Am updating my review by adding what a personable place Towne Cafe is. I'm an avid road cyclist. Today they made me a delicious egg bagel sandwich to go. Double wrapped it. I tucked it into my bike bag, and 20 miles later ate it overlooking the ocean. Yummy! This is definitely my go-to place: the food is so consistently fresh, tasty, high-quality AND - the people serving you couldn't be nicer. Also, the prices are very reasonable. The owner and his very friendly staff provide their customers with a pleasant, welcoming and clean environment, too.

Had a great experience as usual today! The drive through was incredibly quick, always great service and reasonably priced. I had a delicious gluten-free bagel, which is so hard to find! Looking forward to my next trip!

Nice people. A regular stop for locals. Nothing fancy just good food at a reasonable price. Been going there for decades.

I’ve been searching for a breakfast place on the way to work and I highly recommend stopping by! It’s a short ride off of the 495 exit and way better than Dunkin Donuts or Andyman’s in Amesbury (which I know people love, but my in my opinion it’s unsanitary and gross!) they have lots of coffee flavors to choose from and a drive-thru with great staff!

I have to say that the Towne Cafe has the best food and best staff. They are friendly and work very hard. It is a pleasure to visit with them everyday. There is no place better.

I come here every morning and Sherry pumps me up for the day. Always a pleasant greeting and conversation filled with compliments and spunk. They all work so hard! And it shows. Definitely support this small business

I absolutely love this place. I have yet to be able to go inside, but I use their drive thru whenever I can. I am always on the road, so I don't get too much time to stop and eat, but when I'm in the area. I always make time to go to their window and get some food. I seriously cannot rate this establishment high enough.

Sometimes if they get busy they get distracted for phone in orders. However once there they are quick, friendly and the breakfast sandwich and burgers are decent and well worth the money. They are made fresh which makes a huge difference

Lovely place for a morning meal or a quick coffee before work

Coffee was excellent, my bagel breakfast sandwich was cooked to perfection, and the staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful describing possible fillings. This will not be my last visit! Highly recommend for a quick fresh breakfast sandwich!

Great breakfast sandwich place. I would not suggest the mint chocolate coffee though. Get the pistachio one instead

Used to be Common Grounds, was the town donut shop in Merrimac Ma. They recently changed to an everyday Cafe. Great Egg sandwiches. Nice to have a local place to have breakfast!!

I went for lunch, had a ham egg and cheese on a bagel. The sandwich was very good. The ham isn't your deli ham, it tasted like a home baked ham. The place looked very clean and staff was friendly. This is a great place for a quick lunch or breakfast. I also had a donut and it was nice and fresh.

We used to go to the common grounds for their delicious sausage peppers and onions...so today we went to the new place that tookover and we asked if the sausage subs were the same and the owner said absolutely to my wife so she ordered 2 subs....this guy lied because the peppers and onions were not even close to CG use to do and the sausage was small cut up not like the full size sausage from b4...now i wish my wife didnt tell him that he only charged for 1 sub ...we will c how long you last....

Almost $5 for 3 donuts that seemed stale. It was our first time in this place. The woman who took our order and got our donuts was quite rude. I definitely will not be taking anyone (including myself) back here again. Do yourself the favor and go to Dunkins that's right down the street. There's also a heavenly donuts. Oh the six elderly people that were only drinking coffee made me think this is the only reason why they come here.

Mom & Pop coffee shop with everything and more to offer for breakfast and lunch. They are open 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm. They offer 28 flavors of coffee, from New England Coffee who roast the flavorings in, so no syrups needed! Highly recommend coming here versus chain competitors.

Common grounds is awesome! I go here anytime I'm in town and have NEVER been disappointed with anything. Service is always with a smile and quick. Try it all!

Great pastries and bagels and terrific service. It's a local version of heavenly donuts. They both serve New England Coffee, which is meh. I wish they would offer a super premium coffee like Intelligentsia.

Really good food and nice staff

Was house-sitting near here and my friend said it's a must go place. And I will never get any other coffee shops sandwiches, coffee, anyting if I have a say in it it will be Common Grounds. The staff is patient, amazing, and knowledgeable. They'll suggest things if you're new. My friend I brought the second time I went that lives in Worcester area which is almost an hour and a half away. She is very indecisive and needed some coddling LOL. And again the staff was very sweet and gracious helping her decide. And listed so many options right off the top of their head. The conversations great the food is amazing coffee is amazing. It's just a great place all around you'll be stupid if you don't try this. And I don't even have to tell you that you won't want to go anywhere else because it will speak for itself.

Discovered this local shop about 12 years ago on my trip to my boat. Cannot drive by and go out of my way now for the best food & nicest people anywhere. Only wish it was closer to me so I could "hang" there.

This is one of my small town favorite coffee shops! All of the employees are super friendly and attentive! The coffee is always fresh and ready, the bagels are delicious as well!!

Pleasant people and good selection if brewed flavor coffee. This IMO is very comparable to Heavenly Donuts quality but has a larger menu. Certainly better than Dunkin Donuts.

Common Grounds gave not only me, but two of my friends an extremely quality experience. Right off the bat one can tell the environment is exceptional, seeing friendly faces throughout. The food is phenomenal. My buddy, when asked about his seseme seed bagel, replied "They put the best amount of butter on this. I dont get how." I think thats the best way to describe how good they are. I dont get how.

Me and my friend go b4 school and we get really gr8 service and iced coffie is done better then dunkins does have a ton of sugar in it but yummy 😀
