I haven't been here in more years than I care to admit. It hasn't changed much. Friendly young employees working hard to get all the kids and adults their treats. My hard ice cream flavor Black Raspberry was perfect in a waffle cone. Just as good as I remembered it. My kids enjoyed their selections as well. Great place. Only concern was parking as it was packed that night. Worth the trip from The Ville for sure.

Good ice cream and fast service!

I'm a native of Lebanon, NJ and as a young boy of 5 in 1970, The Polar Cub was a regular stop. We lived in the old house that was demolished to make room for the Harley-Davidson shop in Lebanon. Polar Cub had food at that time, and we would eat there (or get ice cream) and then go to the Big W supermarket across the road (now McDonald's in the little strip mall.) So many memories of the great food and ice cream at The Cub. 50+years later, I still go for ice cream, and while prices have changed, the quality has not! It's just as good now at my 59 years of age, as it was when I was 5. My family are all gone now, and Polar Cub stands as a monument to the happier days of my youth. And as I do every year, I'll soon return for more of your awesome ice cream (with a side order of tears as I remember those bygone days with my family. I'll always love you guy for the food, flavor and fun you gave to generations past, and for your continued mission to give everybody the best treats in the world! Forever yours, Shawn

They don’t take credit card or no ATM machine. It’s 2024. There are credit card company where they don’t charge the merchant but the customer. Customers are ok to pay that 3% for convenience. This needs to be fixed asap.

We’ve been going here for years. Ice cream is so fresh and great. We love it here 10/10 recommend.

First time here, I had the banana split not so good. Strawberries were old and dry. That over powered everything else. Icecream was ok. Do not know why people brag about it? Will not go here again

During the months of March - September, it’s hard to beat the soft serve ice cream at the PC. Relatively cheap prices, generous portions, and a 100% chance that you’ll run into someone you know. Definitely worth a stop!

20 years ago, even 10 years ago, Polar Cub was the hottest spot to go to for the BEST ICE CREAM. However, today I was honestly, so very very disappointed. Although still very popular, the quality of the ice cream...it fell very short. Instead of being happily satisfied with my vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles, I was heartbroken to only taste ANOTHER, COMMERCIALLY MANUFACTURED, ARTIFICIALLY FLAVORED Copy Cat. The creaminess of the ice cream, the warmest of vanilla, and sugary crunchiness of rainbow sprinkles has been replaced with a McDonalds ice milk sister, with no flavor, topped with what are now tiny pieces of a Crisco/Wax food coloring thing. If THIS is what "Progress" is looking like....smdh I cannot Be a Part of it.

Polar Cub is our go-to ice cream shop. It is a small town ice cream shop right on Route 22. Selection and prices are quite good so it does get crowded on the weekends. The kids working at the Cub are friendly and efficient. Soft serve vanilla with cherry shell dip and soft serve vanilla with wet walnuts are just perfect for us. Looking forward to pumpkin spice in October! Oh yeah... No credit cards accepted - cash only. Parking and outdoor seating are available.

Great ice cream, good prices, and if you've never been there before it's CASH only. Expect to wait 10+ minutes, even in April if it's a nice night. Totally Worth it! Staff is friendly and will take any request.

First of all, if you look at the bad reviews for this place they have nothing to do with the ice cream. Its all about not taking credit cards. This was my go-to childhood ice cream spot for me and my friends 35 years ago when I was a teen. Finally brought my son there for the first time to experience it. It was great. Just like I remember. Places like this are becoming hard to come buy and im glad its still here. I wish there were more places like this. I hope my son will be able to take his kids there. Portions were generous and great value. everything tasted great. Will always keep coming here

If you know, you know... this place is a legend. Everything is good. I get the monster sized Mocha Malt every time I go and it's amazing

They have good ice cream and a good milkshake but no hard vannila ice cream but the ice cream is pretty good

I love this place!!! It’s the only one of it’s kind left!! It has been around for ever and I’m beyond happy it is! The staff is super friendly and the line goes quick! The ice cream is always delicious and they have a great selection of ice cream, shakes and other items. The twist with rainbow sprinkles is beyond amazing and ice cream is so creamy and delicious! It’s off rt 22 in Whitehouse station and I would highly recommend coming in.

