Parish Parlor is a cute ice cream parlor on Magazine with a rotating selection of flavors. I recently tried the Toasted Coconut & Chocolate, which were absolutely delicious!

I had the espresso brownie and the bananas foster in a waffle cone. Both flavors were way too sweet, and not exceptionally creamy. I understand ice cream is a treat and meant to be sweet, but this was like eating cake icing in terms of sweetness, it's too much. I may have very well gotten unlucky with my flavor choices, so based on other reviews praising the ice cream I would say if you plan to go, sample the ice creams you want to try and make your own judgement. My opinion is there needs to be more butterfat and less sugar. On the bright side, I thought the waffle cone had a very pleasant taste, texture and thickness. Although, my friend even thought the waffle cone was too sweet.

Cosy little old fashioned ice cream parlor on New Orleans. All the four flavors were delicious. Brownie butter cream, double chocolate, expresso cream, chocolate chip. Excellent flavors.

Great flavors especially expresso brownie and lavender london fog. Raspberry jalapeno was interesting, not spicy but bothered my daughter's stomach still after a while. Dairy free flavors peanut buttermud pie my husband loved! L Creamy like ice cream not sorbet! Irish coffee DFwas a little more icy but still delicious!

Parish Parlor is a small-batch ice cream parlor which specializes in classic French-style ice cream and seasonal sorbets along with offering Vegan and alternative milk-based options. Parish Parlor is located in the New Orleans Lower Garden District about 8 minutes and 2 miles away from the French Quarter at 1912 Magazine Street which is one of the busiest commercial arteries in the area. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and dense the ice cream here was. This is some of the best ice cream in the New Orleans area although it does come at a bit of a premium. They have a very interesting selection of flavors and unlike some other area ice cream and gelato joints their ice cream has very deep and intense flavors Overall if you love full flavored ice cream that is a pleasure to eat then you should make a visit to Parish Parlor My video review of Parish Parlor Ice Cream is here: youtu.be/_WjdFM6IGCw

Love the ice cream and cones + love the atmosphere: French music, cute interior design — but every time I stop in here the people working act like customers are a nuisance just for being there. Hate that feeling.

I reallyyyyy wanted to like this place but the customer service was just terrible. I came here tonight and a young man and woman were working. The young lady was extremely rude. No greeting. No smile. Didn’t even ask to take my order, just stood there blank faced. She showed clear annoyance when I asked for a sample. Tip: If customer facing work isn’t something you enjoy, you should really find another line of work. That aside, I enjoyed my dessert. I tried the saffron flavor and it was really rich and earthy (floral even). I went with the Butter Brown Cookie Dough on a waffle cone and it was delicious! The waffle cones are so FRESH—it’s like they’re baked daily and kept warm. Spent about $6.25 for a single scoop and it’s a nice sized portion. May come again.

Went here because it was close to Union Ramen. The ice cream was fine, the waffle cone was good, but the service was pretty bad. I don’t know if the green-haired girl who was working was having a rough day or something, but she made our order wrong and when corrected, rolled her eyes, threw the ice cream, and started slamming all the freezer doors while remaking our order. It was kind of like watching a child throw a tantrum and was just really uncomfortable to see. We came in hours before closing and didn’t say or do anything to her other than tell her our order and later that she made the wrong order, so I’m not really sure why she started bugging out. I hope she has the day she deserves. Honestly, if you want good ice cream just go to Creole Creamery. They have good ice cream and waffle cones with better service.

This place is a relaxing chilled out vibe, cool little rear patio ares if you want to hang out when the weather is nice. The first thing that hit me when we walked in the place was the awesome smell of brown suggar and butter cooking. Great location with plenty of nearby parking, where it should not be a concern if you are driving to this location. I can only imagine the gentlemen that served us was the owner, because he took great pride in sampling his creations, and explaining the ingredients. For example I am not a fan of cookie dough, but after sampling it I was won over...this place elevated ice-cream to a gourmet meal, with the cooks combination of ingredients it was a delight change of flavor profiles. I was fortunate to order my ice cream on a waffle cone. The cone was the true treat of thos experience, it was not to sweet, not to crisp, but perfectly cooked someplace between crisp and chewy, with a hint of vanilla. I think I have found a go to spot for relaxing and some high quality ice-cream...hats off to the cheff!

Heavenly small batch ice cream with traditional and unique flavors. My partner had a scoop of the Pecan Pie while I chose the Lavender London Fog. Sublime! The cones are thick, crunchy, sugary, delicious and didn't crumble or leak! Perfect treat for a date on Magazine Street! Two single scoop cones were just over $12 plus I added an 18% gratuity.

Awesome spot! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Located in the Lower Garden District. Not your average ice cream shop whatsoever! Very unique flavors that will make your mouth water for more. Locally sourced, small batch, and made in house ice cream. I was very impressed with my experience here. A quaint little shop, tucked away off of Magazine Street. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor and my girlfriend ordered the Brown Butter Cookie dough. Both flavors were instant nostalgia, whipping you back in time. One flavor to making cookies with my mother. The other to a quick morning breakfast on a warm fall morning. I highly recommend visiting this delicious gem if you are a local or tourist visiting for a few days. Hands down some of the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted. I wish I had more information on the ownership, but the two people working seemed very nice.

My favorite place for frozen treats in the Lower Garden District. They switch out the flavors seasonally so there’s always something new to try! What a pleasant find within walking distance. Old fashioned vibes of ice cream parlor with a back of storefront patio. There were unusual flavors....saffron....and standards of homemade flavors. An entire firehouse krew came in for milkshakes and speeded off to a fire alarm in the firetruck parked out front. I will return for more enjoyment!

Got in a car accident (not my mom's fault at all, but she was driving not me so don't look at me) after getting ice cream here and despite the paper bag getting smashed a bunch, the ice cream only leaked a little from one, but barely from the other, so the cups here can take a beating. Also, I had left my bag and hat here and forgotten it so I was able to walk back and they had held onto it for me, so then I was able to put my ice cream in their fridge to keep it cold while I waited for my parents to text me how things were with like, AAA and insurance and stuff. Really nice people and amazing ice cream !!! Try the lemon ricotta honey, it's awesome !!!

Got the mint chip and cardamom saffron. I always stop at ice cream shops where they have a unique flavor that I particularly like. Mint tasted so fresh and like you were eating straight out of the ground. Cardamom being one of my favorite flavors, I was not disappointed. Very good!!! Sad I couldn’t try more flavors while in NOLA as this was my last day.

Good fable selections, with good taste. I had the mint and the double chocolate. The mint was really fresh with real mint in it, highly recommended. Dropped in during a little visit to Magazine St. This is truly exceptional ice cream. Rivals the best I've had, including Toscanini's in Cambridge MA. Mexican chocolate has a real kick but at a level that's just right. Mix with peppermint bark and it's sublime. Did not have a chance for any extras on this visit but would add next time. If it's this good on a dreary mid-December day, I can't imagine what it's like on a warm summer afternoon. You won't regret it.
