Fantastic family adventure! Both captains were very friendly and informative. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun tour of some of the lakes that make up the chain.

My husband and I enjoyed the pirate ship with captain Steve and Jaimie, will go again if we are in the area.

My SIL and I decided to take a tour of the lakes. Capt Steve and his crew are great. They do an amazing job with the kids on board. If you have children, this is a must do while in Eagle River. We did a 5:30-7 tour on Thur Aug 29, 2024. It was a beautiful way to end the day just cruising around the lakes. Highly recommend.

Pizza should not start at $25 and add $4 for each topping, I paid $34 for a medium sized pizza with a 15% tip, but I came back to write this review cuz I have another mysterious $5 charge from them on top of my $34 transaction. $39 for a basic pizza? Ridiculous. Kids on the beach looked happy but all their parents were at the tiki bar getting wasted

My family had a wonderful time on the tour. The captain and crew were great with my 11 and 9 year old. Both got to drive the ship and enjoyed the tattoos and bandanas. Great for adults too. Also had fun playing cornhole and getting ice cream. Lovely gardens to walk through and admire. This is a great spot to chill out, even if you don’t take the boat tour. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic afternoon! There's quite a bit to do before and after your cruise. The family takes pride in their business and it shows!

Pleasant cruise, grandkids had three turns at steering the pirate ship. Saw two eagle nests on this chain of lakes. A snack and water or lemonade is served. Had pizza while waiting for the cruise which was good.

Had a great time. Brought the grandkids and the6 had a ball. Would recommend!

We didn’t ride the Pirate ship. Maybe next time. We enjoyed a couple beverages at the tiki bar and bought a couple of items in the gift shop. Our first time here to check everything out. We’ll be back. The tickets in advance thing is only if you want a specific time.

Great tour with or without kids. Our adult group thoroughly enjoyed the boat and tour. I's a fun relaxing and informative tour of part of the chain of lakes. Captain Steve is fabulous, the tiki bar and food are amazing. Looking forward to coming back next year. Thanks again Pirate's Hideaway!

The pirate ship tour is always a lot of fun. The crew make it an enjoyable experience providing commentary on things to see (eagle nests, otters ...) around the multiple lakes you tour. Some pirate snacks are provided. As this was a sunset cruise, we got to see a beautiful sunset over the lakes and also as it had rained briefly at the beginning of our trip there were rainbows. Seating is comfortable and everyone has the opportunity to move around the ship during the cruise. Going up to the top where the captain drives the ship is always fun as you can see more from that high vantage point and Captain Steve always accommodates the kids who want to drive the ship. Many times, there are hand drawn (temporary) tattoos done on kids by the pirate crew members. The ship ride is a very fun experience for kids and adults alike. The wood fired oven pizzas are GREAT. A wide variety of options for people to choose from. The Best in the whole Northwoods area with top notch ingredients and a crust that is simply wonderful. Oh, and don't miss the ice cream stand on the upper deck of the shore facility above the music pavilion/tiki bar. LOTS of options and amazing sundaes. The "pirate/island" drink menu is fantastic. The bartenders are wonderful and clearly work hard to serve the many customers. Also, they have Live music 4 nights a week (FREE) that provides for a great evening with all the other amenities. Wide variety of music provided and always entertaining. Lots of games for kids and adults to play out on the lawn area by the lake, and many tables for seating both in shade and in sun as desired. On some occasions they have a person with huge bubble maker and at least once or twice there is a real live mermaid, both of which the kids of all ages thoroughly enjoy. Pirates Hideaway is simply a pirate's treasure in the Northwoods and something everyone can enjoy. We go multiple times in the summer and are never disappointed. We HIGHLY recommend a visit to see Captain Steve, Linda, Pirates Stevo and Jamie and all of their wonderful staff.

Great tour for kids. The captain and the girl showing the eagles etc were very nice and of course. It's a pirate ship for the kids.

My kids did the tour with their grandparents this past weekend. Pizza & ice cream before the boat ride was very good. Everyone really enjoyed the boat ride on the Eagle River lakes. The kids LOVED taking turns driving the boat & getting some cool pirate inspired temporary tattoos.

This place is a must for families. We did the boat ride on Wednesday and came back for pizza, drinks and ice cream Thursday. Everything was wonderful. Everyone in our group from 2 to 70 loved it. We will be back next year during our summer stay.

