Great food, and friendly staff. Hard to get waiter/waitress attention for more coffee. But there was a lot of training going on.

Are breakfast here. Coffee was not good. Steak and eggs left a lot to be desired. Ordered steak medium rare. It came brown on the outside and rare, not medium rare. Sent back to kitchen. Came back the second time, medium well. Not recommended. The Western omelet was good. The fried potatoes were of the frozen variety and over cooked. Toast and English muffin were barely toasted. Overall not worth the $33.00 price tag for two breakfasts.

Hours say open till 1:30. Got there at 11:30 am and they were closed. Called they are only open till 10:30 am. Why bother opening at all.

Definitely not closed. Good food great home town environment. New cook is doing a great job, just a bit slow. It’s sturgis rally weekend so god help his soul lol

Awesome small town Cafe. Staff was great, coffee was on point and the food didn't disappoint. We were up in the area on vacation for the 4th of July weekend. Our Place was the only spot in the area open by 0600 so we took the chance, and glad we did.

Great spot for traditional breakfast, owner was pleasant and came to talk to us, real down home place. Food is on par with what you would expect, cooked well.

Horrible, never even think of coming here. It took 1 1/2 hours to get our order, another hour to get our food, and the food was cold, waiter was too busy talking to other customers about family matters, waiter was pulled and fired during their shift, they wouldn't check to us so we had to ask them to bring it. Never in my life, will I go here again, and I hope no one else does.

This is a place where locals do come to hang...eat...gossip...AND ENJOY. My family came for a visit and the food did not disappoint at all. I read reviews stating can take a while to get food. But ours came out in a timely manner and even if it took an hour the food would have been worth the wait. The service was EXCELLENT and the pricing was GREAT. Please support local businesses and have some GRACE....if ever back this way will stop here. Planning another stop in before leaving town and will for sure take pics of the food and include.

We went here for breakfast and the food was delicious! We were greeted and waited on a lovely lady, Diane, the owner. She was very personable and took good care of us! We will be back!

What a perfect little diner! We had such a great experience visiting with the staff! The food was phenomenal and worth the wait! The owner's teenage grandson was a hoot! We had such a great experience there. We can't wait to book another trip out here again and hope to see that Iowa Hawkeye coffee mug hanging up with the rest of the collection! It literally took an hour for us to get our breakfast order. The server was not friendly and the food was average if I'm being generous.

Don't come here if your starving, because it takes forever to get your food. Wouldn't recommend this place

In Custer for vacation. We went in to eat breakfast and only 4 tables were taken. We had two others coming to meet us. Waitress said the only tables that are cleaned is over in the corner. There was a table for 6 so we sat there. The booths are very small and we have 2 boys that would not fit on the one side. After 8 minutes the waitress came over and said “oh no you can’t sit there “. That table is for 6. We explained we have 2 others coming and the booth would not be big enough. She proceed to say it doesn’t matter you can’t sit here this is for a party of 6. I could see if they were busy but the place was almost empty. Needless to say we decided to just leave. Rude waitress!

Food and service were Amazing. We had the omelets and hashbrowns. Portions were very generous. The owner/server had little magnetic toys to keep our son entertained while we waited. Best coffee! Wholesome homecooked breakfast.

I had a nice breakfast. All the food was delicious. The one cake meal was excellent. The pancake was huge. I also ordered a side of hash browns. Very tasty.

Best breakfast ever !!!. Stopped there with my family and we all ordered different meals. My omelet was so good. We all had wonderful food and the owners totally rocked . I recommend this place to everyone because you won’t find a better breakfast in the hills !!!!

It's my dad's favorite breakfast spot he takes us to every time we come out and visit. The coffee is a little weak, the food is very basic, but it's a great value and a small town diner vibe. Don't ever change it, Steve!

Really enjoyed visiting this diner while on vacation. Good classic diner breakfast food, quirky atmosphere, and the owners and staff were so friendly. They even had toys for our toddler to play with.

5 of 5 all the way around! Service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We each had traditional breakfasts and 1 very large pancake! Eggs were cold perfectly to our order, hash browns were crispy and flavorful, thick bacon and a large sausage patty. Will definitely return!

Stopped here while visiting Custer. Waited 30 minutes just to get coffee and water. Waited over an hour to get our food. All of the food was cold and/or undercooked. When the poor quality of the food was brought to the attention of our waitress all she had to say was "oh we never get complaints". I would never recommend eating here to anyone.

