Our server was Jessica and it was so good service was top notch and the food was way beyond our expectations, definatly going back to try the chicken and dumplins

If you like everything fried Southern style you will like PoFolks. Fried chicken, fried okra, country fried steak. Fried chicken livers and gizzards. Wash it down with sweet iced tea.

Great food, good people, and a great family oriented atmosphere.

Had the chicken fried steak. It was basically a warmed up flat frozen patty and tasted like the old teddy bear meat patties we used to get in elementary school. Red beans n rice was a bowl of rice with some pinto beans tossed , a few shakes of salt and pepper to make right. Slaw and hush puppies were good but nothing special. Ordered a side of gizzards and they were pretty good. The interior was old and outdated, but if you want that old time feel, there it is. The server was super nice and home town friendly which is the reason to go.

First time dinning here and we enjoyed it. Good food, and even better service. Good seafood without the hefty price. The staff were friendly, kind and attentive.

Prices keep going up. Food portions getting Smaller. The White fish dinner is a Gamble. Sometimes get 2 large filets and other times 2 are equal to 1. I get grilled so can tell the size and not eat all the Breading.

Niceville Pofolk's is always pretty great. This time we tried the peach cobbler. Honestly it was more breading than peaches. I probably wouldn't ever order it again. My husband enjoyed his berry cobbler. The chicken fried steak was good,

New to Florida, this is a great place to eat good home cooking!

This is my third visit to the Niceville location and cannot say enough good things about the restaurant. The food is very good, fantastic, as are their prices. I have order fish and shrimp, cooked perfectly, perhaps better than the specialty seafood restaurants. They just get everything correct from hushpuppies, to fried green tomatoes, to the lightly battered fish, and on and on. I have lived here for almost 40-years and this year is my first-time dining here. Why have I missed this place? Well, now I'll be a frequent customer. I highly recommend it.

Not as cheap as it used to be but nothing is. We love their fried green tomatoes.

We usually drive over for Fried Catfish but my hubby had the chicken fried steak and I had the fried shrimp platter! Everything was delicious 😋

On vacation we stopped here everything was excellent, perfectly cooked liver and onions, the green tomatoes were great and the salad was fresh and plentiful price was great

This place was totall nostalgia for me. We used to eat at PoFolks in Tennessee when I was a child and I remembered them having great food so we stopped in for lunch. They don't have the Mason jars anymore, but the quality has not changed a bit. The food was so good that my kids finished every bite of their chicken and dumplings. I got the fried chicken and it was moist and tender. Our waitress was very friendly and took the time to talk to me about the old po-folks that I used to eat at which meant a lot to me. This place is well worth your time and your money for a meal. It's not just the nostalgia, it's just good food.

We enjoyed our meal. Our server Tony was very nice. We stopped here for the nostalgic feels. There used to be one of these where we're from in California. Now there are only a few left in Florida.

The food and service were better than the one in Pensacola but honestly that's not hard to beat. The waitress was a bit rude with my son and slow to bring refills which is why I knocked a star off. My biscuit seems like it was probably made a few hours prior. Overall I would eat there again.

Surprisingly some of the best food we had on our vacation. Down home food was good with the Molasses on cornbread. The locals were great too.

We ordered by telephone and picked up at the drive-thru window. The entrees have generous portions. The two-piece fried whitefish dinner was very good. My sister got the hamburger and said it was delicious. She was able to choose how she wanted it done. Again it was a large portion. The staff was very friendly and patient. We all loved the fried green tomatoes. Unfortunately we can't comment on the atmosphere as we did not go inside. The food was ready on time and packed with care (cold with cold, hot with hot). I also felt the prices were very reasonable.

Came to visit my Airfolk, they said you have to try the chicken and dumplings at PoFolks. Omg, so good but the best part was Jessica. Kindred spirits, we are. Had the best time laughing, stuffing my face and enjoying the southern charm. Also, America's best cup of coffee.

This Po Folks always has that small town, good feel, atmosphere. The food is always delicious and the services always quite pleasant. I don't think it's ever taken more than 20 minutes tops to get our food whether it be me or my wife or the entire family.

