Great brews, great bar pizzas, love the owner and her relationships with patrons!

Meh. NOT a "brewery." 🤷‍♂️ They serve other people's beers. Went in for one beer, picked a beer off of their selection of OTHER people's beers (including amazing selections like "Twisted Tea," "Modello," and "Sapporo" lol), then was told they have a 15 dollar minimum for check card purchases. NEVER been to a real brewery who pulls that nonsense. They don't even list the prices for the silly beers they have on tap. I mean... not saying you shouldn't go here. But don't expect a taproom experience. Thunderhead is only a couple blocks away.

Our business rented the beer garden for a private event and had outstanding service! We got pizza from their catering menu, which was delicious! Our waitress was incredibly attentive and provided great service! Definitely recommend Platte Valley to everyone and will be using them again!

We had our wedding celebration here and it was the BEST TIME! Chrystal and Miranda helped us plan everything very efficiently and our guests had the best time. Food and drinks everything was 11/10! HIGHLY recommend for all and any events plus so much more

I ordered a mixed drink and bartender said “no one likes to make those so no. we have beer and hard liquor” with attitude and moved onto next customer. would not recommend.

My favorite bar in Kearney! Dog friendly! People friendly! Bartenders are very attentive. Try the jalapeño pretzel, but instead of cheese, get the marinara. Trust me 🤤 also, SOP! You will not be disappointed. I have never had a bad experience here, and have always felt like this is my home bar!

No longer a brewery and should not be labeled as such. Pizza far from good. Beer could be colder and one of the wait staff not the most welcoming. Kearney has plenty other places to go than here.

They double booked the backroom and Derek got bumped. No room, no ice tea and mens bathroom doorknob needs replaced.

Ya know that place that you can go back to after 4 years and nothing has changed? It's like finding an old comfy t-shirt. Might want to get rid of the blown out chairs in the beer garden though.

Great beer selection and prices. Kind of a hole in the wall type bar compared to the bigger watering holes nearby but holds a great atmosphere with die hard a clientele. Large open beer garden for yard games and enttlertainment, and they host cornhole leagues Wednesday nights during the summer.

I've never been here, before tonight. I was here for a meeting. The pizza was excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive, even in the back room.

Popular hangout spot for beer, both local and abroad. Definitely a busy spot on weekend evenings! Staff was very attentive and quick despite a full house. The brewery dogs are fun to interact with too.

We had pizza twice last week - first one was good, but the shrimp pizza is out of this world yummy. While the toppings were generous, it not overly sauced like most places do. Our only suggestion, the crusts were a little over done (kinda burned).

Nice collection of beers and friendly and helpful staff. Indoor and outdoor areas. The only downside is that it got a bit smelly and smoky from the bar food being cooked. Otherwise, great place to recommend.

Whenever I come through Kearney I have to stop for a pint of S.O.P. and fill my two growlers!!! Crystal has always treated me great. You can’t find this kind of a bar in Lincoln or Omaha. I love this place!!!

The barmaid was super sweet, kind and so friendly! I would go back for her if it wasn't for the spectacular bloodymary I just had, they make them with their wing spice! It was peppery, tomatoey and so wonderful! I watched her put the vodka in, it was quite a bit, but I could not taste it over that wonderfully spiced spice of theirs. I WILL BE BACK!

First of all let's start by not being greeted. 2nd let's talk about the awful pizza with brick crust - did they ask me "how is your food?" Nope. The crowd - I assume the owner and other bartenders sat back and talked about "Kearney's finest" on cruise night day and other patrons. I found the lady with lavender hair to be quite rude, the owner?? with 80's glasses to be classless and the skinny blonde who bragged about giving her kids benadryl so she didn't have to take them fishing. Point is...rude,poor customer service followed by typical entitled women who feel they are better than everyone else to sit back and gossip. Advice ramp up your customer service to ALL paying customers and take a class on business etiquette. To pay $12 for a beer & pizza with zero THANKS was pretty pathetic ✌

The women who were working were wonderful! They we're very kind to our group. We were always checked up on we always had a drink whether it be alcohol or water. Such a pleasant atmosphere. Not somewhere to go party hard but a great place to catch a drink and relax on the outdoor space. Absolutely recommend for a good time. And their pizza is very delicious and really quick to get!

