Great subs 👌 go and get one or 3

Got a Steak and Cheese there. Was asked when ordering if I wanted a "half or a whole". Unknowingly, I ordered a whole thinking in terms of Subway and other popular chain sub shops. A "whole" sub at Pete's is twice as much as other chain sub shops - a full 24" sub that has meat piled on. It took me 3 suppers to finish it off. Well worth the visit and I'd be back if even remotely close to their location.

Disappointed that I was told where to put my plate.. which was at the front counter .. after I bagged half to go.. when I was all set to tip her. Why couldn't she just take it. Food was good.. i will try it again.. I will give the restaurant a 5 star

Subs are okay but service could be much better. The person making the subs had an attitude because I asked for two half hoagies instead of one whole. Prices are same as everywhere around here.

Dine In lunch before 12pm on a Saturday and the place was going brisk business already! Ham and Cheese hoagie (I’m from PA please don’t hurt me) was sooooo good! Only reason for the 4 stars is because it’s was packed to the point of the roll splitting which made it very hard to eat towards the end. Can definitely see that being an issue if you’re trying take it to go! Will definitely be back!

I ordered a cheese steak and chicken finger platter. The cheese steak had no flavor and was dry. The chicken fingers were over cooked and hard. Very disappointing.

Tried to call for pickup on august 15 at 6pm and nobody answered. :(

Been living at the Jersey Shore for over 25 years after growing up in Philadelphia. By far, with no comparison, Pete’s is the best. Fresh like they just killed the cow out back. The taste jumps off the plate. Never had a bad one.. Excellent price for the quality of their sub. The are as thick as a phone book, for those of us who remember. They don’t skimp on anything. Pictures are half a tuna and whole Italian special.

Great food, good portions, and friendly service. I called ahead and my meal was in time. Great place, lots of choices. Decent vegetarian choices.

Their food is amazing but their phone system is so bad we don't order some nights because we can't get through. Tonight I called an obnoxious 21 times in a row and could not get through. When you go in to order they have signs up passive aggressively telling you not to come in to order...

Different Cheesesteak #1170. Special guest eater Jordan. Her Karl had his wisdom teeth pulled (forever ago and he stills whines about it) so he didn’t eat. I’ve heard great things about Pete’s. I was disappointed. The meat was good. The AC roll is a nice change of pace roll but my half had a complete blow out. Cheese was sparse, on top and ‘kind of’ melted. Few undercooked mushrooms. Stringy fried onions, which I don’t hate, but needed more.

Their food used to be delicious. Their cheesesteaks are now tasteless and the roll falls apart immediately! They charge $15 for a hoagie and there's no meat! The one woman who works up front is so rude! When you call they don't answer. One time their phone was busy for a half an hour so we drove there and told them there might be something wrong with their phone and the rude woman said no we're busy so we took it off the hook! What!?! There was NO ONE in there! Save your money!

Got the cheese steak with fried onions not bad but nothing new same as Dinos Whitehouse and Sacco's not much difference and as far as Italian subs again the same mediocre Italian meats can't get sharp prev or fresh mutts not knocking Pete's same as the rest you need to go to an Italian deli to get the real deal.

We are truckers and did a google search for a good sub sandwich. This place can up as a 4.7. Which is not true. Not very diverse or just not used to seeing or being around other cultures it seemed by the interaction. Personal problems we can’t fix. So back to the food. It was filling the sandwiches are huge and pricey, but the flavor was lacking. Looked at sandwiches and literally meat, cheese, tomato, lettuce and onion. No condiments, not a drizzle of olive oil, Italian seasoning and splash of vinegar, just a plain sandwich, which is disappointing because when you eat out you are hoping to have something unique to what you would do at home. Wish they had a JJ’s close by. Trust that’s saying a lot because I would rather support small businesses and get a experience that is specific to them. Ordered Philly steak with mushrooms and Italian sub. Also, onion rings. My husband said he ate it fast so he wouldn’t throw it up. It was tuff to finish. Onion rings were good to him, but too greasy for me to eat. Taste like old oil. Won’t be back.

