Truly one of the best places on H St NE. Paste & Rind is a hidden gem. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, unique and tasty cheeses, and exceptional wines.

My bff and I visited this place on Saturday and we loved it. It's a small cheese shop with quaint seating areas. The owner, Kara, was very friendly and made us feel welcome in the shop. (My friend was extra elated to meet another Kara spelled with a 'K' just like her daughter) We ordered the three cheese sampler and my favorite was this Alpine style cheese. We also had a couple glasses of the rose. All of it was delicious and we will definitely be coming back. I would say the place is a perfect spot for a first or second date. It's also a great spot to have an intimate conversation. The only issue I have is that it is not exactly metro accessible as it's a 20 minute walk from either union station or NOMA station. But it is worth the visit. So please stop by and support a small business if you are in the area.

Had an incredible night here. Local shop, owners are PASSIONATE about wine and cheese. I learned so much, and they were very helpful with pairings.

My favorite date, happy hour, girl hang spot. The owners are the best people ever. Prices are reasonable when you consider tip is included. Ambience is perfect. Wish them all the success so they can expand to a place with outdoor seating.

Easily 5/5 stars! I came to Paste and Rind for happy hour Friday evening and had an incredible time. Kara and Aaron provide top tier customer service that translates into an elevated experience at a neighborhood bar. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to kindly guide you through the impressive, well priced, and approachable yet playful menu. We stuck to the red wines but I am excited to return and sample the whites curated, as the selection offers something for every sort of wine drinker. Between our group we ordered every red on this week's menu and I genuinely enjoyed trying each one, our crowds favorite being a fabulous Pinot noir. Both Kara and Aaron offered really helpful guidance as we asked questions about the options and their passions is clear, making for an engaging and informative experience. The ambiance is cozy yet chic and the intimate space makes a perfect date night, girl's drinks, or even small book club gathering spot. We also enjoyed a three cheese slate and I loved each selection. I found the cheese menu diverse in its offerings and I appreciate that they also sell their weekly cheese and wine options retail. This would make a wonderful hostess or birthday gift for the foodie or wino in your life- or even a spread for a reality tv viewing party! I can't wait to continue to return to this awesome neighborhood small business!

So excited to have found this place. Had several of their cheeses at a holiday party last night and drove over first thing in the morning to pick some up for myself and as gifts. Run by a really friendly and knowledgeable husband/wife team. Have a great selection of carefully selected, high quality and surprisingly affordable options.

I’ve have been a fan of Paste & Rind for several years now. Their cheese selection is exciting and delicious and her cheese boards are next level. When they opened the new shop on H street, I was elated to see what they would do with their product selection and programming. It has been an awesome space for them to showcase their passion for cheese and cheese pairings. This is the perfect spot for a some QT with a bestie or a moment of zen & wine & cheese! Love it!!

Our company hired Paste and Rind to cater an event for 30 people - we were SO impressed with the stunning display they put together. The boards at the grazing table were thoughtfully composed and absolutely delicious! Everyone kept commenting on them. We will definitely be hiring them in the future and going to the shop! Incredible selection of cheeses (and great pairings, both food and alcohol)! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, my roommates and I have since gone back to their cheese counter and plan to go back each season when the menu changes!

My wife and I went for a date and had really great time. Cheese boards were delicious. The apple maple jam with the cheddar and apple slices where amazing. Owners are really knowledgeable on the cheese and the wine; a cute husband-wife duo that made the date feel special. Enjoyed it so much, we’re getting a cheese board catered for an upcoming birthday party from them.

I am so incredibly grateful for Kara & Aaron (& the whole Paste & Rind Team!). They put together the wedding "cake" of my dreams. I can't believe how lucky we were to have found them. They were so amazing to work with it was unbelievable. They picked the perfect cheeses for our Wedding Day cake, and were on site to assemble (and more importantly disassemble!) our beautiful spread of cheese. It was literally a dream come true. This is an amazing business run by incredible people who truly know and love their cheese! I can't thank them enough.

Top notch experience on H Street. A wine and cheese bar with excellent variety and pairings. The owners were great in helping me pick a cheese board + wine for me and my wife, as well as a to-go board to take to friends as a gift. Both were super knowledgeable and attentive. I would highly recommend swinging by to enjoy the atmosphere and company. It's definitely worth the trip!

Kara and Aaron are the most committed and thoughtful cheesemongers I have ever come across. They treat customers like family and truly understand the art of a good cheese pairing. I have been a fan ever since they started selling at the Petworth Farmer’s market and I was over the moon that they opened a brick and mortar establishment! The selection at Paste and Rind is exceptional, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the space is unique and warm. Can’t say enough good things about P&R and truly a review doesn’t do it justice. Go visit immediately!!

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Knowledge and passionate owners made me as excited about the cheese and wine as they are. They made us right at home, with our infant sleeping in tow. We made a perfect little meal out of cheese, almonds, dropped fruit, bread and wine. I'm looking forward to seeing what more delicious things I can learn about cheese from them.

Super glad I got curious about the yellow sign I spotted on H St! Went in for cheese and wine to check it out and am excited to find an accessible and quality place that is perfect for an unwind, sample of cheeses and nice pairings. I like their concept of changing menus of cheese and wine each week. Owners and staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Looking forward to going back soon!

Such a lovely experience getting a cheese board to go! It was tastefully put together with three cheeses, a small jar of honey, dried apricots, almonds, and utensils. Perfect for a picnic. We look forward to coming back and dining in!
