On vacation with the family... it's good to find real bread, the coffee is very good, for the same price it's not worth going to take an overdose of sugar at Starbucks... We will come back

Pitchoun! Is a cool place with good customer service. Their lattes are absolutely amazing and their sandwiches are of European quality! However, the baguettes can be slightly chewy and over buttered sometimes and other times they have too little butter. More consistency would be preferred! I have dined in, done delivery and takeout 😂 so I have tried it all!

Perfect breakfast spot for downtown LA. We were staying at the Biltmore and looking for some coffee and stumbled upon this place. Attention to detail in their decorating, excellent food, phenomenal lattes, (which I NEVER say). We definitely will come back. My husband had the Tomato and Egg Focaccia, I had the Atlantic smoked salmon sandwich, we both had lattes and we took a baguette for the road.

Why would you open a coffee shop as late as 8am ?? I love your coffee, but I’m really frustrated that you open at 8 am. Most of us start our day around that time, so we can’t enjoy your coffee before work. A coffee shop should be open early enough for people to grab a coffee before their day starts. Please consider opening earlier, this late opening is really disappointing.

Great breakfast spot in DTLA. Grab one of the hightables right by the window, so nice to people watch. Service is super friendly and helpful, food is delicious and big portions. My friends and I went the last 3 days to have breakfast. Wide choice of dishes for breakfasts of all kinds, the pastries and cakes are always soft and the croissants can vary from those with a crunchier crust to a softer one. Obviously it depends on your tastes. Short waiting times and helpful customer service. Clean toilets lv.A Drinks can be had at the restaurant or Take Away to take away.

Pitchoun! is a city bakery with tasty food & a fine vibe for a quick stop. I came for breakfast while traveling for work, and was hoping for a cozy spot to work & read while having breakfast. While there is seating, it wasn’t as cozy as I had hoped - wobbly tables, the kind of spot you bring the kids & family on vacation when you just need to find a spot near your hotel, sometimes a bit loud & kid-packed because of that. Overall, solid spot for a pastry, but I wouldn’t write home about it.

Atmosphere and service were nice. It was nice that they were open on the weekend. However we had some complaints about the food: 1) my mother's egg Benedict whites were on the more liquid side. They were underdone. 2) my veggie omelette had no cheese in it, even though it said it came with it on the menu. 3) the eggplant sandwich would be much, much better if it was warm. It was very disappointing to receive a few cold eggplant sandwich. If they improved these food complaints it would have been a very nice experience. We were in a rush so unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the environment much and didn't have time to let the staff know about the food issues. People probably come here more for the pastries, and we didn't actually get any of those, so our lower rating will not reflect the quality of their pastry selection.

Toast so hard it was inedible. Rotten lettuce in salad. When I spoke to the manager she was rude and didn’t care. They also run a loud dust vac in the food prep area that is hard to hear over. Just had the WORST breakfast! They can neither make pastry nor coffee properly. They claim that the pastries are freshly made daily, if that's the case, then it is either because they are lying or they really cannot make them properly. Here is some breakdown of the terrible pastries and coffee we had: 1. Raspberry croissant: How dare to even call it a croissant! The puff pastry itself collapsed, there is no layer or texture whatsoever, very DRY and BITTER. The dough tastes raw. The raspberry jam tastes cheap and is not freshly made for sure. 2. Canele: How dare they charge more than $4 for this terrible canele?? A good canele should have a shiny crispy outside and a creamy moisture inside, this canele has a really terrible outside that is soggy, and the taste is too bad. 3. Cappuccino: Italians would be dead if served with this. The waiter said she made this with a proper coffee machine and proper technique, but guess what? What I received is just a cup of coffee with extra large, unrefined bubbles on top. This is NOT A GOOD FOAM! If you cannot make a proper foam then how dare you to open this cafe, just check any YouTube video for tutorial. Final words. If you don't believe me, just go Bottega Louie for croissant to try how different they taste, and BL even costs less!