Great food great staff. online price for mozzarella sticks says $6.50 two orders wound up being almost $19. not sure how accurate the prices on the website are.

I’ve been ordering Pete’s since they opened and they continue to get better with time. Amazing menu with fresh, made to order subs and trays. I’ll be going as often as my stomach leads me to their door!

Love this place do a pickup at least once a week. The best people work there.

No flavor, turkey has a weird smell to it. No effort put into the sandwich at all. $15 down the drain. Happy to see these birds enjoying it though.

Eh. I left hungry because the chicken sub I got was made of indescribable mush. After a bite that I took that tasted like sawdust in my mouth, I took several pieces of the chicken out to inspect and found slimy pieces that you would find in a rotisserie chicken. The chicken pieces in the sub were stringy as if it was from a rotisserie chicken and were very, very mushy. Unfortunately I paid $13 for an entire sandwich that had one bite taken out of it. The atmosphere and service are subpar.

Absolutely great food. All of the food I had here was truly amazing and tasty. I definitely recommend Pete's, it's one of the better tasting restaurant to eat from!

Top 3 sub shops in the state and probably the country. This is a MUST GO. You are cheating yourself on an extraordinary sandwich experience by not going here.

Just wanted to say I can’t remember ever getting food from Pete’s before- and after yesterday I can’t imagine going anywhere else. The size of the sandwiches and other meals blows everywhere else out of the water. While everywhere else’s meals are shrinking they came through with a bomber on Mother’s Day. Delicious too- everyone was happy with their meal. Thanks guys- will see you soon!

The food at Pete’s is always amazing!! The staff is always friendly and helpful but when ordering by phone for pickup you a get busy signal time after time and that’s very frustrating.

Every time I call to order subs, they never answer and I have to drive down there.

Food is good there. People are friendly. The only issue is at times is seems like they take the phone off the hook. The phone is constantly busy. We called, busy signal, hung up and called again. This went on and on to no avail. Ordered elsewhere. This is about the 3rd time this is happened.

I was really depressed, everybody was hyping this place up, telling me to check it out and I was very excited about checking it out and I got a pizza steak with green onions and fried peppers. Now I’m gonna be honest the steak flavor itself was pretty good. However, when I’m upset about is the fact that it’s almost like they just slapped my sandwich together didn’t mix the ingredients just threw the sauce right on top. Honestly, it was kind of hard to eat. I would definitely give this place a second chance, but if my cheesesteak isn’t like the first one I had, I won’t be coming back.

Celebrated National Meatball Day by ordering the meatball parm sub tonight. It was delicious. The sub was packed with very flavorful meatballs, and just enough gravy and cheese to compliment. Will order that again!!! Would highly recommend! Never disappointed.

I ordered a sub tray for Celebration of Life in honor of my nephew. We have never been disappointed with any order and once again we were more than pleased. Thank you to the girl who took my order she is always so nice.

I ordered 2 subs (BLT and Philly cheesesteak). I was pretty happy with the size of my BLT but disappointed that it looked like they used old bacon. The taste wasn’t bad but fresh bacon would have elevated it. The Philly sub was just alright. I had to cut off pieces of the sandwich because wax paper was stuck to it. I personally wouldn’t order a Philly from there again but maybe if it’s customized it’ll be better.

Had the cheesesteak with extra meat, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, onions. Agree with the other reviewer that some seasoning on the meat would help but it was still tasty. Fries were delicious. My wife’s Meatball Parm sub was REALLY good. Going with that next time!

The large Italian sausage sandwich had very little sausage in it. Not worth what they charged for it

Ordered two sandwiches tonight and asked for the meat to be chopped fine. The chicken steak was like biting into an actual chicken breast, and had the same issue with the other cheesesteak. Usually don't have an issue ordering from here but will no longer do business with a place that cant admit they were wrong. Per the woman who answered the phone, the owner is who made the sandwiches and chopped the meat fine. Well, I think the pictures say enough. when told wed no longer order from them, her answer was “do what you gotta do.” Customer service is obviously not a number one priority with them anymore. Sad for a local spot.

