As Philly cheesesteak connoisseur, the Pepper Bomb with white American cheese (instead of pepper jack) is a new all time fav! Onion rings and fries traveled well and didn’t get soggy during my 20min commute in a thunderstorm. I’ll be back every time I’m in Baton Rouge.

Not sure about the food, because I won’t be eating mine. I stood and watched the woman cutting the sandwiches for 5 minutes touching everyone’s food with a bare hand, with her jacket wrapped around her thumb. She might have washed her hands, but also her clothing has now touched every single thing she has touched as well. When I asked the woman at the front about it, she looked at me rudely and said “so?” 🤮

Been coming here for years but today the owner wasnt here so i got barely any meat or food on my sandwich and my onion rings were grossly over greasy! Also the short chubby black girl that gave me my food looked at me like she wanted to murder me. Ive been coming here for years on and off and so does my family and ive never been done this way. I called and was told the owner /manager would be in tommorrow, i will update this to see how they plan to resolve this! I refuse to be treated this way and i will not let this go! If they dont want to fix this then i will dispute the charge with my CC company! Ive been to loyal for to long!

I'have been a loyal customer since day 1 and can honestly say the food, the service, is unmatched and hasnt changed! You cannot get more Philly authentic than here. It is refreshing seeing the owners still putting in that daily grind to make sure their restaurant stays 1 cut above the rest!

I ordered The Cajun, it was really good, the best bite was definitely getting all the steak, onions, jalapeños and chipotle mayo in one bite! Bun was soft (in a good way) fries were crispy and salted to perfection, soda machine was broke at time of visit, sweet tea was fresh, well worth the 15 minute wait during lunch rush! Highly recommend to anybody who loves a good Philly

didn't answer phones, so i came up there 3:50 tuesday and they don't "close" until 4. i walked in they told me they were closed. i look at the door it says 4:00... wasting my time and gas they don't care

Our company has a staff meeting once a month and every month I look forward to it because we always get take-out from Philly Me Up. I love the cajun chicken and the fries or onion rings go equally well with it. Always fresh and consistent.

I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to leave a review. This is the best philly cheesesteak in the area. The food is always cooked fresh (the fries are piping hot when you get them!), and the entire staff is so friendly. Can't recommend this place enough.

Being that I am from the original cheese steak town (Phila) it took a while to find this place after DeAngelo's closed. I LOVE Philly Me Up! As one opened I would try it. I have never found a better steak than here! The one at LSU had the worst sandwich ever. I asked them what kind of steak they used and they would not say. It tasted like a Steak Um that you brought out of the grocery store. I tried South of Philly but didn't like the taste of the meat. You see they are no longer open in BR. Josh and his crew are very knowledgeable of their product. Original Amorsa rolls from Philly, the original steak, Believe me if you ask him he will tell you what it is. I recommend them to my friends and people who may be waiting in line at another place. Now, if I can only get some Tasty Kakes especially Peanut Butter Tandy Cakes!

Tried this place for the first time after a co-worker recommended it to me. Ordered Da Gumbo and a side of the beer battered onion rings. Probably one if the best Sandwiches I've had. Service was fast, even though they were fairly busy. Price is also very good. Will definitely be going back.

I showed up 15 minutes before close and wasn't allowed to come in. The door was locked yet there was people inside still eating. Just wanted to pick up an order to go. If you want to close at 3:15, then put that on the sign. Don't say 3:30 and then go lock the door at 3:15 or earlier. I wonder if the owner even knows their employees are running business away so they can get out of work early.

My wife found good Philly me up store. I ordered food is very delicious bread is good like tase from Philadelphia. Cashier are very friendly and understanding. Cooker are great food Lots of list order food is wow most than any one store around I sure you would love it

Close to the real thing as you can get in Baton Rouge

Being from NY, I love a good cheesesteak. Heard about this place and it is tucked into a corner by the highway, so getting there can be fun. But it is well worth it. All types of Cheesesteaks, and more. The bread is especially awesome, soft, just like a real one. The food is cooked fresh for you, you can even watch them cook it. The Cheesesteak was moist and I had the BBQ, which was sweet. The fries were real potatoes and cooked perfect. This is about as close as you are going to get to a Philly Cheesesteak in Baton Rouge.

Easily the best chicken cheese steak I've ever had. Delicious, fresh, cooked right in front of you, and not extremely over priced like alot of PO-boy places. I'd eat her everyday if I could. Only downfall is they close very early most days, & weekends.

Gave me the wrong food didn’t notice til I made it home which is across town during traffic. I called back to leave my name for some kind of refund or replacement item and was told I would have to drive back across town to bring the food back in order to get for that to happen so in all it’s not my fault my order was wrong and they basically did nothing to help! I won’t be coming back!

I love this place. I wish they were open later but it’s probably a blessing they’re not, ha! The bread, the ingredients, the fries! It’s all good and fresh and delicious. You should eat here. If you find anything to complain about, you’re probably having a bad day.

Greatest place near me for sandwiches. Every single item I've gotten here reinforces this statement. Da Gumbo is a fave, as is the Voodoo and the Loaded

I can not give this place enough stars. I honestly don’t know how there is not a line out the door. The staff was amazingly friendly. The food it’s self was a real cheesesteak. Being from SoCal I frequented Boos in Los Angeles. This is the closest I’ve found since living in Louisiana. Half the places don’t have the right bread or even cheese wiz. Philly me up has both! I can’t overstate how perfectly cooked this cheesesteak was. In addition to the cheesesteak. The beer batter onion rings. Omg they were great. Nice and thick onions, not that weak stringy stuff other places have. 100 out of 10 and will absolutely be coming here regularly.

