I got the 16 Oz sirloin steak it was the most tender steak I've ever had, the waitress was super nice and enthusiastic and the building itself well decorated

Items listed online were not available. Waiter blamed it on Google. Vegetables were overcooked and not recognizable. Overpriced. Service was good.

I took 7 people for Monther Day and it all was the worst experience of my 30 years of dining. I spent over $800 dollars and would never ever go back to this place. Food was so over priced and was awful! It took 1.5 hrs to get our dinner as well. My $80 Filet and Shrimp - The filet was the size of a silver dollar the shrimp were translucent and very small. I never write reviews but do not ever go to this place!!!!

I took my mother for Mother’s Day. The service was very good. Our waitress was friendly and had her “A” game on. We both started with the She Crab Soup and it was the best we have had and told our waitress to pass our compliments to the chef. That is pretty much where it ended. We both had the Seafood Lazagna with shrimp, lobster and scallops if I remember correctly. This meal was so bland as all we could taste was pasta and cheese. This was a huge let down after eating the soup. This is a new place and I hope it works out the kinks but we both agreed that it will be along time before we visit again. Prices…. I knew it was expensive but spending $178 for lunch and two drinks is ridiculous as my mother put it. That price did not include the tip. I wish them the best but the prices will only cater to a select clientele. My guess is the local people will not eat there and you need the local clientele to survive.

The meal was a perfect Mothers day brunch. We started with an amuse bouche grilled peach with gorgonzola crumbles and balsamic pearls The She Crab soup was especially good. They offered a fixed price menu for MD, we had the grilled filet and shrimp over asparagus and potatoes au gratin and Confit Duck over spinach and ricotta ravioli. And finished up with a red velvet cake mousse. We'll done!

First time visit since new restaurant opened. Great experience, delicious meal, friendly and professional staff. Good selection of cocktails and wines. We look forward to returning soon!

First time experience.....first of all the room was cold. Food portions very small. My steak was tough. Overall disappointed.

The restaurant just opened recently and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is still working out some kinks and I am interested in going back in a couple of months to try again. I would recommend the Greek salad and Smoked Salmon in Puff Pastry with Tubule appetizer. For my main dish I ordered the Shrimp Romano which was okay. The sauce was delicious, but the shrimp lacked flavor and overcooked. The short rib Ragu was very tender, but lacked flavor. Lastly ordered the blood orange crème brûlée which was flavorful, but still had raw sugar that was not blowtorched on top. I have mixed feelings about the food, but willing to try again in the next couple of months.

This was the first time we had been to prime, and we absolutely loved everything about it. The food choices were great. The ambience was beautiful and the staff was very good. I am so glad to have a high-end restaurant close by and somewhere we can bring our friends from out of town. Besides tides in!!

Magical new restaurant in Topping, Wonderful urban atmosphere in a rural setting. Food was outstanding, menu diverse and helpful for dietary choices or restrictions. Wait staff very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. It's definitely Prime.

I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've rated a restaurant based on my first visit. I have to be blown away by my experience to do so. My first visit to Prime Mediterranean was a delightful fluke. I was headed somewhere else and noticed this establishment was open. I parked with ease and was able to find a seat at the bar. Reservations are strongly recommended...something I learned this visit. A gentleman was playing jazz guitar and the music elevated the ambiance. I enjoyed a Caesar salad and the beef ragu main. The ragu was loaded with melt in your mouth beef and gorganzola pasta sachets. It was phenomenal. This is what I'd consider an adult venue...meaning small children would be welcomed...but it's far more upscale and suited for evenings with friends, date night or a business dinner. Jennifer, the bartender, and my wait person was super friendly. I definitely would return and next time I am leaving room for baklava.

This review is coming from from someone that worked at Eckhard's for most of my childhood and through college. I really loved the food and the people there and it was sad to see it go. There are no entrees with salad and multiple sides included at Prime. However, with that said Prime Mediterranean was an excellent experience with a whole range of flavors in everything we ate down to the bread appetizer. Everything had a unique and additional flavor than what you might expect. Both my wife and my dishes were a step above what we were expecting and both the creme brulee and baklava desserts were great as well. It was also a nice treat to be served by Jessica as she used to work at Eckhards as well.I highly recommend and can't wait to come back again.