I can't say enough good things about our pirate ship cruise / adventure. Captain Steve is wonderful and so great with the kids. The captain's daughter is a wonderful tour guide. We all enjoyed the beautiful tour around the Lakes and the kids enjoyed playing pirate for the hour and a half boat ride.  Highly recommend. Note: we tried to go on this boat ride last year but didn't realize it can be booked up weeks in advance. This year we bought our tickets in May to guarantee our seats in August and we lucked out and had beautiful weather.

Stopped here for a drink and to sit by the lake. This is a nice place with seating by the water, a bar, ice cream, and menu items. We did not eat but sat at a table right on the water and enjoyed the day. They had lots of activities for families (hoola hoops, jenga, cornhole) outside.

Pirate's Hideaway is an amazing lil gem! Absolutely fun place to listen to music or sip tiki drinks. They also have 3 cruises aboard the ship each day. Captain and his daughter are suchhhhh wonderful people who make your experience so fun! Water and lemonade aboard! Tattoos! Bubbles! Spiral staircase! Kids pirate package with bandana, sword eye patch, 'stauch, etc! Highly recommend this fun lil excursion, especially at Sunset! Niceeeee boat ride through 6 lakes and the kids even got to drive! Love this EVERY TIME we go!

We absolutely love Pirates Hideaway! The ship ride was so much fun. Jamie is great. We had a blast with our son being able to steer the boat! The pizza was delicious and we loved the ice cream! Can’t recommend this enough. Sitting outside and listening to the awesome live music! The best!

We absolutely love Pirates Hideaway, and it’s always on our must do list when in the Northwoods. The pizza is AMAZING — no joke, our kids said it was their favorite part of summer 2023. Their tiki drinks are delicious, have great live music nights, and we love that our kids can be kids with hula hoops, cornhole, and giant jenga throughout.

We stopped there to see about the pirates boat tour, and were told we needed reservations. It was a spur of the moment plan and they were able to get us on the boat ride. Awesome service.

Pizza here is phenomenal, however, the daily grind ice cream is to die for. Everyone here is great.

The whole family loved the pizza's and the Pirate Ship cruise through the chain of lakes. Great seeing all the deer, eagle nests, and the eagles themselves; so many!

Super cute and unique. Beautiful garden all around with picnic benches on the lake front. My kids loved the ice cream and to sit and look at the pirate ship. The drinks on the other hand were over priced, Id give more stars if I didn't spend almost $8 on a high noon.

Family owned and operated, and we really enjoyed it! Great wood fired pizza, beautiful landscaping, and if you visit from the water you can pull your boat up to their dock. We had a really fun ride on the pirate ship!! Definitely a place you should go to if you're in the area.

We were having rain and they let us know we could get a refund or reschedule, but we ended up going and the weather was fine. We really enjoyed the ride, seeing sites and watching eagles. Since we do not own a boat, this was a way we could enjoy a boat ride with our guests visiting us. We will do it again - we had a nice time. They have a great tiki bar, gift shop, and ice cream for sale. Their grounds are kept up very well and they have lovely flowers. An enjoyable stop in Eagle River

This was our 2nd time going. The weather wasn't the best on Sunday when we went but still had an awesome time! Definitely recommend! My granddaughter said she would give it 10 stars if she could! 😊

Loved the experience, the captain of the ship pointed out all the Eagles and the Eagles nest. He gave us a brief history of the homes and the area. He also shared how the pirateship landed in Wisconsin 🤣. It's a great place to take pics. Overall, great VIVES

Excellent experience! Great 90 minute pirate boat ride through the Eagle River chain, with stops near eagle's nests. Captain is very friendly and fun to talk to. Kids enjoyed the pirate experience. Could easily spend an entire afternoon or evening here.

This place is so fun! We had such a great time doing the pirate ship cruise! Such a great atmosphere and a perfect place to bring the family and out of town guests. The good was great, especially the ice cream!

Took a couple of our grandsons and we’re thoroughly pleased. Their pizza is killer, too. The boat ride was a bit pricey, but the captain & his daughter were knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended

We used to rent a pontoon boat but then did the Pirate Ship cruise... wish we had done it soo many years sooner. Out family had a blast again this year with our son asking to do it. The staff are great, pizza outstanding and overall a memorable experience.

Our family of 4, with kids ages 14 and 3, had an awesome time. The ship is really fantastic...my 3 year old son was in awe. And the Captain's Daughter, Jamie was so great with kids. The well timed activities of putting on bandanas, getting snacks and drinks, getting a chance to sail the ship, and getting tattoos all while seeing eagle's nests and eagle's themselves made the 1.5 hour ride feel like a breeze. The woodfired pizza was also amazing. So happy we did this and will recommend it to all friends and family. And we would love to visit again!