It's always a great South Jersey style Philly cheese steak. Never disappointed

Had delicious subs from here many times! Not a family that orders out alot; so I was very disappointed when they were locking up at 6pm when the website says 8pm! My 10 cheesesteak order went else where!

Food, service, and atmosphere were good

I guess this place does have good cheesesteaks. The meat could use a little bit of seasoning but it was still good. I like my tomatoes tucked under the meat also so they're not trying to fall out when I eat it but that's just a personal thing.

Great cheesesteak.... just wish they had other roll and hot pepper options. Ac rolls aren't good and longhots would be nice. Other then that.... Great spot

Totally legit cheesesteak. Top 3 cheesesteak. And i eat a lot of cheesesteaks. Just moved to the area and i am so glad i gave this place a try. You will be happy too. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

On its service food was excellent that we got there. The subs are outstanding and it gives Sugar Hill a run for their money.

Best sandwich shop in the area by far. If you want a real Italian sub, go here. NB: The subs are massive and packed. If you get a whole sub it's like carrying a dumbbell. Can't tell you how good some things are since I only order the same 3~4 things ever, but here's a short list of everything me and my family have tried and been very impressed by: Italian sub, Cheese Steak(Regular and Pizza'd), Chicken Parm, Italian sausage, Meatball sub, Onion rings It's worth noting that this is 1 of 3 places I'll eat a meatball from without the threat of great bodily harm. The other two are my favorite restaurant and home. Sometimes it's difficult to get an order in over the phone because the place is so busy around dinner time. Even then the wait's never been unreasonable.

This restaurant serves the best sandwiches and always on point! Tried the meatball sub which I’m told has been passed down for 3 generations…. And it didn’t miss! Ordered the half and good thing cause there was no way I was going to finish a whole. This restaurant is highly recommended!

Personal is good. Phone service is not friendly to people who would like to order but have to continuously call back to get through. There are better phone options out there.

Pete's Subs makes fantastic sandwiches ! They overload every sub and you get more than your money's worth every time. No one else even comes close to the size of their sandwiches. It is usually easier to come in and order and it does not take long for your order to be ready so don't let the inability to call them stop you from ordering.

The food is great. But kinda difficult to order when I come to them, here on google maps, & a menu from 5yrs ago, no website with the menu & the Fb link doesn’t work lol need to see a menu!

Since Pete's Subs opened in 2016, I have driven past it well over 100 times. The reason I never stopped to pick something up, the word SUBS is on their street sign. Having been born and raised in the Philly area, I am a hoagie girl. Having lived and visited many parts of the USA, I know very well the difference between a hoagie and a sub. I didn't even give Pete's a chance until someone told me they were the best around and I certainly agree. It's the closet thing I have come to a Philly hoagie without being in Philly. The only criticism I can give...you gotta change the name from subs to hoagies!

The cheese steak itself was 5 stars but I had to pick the wax paper off the hot cheese. That took a few minutes.

I have no idea why I’ve never stopped here before. Great cheesesteak! Can’t wait to go back and try some other sandwiches.

As a fellow business owner I can empathize to being overwhelmed when it's busy. As professionals it's important we hold our composure and continue to display a respectful demeanor. There's been several occasions where we felt the customer service here fell short!

This place started off amazing! In the years since they never answer the phone when called and having young kids it’s easier to call in then go down and place an order. The meat quality is also different. I still go here it’s our local place and it’s not bad it just not great.

Came home to visit and this was the first spot I stopped at. The cheesesteaks are AMAZING. Customer service A#1. I will be ordering some to take back home to Atlanta! Thank you 😊

Did take out for their subs and absolutely wasn't disappointed. The subs are not what you'd call cheap, but the value is ABSOLUTELY there. Their whole sub is about 18-20 inches long and is loaded with deli meat. I would definitely say worth it for that alone. I would suggest calling in your order however, the wait time can be long if you are going during a rush time.
