After eyeing this place for a while now! I am finally excited to actually stop by and try Pepper and Salt! The place was a bit small with not that much seating available, the noice was average, not too loud, and it was very clean. I got the pulled pork with a side of baked beans and a potato salad, while my father got the brisket accompanied by some mac and cheese and coleslaw. Both meats were very tender and juicy. And the sides were delicious! I will definitely return to try their smash burger!

If I could afford it I'd be here every day they're open. I drive 40 minutes just for this.

owners purposely overfilled containers on a food challenge for Katina ears Kilos so it would make for a better video, and gain more publicity for their terrible bbq. absolutely disgusting behavior. please do not give these cheater bums any of your business!

Some of the best BBQ I've eaten! They do sell out of popular items quickly. I would recommend going earlier in the lunch hour.

I can’t speak for some of the negative reviews I read but I finally got to try their brisket. My fiancé surprised me with some for when I got home from work since we live in PSL. Even after re-heating it in the microwave, I can barely pick it up it’s so tender🤌🏼 Smoke flavor isn’t over powering also. Definitely will be back.

Out of sausage on Friday because they were closed Wednesday and Thursday so they sold out quick so I didn't get to try that. I had brisket Cuban, which was great and a brisket Philly, which was also awesome! great meat, bit pricey, but what isn't these days? Doing it right!! ✌️❤️😎

We love Pepper and Salt! The food is always so good, and the restaurant although small packs big flavor. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good bbq food. They have so many fun options!

I finally was able to try this restaurant. Ordered a 2 meat platter to go, as the seating inside is very modest and not what I would call welcoming. The brisket and pulled pork were good, however, they had only 3 sides available and they were only open for an hour and a half! Very poor planning! For the price you pay, I expected more food than what I received. I can order a 2 meat platter at another local barbeque and have lots of options for sides and have enough left over for 2 sandwiches! So thanks but no thanks. I will go where most of the locals go and get more bang for your buck and great service and food!

The best baked potatoes in the world. The brisket on top with the melted butter and cheese in the potato is amazing. Be prepared when you order it because it is not a small meal. The potatoes are huge!!!

Literally the best beef ribs I have ever had!! (and I eat a lot of smoked meats). Extremely juicy and cooked perfectly with seasonings to die for. No sauce needed for these ribs! Pepper and salt provided bbq for our family gathering as we had a remembrance for a family member that had passed away. It was an incredibly generous spread and so so delicious. We all agreed we would’ve paid extra because it was so good. We were extremely grateful for the kindness, and will definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place that is very delicious and cares a lot.

This is one of the most welcoming and family oriented establishments that I have come across in my visits to Vero. The food looks and tastes fantastic! The staff is knowledgeable and delightful to interact with. I recently had catered food from Pepper and Salt, and it was a huge hit with the whole family! I cannot say enough good about this place; Pepper and Salt BBQ is second to none!

Our server/preparer, Gabriel Peterson, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced in my 21 years. Coming from Boston, I am accustomed to excellent food and drinks and service, but Gabe has exceeded every expectation and really took his “service with a smile” to the next level. If I do say so myself, he should get a promotion. Oh, and the food was pretty good too!

When there is line out the door, you know it’s going to be amazing! Quick service and amazing food. I had pulled pork sandwich and hubby had a brisket sandwich. We shared a side of potato salad. Took it to go and w joyed a pint at Walking Tree brewery. Don’t miss this one, people. Best BBQ we’ve had in our area!

The food is exceptional!! We understand why some items may sell out because it’s sooooo delish!! The costumer service is phenomenal, they were great. I loved how excited the gentleman got when sharing the menu and suggestions! I can’t rave enough about the food, it was soooooo delicious. It was the best barbecue sandwich I’ve ever had. Every bite was Flavorful and juicy. Quite a large portion, my husband had the Brisket Philly sandwich and I had the Brisket Cuban! We definitely will be returning❤️

Spectacular Texas BBQ. They serve until they're sold out!

I had their ribs, sausage, and brisket. I was pleasantly surprised at the unique dry rub seasoning. It had that beef jerky flavor with sauce on the side. Nice twist Great portions for the price and pleasant dining area

Very disappointed, we have tried to eat here 2 times both times sold out. We called to confirm items were in stock. Drive 25 minutes just to find out they were out of turkey, brisket, and pulled pork.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the owner John for reaching out to me after a recent review I had left. I recently visited his restaurant and left a review that concerned him. He contacted me immediately and offered more than I had expected him too. He was very apologetic and insisted on making it right with our visit. He is a man of his word and made it right. I would like to thank him for his concern of our visit and making sure that we were satisfied with our visit at his establishment. This is a place that I will definitely visit again. I took the family here last Saturday. After hearing about the place on TikTok and reading the reviews I was so excited to have some amazing bbq. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the entire experience. First off the space is very small. 4 small tables that would only fit 2 people. There are picnic tables outside, but they look gross and not inviting. I order the 3 meat platter. Brisket, sausage, and ribs. The brisket was supposed to be a “wet” cut, but it was one of the driest pieces of brisket I’ve ever ate. The sausage was good but a little bland. The ribs were by far the star of the show. We showed up around noon and half the sides we wanted were gone. No big deal. I’m pretty flexible. We ended up with tater tots and Mac and cheese. The tater tots were still frozen in the middle. The Mac and cheese was good. Baked beans were okay. My son had the brisket sandwich, which he liked, but said it wasn’t as good as buccees. If I lived closer I would probably try this place again, but being so far south with other bbq places I think I’ll stick closer to home next time I get a craving for brisket.