It’s been a while since I’ve been here. I used to come quite often, decided to enjoy brunch this afternoon. I must say everything used to be outstanding, but not today, not only was the food mediocre, but the service horrendous. We ordered two Parisian omelettes, which not only came cold, but with stale bread and in order of French toast, which was actually pretty good however, being so thick it barely absorbs the small ramekin of Maple syrup served with it. Given that there was not quite enough syrup, and it was filled up only 3/4 of the way, I asked for another one and was told that I would need to pay an additional dollar which of course I did. Believe me I can will afford to pay for not only the $70 brunch but the dollar for extra syrup it’s just the point of not going a little extra for a customer. Very disappointed

The meal description online shows eggs Benedict with a side salad or potatoes and it’s even required as an option. I really wanted to like this place because the ambience was very welcoming. I ordered to-go a iced cinnamon latte, iced matcha latte, a beignet vanilla croissant and an almond croissant. Both lattes were watered down, the matcha especially, had no sweetener, and I could feel the matcha powder balled up and break apart into dry powder in my mouth. The cinnamon latte was okay, not much to say. When I tried the beignet at home, i realized it's basically the same dough used in Mexican doughnuts, shaped like a croissant. It's a bit bland and the custard center left a lot to be desired, and tasted artificial. The almost croissant was extremely dry and hard. I understand most of the time day old croissants are used for almond croissants but this was at least 2-3 days old or was left too long in the oven. I spent over $37 dollars to essentially throw away the matcha latte and other bakery items. The only item that saved this review was the turkey and cheese croissant: it was fresh, crispy and the fried Parmesan added the best crunch. I really wish the other items hadn't soured the experience because I don't think I'll ever try this place again.

Overall: 3.3/5 (dine in) They have a huge selection of pastries and serve breakfast/brunch items like egg benedicts. They also have monthly specials as well. After you order, they give you the pastry and a table number. The table number is for the drinks which was interesting to me. However, service could have been better. Pistachio Croissant ($5.95): The croissant was pretty big and full of pistachio. The lady didn't heat up the croissant and just put it on the plate. It didn't have much flavor but I felt it could have tasted better if it was warm. Iced Vanilla Latte ($6.60): The last recommended the vanilla latte as the best iced ones they had. Unfortunately, it was very milky so you only get hints of coffee here and there. It got worse as the ice melted so I would recommend you go somewhere else for coffee. Iced Matcha Latte ($6.15): Let's just say matcha is not their specialty. It tasted kinda bitter + milky so after my husband and I each took a sip, we added 1.5 packets of honey to make it taste better. It helped but obviously we would not be ordering drinks from here again. Our experience wasn't good but our friends who were with us enjoyed their chai latte, Americano, baguette, and croissant.

Very disappointed with our visit today. My wife ordered a vegetable omelet, and I ordered the breakfast sandwich. She got a cappuccino, and I got an Americano as well. The food came out and my sandwich was on a croissant. I wanted it on ciabatta, and I forgot to mention that when I ordered. To be clear the young lady taking our order didn't ask either. When I asked to get it changed, the person that came over thought I was asking her to debate what the menu said rather than just correct my order. She said it comes on croissant. I reminded her the menu offers either croissant or ciabatta. We had to get insistent to get her to change the bread. Mistake. The ciabatta was at least 2 to 3 days old. It was dry, stale, and stiff. The scrambled eggs were cooked hard and brown. Very unappetizing sandwich. I didn't eat the bread. My wife's omelet was over-cooked as well. Fried hard and brown. The coffees were OK. This visit was really disappointing since we like to have breakfast here when we're in town. We may have to rethink a return visit.

I have never been disappointed with the food here. Amazing bakery, great matcha latte, and breakfast sandwich... amazing. So glad I came in during my visit to LA!

I’ve driven by so many times. The place looks cute, has great people watching tables outside and seems fun and lively. It’s often packed. Today I saw they serve Huevos Rancheros. However, the picture
