Food was very good. The service was good also. Prices and portions were on par with other restaurants. Other than the loud group near us the atmosphere was good.

I had read a few reviews that this was a great place. To my pleasant surprise, I happened upon it one night and decided to give it a try. It was everything I hoped it would be - nice dining area with cool a/c, friendly service, and the food was absolutely incredible! I had the Hunan Beef and it was the kind of Chinese you always hope you will find, but seldom do. The sauce was scrape-your-plate tasty, a perfect amount of heat, and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Even the wontons were delicious! I will be back...many, many times.

We recently had a family celebration (15 people) and ordered a large amount of food, with delivery. The food was delicious! The delivery was prompt and the service was excellent.

We ordered the Crab Rangoon and Chicken LoMein. The Crab Rangoon's were sweet and gritty and not anything I have ever had!😵‍💫The Chicken LoMein was tasteless with one exception the oil! Our first time ordered here and won't be ordering here again! Way over priced compared to everywhere else.

I didn’t really like the food here. I got the basics ( chow mein, fried rice , hot and sour soup) and the only thing I liked is the fried rice. The chow mein was watery and not much flavor. Hot and sour soup was neither hot or sour. I am confused of the high rating of this restaurant.

Being from Boston. It's hard to find good Chinese food up in Maine.... Just that normal old school yummy Chinese. Well.... Look no further, hands down the best non-specialty normal Chinese food. You're going to get exactly what you're ask for It's going to be cooked phenomenally and the flavors are going to be on point. I've been to every Chinese food place in southern Maine. This IS the spot

I ordered delivery from Panda Garden while staying at the Hilton Garden Inn near PWM. They went out of their way to deliver to me and I wasn’t disappointed! Their Pupu platter was top-notch, even including orange and white shredded crab in the crab ragoon and the oil tasted very fresh/clean. The egg drop soup was heartier than other places with more proteins. I also tried noodle wontons in a peanut sauce and the sauce was so rich and flavorful. Next time I’m flying out of PWM I’m going to order here again!

The food was fair. The hot sour soup was the only thing we liked. We asked for med spice on our two choices of pork with eggplant and Panda trio. Neither of them had really any spicing. There was very little sauce not even enough to coat the rice. We are still looking for good Chinese food in the area.

We did a pickup order. We were there in less than 5 minutes, our food was already bagged up. When we got home our food was ice cold. Very disappointing, won’t try again.

Missed my mobile order so I had only a short wait. Food was worth the wait.

We ordered a pu pu platter for 2. Food was delicious and prepared quickly. We were the only customers in house, other than one lady. So, food got to us quickly. Boneless ribs were particularly tender. Egg rolls had shrimp in them (don't think I've seen that before). People who work there are super nice and very attentive to patrons. The artwork on the walls is incredible. There are 3 fish tanks with some gorgeous fish in them. It was a nice surprise to see a sea urchin in there. I've never seen them up close. They're very interesting looking. Since food and service were amazing, would go back there anytime I have the chance.

It’s simply not good. Boneless Spare Ribs were dry and the Lo Mein had some odd overwhelming flavor. Ended up throwing it all away. Portions weren’t worth the price as well.

Honestly, the best chinese food around. Unfortunately, the price has gone up and the quantity has gone down so you get double whammied. But it is still the best around.

Some of the best Chinese food I've had in years. 3 of us left happily with full bellies. We had pu pu for 2, and 3 luncheon combos of sweet and sour chicken, garlic chicken and the chicken and shrimp combo. The wonton soup had a very nice flavor to the broth. Always prompt and friendly service. We'll be back.

Panda Garden might possibly be the best Chinese food you can purchase for miles! The staff is always friendly. The food always is fresh and delicious! Never had a bad experience here. It can get quite busy on the weekends here so take that into consideration when dining in, or ordering takeout.

I got a hot and sour soup, pu pu for 1 and sesame chicken. None of it was good. The soup was flavorless, the pu pu was nothing special. The wings were horrible and the sesame chicken was tiny pieces of chicken and was like eating chicken candy. I won’t be back.

The food here was so great!! Our last place we went to changed.. they upped the prices and started giving less food. Panda Garden was a great price for the food! Delicious!!

Terrible Over priced, lacks any flavor, small portions, and cold. Ordered a platter for 2 and steamed dumplings for snack on movie night. We only live 5 minutes away. Portions were unbelievably small. 3 inch teriyaki strips that you couldn’t chew. BBQ pork was paper thin, dried out, and in tiny crumbled pieces. Chicken fingers were tough, greasy, and an inch long, at best. Dumplings were ice cold. We wondered if they were even cooked. Nothing tasted like anything and we fed it to the dogs. Will never return.

Panda is our place for special family meals when we want Chinese. Always great service and excellent food at a fair price. They have not been in business for so long without reason! A must try if you love Chinese food, especially their lunch specials. If you like General Tso chicken be sure to try their Empress chicken it won't disappoint. The hot and sour soup is probably the best in the area.

We’ve been patrons of PG for 33 years and our loyalty was due to consistency of high food quality, lovely presentation, and reasonable prices. Since the unfortunate stress of the pandemic, however, we have been disappointed in all of the above. We dined inside this week and the food was uninspiring with rather sloppy presentation. Not at all appealing, rather tasteless, and higher priced. We don’t begrudge higher prices but when they don’t match the food quality, then we feel compelled to search for other options. It’s just not the same at Panda Garden in all respects so we sadly will not be back.

