I’m from out of town and I asked some folks where I’m camping what they would recommend for pizza four out of five pizza 2000! That’s enough for me so I stopped in last night and got a large sausage pizza asked them to cook it a little extra. When they handed me my pizza, it was hot as hell Was not as well done as I prefer I would discover there was a reason why. It smells and tastes incredible. The crust is absolutely on point! Speaking of the crust the reason they didn’t brown the top more was because the crust cooked pretty fast and it was already a little crunchy, which was fine. I was a little surprised to see slices of sausage instead of ground sausage. Nonetheless, the sausage is delicious. It’s very mild so it should suit pretty much everyone’s flavor. The cheese is delicious and the sauce is pretty special too. It’s more of a stewed tomatoes chunks in a very savory garlic sauce. Highly recommended. I wish I could give them 5 1/2 stars but I do highly recommend having Pizza 2000!

The Gorgi salad was fantastic, as usual! That's all we ever order, usually getting it to go, but dined in this time, which was nice like it always has been!

I was here several years ago and remember good pizza/food. I wanted to try again last night hoping to again have a good meal. Ordered a large house special pizza . When we got our pizza I was disappointed just in its appearance. There was essentially no Cornicione ( crust) . The Cornicione was almost black, dark dark brown, no rise , it was like a cracker . The bottom was as bad as. IT WAS A DISASTER, DISGRACE to pizza making and worse than store bought frozen pizza. I’m an amateur pizza maker learning the art of Neapolitan pizza and know a little bit about the art of making the dough , stretching, pizza oven and baking pizza . The bread served with our mussels was light , airy, tasty . I’m assuming it’s the same dough for the pizza so it makes me feel that the problem is WITH THE PIZZA MAKER (Pizzaiolo) . I LOOKED AT EACH PIZZA COMING OUT OF THE KITCHEN … THE SAME. YOUR Pizzaiolo NEEDS A RAPID COURSE , REFRESHER , MAJOR INSTRUCTION IN PIZZA STRETCHING , FORMING THE CORNICIONE AND BAKING IT TO THE PERFECT DONENESS . Perhaps it was an off night IDK , but it’s my opinion that if you continue to put out pizza like last night your business will suffer and can be corrected with your pizzaiolo LEARNING BETTER DOUGH STRETCHING AND FORMING . The chunky tomato sauce tasted as if it was just taken out of the can with no seasoning. Very disappointing for a pizza establishment

The food was outstanding I got the shrimp and crab Pizza. The desert was delicious I have to go back and get some more.

Wow, where do I begin. I had to wait a few weeks before writing this so as not to self-destruct with anger. Pizza is ok, similar to DHOP, as you can see from the pic it 'looks' good, but of course they put mushrooms on one which no one asked for or eats in our house, seating space is limited, but that is not the reason for 1-star, it just kind of adds to it. We decided to try something new, something local, so we order on the phone, be ready in about 20-30 minutes. Perfect. Get there a little early, cashier looks at the kitchen, nope, not ready yet. As it was busy, I said I would sit on their bench outside the door and wait there. 25 minutes go by, I was playing Clash of Clans on my phone, so I go in and check, another cashier/waitress wonders what I am doing just waiting around the register and tell her I have already paid for my order just waiting for it to be done. She has no idea what I am talking about. No one in the kitchen knows what I am talking about - they have no order for me and seem to thinks it is funny based on the smirk of the manager? head cook? guy who walks around in the kitchen? After it was deduced that they never even started the order from when we CALLED IT IN, the 2nd waitress asked me if I even still wanted the pizza. What? It's Friday night, I have waited for at least 40 minutes here for our dinner and you ask me if I want it? Yes, yes please, I will take this so I can go home and eat. When the pizza is finally done (I had been physically there for an hour now) the cook bringing it out yells out if I was still there to get the pizza and started laughing about it, then makes eye contact with me and keeps laughing. I was not smiling. I was not laughing. I just took my pizza and left. I realize it was Friday night and you are busy. I realize maybe the cooks were new and mistakes happen, but you don't smirk about it to your customers or make them feel like they are the reason YOU messed up. Yes, they did comp the meal, I did not ask for it, but I will not go back to this pizza place. I couldn't imagine how good a pizza would have to be to endure this type of behavior. So yeah, I am sure many ppl have come here and it's been great. We cannot say the same in our household.

