We are invisible to the servers. We went there for my husband birthday today around 7:40pm and not so busy. We were seated in a corner table in the back waiting a server to come. A few hostesses were just chatting in front counter area, a young man server and the chubby woman server passed us by many times but always looking other side never try to get eye contact. She asked “how is everything” to the big group in the next table and walk away. We didn’t get even a glass of water. This place used to be good . We came here all the way in very heavy traffic … but forget it, not worth to come here any more.

My husband is from Italy and I lived with him in Rome for 5 years, so when we saw they had the official designation that not even all pizzerias in Naples carry, we knew we had to visit. It was so good. We had the prosciutto e melone and the vongole al forno for antipasti. The vongole were the best we have ever had! It was incredible. Margherita pizzas were delish. Dessert was ok. We made a reservation via Google, and the table was ready right on time. Good service. Limited parking, but there was enough. Overall we were so glad we stopped in, and we’ll definitely be back for a slice of home for my husband. La vita magna’!😊

We live in Aviano Italy, came to visit our son daughter in-law and our granddaughter, service was excellent, the pizzas were great. Capricciosa was my favorite and the cannoli. The IPA beer was excellent. Tutto, grazie mille amici.

The lasagna tasted like my mother's with a wonderful spicy sauce.

We had ordered Burrata as an appetizer which was great. For the main course we ordered leone vegetarian pizza which was good but little bland for my taste buds. Desserts we had ordered Spumoni ice cream which had the taste of a syrup . We dined at this place on a weekday and there was no wait time . Food was served within 10 mins of us placing the order.

Always my go to spot for good Italian food without breaking the bank. Food, atmosphere, and staff are all great.

We were staying near SeaTac and wanted pizza. This place was a great find! It felt very welcoming and authentic, a bit like actually being in Italy. The tomato sauce on the pizza was perfection. The house wine was great. We had the pear Gorgonzola salad, a special burrata appetizer and margherita pizza. Can’t wait to go back on our next visit to Seattle.

We visited on 7/12/2024 at 6:15 pm. There is street parking along with parking on the side and in the back of the restaurant for those that drive. The bus also goes right by it you want to use public transportation. While very busy, there was a table available and we were seated immediately. This is in a converted house at the corner of Rainier and 68th in south Seattle. Out front there are a handful of tables and you can see Lake Washington. Be aware that Rainier is a busy, noisy street so be prepared if you do eat outside. Inside there is a bar that looks like it seats 6-7 people. There are many tables inside from 2 tops to 8+ for a variety of seating accomodations. The host was very friendly and attentive which made our initial experience and impression very good. Our server Liza was also very prompt, helpful and friendly. Again, a very positive and pleasant experience. We started with a bottle of white Pecorino wine that was on their specials list. Tasty and went well with our appetizer of burrata/pesto/sweet pepper sauce, also on their specials list. We really enjoyed them. The pepper sauce and pesto were very flavorful and a good compliment to the rich burrata cheese. The appetizer also came with pizza crust pieces for the cheese. We had the Sorrento pizza for our main which was plenty for two people. It was tomato sauce, crimini mushrooms, gaeta olives, mozzarella, basil, capers and prosciutto. It was delicious! The edges were medium sized and the center crust was nice and thin typical of that style. Overall the crust had a very pleasant chew. It was cooked to light golden brown and was cooked perfectly all around. No half burnt or burnt on one side and barely done on the other - it was nice and even all the way around. The flavors went together wonderfully. The salty olives, capers and prosciutto were great compliments to the light tang of the tomato sauce, the flavorful earthyness of the mushrooms and the herbal basil. Overall very flavorful and I would have it again. Based on food quality, atmosphere, and great service from our server Liza, I would highly recommend. Great for couples - date night, great for families, and perfect if you just want to sit at the bar and have you meal.

Best veg pizza I’ve ever had. It had artichokes, red bell peppers etc. Delicious. Pasta was great too. We had the eggplant appetizer and it was nice. Not super big portion but perfect for a group of three. Chilly oil was actually spicy and really good.

Great pizza and atmosphere! Feels like you’re in a small country house outside of Naples. And the food matches the vibe! Great pizza, caprese, burrata. Plus they have Manny’s on draft.