First time eating here; very nice staff, short wait time. Food lacks flavor and is of a little less than average quality. (Wonton soup - too much wrap, nearly invisible bit of meat.) Food was to-go and packed nicely. Will not be returning.

I could not rave about this place enough. Everything was DELICIOUS. Delicious would be an understatement, everything was sooooooo good. I was in awe with every bite. The steamed veggie dumplings and sesame chicken were so flavorful. You could tell a lot of thought and authenticity goes into the food. The chicken was crispy and bursting with flavor in every bite and fantastic quality.

Get the chicken teriyaki - you will not regret it.

$73 for two people! Skimpy portions, cooked until chewy, wanted two combo plates but they are scam artists and rang every item in as large sides. SCAMMERS. Ended up with a bag full of enough rice to feed a small country and two ridiculously small portions of chicken. Avoid this place.

My favorite Chinese place to eat ....never disappointed. Takeout is generally all ready and waiting when you arrive to pickup, and still nice and hot ........way to go!!!

Was a little disappointed that none of the extensive lunch menu had tofu. I had to buy a dinner meal. But it was the best fried tofu I've ever had. Crispy outside and a fluffy tender inside. Friendly staff.

We were the only diners once the other couple left soon after our arrival. So we got great service.(2.30PM) Everyone in our group of four had an ample serving calling for take home boxes ,except myself. My portion was minimal.

Examples: 1) The ceiling chandeliers are covered with dirt and dust; just plain disgusting. The small wall chandeliers are likewise just as dirty 2) This is worse that #1 above. The ceiling ventilation ducts are black with what appears to be black mold. This is not healthy to breathe in and is making me rethink as to whether or not I should return to this establishment. 3) I wonder what the kitchen looks like if the dining room has health hazards that I described. 4) The solution is easy... look around and clean your restaurant!! it is disgusting to see this neglected place. If you can't clean it yourselves, then hire someone who will do it. Your ventilation ducts are probably loaded with this black mold 5) Get it done, and get it done right.

Best Mai Tai around! Even after all these years, the freshest most delicious vegi lol mein and garlic chix broccoli. Generous portions / Good to share. Can't go wrong!

This has been a go to place for my family for many years and once I have a family and kids of my own I will bring them here as well for generations this will always be the best place to eat

I never post reviews but had to go out of my way to give this place 5 stars. We were looking for a convenient bite to eat driving back home with some tired kiddos. Right when we walked in the entire feel of the place was wonderful, serene. It has a really nice energy right when you walk in. Very clean and greeted by beautiful fish tanks and friendly staff. Very fast service and great lunch deals. Wait staff are so kind. Kids came out with a boat load of candy gifts from wait staff that clearly love children.

Definitely recommend this place to anyone un the area... its amazing

After using other Chinese places use this one for the first time absolutely the best quality food and pricing is the best would highly recommend this for anybody that would like really good Chinese food I live in Westbrook about 15 minute drive from the store by the time I got there food was ready was in and out quickly and you can't beat the quantity or the quality

Comfy place,good service, but food was below average.Had no taste, ordered chicken lo me in, and it tasted like it needed flavoring, they put corn on everything, and just altogether very bland. The egg drop soup was ok.Reasonably priced.

It’s all outstanding here, the service, price as well as quality. This is the place. The crab Rangoon tasted genuine and the spring rolls didn’t taste like a toilet paper tube stuffed with grass clippings. Lunch portions were quite large and I assume dinner is even larger. I’m going back and soon.

This used to be our go to for Chinese food! Unfortunately our order had little flavor, and was very overpriced for the amount of food we got. $70 barely fed 4 of us, with no leftovers, (which is unknown at a Chinese restaurant!) Disappointing, hope this can help the restaurant review their portion sizes. We’d love to try again in the future. Hate to leave less than a 3 because we have loved it in the past, so we’ll leave it at that.

This is one of those quintessential hidden gems. It's in a strip mall, adjacent to a coast guard recruiting center. The parking lot outside had two liquor bottles littering the ground. But once one goes inside, they're immediately in a place that clearly has a sense of pride. There are multiple fish tanks with beautiful fish. Art work adorns the walls and is very lovely. Everything is spotlessly clean. This attention to detail extends to the food, which is ample, reasonably priced, and really seems to be on a different level than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. It was abundantly clear that sauces were made in-house from fresh ingredients. Aromatics, like ginger and garlic, had the kick that only happens when freshly sliced. Fried items didn't have any off flavors, telling me that the oil and fryers were in good shape. Anything that was fried or seared had a perfect crust, indicating the right temperature and not overcrowding. Lastly, the presentation of all items was beautiful. This place sweats the details and it shows. This has become our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Portland area. That's not to say it's the only good one (there are plenty), but it offers the food quality of others without the fight to get a seat or price multiplier one pays in the city. It appears to be family run and the staff are lovely, kind people.

AMAZING Chinese food. Best I’ve ever had , you will not be disappointed with this place ! We got the pupu platter for two and it was to die for. (And I am a very picky eater). Very clean place and extremely nice staff, plus great Mia thais! Will forever come back !

I've only been eating here and ordering takeouts for the past few months, but it feels like a place I've been coming to for years. I really love their hot and sour soup and egg foo young. They are friendly and quick at the desk when you're picking up an order, and table service is also friendly and helpful. They do a good job at following the new health/social distancing practices. The restauraunt is on the ground floor and is accessible by wheelchair. There is also ample parking in the plaza. I find using the entrance/exit at the back of the parking lot which is on Taft Ave to be the easiest way to get back on Brighton Ave when leaving.