Pizza had good amount of sausage, fair amount of onion but very little mushrooms. Tasted good but the crust was partially burnt. Cost $25 for the 3 topping 12 inch pizza + tip + $5 charge for using credit card.

Fun boat experience on a pirate ship in the northern lakes. Great experience for both the young and old.

We took our grandsons, ages 9 and 3, and we all had an absolutely wonderful time, even though it was cold quite cool outside. The rain ended just in time and we were able to enjoy the entire cruise. The 9 year old got to pilot the ship for almost the entire trip. He was in heaven. The captain and crew, both on board and on shore, were friendly and made the boys' trip very memorable. I highly recommend you walk the plank!

Pirates hideaway is a great place that you can go to and have a lot of fun on certain nights they have live bands you can bring your kids even though they do serve liquor but they have pizza and hot dogs and mozzarella sticks and burgers to eat and the main attraction of course is the pirate ship Now if you want tickets I suggest you book them ahead of time as they only take so many people out on each cruise when we went there we had a private cruise and our private cruise was booked 10 months in advance so we had the exact night we wanted and the time and we took a sunset cruise so as we came back into the pirate's cove we got to see a beautiful sunset The lawns on the back leading out to the water have picnic tables and chairs and the kids run around and there's hula hoops at night they have people out there with light up hula hoops and different things that you can watch it's great again it's a place where both children and adults can have a good time

It was a very fun boat ride. They cater to children by handing out pirate bandanas and offer tattoos. Chips, water, and lemonade are served. We saw several eagles and a few nests.

Family friendly, laid back atmosphere with an amazing staff. We stop in whenever we are in the area and have been doing so for 5+ years. Tiki bar has a Caribbean vibe with a great drink selection. The kids enjoy the ice cream shop, yard games and the pirate ship. Truly something for everyone!

We LIVE this place! Such a great ambiance and family friendly atmosphere. The owners are great and our youngest son is obsessed with Captains Steve and Stevo who drive the pirate ship. This place is a forever "must stop" when in Eagle River!

We took a boat ride 1 1/2 hour 35.00 a person would recommend buying tickets ahead of time. there is no entry fee. Nice place to hang out. Ice cream and pizza was awesome super friendly people highly recommend.

Great place for a family member fun

It was a great and fun experience. The tour of the 6 lakes gave a good perspective of the massive chain of lakes. We'd do it again!

Went here with the kids in 2018 and reserved spots on the pirate ship cruise. Kids had a blast. We've tried to come back each year since for ice cream and drinks, and haven't been disappointed. It's still a great place, highly recommended. Very relaxing tiki bar on the shore and an excellent garden entrance. The ship still sets sail to plunder the river so buckle up.

Everything was good and right on the lake. Drinks were good, they don't serve shots, and the pizza is a little overpriced.

This place is very unique for northern Wisconsin. It’s something you would find at the Dells or Lake Geneva. Either way, glad it’s in Eagle River. A must visit experience with the family!

The Sea Erra's Carnita Pizza was PHENOMENAL! The combination of ingredients was brilliant...super yummy.

The wood fired pizza is great! They make their own dough and you can tell. The crust is airy and delicious.

Loved every minute of this pirate adventure! Very reasonably priced. The captain and crew were very nice and knowledgeable about the area. The info was especially helpful for us coming from San Diego. The kiddos loved getting the bandana and tattoo! My pirate obsessed 5 year old was over the moon to meet the captain and show him his treasure map. I had to stop at the tiki bar and try the Soggy Dollar (aka the BVI’s Painkiller). It was delicious and a perfect way to end the experience. Thanks so much for a fun and relaxing afternoon!

What an amazing experience. Captain Steve and the swashbuckling crew were great. Such a fun ride. 😊 The pizza is the best ever. The tiki bar and entertainment are always a good time.

We did not actually book the boat ride, we only stopped to check it out and eat some lunch, so this review is based only on that. We arrived right when they open at 11am, and there were quite a few people there already. It took about 10-15 minutes of standing in line to order food/drinks. We then waited for probably 40 minutes to get our food, which was two hot dogs and loaded nachos. It was certainly not worth the wait. Our four year old did have a fun time, however. They have different games outside to keep kids and families busy. The pirate was also wonderful to our son, as he took the time to bring him up on the boat, show him around, and give him some treasure.