Walked through the door walked up to counter and the 3 employees didn’t even look at me greet me or say a word to me so I left. Disappointing that basic customer service is non existent but I refuse to support a business that operates like they don’t want you there.

I see that many people love the sauce but sadly, we were not one of those people. I’ve never had just mashed tomatoes as my pizza sauce. I’m used to a thick garlic key sweet sauce. Everyone was very nice there but it just isn’t my Pennsylvania pizza that I’m used to. Really on a quest to find a favorite pizza place as I am in Fort Myers on a regular basis.

The pizza is disgusting. Total garbage loaded with corn meal and very few toppings that slides off the pizza because they’re under the cheese. The sauce is gross! The one server was overworked and the kitchen staff didn’t wear gloves while making my salad. Stay away from this place unless you want food poisoning. The sauce was spread with the cooks fingers on my food without gloves. I stood at the counter and I saw the owner cooking multiple meals without washing hands or wearing gloves. This place is a shame! Should be shut down!

I like Pizza 2000, really I do. It’s definitely worth a try if you are in the area, or if you’re contemplating a Costco pizza, go across the parking lot and get a white pizza or a 3 cheese with smooth sauce. I’ve not had a bad pie. I will say the crust is different (a recent change?) - it’s not as delicious as I remember it being but it is still good and well cooked. I’ll keep coming back.

I’ve been coming to this place for roughly 4 years and I get my Gorgonzola salad, I’ve been bringing co-workers and friends and we love the spot. I can’t believe they aren’t busier, but I love the food.

Must be new owners. Crust is not the same. The chunky sauce is definitely changed. This was my favourite pizza joint. I won’t be back.

Awesome pizza I had pepperoni & mushroom the sauce was extremely way above average all in all it's a very good Pizza.

The 3 cheese pizza is delicious! Great crust is crispy & chewy. Sauce is fresh crushed tomatoes with fresh seasonings. Really good!!!

I went to order a pizza, meat balls and mussel. I never received my mussels, and they did NOT honor me. The food is good NOT the staffing.

Not fancy. Great salad. Pizza is good but small. Everything is pretty pricey though for a small local strip mall restaurant.

We’ve been eating pizza and salad here since the 90s. Over the years, we’ve never been disappointed. Salads are fresh and delicious; the pizza isn’t like any other- fresh tomato sauce and toppings and great crust! We moved away a few years ago, but always come here for pizza several times when in town.

The antipasto salad is a meal all by itself, especially if you get the large. They're happy to customize which is good because I'm not a fan of black olives or croutons. The shredded mozzarella on top is a winner in my book, every time!

We went for gorgies and bread. Watched another customer (clearly upset) exclaim loudly to the waitress “I see vegetables!”… she ordered a salad… The waitress kept herself together. Kudos to her because that lady was ridiculous.

Twice now we have ordered from Pizza 2000. Both times they got the order wrong. The second time they ran out of what we ordered and still charged us. They didn’t tell us— we found it checking the bag. Sauce was very bland and the clams were overcooked.

Since moving to FM I’ve tried about 10 local pizza places and this is easily the worst. Threw it away and had to order something else for dinner. Even the “cheesy bread” was bad. I used quotes because lightly sprinkling cheese on the top crust of a premade loaf and barely melting it is hardly what one expects when they order cheesy bread

Great Pizza. Sometime service can be slow, but they are always slammed with orders.

The waiter was the most unfriendly person I met this year. He seems to have no fun working here.

The server was nice but my pizza was burnt. I couldn't even eat the bread it was rock solid. The bread I could eat tasted like charcoal. Maybe it was an off day for the cook but I don't think I'll come back. The server was nice 👍.

The staff was friendly enough, but the pizza was terrible. Beware when ordering a small, it’s VERY small. Crust was tough and burnt and very bland overall. I would not order again or recommend to friends.

The pizza was good, however the staff complained about an order consisting of 2 pizzas made an hour before closing.....apparently an hour is not enough time for these "professionals" to make two pies. I would be happier spending money on a less satisfactory pizza but on a more polite staff.

This is simply a great pizza and pasta spot. Locally owned, it is a small venue that simply delivers outstanding pizza, pastas and salads. The gargonzola salad is outstanding as well as the house pizza sauce. Enjoy this local gem!

