Incredible mom and pop shop. I work for a Ford dealer on a mobile service repair team and we came to their home to perform recalls, the husband sent us over to the bakery they own and the wife and other woman working were Incredibly nice. She even hooked us up with some donuts after I bought a muffin. Awesome spot that she told me has been around for over 50 years! The traffic in and out of there was wild as well seeing probably about 20 cars come in and out to get stuff even at 11am during a weekday! You can tell the locals love it!

Wonderful donuts after visiting family in Michigan. They suggested we stop here for breakfast. The inside of the store is rather small, so it felt crowded as we waited on our order. Will gladly come here again in the future.

🍩Pete’s Oven has the BEST donuts I have ever had! My grandparents live right around the corner from there, and as a young kid, they would take me there every time I went and stayed with them. I hadn’t been there in quite a while and had been craving them, and just the other day I was visiting my grandparents and decided to stop by there. I went at around 11:00 am on a Wednesday, so most kinds of donuts were already completely sold out and it was very slim pickens. I got one of their regular cinnamon rolls, a cinnamon roll with peanut butter on top, and a glazed donut with chocolate frosting on top, which I had never seen or heard of before. I always thought you either got just a plain glazed donut or a donut with just the chocolate frosting on top (my two favorite donuts), but not the two combined. It was SOOOOOO good. After eating the glazed with chocolate frosting, I wanted to immediately go back and buy more of them, but unfortunately, it was the last one.😩 Both the regular cinnamon roll and the cinnamon roll with peanut butter on top also were very delicious 😋. I’m not sure what time they make all of their donuts for the day, but I know they had been sitting on the rack for at least 5-6 hours and still tastes fresh. Their quality is consistent and superior and the dough is always made and fried to perfection. I have yet to find a donut shop that can match or even come close to Pete’s Oven and I highly highly recommend you give them a try next time you want a donut, you will not be disappointed. I wish I took some pictures of the donuts so I could post them and show how good they look. Next time I go back, I will be sure to get some pictures, as long as I can get them taken before I eat it all. P.S. Try to get there close to the time they open or at least somewhat early if you want a bigger selection of donuts to choose from, because they sure do go fast!!!

This was my Great Uncle Pete's shop for decades and I used to love when my Dad would bring me and my brothers on a Saturday morning to the shop. Uncle Pete was always in the back and I would go sit on one of his wooden benches trying not to distract or annoy him. He of course would insist that I was doing both of those things. No one could tease a little kid like Uncle Pete. Shoot he would still tease my dad who was in his 40s lol. My Aunt Jean and cousins Kim, Candy, Tammy and Heidi were always so upbeat and caring that it didn't feel like a place of business. When they decided to sell the business I was skeptical that it would remain the same. Well, I was and still am very impressed with how the goodies taste the exact same as when I was 5 years old. The service is top notch as well. I am beyond thankful to y'all that the legacy of Pete's Oven lives on. I can't recommend this place to enough people and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Love these donuts! I'll have to take pics next time! They have this pineapple upside down muffin, it's to die for! We always get a variety! They have so many to choose from but it's definitely best to get there earlier in the day, so you can have a wider selection.

Small town bakery atmosphere and spectacular baked goods. Loved the mini loaf (I think it was called) with cinnamon raisins and pecans! The rolls were amazing!!!

Petes oven bakery is without question, the best bakery I've ever been to. I've been going there for years. Even on days that I lived an hour away, I've gone there. Absolutely amazing!

I had a memorial service to buy for. I was able to order ahead bread, doughnuts, pastries. Due to the possibility of people with nut allergies, they were willing to box them box those separately. The fresh bread was a big hit for the sandwich crowd. Everything was just perfect. They made a difficult time easier for me.

Donuts are a once-in-a-while thing for our house, so we went here on National Donut Day and grabbed a dozen. Absolutely delicious. Huge upgrade over Dunkin or Tim Hortons. Check them out.

Awesome local bakery. Been in business since the 60s. The maple Pershing was killer. If you are a local or driving by on the highway, stop in. It's well worth the detour. Your taste buds will thank you. Also have bread, cookies and pastries.

After journeying to find another breakfast spot that had moved, and discovering it unopened still, I tossed “donuts” into Google Maps and found Pete’s Oven Bakery a few miles away. Slightly off Dixie Hwy on Midland Ave, situated next to an old school barbershop, this place is about as unassuming as you can imagine. The front space is small, and at 9:45 in the morning, the shelves were pretty bare. We managed to get a blueberry muffin, something they called thin bread? I think…that was like a large oval slice of cinnamon roll bread with nuts and glaze, a cream still white frosted stick, and lemon and raspberry filled to round things out. All items: terrific. Absolutely awesome. The donuts were easily the softest I have ever had. They melt in your mouth; some type of sublime flour and yeast fried magic that is unmatched by any other donut I’ve had in my life(many, in many locations across the country). The staff working was extremely friendly to boot. 5* well deserved, and take my word, this place is worth a trip to visit.

They're doing their best to keep prices down in these trying times, and what you get continues to be well worth it. Just make sure you get there early. This place is so popular that your favorites might be gone before your coffee is even ready!

Most amazing bakery! The lady who runs it was an absolute sweetheart and everything we got was delicious!

I got some cookies to take to one of my clients, they were nice and big and looked super yummy. When I stopped them off, my client was excited I brought treats from here. I had also picked up a few donuts to take home, definitely glad I did! The donuts were really yummy! The cake donuts were the perfect texture and density for a cake donut (I find a lot seem to be a little too dense). We all loved the donuts at home! Also the ladies that assisted me with my order were super pleasant! If I'm in the area again, I would definitely stop by there again! If you're nearby, definitely swing by for a cookie or donut (I'd guess there other items are yummy too).