In my opinion, do not eat at this restaurant. They charge us for food we didn't eat. They are bad business to eatcat.

When we arrived, the feeling I got from the restaurant wasn't very welcoming. The servers were quiet and didn't really seem friendly. It was not as welcoming as I'd of hoped.. we did get to choose where to sit, which was nice. After being seated, it took about 40 minutes just for us to order our food..and an additional 20 minutes or longer to get it and when we did receive our food, my eggs were not fully cooked, and my hashbrowns weren't fully cooked..but the sausage links were burnt and crispy. It was about $15 per person for breakfast, and of which I felt was a bit high for the quality of food. I'm usually not a picky person or even someone who makes complaints, but this has got to be one of the worst restaurants I've been to in the South Dakota area. I will not come here again.

First and foremost I understand being busy and waiting an hour for food is fine with me. But tables were too close. Talked with the waitress one time to order. No one checked on us after. If staff would have been trying a little more it would have made the experience better.

Good food and friendly people, even though this is their busiest week of the year (Sturgis Bike Week). I can highly recommend this family friendly restaurant.

Stopped here on our way out of Custer for breakfast and while I don’t like to knock mom and pop places; I was less than impressed regarding service. The food was good, but it was the service that knocked this place. We were sat promptly and we got our drinks. But afterwards, I never got a refill until our food came out an hour after ordering. They seemed to have 1 server and 3 “runners”. The place was not crowded with about 7 tables of groups of 2-5. If you’re okay waiting, check this place out but if you don’t want to spend close to an hour waiting for your food; go somewhere else.

Mom and Pop type Cafe - breakfast we had was phenomenal. The pancakes are the size of your head and delicious!

Great food, even better waitress. We (4) all enjoyed what we ordered. Our waitress (from Jamaica) was hard working, very busy, yet attended to all her tables admirably. Probably the best waitress we’ve had in a long time.

First, I have to say that the food was good. When I was there with my wife and my mother, the service was bad. When we were seated and was given our water to drink, we noticed that they had cut the straws in half with scissors... one end of the straws were pinched and open. We were one of two groups in the restaurant, and that group had their food delivered to them shortly after we sat down. I had a burger, my mother had a grilled ham and cheese, and my wife had a French dip. It took over 30 minutes for them to bring out our food.

Busy place to go to but good food

This was a fun place to stop for breakfast! When we went it was moderately busy and took close to and hour to get our food. Our server was nice and the food tasted great! It was a little pricey though for what we got.

I never leave reviews, but this place is awful! Please don't waste your time. The food was ok, but for context, any chain breakfast place is better. It took us nearly two hours to get eggs, hash browns and toast. The owner was also extremely rude to customers.. I cannot fathom how this place stays in business.

New favorite breakfast place. UPDATE: Went there on Saturday June 16th. We got sat immediately, given water and our order taken immediately. After that, crickets. We waited an hour and a half for our food. Not once during that time, no one came to our table to see how we were doing, offered any explanation or anything. When the owner found out I was unhappy she blamed me and said I should have gone somewhere else. I was pleasant and nice but she was not. I will probably not go back there after they way she treated me. She needs a lesson in customer service.

It was a very good breakfast with a lot of variety. Only thing is it seems like they need more servers. A couple walked out while we were there because they weren't being waited on.

The wait staff was good. Coffee was good. Food was fair.

RUDE PEOPLE. THROWING menus and asking our party to scoot down the edge of the table so she can seat others AT THE SAME table as us. DIANA should not be in the business of serving people. WILL NOT BE RETURNING and definitely NOT recommending this place to our renters in our AirBnBs.

Went here for breakfast after our hot air ballon experience which is right across the street. Doesn’t look fancy on the outside, but the breakfast was delicious. Just like a home cooked meal. Ended up going here more than once for breakfast. The pancakes are as big as a large plate and very fluffy. You only need one. The omelettes were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Our Place is a breakfast gem. My chili omelette with crispy hash browns came out exactly as ordered. Delicious. Home town atmosphere.

Good food, reasonable prices, friendly service, but slow. Bring a book and don't be in a hurry to be anywhere.