Stopped at Danny's Chicken a Mile West after a rude experience where we actually left before the order (can not remember doing this before)... PoFolk was a PLEASENT SURPRISE! Not only an extremely polite hostess but also a fantastic waitress who was so polite and helpful. Food prices were extremely good... The inside was comfortable and relaxing. This is the best choice for a Saturday stop at lunch.

Memory made. Haven't eaten at Po Folks for at least 20 years. Used to eat there with my father in law when our kids were small. This time, we were there with "our" grandkids!

I've been. Eating po p folks since I was like fi. Ve probably even younger. That's as far back as I remembered, but my Grandma knows one of her favorite places to go. She always got the vegetable plate and she loves the sweet tea,And we used to add 1 in fort Walton on a lone Parkway and it closed down. So now we have to go to a nice field to go to it. But I mean, I still like going cause. It is one of my favorite places. Well, if it's the same thing I mean, I do for the most part. I've tried a couple different things here and there. But the countryside stays still my favorite and then like I said, the vegetables. I love the country vegetables. And then, of course, the famous moonpies. And then you know they make the service routine out of the Mason jars, so it's bellywalsher's.. Let's just say no, it's fun and go look at all the like history stuff. They hang up on the walls instead of little different signs and stuff that they use the product in the restaurant, so, but when you're going to youtime, we can get out there..

Haven’t been to a location since they closed the one in Mobile, AL. This place is excellent! They’ve got great people giving great service! Hope they stay around for at least a few more generations.

Best place in town to get liver and fried onions. No where else lol the best. Mashed potatoes and gravy and the green beans are awesome. Fast service also.

Our waiter was stellar! The hush puppies were delish! The blacken shrimp was full of flavor. We will definitely be back❣️ A year later and it’s not as good, okay but that’s it. The rice undercooked and not hot, Mac & cheese not hot, cornbread didn’t taste right. The combo shrimp & fish average. Service okay but could have been better. Real bummer because last year(23) they were great.

We love this restaurant!!! Food is always delicious and the servers are all so friendly. From the fried green tomatoes to the salads and the chicken sandwich, all great! We've tried several dishes and they are consistency delicious. Prompt service too! Prices are great too! Only thing I can say negative is they no longer serve their cheesy grits. They need to bring back the cheesy grits!

We dined here during a lunch hour on a weekday. I ordered Grandma's Fried Chicken with a side of hushpuppies, fried okra, and coleslaw and an unsweetened iced tea. My companion ordered Kuntry-Fried Steak with a side of corn bread, corn on the cob, and sweet iced tea. We enjoyed the food immensely--what was deep-fried was done to perfection. The sides were delicious, generous portions all around, and the iced tea quenched our thirsts like only the South knows how to do! The establishment was clean and welcoming with interesting kitsch wherever we looked. The bathrooms are a little TOO cozy--one can get bumped hard by the door being opened from the outside when washing their hands. Hey, you gotta work with what you got!

Great quaint lil place to eat American comfort food. They have gizzards which are a little hard to get here in our area. Service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive!

I'd rate this higher but got a take out order and they forgot one of the sides,when you charge $15-20 a meal I expect what i order to be in there. Got the fried catfish and it was like they never put it on a sav-a-day or anything to get some of that grease out...little country restaurant old people like,they def put the backwoods redneck thing to use on all the signs and the menu

I want to say I had their 4 pc chicken dinner with 2 sides and a breadstick. There is no place on earth that has a better deal or chicken cooked as well as this dinner. The best thing about the experience was the crispy fried chicken. It was delicious. The sides were so-so. The greenbeans were mushy and the rice was like the kind you boil in a bag. The salt and pepper cream gravy was quite good. We never got any hot sauce for the chicken or honey for the cornbread. If we eat there again we will just get take-out from the drive-thru.

Our waiter didn't care to service us. She would walk away as i was placing my order. She was moving around so fast that she dropped some glasses that shattered when they hit the floor. Tony has been my waiter twice and is outstanding. Blacken whitefish is great, shrimp, had the tbone steak today and that was really good. Fried apples were really good.