This was a brew pub of its own but now obtains craft beer from all over Nebraska and also sells American standards. Great place to go for St Pat s Day. Is a regular crowd but all very friendly and interest in meeting new people.

Loved the friendliness of this place. The pizza and cheese bread were both yummy. Tried 2 of their own beers and both were excellent. Nice choice of guest beers as well. 23 beers on tap from around the region.

Pale Ale good, very lo floral full bitter and malt ; O-Stout, good but has a bit of a 'porter-ish' [?] flavor to it. - good wifi, dog friendly, no outdoor seating, big sign says 'Tap Room' then brewery, full service with food, ibu/abv's not posted, only three house beers to choose from.

I was traveling through and wanted something more than the usual fast-food chains and narrowed my search down to two local breweries/pubs. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong one. While Platte Valley does have somewhat of a "Cheers" atmosphere, the lone bartender/server was overwhelmed on a Saturday night. The beer was good but the food service was bottom of the barrel. I initially tried to get a 6"inch personal pizza but was told that the pizza dough is frozen and their supplier didn't have enough today. OK. A little while later, I asked for a Cheesey Garlic Bread --- 6" not 12". Again, I was told that it was frozen and they were out. Seriously? You can't cut one in half? I think this spot overall with the TVs controlled by one guy sitting at the bar is really just a beer spot. Don't think about any reasonably tasty food here unless you bring your own from the grocery store. Sad! It could be such a good spot.

Awesome hometown vibe. The bartender knows everyone and their drink. Very friendly. There are pretzels, garlic bread and pizza to snack on. Serve their own brew as well as other local and craft brew.

Great staff - free chicken wings on Friday after 5:30 while they last :) Great tap beers and a wide selection of bottled and can beer. Try the Dead Head Red and tell them Chuck sent you. Great handmade pizzas as well.

Whenever I need a nice relaxing place to enjoy a good beer and good friends, Platte Valley is the first place I think of! I have personally got to know the owners over the years. They are great people who know how to run a great bar!

While on our overnight in Kearney, we stopped in at the Brewery. We were traveling with our small dog and the staff were very gracious about letting us sit out on their lovely patio. What a great find! Several beer options, and very delicious pizza. The service was friendly and the patio was a perfect setting on a nice fall day. Highly recommend!

It's like "Cheers." Knowledgable, friendly bartenders who greet you with a smile. Go there a few times and they remember what you drink. They serve both locally brewed beers and have a diverse selection of familiar favorites on tap and bottle. The atmosphere is laid back, they have private room with catering services, but also local music in the outdoor patio space. Locally made pretzels, good pizza selection and happy hour snacks to please the after work crowd. Our favorite bar in Kearney.

John the owner is a great guy and has a nice big room in back for meetings in which you can close the doors and keep meetings private. And the wait staff is great.

Platte valley no longer brews their beers on site however they do now have their beer brewed by a company off site with the same great taste. I love going down there on friday evenings where the owner makes wings on a grill and brings them out free of charge. Then they have a pizza selection that would compete with any big city pizza place they are delicious and not over priced. Its a small town bar in a growing city and I have no problem taking my kids there. They have a beer garden that has trees a pond and plenty of seating to accommodate lots of people.

I didn't eat here, but the microbrews are great. They have a small beer garden on the side of the brewery. The locals are great.

I guess they quit brewing beer and is now just a place to have a beer. Don't think they have food that we saw, had to go to bar to get served.. Prolly won't go back. Seemed to have its own crowd and didnt need us.