An absolute gem. Everything on the menu is perfectly cooked, seasoned, and balanced. Service is always so prompt and friendly. Vibe is the perfect blend of cozy neighborhood with elevated dining. And prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food.

Walked in for dinner and they managed to fit us in. Pizza crust was so light—didn't feel heavy after eating—toppings were generous. The cannelloni al Italia was delicious! Looking forward to trying more of the pizzas!

Best pizza I've ever had and I've had good pizza. Must get extra marinara on the side to drizzle over for an extra mouthgasm

The food was phenomenal. The marinara sauce was incredible and the balance of sauce, cheese, toppings, and dough was perfect. Getting extra marinara on the side is a must as well as a side of the Caesar dressing (for dipping the bread and crusts). My only dislikes were that, because it's a small, intimate space, it got loud very fast and the specials board is in an odd spot - in the middle of the wall behind a chair at a table - the chair I happened to be sitting in. It was a bit awkward to have what felt like everyone staring at you trying to read the specials.

We finally stopped in for salad and pizza. Wow. Great staff and great food!

Good pizza, though a bit less toppings and a minute or two more in the oven would make them better. Can be unbalanced and soggy otherwise.

I had a lot of hype thrown at me, people telling me that I absolutely needed to try this place. While the atmosphere is awesome, with basically everything telling me that it's going to be an amazing must-have pizza, my pie was not great. I felt like the sauce was more water than tomato, and the dough was soggy, having no structure, leading to everything falling off the moment you pick a slice up. I had a margarita because I really wanted to try it authentic Neapolitan Pizza, but I think mine didn't come out properly this time around. The crust was good, and given what everyone is saying about this place I believe my experience must be a fluke. I'll most likely be coming back again to see if that's the case, because I really hope it is!

The best Napolitano pizza in Seattle

We had the Giovanni and the Mediterranean pizzas. Both were excellent with a good amount of toppings and the crust was done to perfection. It's kinda tight inside and it can get loud.

True Naples-style pizza! Delicious and it explains why there's always a full parking lot. The burrata appetizer special was incredibly good.

Good pizza for the area, but doesn’t hold up compared to Italian or spots in the north east unfortunately. It’s a solid choice if you need the itch scratched for sure. Wouldn’t recommend the cannolis though. They were pretty stale.

Pizzeria Pulcinella is the closest thing to Neapolitan pizza from southern Italy. Not only is the pizza good but they have the best Caesar salad I have ever had. Their lasagna is also very good! Tip: don’t add too many toppings to your pizza as it will overweight the crust. Less is more Staff is also very welcoming and friendly. Attentive but doesn’t over bother you. Even with turnover they seem to have a consistent waitstaff that maintains this quality.

This place should be busier than it is, the best pizzas and Italian sodas in the area. Espresso is great too! I don’t know what it’s called but the pizza with potatoes on it, I would recommend.

Me and my partner have been looking for a great Neapolitan pizza and finally, we found it here! 💖 such yummy pizza, fast and amazing servers, great atmosphere (felt just like home)… anyway! 10/10 recommend and will be back many more times! And plus, they had delicious desserts 😋

Usually I am not crazy when somebody says: lets get a pizza. But Pulcinella is the one place I get super excited to go eat at. Their pizza is sooo good. I have tried Vomero, and Diavola and they are my favorite, so I usually get those haha. My husband always tries something different and always loves them. Last time, I took a friend along and she loved it as well!!!

What a nice place, second time I've been there and the service is excellent, the pizzas were delicious, the salad and my shot of espresso were delicious. I enjoyed it a lot!!😋🤩🤌

Did an over the phone order for pick up for the capri pizza. I asked for half tomato and half olives. When I came to pick it up, only 3 slices had tomatoes and part of the pizza was missing cheese. Overall it tasted good but it was a small pizza and not worth the $26.

What can I say - the best. Food is simply fresh, quality, and amazing. Pizza done correctly. The meatballs!!! Will return many times. There must be an Italian behind this restaurant.

Our favorite restaurant in the world. The ensalata rucola is so good and lemony, the pizza margherita is classic and amazing, and the mocha decadence cake is the best.