Update: I have to downgrade them a star. This is the best BBQ I’ve ever had in Florida, but it’s just not available more often than not. The final straw is that they’re randomly closed at 12:30 on a Saturday and nothing is updated on social media. I get that they’re small and BBQ isn’t like making Pop Tarts. However, out of the 6/7 times I’ve come or called, only once have they been open and had what I wanted in stock. It’s not practical to have a one or two hour window when you can get food and no food at Saturday an hour after you open doesn’t cut it. Sorry. This is honest, fair feedback with the hope I can get my favorite BBQ on a consistent basis. This is a 10/10. We’re lucky to have this quality of bbq in Vero Beach. The real deal. They do their BBQ Texas style (Hill Country is my guess) and don’t beat your head in with smoke or sauce. I got a brisket sandwich and loved it and I don’t like brisket much. Just go.

The available meats were delicious; however, the brisket was no longer available by mid-afternoon, and neither was the coleslaw. The baked beans with sliced sausage were very good. The string-cut greenbeans were over-cooked. It would be nice if Texas toast, hushpuppies, cornbread, or similar were on the menu.

Discovered them a few weeks back and tried to get in 2 times. Once sold out and the other closed for the holidays. Got lucky today. Totally AMAZING! The only negative was the slaw, doesn’t live up to the quality of the meat and beans. Got ribs, brisket, beans and slaw. The meats is best ever!

Probably one of the more decent BBQ places I've been to this side of FL. Parking lot is small and the options for dining in are very limited. To-go orders seem to be the way to go at this place. The brisket and chicken were 5/5. The mac and cheese was also pretty good. All in all I liked it and would certainly go back again.

Brisket was best I've had south of Jacksonville. Green beans were amazing! Food was 5 stars all day, only negative was we had to wait to sit and eat, but well worth it.

I hate to give this place 5 stars because it means more people will come here (selling out of my fav dishes sooner), but they absolutely deserve the highest praise. Texas style BBQ at its best. 99% take out is why I gave them low marks on atmosphere.

That brisket. If my wife was starving and i was already full i probably still wouldn’t be able to get the brisket home without eating it all. She might get some Mac and cheese but that’s only because they give you so much that man vs food is afraid to eat here.

Ok… this is not a terrible review but I hope it gets taken seriously. Has this place changed owners?? We used to think it was the best BBQ we had ever had, we have family from west coast and the Midwest that talk about Pepper and Salt and they can’t wait to go back… But something has changed, the sides are NOT good… what is with the bread crumbs on the Mac and cheese, it drys it out and it is not good! We went yesterday and my husband said that was the worst coleslaw he has ever had, he did not eat it…. Please please please go back to how you use to do things, the food used to be soooo good!! Don’t change what is not broken. If you are trying to use bread crumbs as fillers.. don’t! Raise your price if you need to but don’t ruin the quality of the food!

Out of this world great! By far and away best food in Vero. They’ve added a barbecue chicken which enables me to eat there slightly more often. I’d eat there more frequently but watching my cholesterol 😢 So happy I live nearby. Go early or miss out!

If you’ve never been to a barbecue place that actually sells out of their barbecue and is only open four days a week. This is the one. barbecue so good they can’t even keep it in stock. 🤯

I got some take out for me and my partner. The Cole slaw tasted a bit strange and also I'm not sure if it's normal but the ribs were floppy and pink inside, the pork belly had a coating of pepper on it almost as thick as the pork itself and It was unpleasant especially at the back of the throat. The Mac n Cheese was good.

Had my first experience at pepper and salt BBQ this evening. This is really a get it and go but there's a few tables for you to eat there if you like. The employees were all very friendly and they know their meat. I'd go there before 3 because they sell out. My favorite was their brisket . Even the sides were superb, country style green beans cooked in a delicious broth. Potato salad homemade. New family favorite when I don't want to cook. Prices we're about half of what I would normally pay for a family of four. Win Win.

My wife and I managed to squeeze in the final minutes of one of their soft openings and we were not disappointed. The only options remain were the brisket and the sides. The brisket was some of the best we've ever eaten and the side items were just as good. I tried the potato salad and the green beans - both were exceptional! We are looking forward to trying all the other menu items when they open fully but if our first experience is any indication, this place will offer the best BBQ and Vero and the surrounding areas. There isn't much room for dining in so you may have to plan on taking your order to go but you are going to want to give this place a try as soon as you can! We anticipate returning again and again! An addendum: I have now been multiple times and enjoyed most if the items on the menu. This is the best barbecue in the area, by far!!

Just one word… Wow. This place has the most fresh meats around and their brisket, pork, spareribs, turkey breast, and beef sausage is out of this world. Plenty of other selections as well, including homemade sides that were delicious. Some of the sides include mac & cheese, coleslaw, beans, and potato salad. They also have amazing desserts. Get there early because some items sell out quick, I highly recommend this for your lunch or dinner with the family. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a wide variety of “take-home items“ available such as spices, sauces, and coffee, check them out.