This place is wonderful. They have a small and friendly staff. The food was really good. Good enough for me to write a review and sing some praise. Portions and pricing are very fair and good. The omelette in the picture is "3 eggs" but it looks like 5 or 6. The place has funny signs and caters more towards an adult audience but nothing too crazy for kids to see. I really enjoyed my experience and recommend others to come enjoy too! Our place made me feel like I was at our home with the environment and quality of food.

Went to Our Place for breakfast on our visit to the Black Hills/Custer, and I'd definitely go back again. Food was excellent, portions were large and prices were on par for what we got. Definitely a mom & pop type of atmosphere, but not out of the ordinary for a small-town cafe. Our waitress had a little fun with my 13 year old son when he ordered the short stack of pancakes, which includes two cakes. She suggested he just have one pancake, but he was adamant he wanted two, so she made a bet with him: if he could eat BOTH of the (huge) pancakes, she'd give him a dollar, but if he couldn't eat everything, my son would owe her 10 push-ups. She said she's made this bet before and has paid out the $1 only once in the past. Our son made it twice, to her (and our) amazement, because the cakes really were HUGE. All in all, a fun experience where we weren't expecting it. Great staff, excellent food. 10/10 would go again.

Cute little breakfast place in custer. Can order normal breakfast food such as eggs, omelets, pancakes and French toast. Server was nice and waited on everyone, very nice and efficient. Food was hot and good. Thought it to be a little pricey, but it's a tourist town.

Very friendly owner. Knowledgeable about gluten. Knew her polish sausages were gluten free (and very good) offered me fruit in lue of bread. The meals were huge! Great value and nice home town place.

The conversation is as good as the food. Get to know the Custer locals who hang out at the middle table for breakfast. Service is great too.

On a recent cross country road trip, with a stop in Custer, SD. we had the pleasure of having breakfast at Our Place! A Great locals joint/greasy spoon that should not be missed. Great Coffee, Great home cooking along with great service made this the best breakfast of the entire trip. Great prices too! The country benedict was perfectly outstanding, along with fresh hot coffee made the an incredible breakfast. Don’t miss this place or should i say….Our Place. Looking forward to the next time we are in Custer and stopping in. Overall Rating ~ Excellent

11/25 my daughter and I visited your restaurant at 8:45. We ordered an omelette and a waffle with strawberries. At 9:32 we still have not been served. During our wait, I witnessed four couples who arrived after us but were served before us. This is unacceptable!!!! We arrived before it got busy.

We had breakfast there this week. We both enjoyed our meals. The service was great. The restaurant has been refurbished and is very clean and welcoming. Nice people to visit with. I would recommend this unreservedly.

We picked this from Trip Advisor Reviews, hoping to get a good breakfast before heading out to visit Jewel Cave. It was packed with customers and a kind person offered to share a table. We were prepared to be patient as the place was clearly crowed. But, as the tables cleared, we still hadn't place our order and once we finally did, there were only a few tables full. It still took 45 minutes from when we ordered to when we finally got our breakfasts. When they did come, they were lukewarm, the toast was missing, and we had to hunt down syrup for the pancake. We are not pushy people and can be patient but when we asked the server after 30 minutes about when we might get our meals, she was surly and unhelpful saying, " I'm not cooking." Breakfast is not rocket science and this is a place that is supposed to specialize in breakfast. It shouldn't take 45-50 minutes to get your meal and it should at least be hot when you get it. We didn't have anything unusual - eggs and pancake, and a chili omelette with toast. The place was not full and the server was never apologetic. It was a really unpleasant experience in a town where we have had 2 superlative dinners. I don't think it is unreasonable to get a breakfast order in 30 minutes and have it delivered hot and accurate.

We came in a Friday morning at about 8 am and got seated right away. Soon after there was a crowd standing to get in. Waitress was friendly and took our order right away. We ordered the biscuits with sausage and scrambled eggs on top smothered in gravy with hash browns. A half order is plenty. Only get the full order if you have a hearty appetite! It was very good. There was a variety of items on the menu. The decor was a bit worn but it definitely was worth a stop for the filling breakfast and we would come back again.

Cole slaw was really good. Fries were okay. Hamburger meat was dry and not good, DQ down the street has better quality hamburger meat which is sad. I didn’t try breakfast so maybe that’s their strength.

Our family is big on going out for breakfast and this place did NOT disappoint! The breakfast was delicious and if we are ever back in the area, you can bet that we will return! Our service was great, the food was great and the tables were clean!