It is very bad experience to get to dinner with your family and friends and see the employees with a bad attitude, and listen complaining because we arrived with still an hour to close. Instead of welcoming us with a smile, giving us the menus and attending to us. The person in the kitchen said “OMG , are you serious? “ So where is the customer service? To the owner of this business I recommend that you evaluate your employees because with this service your business will go bankrupt. It could the best pizza in Ft Myers and with this service I would never come back again and to everyone I know I will never recommend this place.

From the Gorgonzola salad to pastas and pizza, this place crushes your tastebuds. So good. Beer and wine also on the menu. Small place with attentive servers. Never disappoints---we LOVE Pizza 2000!

Ordered 2 large pizzas to take home. One was meatball, peppers, chunky tomato sauce and the other was white clam with garlic and lemon. Crust had amazing chew factor, best ever. Red sauce was superb and meatballs were plentiful and tasty. White pie had satisfying quantity of minced clams and garlic. A requested taste of lemon added to the overall taste. I’m from Connecticut which is pizza capital of the world and home of clam pizzas done the right way. Both were fantastic. Customer service was excellent. Second visit, I urge all to visit.

After not having a good experience I decided to try this place again and I was definitely impressed I have been a huge fan of the Gorgonzola salad , the service and food was great . We plan on coming back again and again

Pizza is amazing same day for some reason breading goes to cardboard once you take it home maybe fresher dough is needed !

First visit via Google search and it was awesome. Ordered two large pies to take home. One Clam with mozzarella and oregano with extra lemon and One diced tomato red pie with meatball, mozzarella, roasted peppers. Asked that both be cooked “well done”. I am from Connecticut which is home to “New Haven Pizza” considered among the best in the country. The Pizza 2000 crust is fantastic with an amazing “chew factor”. I added more lemon at home and ate a few pieces hot and then a few pieces cold as leftovers…….both were outstanding with perfect amounts of garlic, clams, cheese. The second pie was made incorrectly despite the order taker repeating my order correctly. I asked for roasted peppers and they put pepperoni instead. I don’t eat pepperoni and called them as an FYI. They were very gracious and resolved the mistake. As this is my first visit, I post 4 stars and not 5 although ALL points to 5+. The menu has other options and many items I plan to explore. Allow 35 minutes when ordering. There are tables and the restaurant is immaculate. Do not miss!” !!!

We as a family ordered a couple of pizzas from Pizza 2000. We were really pleased with the freshness of the ingredients and pizza all around. Very nice taste. We all loved it and will definitely order again.

Visited this venue recently and were very happy we did. We split a gargonzola salad which was outstanding. Then we shared a combo pizza with the chunky sauce and it was also outstanding. The service was very friendly and helpful. This place has been around for a very long time, and we now know why. If you want some really good salad and pizza, you will like this venue.

If you want to have great pizza you have to try this place. I got an individual build your own pizza with meatballs and banana peppers. I also split the goronzola salad with my mother. The restaurant Is immaculate, and the staff is amazing!

We stopped in for a Gorgie salad and a pizza. Blown away by this place. Definitely a gem in the Fort Myers area. Will be visiting again soon!!

I took my family here for dinner the other night and it was sooo good! I split a pasta dish with my husband and got a cheese pizza for our two daughters. The staff was pleasant and the food was AMAZING!!! 10/10 will try again!

I wish we had tried this place out sooner!! We looked at a few places online before deciding where to go. This sounded like what we wanted so we decided to give it a shot. We arrived and there was a 50th Birthday party going on, but they said they left a couple of tables open for everyone else. I'm so glad we decided to stay because it was incredible!! The house salad (yes, just a house salad) was probably the best plain salad I've ever had in my life. The pizza was even better. The crust was thinish, but just the right amount of crispy and chewy. The sauce and all the toppings were superb. The birthday party didn't hinder the experience whatsoever, and the service we got was fantastic!! The little ice cream truffles for desert were on point. My family will definitely be coming back here! We were very pleasantly surprised at how great it really was. It's the little things that make a pizza place good, and this place had all of them.... Even the cheese in the shakers was better than everyone else's. Go check it out!! Edit: after holding off for a long time on going since they dont really take any covid measures seriously, we tried it again and it was noticeably not as good. I don't know if they got new owners or what, but our recent order was less than stellar. The clam and bacon was made wrong (with red sauce), and our all meat pizza only had pepperoni and sausage. The salad was strange too, with the lettuce being huge uncut leaves and it was just off. This place was our favorite, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe they were just having an off day or something, but for the price, I expected more and was disappointed. I noticed one terrible review try to blame the inflated costs on Joe Biden (lol), which is completely ridiculous. I think something has changed there and I hope they can be as good as I remember. I'm going to try again soon and see. I'll update my review after. They still get 4 stars, because despite there being a few errors, it's still good pizza.

