Great food, service and outdoor atmosphere.

Have passed by several times and decided to try it out. Sunday afternoon we stopped to eat. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Had the small fish dinner. Fish was lightly battered and seasoned well. Fish cooked well and was delicious. Beans were good. Daughter had the kids bbq ribs. She enjoyed them as well. When you’re in Counce, stop and try out the fish. You will not be disappointed.

I was a little skeptical about the smoked catfish. They offered us a sample and it was awesome! Go there. Have the fish. You won't regret it. Also, everyone there was friendly and fun.

I had their coconut shrimp dinner and it was amazing! The food came out quickly and the temperature was perfect. That’s a big deal to me. It was delicious! We had a group of 13. Our waitress took such good care of all of us. Their prices are reasonable.

We were camping at Pickwick and stopped here for a Sunday lunch. This family-owned place was so inviting. The catfish was fantastic as was all the other sides we ordered. I was down from Canada and never had tried fried okra…loved it. The owner came and talked with us. It was just a nice experience. I liked it so much, I bought the t-shirt. I hope to return someday.

We visited for the first time yesterday. What a gem! They have been in business since the mid-70s and they know catfish! Their specialty is smoked catfish... it is amazing! It falls off the bone and has a wonderful smokey, spicy flavor. Don't ask them what is the the seasoning mix they use, because they won't give away the secret. The fried catfish is probably the best we've ever eaten. For all you GF people like me, they will fry your catfish without batter! I recommed eating it with the Cajun remoulade. The fish is light, flaky, and very moist. My wife and son also loved the Cajun puppies, another speciality of this restaurant. Oh... and they serve a complimentary basket of hush puppies and fried okra! The service was impeccable and we sat down only 45 minutes before closing. They were so gracious and did not try hurry us out when closing time arrived. The family who owns/operates the place bought it from the original owners and have maintained the original recipes. The decor is very basic, but that was fine with us because it did not detract from the dining experience. This place has become our new go-to catfish restaurant!!

Firstly, you get okra and hushpuppies. They were both delicious! The hushpuppies are crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside with onions in the batter. We ordered fried green tomatoes to start. They were cornmeal breaded and fried crispy served with ranch: they were so good! Cooked perfectly! We both got fried catfish fillets with crinkle fries, hushpuppies, and cole slaw. The fish was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and fried. Very nice flavor! My boyfriend ended with the lemon icebox pie made in house. He loved it! We also enjoyed sitting outside on a beautiful day. There is a covered and open option outside. We recommend highly!

Best catfish I have had in a long time. The service was great, but the food was amazing. Served fast and hot! Everything was cooked just right, seasoned perfectly. I will definitely have this as my place to go to for catfish at pickwick!

Food is always fresh and hot. The sevice is always top notch, and the pie is so yummy. Leave some room for it.

This is not a fine dining gourmet restaurant but If you want great fried fish, Cole slaw and hush puppies(I am a hush puppy connoisseur 🤣)this IS the place to go! Hands down the best I have had in years!! They are known for their smoked catfish; the taste is great but a bit spicy for me…the guys at our table loved it! And appreciated the difficulty in learning to smoke the catfish so perfectly. We were traveling through the area on a boat headed back to Chattanooga, TN from Stuart, Fl. and a couple we know from the area were kind enough to take us here. I could not have been happier with the choice! Great people, great meal!

We ate there May 6th for the 2nd time. The first time the food was ok , but a little pricy. Service was good and owner very friendly. This time the owner was friendly and service was great but the food was very bad. Worst catfish dinner I have ever had! The fish was so saturated in grease that I used 4 napkins to soak the grease out. A cashier saw me and asked if anything was wrong and did I want more fish. Well , why would I want more of that grease soaked stuff? The slaw had no seasoning, so I added a little sugar, salt and pepper so it would be fit to eat. Fries were greasy too. I don't think they've ever heard of a water filter because the water tasted awful. When we checked out, we weren't asked if the food was ok! I told her how bad everything was and she said " I'm sorry it wasn't good". Never offered us a discount or anything. This is a perfect example of some people will eat anything to socalize!!! If you go there, don't order fish! We will never go there again, not even if it was free!

Highly recommend this place. Smoked Catfish was very good. Homemade hush puppies were different but very good. Family owned and everyone was super nice. Service was quick and friendly. Only down side is the gravel parking lot. If you stay at Pickwick Landing this place is a must.

Were there almost every sunday for lunch. Fish is the best, great service. Can't wait til it gets little warmer outside. They have outdoor dinning. Must try.

Best smoked and fried Catfish east of the Mississippi River. The fried pickles for an appetizer are amazing. The food is always hot when they bring it out and fresh. The staff is top notch as well and very friendly. Catfish farm is highly recommended, way better than the Historic Hotel down the road. 5 Stars.

Some of the best catfish I've had anywhere. The hushpuppies were so tasty my wife liked them, and she usually won't eat them. Nice folks working there, as were the other patrons. If you're in the area try them out.

Catching this place opened has been challenging but worth the effort. My waitress was tha bomb and my fried fish plate was definitely delicious. I'm so glad I was able to get there when they were open. Check em out!

First time going. It's been a long while since I've had fried catfish that I can actually eat since my last experience at Hagys (fish tasted like I was licking mud). This catfish was a wonderful delight because I'd been craving it! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

They greeted us by opening the door when we arrived! Food was fresh and delicious. I wasn’t sure if I wanted the smoked fish so they brought out a sample, it was amazing. My wife and I share a large catfish fillet plate and it was plenty. Hot and fresh! Complimentary hush puppies and okra. Small, quaint and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Prices a little high. Fillets weren't especially flavorful, but the whole fish were excellent...as was the lemon icebox

Excellent attentive service and great local food. Of course, we had to get the smoked catfish, and it was excellent. The smoke flavor really comes through. We also got the sampler platter and liked everything on it. You can't go wrong with whatever you pick. To finish, we had the homemade key lime pie, and even I liked it, and I'm not a big fan of it in general. Cold beer and cold mugs available. It's a great little family owned and operated restaurant that really strives to get it right. There is indoor or outdoor seating on the covered patio where they let us have our dogs with us.

This place was amazing . The food is great ..the service is amazing. Hannah was our waitress an she was great. The experience an food has all the locals with the fish beat hands down! The place aint doused up ..but it for sure is worth the stop. Unfortunately they are only open on the weekends..jus fyi. If u are traveling down 57 near Pickwick on the weekend try it , or if u jus would like to try some good food run out an give them a try.

Smoked catfish is surprisingly delicious! Free fried okra and hushpuppy appetizer. Big yard next to covered outdoor seating perfect for kids that need to run around while waiting for food.

Certainly the food was wonderful (we got the sampler) but we really enjoyed the family that runs this business. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing, dining experience.

This is a great place, a little gem hidden off the side of the road, family owned and operated with excellent food. You have got to try their smoked whole catfish. It's worth the stop you'll be glad you did.

Shrimp boil was delicious. Prices seem a bit high for the area.

The best meal I have had in a very long time! The smoked catfish was unusually amazing. You must have it. The slaw and hush puppies are the best anywhere. Topped it off with homemade lemon merangue pie. What else can I say. Oh, the staff is awesome.
