My 5 year old and I went in tonight around 5:20 and grabbed a turkey dinner as takeout. He saw the claw machine and wanted to play- I was willing to let him try but the card reader wouldn’t pick up my two cards (likely user error on my part but I couldn’t figure it out just kept saying couldn’t read the tap) so we went in just to grab the food. The waitress whom helped us get our food noticed he had a sad face on and asked him what was wrong. So I explained the claw machine not reading my cards. She asked if he had a good week at school and since he did, she gave him a dollar of her tips to play. She said she understood because she has grandkids. Anyway, my 5 year old played the claw machine and he won with that dollar on the first try! He ran back to her to show her and said thank you again! She made his day. He then told me in the car ride home that he wants to give his money to others like her and he wants to bring one of his dollars to give it to her next time. She made a difference in his life. I’m so thankful! I wish I caught her name. We will be back! (Food was delicious too! People even better!)

I'm sorry, but cutting a piece of bacon in half and calling it two pieces is just wrong and unethical. Giving me two pieces of bacon cut in half, and calling it four pieces is just pathetic and dishonest. If my finger is as big as your bacon, it is not a piece of bacon. Quit scamming your customers.

If you are short staffed then close the restaurant no service/ restaurant is better than bad service !

We had an early dinner and it was delicious. Our server was Star although I kept calling her Angel lol. She was attentive and friendly. I will eat here again soon. Nice and clean...fast and yummy...my kids response. Thank you all. I would have included pictures but I ate it ALL! OH PIE. I took home pie...it was free pie Monday.

My husband and I have been going to Perkins now for a while now and we have become regulars on Mondays nights , I mean after all Mondays are free pie night lol 😂 Jennifer is the server with the most incredible customer service skills I have ever met , I mean seriously from day one she has remembered everything everyone in the party has ordered including drinks , dinner and dessert right down to the flavors of pies we like . Her kindness and generosity makes us feel that we personally matter to her that every experience at Perkins is her personal best. There is no one better that this beautiful human being well then there is Vanita waiting to check us out when we are ready to pay the bill with her friendly smile and her ready to finish our incredible visit by wishing us a great night and always welcoming us back for our next visit . So if your looking for a place where you feel like you see old friends head to Perkins in Apopka for a good home town feeling and experience with Jennifer and Vanita ❤️ they have never let us down and I can assure you they never will.

We happened to walkin today after a long morning. We were greeted by Ms. Jennifer who quickly made us feel at home. We were treated with a lot of warmth. Our meal came out quickly and that was superb. Ms. Jennifer made the extra effort to make our experience very enjoyable. We thank her and the manager Ms. Vanita for providing and great experience. We will be visiting more often.

Never have I gotten so little for my money. Ordered breakfast. Eggs were warm but cold on edges. Home fries great. Bacon cooked to order. Biscuit horrendous. Omg. Cold, tasteless and stale. What a waste of 20 bucks. Told cashier that my biscuits were horrible. She said sorry and took my money. No discount no nothing. I took two bites of one. So gross. Now I know why there were only 3 people in the restaurant at 8am. Sad. Not ever going back. Got to be bankruptcy bound. Heck, go to wawa down the street for half the price. Dear Perkins. I saw your comment. You had a chance to fix this. Why would you ask how my meal was then do nothing. You couldn't have just removed the price of the biscuits? I would have returned and just not ordered your awful biscuits. Typical Lame response with no action. Lots of other places to visit for breakfast for less money, more food and much better response to issues.

It's all good . But you might have to wait until something is done . I had to wait for my shrimp but I was not done with my salad anyway . I pretty much told her what I wanted to eat . If they didn't have it in the way that the menu was written but I knew they had it in the restaurant I would let her know what I wanted she would always say that the way that I wanted it would be a little bit more I would say thank you . By the time my two sisters and I were done I know I was happy and I didn't know what the cost was Because my sister treated me and my other sister .

Took my wife there for Mother's Day, and the wait time wasn't long. All other places had lines outside the restaurants. They where short on cooks, but everyone got taken care of. The service was great, and the prices are right. Great job Perkins!

Ms. Jennifer the waiter was very sweet and checking up on us constantly, she truly earned her tip today. Food came out in a timely manner and the place is always clean.