This was my first time trying this establishment. I have had friends talk of how good it was. The day I went must have been an off day. There were lots of people there waiting for food at lunch time. The staff was nice, but they were busy. I ordered the cheese steak hoagie deal. I was not impressed. The meat had no n taste to it. I barely tasted onions on it. My bread was soaked. The fries were soggy and not crisp at all. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Great Philly in Baton Rouge! Juicy and delicious. Lots of cheese! I got a surf and turf and the shrimp were big! Fries were not good… no salt or seasoning. Will be back!

Going at noon, it was busy as expected. My order was quickly taken, but the food came out slowly. Not unexpected at the start of the lunch rush.

My husband Steve and I are from Ohio and we come to Baton Rouge once or twice a year. We always make it a point to stop in at Philly Me Up for lunch and to say hello to, Josh, the owner. They have a wonderful menu to choose from but we especially LOVE their South Carolina Wrap. They have never disappointed us.

Food was great. But these workers are rude and bottom of the barrel. Can’t ask a simple question on the menu without an attitude. Ghetto

Best traditional Philly cheesesteaks in BR!

My wife and I went to Philly me up yesterday and got the Cajun Philly and that sandwich was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try more stuff. The cheese fries were awesomely delicious also. This place is in the list of my top 10 favorite places to eat. I will be back.

Just as good as the Philadelphia cheese steaks. I always get the Pepper Bomb with fries, you can't go wrong.

So I was trying to place a 4 person order. Needing to pay seperate. We were told that more than 2 transactions holds up the line.... 1 call with 4 transaction or 4 seperate calls with 4 transaction? Make it make sense. I do believe that holding up the line is not the reason... I will never order from a company that doesn't want the business or money... their loss. I hope your policy changes and I will give them our business. I love to refer people to good places but after this experience. This isn't a place I would refer.

Amazing place. Been coming since they opened. I've had it brought to me in Georgia before. I will always assert this is the best in town.

The man and woman at the front on 3.13.23 were nice and helpful. We really enjoyed everything we got and literally the only area I think they could improve on is slightly less pepper in the beef. It was a nice little lunch place and the staff kept it clean and were attentive while we ate. Fair price for the amount of food you get. I got a small and we shared sides, and we left full and happy!

Parking lot is small so spaces are limited. We went at 12pm and it was fairly busy. From taking our order at the register and waiting was probably less than 10 minutes. The dining area is small too. Customer service was great. They have a lot of variety in terms of the different cheesesteak sandwiches and wraps that they offered. I got the one with the mushrooms and it was pretty good. Wish the portions were a bit bigger and it was loaded with more cheese. A lot of the steak in mine was a bit charred but I didn’t mind. Onions rings were large and deliciously fried!

Best eatery period! I’ve eating there about 5or 6 years give or take. I tried the, voo doo and have never cared to try another sandwich. The employees are awesome and the phillys are out of this world. Can’t give enough credit. I recommend it !! Steak and cheese fries. Don’t forget those! Forgive me if I get his name wrong. He’s been there forever. If you get lucky enough for him to make it, you in for a treat. I believe his name is Jeff. Every cook is awesome but Jeff is the s*^•. Only blonde headed fella in there. Honestly, how can anyone enjoy a meal when they see the cook with his pants sagging and his rear showing. That’s just gross and poor management. Isn’t that a health department violation? If not it should be.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the philly cheese steak at philly me up it’s really good, but the only problem is, the hrs. I say Monday thru friday 1030 am to 6pm and Saturdays from 1030 to 7pm. I think that’ll be a lot better.

I love Philly Me Up food but I’ll never eat here again. I usually call my order in and pick it up. This day I called literally 30 times and they didn’t answer. Once I finally got an answer, the cashier put me on hold for 10 minutes and then just hangs the phone up. The worst part is as I wait on my 7 Phillys, I noticed the cashier handling food after she handled money several times. Not only that, the same cashier scratches her head with the gloves on, she rubs her nose several times with the gloves on and go right back to putting bread in the toaster without ever washing her hands. I asked them not to toast my bread because between her touching money, scratching her head and cleaning her nose with her hands and right back to toasting bread without washing her hands is a nooooo for me.

Food is delicious! They have a sign up which reads " Hiring Smiling Faces". I sure hope they find some!

They have so many sandwich options. Some seem pretty off the wall. Every thing has been good. You may have to wait a little bit for your food, but they make it fresh, and your sandwich will be lava hot when you get it. The fries are meh. The place is small and fills up fast for lunch, and they almost always have a line of people getting to go orders. I have seen people complain about their eyes burning from the oinions cooking. Small price to pay for the best Philly in town.

Best Subs and Phillips in Baton Rouge. They need to open up multiple locations or expand that locations kitchen and dining because their food is SOOO GOOD that they have to turn down big money call in orders. Btw, my favorite is the Da Gumbo sub with chicken, sausage, and big mouth full sized shrimp, and somehow the sandwich is never soggy like I was questioning the first time I ordered it. But it doesn't really matter what you order there, IT IS SUPERBLY DEEELISH!! 10 🌟S
