious and the owners are very friendly. I have never had a bad meal here. Portions are very generous. Theor dissert selection is not only large, but very delicious. Great for business lunch meetings, date night and family dinner.

Incredible food and service! This is our go to place for Greek and pizza! Pizza is hand made dough daily and all ingredients are fresh. The are also a tremendous supporter in the community and with Northview High School. Highly recommend!

The food was fantastic here! The feta fries were a highlight along with the desserts. We ordered the Yaya special and the open faced gyro, both were well proportioned. The service was good as well. I highly recommend their cakes!

I had the largest gyro 🥙 and it is huge. My son had the chefs special, which was a large portioned layered egg plant with pasta and sauce. The mixture of the authentic Greek food, the clean, beautifully decorated Greek inspired decor, music, and the family that cook and serve the food makes this a must on Foodies bucket list!

I have eaten Greek food in many US states and can vouch for the authenticity and quality of this restaurant. My lamb and beef gyro was perfectly seasoned and topped with delicious tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Fries were made to order and tasty. My wife enjoyed a 10” pizza that smelled and tasted great! We did not have room for dessert, but the refrigerated cases were filled with beautifully made Greek and American desserts. They were hard to pass by. What a great dining experience!

I'm not sure what everyone else is ordering from here, but we ordered a thin crust pizza and baklava. BOTH were inedible. Pizza was overcooked and hard as a rock. Baklava was off tasting puff pastry with simple syrup. Maybe someone else will have better luck, but we will not partaking of their food again. Waste of money

Walked in at 8:25 tonight and was told that they closed at 9:00 so no service, however we were welcome to put in a to go order. On a Saturday night they turned away business even though their kitchen was still open. Giving two stars because food has always been excellent in the past, but sorry, no thanks, we won’t be back.

I had the half chicken with rice, green beans, lemon potatoes. Very good. We door dashed it and it was still very warm when it arrived. Great change form what I normally eat.

We will NOT be returning to Olympus restaurant. It's sad, as my wife and I enjoy the fresh, flavorful food and general atmosphere. The reason: young waiters who hover and make PAYMENT awkward. A portable credit card reader is now used at the table necessitating some basic instruction. I asked him (no name-tag, no introduction) to leave while my wife perused the bill and calculated a tip. He smiled but made no exit. I said it again, he laughed and turned around in mocking gesture. Others may not need the "privacy" but we like it and honoring it shouldn't be a point of petty pride. He got his tip, though, something we regretted later. Here's one more tip for the happy waiter: "Have a nice day."

Massive portions and very good food! We ordered a variety of things from here now and have yet to be disappointed. Their cakes are also ginormous and you should try their desserts. They have a good wine list.

We came to this restaurant after it was highly recommended to us! This is the BEST Greek restaurant we’ve ever been to and my family loves Greek food! The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. The food was fresh, homemade and absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The owner was so kind to my family. I came for lunch with my husband and literally came right back for dinner with my son and will probably be back tomorrow 😊

Very disappointing. I have been to Many Greek restaurants and this one was the worse this far. The food was not good at all. Terrible presentation, bad taste, and not worth the price. The outdoor seating was dirty and uncomfortable. Service was Ok but just ok. I went there based on the high rating and I don’t understand how It got 4.8. Needless to say, I will not go there again.

I am so happy we found this restaurant. We have gone twice now and have been impressed both times. Their gyro is called "The biggest and best in town" and it lives up to its name. We tried some Greek pizzas tonight and even though a gyro pizza sounds weird it was delicious. Not sure what we were expecting with the Greek salad pizza but it is literally just a Greek salad on pizza dough. This is a great spot to try out some different cuisine than what we normally have around John's Creek

We used Olympus Greek Taverna for a graduation party. I don't usually do reviews but this was such a great experience that I wanted to be sure to share. The food (gyro meat, chicken gyro, pita, tzaziki, baklava) was delicious. Everyone was asking where we got the food because they were so impressed. But even better than the food was the service provided by the owners/managers. Wanted to give a shout out to Maria who helped me with my order. She was so kind and helpful. She also made sure to have everything ready on time for pick up. It was also a terrific value for how much food we ordered. 10/10 experience and can't wait to go back for dine in!

Best Greek food I’ve ever eaten in the United States. So comparable to the actual food in Greece. Can’t believe it.

I've been here 3 times now, the most recent we rented the back room to celebrate my Greek grandmothers 90th birthday. Every time the food and service has been outstanding. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and every food item I've had is tasty and feels more authentic then most Greek restaurants in the area. The cake and pastry refrigerator at the front is just a plus with a huge selection. I highly recommend to anyone looks for a consistent and fairly priced restaurant in the area.
