Employees were very friendly. We ordered the Philly steak and cheese. Toppings all looked very fresh. The sandwich was very good and they loaded up the toppings for me! Cookies were also delicious. The restaurant was very clean.

Happy staff and great sandwiches. The restaurant was clean and everything was stocked. The 6 of us ate together as they were able to make the sandwiches quickly and delicious. Great place for a quick bite to eat and avoid the hot crowded spots and tourist prices.

As a former Subway employee, all I can say is this Subway location is PERFECT. Bathrooms are pristine, staff is friendly and welcoming, veggies are fresh, and it’s not overpriced like other locations. Keep up the good work!

Needed dinner after 9 pm. for takeout back to the campground. Open til 9 pm. Wanted healthier choices.

Clean Subway with the usual fare. Friendly service and loved that it didn't close down at 8 pm like some of the others we ran across on our trip. Some outdoor seating available. Nice stop to grab a good sandwich at a convenient location when first entering Custer.

The only place open at 9:00 serving food. The young men working were so very polite and nice. Sergio and I'm sorry I have no idea how to spell the young man from Mongolia's name but they impressed me so much I asked for a selfie with them! My sandwich was delicious as well!!!

Dont know why they put hours of operation on the door cause they just close when they wont i understand its slow but dont schedule some ppl so you dont have the over head, maybe update your webpage to say hours of operation varies... it was 7pm on a sunday the date was 4/10/2022 and it all says updated hrs open till 8pm not very good service

Fast service. Clean. And the young peeps working had a great sense of humor. Was giving grief over no raspberry cheesecake cookies. Ugh what??? I needed to get work done on vacation and the kids wanted to hang out at the hotel so we opted for Subway. We go to Subways probably a couple of times a month and were surprised at how good this one was! In the arid and remote high plains, we noticed a lot of places were struggling to get produce, which makes sense. But our sandwiches were packed with super fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers etc.

Seemed pricey, but it is a tourist town. Staff very nice, had to wait a bit for the food, thinking it was because they just opened. This was via drive thru, which is super convenient when you are literally on your way to the hills. Sanwiches were okay. But for just a few dollars more you can get an awesome burger in town.

We grabbed dinner while in the area. Nice access to Custer State Park enabled us to continue to enjoy our day there while not straying far from the park. Food was as expected.

Stopped at Subway, in Custer, SD today, enroute to Custer State Park. The store was immaculate, the staff upbeat and friendly. The sandwiches, all three were well made with fresh ingredients. Also ordered three cookies, which were very good. Enjoyed our lunch at a Sylvan Lake picnic table. Higly recommend, This will be our stop on future trips to the hills.

Did not eat here. Walked in to order a quick lunch for the family. Walked out when I saw employees making sandwiches without masks or face shields or other precautions. The staff were talking to customers while handling ingredients. As COVID-19 is spread by respiratory droplets (resulting from breathing & talking), I did not feel comfortable eating sandwiches potentially sprinkled with the virus.

I eat a lot of subway and one of the guys there made a commercial-worthy sandwich out of the 5 my family ordered. And done with a smile

The poor review is because the staff members making our sandwiches were not wearing masks. The COVID rates may not be super high in SD yet, but with all of the tourists visiting, these numbers will surely rise. Having been sick for 3 months with the virus, I was disappointed that Subway does not take this more seriously.

I eat here often, and usually don’t have any issues other the fact they’re usually pretty slow. So I’ve recently started placing orders online, and haven’t had any issues until today. I placed an online order from work at 9:30 for two subs, one toasted and one not. The pickup time was 9:50. My mom got there at 9:53 and the order hadn’t been started yet. They explained to her that they didn’t know they’d received an online order. She had to be to work at 10 and had to leave without picking up the subs. That part was no big deal, just a little annoying. I called to ask for a refund and explained the situation to the manager Cici, who was incredibly rude. She talked over me, interrupted me, and told me that toasted subs aren’t made until just before the pick up time, even though they hadn’t been started at all. I was told that I wouldn’t be refunded, but that they would hold the untoasted sub until after I got out of work, 6 hours later. But I still wouldn’t be refunded for the toasted sub. I explained that I wasn’t interested in picking up my sub after 6 hours and I just wanted a refund and was told no. 10 minutes after the call, I received an order cancellation and a refund number. But the interaction I had with Cici was incredibly frustrating. And as the only manager, there’s no one to hold her accountable for treating customers poorly.

Drive up is now open, they had our sandwiches done in the time they said they would have, but put wrong sauce on one sandwich, otherwise I would have given them a 5 star rating.

Had the roasted chicken on flatbread and husband had cold cut 6 inch sub. Mine was full of chicken along with my condiment choices and my husband was full and well made. Tasty was both. So for a filling reasonable meal,stop in. They also serve soup.

Beyond full sit down restaurants there are not a lot of fast food places to eat so this works out great. The store is modern and had a long line the entire time I was there eating. This place has free WiFi which is the telephone number from the receipt. Long line but the counter moved fast.

If you are hungry! and want to visit Mt Rushmore you should order to take out and have a great meal sitting in front of the great head scupltures. I've traveled in the Statesmany times and for me this Subway is one of the greatest, I ordered a footlong and I had a lot of veggies and meat it was great. and in my recepit i got a discount cupon form my next order in any kind of footlong! If I visit Custer one more time, I would definitely go to that Subway again!

It's Subway where do you go wrong getting a sub you want love the BMT toasted with all the trimmings.

We had wraps, subs, and pizzas and the food was very well prepared, fresh, and everyone was very satisfied. The employees were very friendly and accurately prepared multiple orders. They weren't that busy, but it took longer than we're accustomed to at other Subways.

This is a great place for any meal of the day (as long as its a sub sandwich). They do make every effort to have quality food and beverages available.