First of all, this is NOT Eckard's. Pay no attention to reviews of a tired German-Italian restaurant on the site. No new restaurant missteps here. We dined on a Monday (!!!!) Evening, day #4 since they opened. The artichoke tabouli appetizer soared to my best ever top 10 list. Our after dinner chat with the chefs was a delight. They are living proof that the big cities don't hold a monopoly on culinary talent!

Taste of the Sea Rock Fish, Picatto w/Chicken,Pear and Cheese Sachiette, all were excellent . The desserts were so delicious! We shared and I don't remember the names of all three but scrumptious indeed. Raspberry and fig cake, and chocolate chip cheesecake. The service was e cellent and everything was beautiful. Look forward to going back !

Food and service was excellent. The Chicken Picatta was prepared to the nines as was the Spanakopita. The lemon, raspberry & fig cake was the perfect way to end the meal. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

This is a great restaurant. Friendly, classy, terrific servers, excellent high quality food, amazingly well made cocktails. My personal favorites here are the Prime Rib, or the Fra-diavolo. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. My wife will usually have the fish, always a good choice. Oh! I almost forgot don't forget dessert! I think I'm going to make a reservation now.

We went here for my wife's birthday dinner. I made reservation using google. We arrived and they had our reservation and we were seated immediately. We had escargot for our appetizer and they were wonderful. The escargot was baked in butter with garlic. Yum! If you've never tried it, you owe it to yourself to try them! The service was excellent! We spoke to the chef after our appetizer, complimenting him on the Escargot. Shortly after our entrees arrived. My wife had the Baked Salmon En Croute while I had the Clams Fra-Diavolo. Both were excellent and the protions were, well as you can see, generous to say the least. Just as we were finishing our entrees, our waitress bring out Bread Pudding with Hot Bourbon Sauce. Compliments of the house. She had asked what brought us out that night and was listening when my wife said it was her birthday. We had a wonderful expirience and the food and the service were well worth the price of admission.

Highest quality of food for the price on the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Eckard's has a great menu offering German, Steaks, Seafood and Italian dishes. The service is exceptional and they have your table ready at the time you requested when you made reservations. The total bill is a little higher compared to other family restaurants on the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck, but the quality and taste of the food is well worth the little bit of extra money you pay. The appetizers and homemade desserts are actually very reasonably priced. We do not dine out that often, but in the future when we do, Eckard's is worth the 30 minute drive and now our go-to family restaurant.

The hours and days open are hard to remember but the food is good. Their service and cook staff are top notch. The waitress we had last time was excellent, she let us take our time looking over the menu. She was very polite when talking to us. We had a question she didn't know the answer to, instead of making a guess she found out from another waitress. I'll be back again and I hope you can give them a try.

Absolutely amazing food. Neptune pasta is the best! Pricing may be higher than your average restaurant, but you get what you pay for. And the prices aren’t unreasonable either. This is a sit down type of restaurant with a server. Italian and German entrees. You won’t regret spending the time and money to come here!

Been dining here for years and they have reached perfection. German classics and a few Italian dishes, as well as local favorites. Excellent Prime Rib. Try the Beer Battered Asparagus appetizer if they have it. Light, crispy, divine. Baked Salmon with a rich Bearnaise sauce. Great authentic German beer selection on tap. Great atmosphere and very friendly service.

Went to Eckhard's to meet a friend of mine on his recommendation. He told me that this restaurant has always been good and consistent through the years. I was not disappointed. Eckhard's started life as a German restaurant and it still serves German dishes. I had Zigeuner Schnitzel and it was very good. They also serve American and Italian food. The Italian dished our wives ordered were good as well. The service was good and very friendly. The atmosphere is very old-school with wallpaper and chandeliers. I found it quaint and charming if not a little kitschy. We sat at the bar waiting for our friends and I can tell you the bartender does not skimp on the liquor when pouring drinks. I recommend this place for good food and old-school charm.

First time. Food is really good. Wild mushroom soup is so delicious you don't want to swallow. NY strip was beautifully prepared, prime, buttery, perfection. 5/5 will over-endulge again. Oh, and a great value too.

We were in Deltaville working and came upon this place by accident! The homey setting caught our eye so we decided to stop. So glad we did. Our waitress was so awesome! Our two year old son was with us and the waitress took great care of him. Food was perfect and service was great! We will definitely go back!