Went with 4 people for dinner. Place was pretty busy. We had Jennifer as a waitress. She seemed so happy to see us. Took our orders by memory, no note pad. Even had special requests. Food came out quickly. Was hot and correct! She kept our beverages filled. Finished dinner off with free pie Monday! She did an amazing job! Definitely an asset to the restaurant! Our server, Jennifer was wonderful. She was so helpful and detail oriented with our table of four. Her suggestions with the menu were very helpful and everything came to the table quickly. She was very pleasant and friendly. We really appreciated her great personality.

The worst restaurant!! We sat there for 10 minutes, nobody came to take our order. We changed tables. They took our order immediately. Great! Then we sat there just over 20 minutes and the manager and a waitress came to our table to inform us that the kitchen had not gotten our order. Stuff happens. They promised it right away! Great! Then we sat for another 13 minutes - buy the way the restaurant was empty - 1 person at a table, three people at a table who had their food and two people who came in after us. At thirteen minutes we left! Buy buy! No one even was on the floor to see us go. My dad has a walker so we didn't go fast. I don't know why they don't close down! It's never busy. For good reason! It STINKS. Lousy service. Lousy restaurant!

Stopped by while passing through Apopka. I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised! 🤩 The food was great and the service was top notch. 👌🏾 I had the turkey and dressing meal (scratching that Thanxgiving itch) and it was very nice. Katherine, my waitress, was a real gem. She was always on top of things. I wanted and waited for nothing! Moreover, the dessert was great! Apple pie ala mode. 😋 If you haven't tried Perkins, give em' a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Great diner-style food for an even greater price! Friendly/caring service. Big selection of delicious pie slices! Server threw in some extra free pie for us when we went on a Monday (free pie day) 🙃

Chani & the manager Vanita gave us superb service. Such pleasant ladies. Left with a full belly & a smile. Up until 2 years ago we had been coming here regularly for decades but time & time again we had to wait so long for our meal it caused us to be late for whatever we had planned afterwards. We never experienced this wait time at other Perkins either. The excuse given was they only had 1 chef. So we stopped coming. Finally, we decided to give this Apopka Perkins another chance and we we're pleasantly surprised with quality of food & service.

Jennifer always gives good service and the food is always good for casual dining. Breakfast food served all day and the burgers are always good for lunch. Dinners are typical diner fare and are decent for the price. Desserts are where they shine. They have free pie Mondays too! Overall, a good restaurant and experience! Thanks Jennifer for your friendly and great service every time we come!

I enjoyed my experience here last week. When my boyfriend and I dined in, it was clean and service was efficient. The food was great, our server Angie was so polite and gave great recommendations. I’d definitely come eat again in the future.

This Perkins is the best experience I've had by far! The staff is friendly and very engaging! If you are getting service from Star, expect 10 out of 10 service!

If there was a zero I would give a zero to everything except for the server the server was okay the food was absolutely horrible the sample platter was overcooked the salad I got the cheese tasted funny like it was American cheese or something I got two pieces of pie coconut cream it was absolutely disgusting. I couldn't believe it I always went to Perkins and got pie and coffee it was always good in the past. I made them take the pie off my bill this time it tasted like it was made of sour milk my check came to $45 and change for two meals a sample platter & a salad and two drinks and it was unfit to eat. My mother took her meal home and tried to eat it the dog wouldn't even eat it. I will never go back and pay that kind of money for that awful food.i should of known better for when we walked in the restaurant it had a foul odor we should have walked out right then and there but Perkins was always a good restaurant in the past. I have never been so mad that's what I was yesterday I didn't want to make a scene because I had my mom with me but never again will I ever go there again . Overpriced for awful food

Was in there with my daughter i had the sampler plate and she had a salad my plate was over cooked I've had it before I got the chicken tenders onion rings French fries . The onion rings tasted like they came from save alot I took it home with me to try to eat later. I ended up dumping it we got the coconut pie .it tasted soured . They did take it off the bill. I won't be going back

I used to go to Perkins with my friend every week and we'd get a chicken Caesar bread bowl salad. Granted it's been like 20 years....but it's still shocking to me how expensive everything has gotten. An appetizer sampler and 2 breakfast entrees and 2 cokes with a 25% tip was over $75. Guess that's why I don't go out very often anymore! Food and service were both good even though they were obviously short staffed....hence the tip.