The service is fabulous and the pizza is the best I've had in Washington. Highly recommend the Santa Lucia and Mario. The crew is wonderful and managed to squeeze us in on Valentine's day, which is quite a feat. They were all so lovely and cheery despite how hectic that holiday is for folks in the food and beverage industry. Will absolutely be returning.

So I will sound like a big fat nerd in this whole review but I don't care, I'm in love!! 😍 We went here on a whim based on good reviews and I'm so so glad we did. Drove straight from the airport after flying in from Pittsburgh, and were very hungry and tired. Everything about this experience was pleasant and refreshing. We were greeted and seated immediately by very friendly people. We ordered an eggplant appetizer, Caesar salad, arugula salad, and a margarita pizza. All was beyond excellent. Idk what the heck they do but the seasoning for everything was absolutely perfect. And it tasted like it was made with love honestly. The pizza dough/crust was chewy and crunchy in all the right ways. The sauce is simple but has these complex undertones. The dressing for the Caesar was excellent and the greens were crispy and fresh. The cheese, oh my gosh, the cheese just melted in your mouth. There was a buttery smoothness about the pizza, it was pretty fantastic. And everything was plated and presented beautifully. I am extremely picky and I love food but a lot of times things are just a little off. But Pizzeria Pulcinella way exceeded our hopes. It was a wonderful and unexpected treat. Our server was super sweet and helpful and the decor and atmosphere is cozy and inviting but refined and classic. The bathroom was adorable with cool old pictures and it was just very clean everywhere. I have to come into Seattle once a month for treatment at University of Washington and it's been hard to navigate the food scene. We liked this place so much, we came back two days later before we had to leave town. This time we tried another pizza which was like a supreme pizza, we got the margarita again, and this time a caprese salad to share. It was all so delicious and as good as the first time. My son made it his mission to consume as much of our leftovers at the hotel before our flight back. We even packed the pizza he couldn't finish in our suitcase so we wouldn't leave any behind. That's how good it was! Feel super lucky to have found this gem, and though I'd rather keep it all to myself, I know they deserve the good reviews! They are working hard out there! I will be back every time I'm in town for sure. 10/10 would recommend!! (Also please forgive my poor quality photos! They definitely don't do this place justice!) Edit: so it’s been 2 years since I wrote this and I still think about this pizza at least once a week. And it’s the standard that I hold all other pizzas to 😭

Absolutely love this place! For Neapolitan Pizza, this place is good as it gets compared to the pizzas in Italy. The service was great with friendly waiters. The Resturant is fairly small so you might have to wait for a table on the busy nights on the weekends though. The parking around the resturant can get filled up fast because the resturant is on a neighborhood street.

I placed an order for takeout yesterday night. Since the pizza is wood-fired, it is always best eaten fresh out of the oven; however, since we were running low on time, we ordered takeout. We had recently moved to this region, so the pizza was just what we were hoping for—it was really tasty. Without a doubt, we'll return soon.

Pulcinella has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years. The food is wonderful—we often split their delicious Insalata Pulcinella and Santa Lucia. Everything is always fresh and authentic Italian. Come early because the place can fill up and can get noisy. The staff are very experienced and do a fantastic job. Check this place out!!

We exclusively get pizza and calzones, because they're really good. As a NY native pizza snob, I always enjoy their Neapolitan style pizza. The crust and dough are fantastic with the right amount of char and chew, respectively. This is definitely the best pizza anywhere around the area until you get into Seattle proper, and even then, it holds its own. Service is always friendly. While we always just do takeout, the restaurant atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Loved everything about this place! Me and my husband shared a large Caesar salad, a margarita pizza and cream puffs for dessert. Service was friendly and attentive, food was amazing and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Will be back for sure to try their other pizzas!

Ordered takeout from here last night. The pizza (being wood-fired) is always best enjoyed right out of the oven, however, we were cutting it close to their closing time and did takeout instead. The pizza was very delicious and exactly the kind we were looking for after just moving to this area. We will for sure be back again soon.

Friendly service. The waitress saw my daughter watching the pizza makers throw the dow in the air and so she sat us at the bar in front of the pizza making station. The food tasted good with the wood burning oven taste burned into the dough. They do not have ranch dressing or pineapples, but the house caeser worked as a substitute for the ranch.