Refreshing to find pizza that is wholesome: fresh ingredients, not too salty or smothered in spices, the dough has great balance and crispness, yet not overwhelming, you taste the essential flavor of a homemade pizza, superb!

The pizza is delicious, there’s lots of choices and the small is perfect personal size or you can get a salad and split a large. I had the bacon, shrimp, onion and it was great very fresh ingredients. The kids had a cheese and a meat lovers and both loved it!

My wife and I have been looking for a place that serves Great Pizza. We found it at Pizza 2000. We ordered the House Special, it was Very Special. The crust was thin and crispy, the sauce, meats, and vegetables were fresh and tasty. The spices that were marvelous, they came through, but didn't over power the other favors. Simply put it was a gourmet experience.

They never pick up the phone and close the restaurant before their closing hours. How is this any way to run a business?

Ate here a long time ago...somehow fell off my radar.. remembered that the sauce was chunky with a zesty great flavor.. Not anymore bland chunks of tomatoes Too much basil trying to make up for blandness?? Server was impatient and almost rude Overpriced sparse salad Pie had good cheese is best I can say about this place.. Wish it had stayed off my radar.. Waste of money and calories

20 yrs of consistently making great pizza.........

This locally owned Italian restaurant is small but mighty! The Bistro Salad was delicious and the pizza was phenomenally good. Our server, Sarah, was very patient and polite with the customers during our visit which occurred at a very busy time. We will definitely return.

Shockingly good on all fronts. Having lived in the area for a decade, I thought I knew all the best pizza spots and I was wrong. If you love great NY style pizza, look no further. I was seriously blown away by the quality of their homemade sauce. Please be aware that delivery time-frames after limited to lunch, but take confidence that pickup orders are prepped up fast. I am very eager to try other dishes on their menu, as it seems like excellence is the common factor here. Would give this place 6 stars, I'm that much in love with it.

I'm from NY and for years I've been looking for good tasting pizza and lord behold I found the best pizza here.Dare I say it...better than NY pizza.

We first found Pizza 2000 almost 6 years ago when we were pregnant with our son. We don't live in Ft. Myers so we don't have the opportunity to eat here all the time. However, we make sure we get over here several times a year. We are Never disappointed! The service and quality of food is all top notch. We now have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. Both LOVE Pizza 2000 and get excited to eat there.

We love this place! A somewhat hidden location, it is small and family owned, 20+ years here. Everything is fresh; my favorites are the meat lovers pizza, and pasta with white clam sauce. Great salads, regular and half portion. It gets crowded during season, and they have a big carry out business. Try it!!

This is the BEST pizza in this entire county, in my opinion. I've been going here for over 10 years and I have never been disappointed with the food or service. The pizza is delicious and not greasy and soggy like most other pizza places I've been to. The pizza crust at this place is actually edible--it's flavorful and thin, not too hard nor too rubbery--unlike most other pizzas. Their salads and other foods are amazing, as well. I'm constantly telling people about this place because I love it so much, and they end up loving it, too. If you want some delicious pizza, this is definitely the place to go!

Best pizza I've had in the area!

Got a personal 10” for lunch one day. Great crust, good cheese and perfectly crispy, greasy pepperoni. Sauce wasn’t too sweet and they offer a chunky or smooth, I went with the smooth. I’m not a big fan of pizza that is too herby tasting, this one was borderline, no need to sprinkle on more herbs before cooking. I think the other ingredients make the pizza stand on its own. Good place, service was fast and friendly, just the right attentiveness in my opinion. I will go back. I’ve been to most pizza places in this area, this one is good.
