The perfect little coffee spot. Love that it’s walkable from Fourth and Gill and that they carry baked goods from local bakers. My favorite cortado in town!

My favorite place in Knox for coffee. Shay is incredibly mindful of what he’s serving all the way from how the roasters treat their staff down to where and how it’s sourced. They have gone above and beyond to provide a place where you feel like family. Shoutout MURPH THE G.O.A.T!!!!

Honestly, Partial has the best coffee and tea in town. Shay is so kind and welcoming to every one of his customers, and so is Murph!

In my opinion, there isn’t better tasting coffee in Knoxville than what you can get from Partial. The pour over in particular, when they’re offering it, but you also can’t go wrong with a cortado, cappuccino, or seasonal coffee drink. Shay offers next-level service, makes you feel welcome, and is eager to share his passion for coffee. There’s a lot of great coffee in the area, but Partial is exceptional.

Partial is the place for coffee north of downtown. The owner is super helpful, and the coffee is the best in the city!

This review is long overdue, I love visiting Partial! Every time I walk in, I am greeted with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is modern yet cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. The coffee is outstanding and each cup is brewed to perfection. They have all the classics to choose from (pour over, espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc) which you can tailor with delightful seasonal flavors. Partial also offers tea and delicious pastries that are freshly made by a local Knoxville bakery. My recent two favorite drinks from here are the blueberry latte and masala chai, they’re perfectly balanced and not overly sweet like the sugary junk at some big chain coffee shops. Bonus points that they don’t upcharge for milk substitutes! What really sets Partial apart is the exceptional service. The baristas Shay (owner) and Murph are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about coffee. They take the time to make sure your drink is exactly how you like it and are always ready with a recommendation if you're feeling indecisive or adventurous. While Partial doesn’t have wine offerings just yet, I know they’re going to knock that part out of the park too with their care for their craft and commitment to quality. I can't say enough good things about Partial Coffee & Wine. It's a gem in our community and a must-visit for any coffee lover!

There are a lot of coffee shops, but this is the best in Knoxville. The atmosphere is unique and the coolest in town. The service and baristas are outstanding, friendly and really know coffee. But the actual coffee is where this place really shines. I have been to most shops in town and NONE of them can compare to the quality this place is putting out. I couldn’t recommend high enough. If you love coffee, this place is for you.

I love supporting small coffee shops in the area. Partial Coffee has the best atmosphere- plenty of seating, perfect for working on your laptop. The service was fantastic, and the coffee was very delicious. I also love the fact that they support local roasters. This is definitely a coffee shop that you want to visit. Can’t wait to try other stuff on the menu!!

This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Knoxville. The baristas are so friendly and the atmosphere is just great. That aside the coffee itself is wonderful, you can definitely find something for your taste The pastries are also great!

My cortado was served properly with a glass of sparkling water. Many cafes omit this. I prefer it and will return for that fact alone. I like the interior with functional study/computer space. It’s intimate and was mostly full, yet appropriately quiet on a Saturday morning. Meant to be a walkable cafe so be prepared to find street parking if you drive there.

The atmosphere is amazing. I met Shay, the owner, and his customer service is impeccable. I tried a seasonal drink, The Nutcracker, and it was phenomenal. Such a great addition to Knoxville!

If you like chai lattes you must try one at Partial. In fact I think they were TOO good because I am going to be sad I can’t get them regularly back in Atlanta. Can’t wait to come back and get another one.

There are lots of great coffee shops in the area, but this is mine and my husband’s fave. The owner clearly is very passionate about what he does and makes some wonderful coffee. The staff in general is super friendly and even when they’re busy, it’s still a nice atmosphere. Best coffee shop in Knoxville.

love this place!! every time i've been here, the owner was personally taking orders and making coffee, which i think is great involvement. the pumpkin latte tastes like REAL pumpkin - 10/10 recommend! i also really appreciate that there are menstrual products available in the bathrooms!!

I don't think you understand how good the coffee is... You will try this place and won't wanna go anywhere else. The drip is incredible. The lattes are fantastic. The ambience is perfect. Walking into a small local coffee shop can be intimidating when you literally know nothing about coffee. Shay was beyond incredible and passionate explaining all the different concoctions possible with espresso. What he recommended and made me was the best thing I have ever had. Also, the pumpkin was extraordinary - real, creamy, spicy, unmatched. Was great meeting you guys, and thanks for loving on our pups too!

I've been to quite a few coffee shops around the nation and around the world. I can confidently say that I have never been more excited for my return. Shay's passion for the details is beautifully complimented by his passion for those drinking. We got to chat for a while about the minute details of grind size and dose. In the same breath that he shared those details did he share how his goal was to make coffee that anyone would love no matter their range of interest. I am excited to go back not only for the stellar coffee, but also to be in that place knowing the passion that is put into every cup.

Pour-over, espresso, chai latté, cold brew. Partial does it all, very well.

The pour over is S tier. No cap. Asian baked items were out of this world. Music selection was mid, but you can’t have everything. Busy, but not loud. A solid hang and work spot.

Great new coffee shop in Knoxville! The space inside is very well utilized and aesthetically pleasing. The coffee was great! That being said I thought the espresso was a little mild for my taste, and I wish there was a caramel flavor on the menu. The owner, Shay, was very personable and a pleasure to talk with while he made our coffee. Also, a very niche thing that I enjoyed about Partial was that it has the best cups out of any coffee shop in Knoxville. I put it in the video of this review but it has a very secure sip option, straw option, and is kind of a matte plastic. Either way, great cups and great coffee!

Thorough menu, thoughtfully designed, with high quality drinks. Classic modern coffee shop vibe, welcoming and local. Highly recommend! Iced mango tea is also v tasty for the coffee -averse consumer.

BEST IN KNOX! If you’re the third wave coffee type, (not a Starbucks or burned coffee drinker 😉, tho that’s fine), and you’re used to the quality little coffee shops on the west coast that are hard to find in East TN, Partial is where you can come in Knoxville. We’ve found 1-2 decent shops since moving here, but Partial truly NAILED it and I’m so excited!!