Best pizza in town! Unfortunately twice in a row the bottom side of the pizza was burned which left a biter taste. Please look into the oven temperature to avoid this.

Food was delicious 😁 I got one of their fall specials which was the pesto calzone 😁. Our server was patient and kind.

The service was good and it didn’t took us long to be seated. It was busy when we went, can be hard to find parking. I read about this place before going out, people saying it’s the best pizza etc. We ordered 3 pizzas and pasta. I personally didn’t liked the pizza as much the crust was too soft for me, It wasn’t crispy or cooked enough. Sorry but I had better pizzas and the proportion for the pasta was small compared to other places I been to. I personally think it is over priced and food is ok. And we all got sick after it , coughing and Pneumonia.

I went to this restaurant with my family and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was nice, although a bit slow. The food was pretty good, especially the Italian soda! My only complaint is that the bread was a bit soft but I still enjoyed it!!

The perfect place to head after work. The food was delicious. We ordered a pizza and a salad. It was enough to split between two of us and had room for coffee and canolli after. The service there is outstanding. Our waitress was full of sunshine and very attentive. The best part was watching the chefs make the food. They had such a rhythm going!!

Without doubt the best pizza we have ever eaten and we have eaten a lot of pizza within our combined 100+ years of age! HIGHLY RECOMMEND the FOOD and the customer SERVICE was friendly, polite and efficient. Relaxed AMBIENCE, pleasant DECOR and TRADITIONAL wood fired oven. Toilets were CLEAN and fresh and decorated with lovely italian memorabilia

I ordered a couple of pizzas and they came out cold. The service was slow. There was no flavor in the pizzas that we anticipated and for the cost at about $70 we expected better service hot food to our table and more flavor in our pizza or something to justify the price. Also, basic things like the drinks we ordered, which were a couple of sodas, took over 10 minutes to come to our table, there were extenuating circumstances with a homeless person harassing the restaurant so that may have said had something to do with it. One of the sodas was flat and tasted off. Either way it doesn’t change my experience with the food for the service, but I’ll give them credit for the random homeless person harassing them because they had to call the cops and it was a distraction to the crew here.

Our favorite little neighborhood joint. The pizza with Italian Sausage and Gorgonzola is our absolute favorite and they're always good for a decent glass of red and a cozy table on a cold winter's night. Plus, just as importantly, they have a staff that is genuinely friendly and responsive both for dine-in and take-out customers. The only teeny weeny recommendations we'd have would be to not go overboard on the whipping cream on the profiteroles (more cream than dessert!) and to return to the homemade croutons on the salad which we could eat as a side dish if allowed LOL... Other than that though, so good. PS - add spaghetti carbonara to the menu and we'd eat there even more often :)

Visited on a Monday evening, and the place was busy, which was a great sign! We waited about 15 mins for a table to open and ordered their eggplant app, their pulcinella Salad, the Leo which was on their specials menu, and their profitterols for dessert! Everything was excellent. Food, ambiance, and service. Highly recommend a visit. A bonus was the free easy parking next to the restaurant.

Excellent pizza with some of the best crust I have had in the Seattle area. Apps were very good and our arugula salad was dressed perfectly. Service was very good. Just be warned that when full it's a little loud in the small dining area.

The caprese and pizza was delicious; all the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Pizzeria Pulcinella is well worth the time. I would’ve rated them a 5 star, if it weren’t for lipstick on one of the glasses when we were served our Pellegrino beverages.

Management was ungrateful on the phone while I was making a reservation stating that "a party of 12 would cut into regular business on a Sunday evening"... Not impressed with management, but everything else was FANTASTIC!

I stayed in Naples Italy for one week last summer, and had the best pizza of my life there. I have been trying to find a pizza place in Seattle to replicate that experience, and Pizzeria Pulcinella is that place. The owner is from Naples, and their Margherita pizza is made of flour, cheese and tomatoes imported from Italy. The flavor is as authentic as you can get here in Seattle, and I highly recommend. I also tried their Giovanni pizza, it is full of flavors, the best pizza for meat lovers.

Our favorite date night spot! Very warm, welcoming and feels like you took a journey to a cute Italian village. Food is exceptional, my personal recommendations are the wood fired pizzas and salads (all of them tested and are great). Service is very friendly as well!