I must say that the ice creams here are simply delicious and RICH in flavor. The Queue moves very fast and doesn’t even feel like you’ve waited. It’s busy even during late in the night and wish they’re open for a little longer than 9:30. They accept CASH ONLY.

They should post CASH ONLY on social media so people don't head out at night to find out in person. Also I called and asked if they were open, I should have been told then when I called. I will change my review sometime down the road if I happen to stop in again. there.

After burgers, fries and beer at the Royal, a quick trip to the Polar Club for dessert is a great way to spend a Sunday evening. One of the best ice cream places around.

I recently visited PolarCub and was blown away by the flavors and quality of their ice cream. The shop had a vintage feel and friendly staff. Very family friendly local place to hang out! Their soft serve vanilla ice cream was amazing. The ice cream was made with high-quality ingredients and tasted fresh and creamy. Overall, I highly recommend this shop to any ice cream lover!

Old fashioned roadside ice cream stand good soft serve at affordable prices. Nice selection including banana splits, malted shakes & even egg cream sodas. My friend who is almost 70 remembers getting Polar Cub as a kid, so you know it’s been around a minute. Enjoy!

Place has gone downhill , past two times ordering a strawberry milkshake they just give me a vanilla shake with a couple of strawberries berried in it.

I waS disappointed. They seemed to have changed their soft serve formula. It's not as good as it used to be. I got a peanut butter dip anD it was terrible. Tasted like chemicals not peanut butter

Best ice cream around! We have been enjoying Polar Cub since moving to Whitehouse 32 years ago. Reasonable prices, even though they have raised the prices (hello inflation) They have a great system and are very efficient at quickly moving the line.

Love love love their ice cream. Nothing like their banana split. Lines can be long but it's so worth the wait. The didn't recieve 5stars because of the dogs they allow the customers to have in the line. Every dog is not friendly.

I absolutely love the ice cream it’s my favorite and I hardly eat ice cream and I drove out there yesterday and it’s far for me and you have it on your website you’re open you need to fix the website when you shut down for the winter evidently you did it early I was going to get your famous pumpkin ice cream that we love I understand that you need to close but change it on your website

Polar Cub is reminiscent of the many summer off- the-highway ice cream 🍦 stands that once dotted the county roads beginning in the 1950's. It's the only one that l know of in this area. Patronized by old and young, families, as well as individuals, it's often a required stop by commuters driving west on highway 22 on the way home.

Great ice cream, but they don't take card and they don't have any indoor seating (not a massive issue though).

The ice cream is creamy and, I enjoyed the seasonal flavors of the soft serve this year. I really enjoyed my ice cream treats this summer at Polar Cub!

This old-school ice cream stop has great hard & soft serve, excellent pricing and has been in the same spot for at least 30 years. This cash only shop will not disappoint... suggestion: get a small cause the servings are hefty😎

Excellent old school ice cream shop, I went here 40 years ago when I was a kid, and it's still the same, and that's a good thing. My only gripe is they could add more benches for seating next to the parking lot. Other than that, great ice cream, huge portions, and reasonable prices.

I’ve been going to the Polar Cub (or as my family calls it, PC) ever since I was a kid and we’d drive over 30 minutes to get there. Even now that I live half way across the country, it’s always a favorite spot to visit whenever I’m back in town. Flurry blends and root beer floats are a must! You definitely get a good bang for your buck here. Only downside is that it’s cash only.

Staff is warm and welcoming and the ice cream cannot be beat! The owner Vincent runs an amazing operation and his shop has the incredible following to back it up. 11/10 and I’ll definitely be back with friends!!!

The ice cream is average at best. And had to sit in a 25 min line just to hear we dont accept credit. Like really! What is this 1910?!!! Oh and get this the people that go there are very rude and selfish. Couldn't even go there to try it the first time because the parking lot is to small and people just sit in the car instead of just going home once after they get the ice cream because they enjoy clogging up the parking lot and not let anyone else park. You want a good ice cream place, try blizzard island in Piscataway, NJ. It blows this junk out of the water.

I always make a pit stop here with my mom on the way to the casino in Bethlehem. Great soft serve ice cream and friendly staff. Can get busy but I don't mind. It's all worth the wait!

Awesome and tasty ice cream! Nothing to not like. I keep going back. Make sure you bring cash though. They don’t take credit cards. I understand the no credit card thing. I own a business and am tired of making credit companies rich with the expensive merchant credit card fees.
